Hi! I love your art style so much! What art program and/or brush do you use? Thanks! :]
Tumblr media
I use procreate! The most common brushes I use are the sketch 6b pencil and the gloaming brush. I achieved the color changing effect by tweaking with the color dynamics of the brush. These are the settings I use!

Miss Huang is just a reflection of what Cobel and probably Milchick once were: children used, exploited, and psychologically manipulated to serve and be loyal to Lumon. Her addition this season now makes complete sense; it’s a way of showing us just how deeply the company employs the usual mechanisms of a cult—recruiting its members from childhood, manipulating them, brainwashing them, holding them responsible as adults for mistakes made at a young age, denying them the ability to have opinions or to think for themselves beyond the precepts of the cult, and robbing them of a normal childhood.
The fact that when the children finish their “internship,” they have to leave behind an object of emotional value and destroy it, and that Milchick carefully chooses something that still ties Miss Huang to that childish mindset—to the part of her that wants to play, to be a normal child—is utterly terrifying but also disturbingly realistic if you think about how cults manipulate their younger members by denying them the chance to enjoy the most crucial stages of cognitive development. Milchick looks at himself, reprimanding himself for indulging in a childish mindset, projecting his own experience onto Huang, likely thinking of the child he once was, just like her, and the things he must now deny himself as he denies them to her—because that’s the way of Kier.
And then there’s Cobel, who represents the future of all three: someone who gave her life to Lumon and Kier, only for the corporation to take everything from her, including the ideas that led to her success, and ultimately discard her as if she were just an obsolete cog in a vast machine. It’s brilliant, truly brilliant. Huang, Milchick, and Cobel somehow embody the past, present, and future of the organization’s workers and how their path and fate unfold within the company.
And all of this is revealed in tiny doses, in ways that seem meaningless at first, until eventually, when you have enough pieces of the puzzle, you can see the entire perspective and realize that none of it was placed there by chance. Beyond their individual storylines, there is a collective narrative that essentially shows us how Lumon’s mechanisms of manipulation work. Honestly, this seems like one of the most brilliant scripts I’ve ever seen. Seriously, this show is a masterpiece.

you know what? i would be insane too if some corporate cult forced me to work in an ether mill as a child, groomed me in their boarding school, used my child prodigy genius to invent revolutionary brain surgery that becomes the most important invention of the company with zero fucking credit, and then 20 some years later fires me from my job bc the ceo’s daughter unknowingly started a fucking revolution against the abusive workplace i helped birth, and then said ceo’s daughter tells me i “overestimated my contributions” to the company.
in fact, i don’t think harmony is unhinged ENOUGH. give that woman a gun right this second.

Season 3 of Severance better just be Seth Milchick discovering work-life balance. Let him have a torrid love affair and eat ice cream on his couch and watch tv. He should get to be at da club...

In the news that we will have a 3rd season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians (yay!! đź’™), I think there is something we need to be clear regarding Nico Di Angelo casting.
Nico is 9 in The Curse of the Titan, and due to the fact that so far, the ages of the actors have been closely accurate to the characters; we will have a child actor playing Nico. My guess is that he won't be older than 12. You heard that, a child.
We all know he is a fan favorite and that a lot of us love the Solangelo ship, however, this won't grant us any right on harassing the child regarding his sexuality, sexualizing him at such a young age or (heaven's forbid) bullying him because he may not be as cute as you pictured Nico.
Actually, the same goes for the Rachel actress. If you don't like the character, okay, but that is not justification for attacking a teenager.
I'm not even joking about this, I'm ready to start reporting accounts that bully these kids. Just like a did with the ones that were attacking Leah.
I know these points are obvious for a lot of us, but there are people out there who try their best at being awful.

The absolute tragedy that is Harrow fucking destroying herself just to keep from turning around in the vain attempt to keep Gideon alive but the fucking last word out of her month is a name her brain refuses to know.
It’s like if Orpheus cut out his eyes and lost Eurydice anyway because she refused to leave the Underworld since he refused to look at her.

Imagine you’re some little evil woman sitting in Hades’ throne room when Orpheus walks in to make a deal to get Eurydice back, and Hades is like “yeah ok, just don’t look back otherwise she has to stay here” then walks out of the room. Almost immediately after hearing the conditions, Orpheus breaks his own neck so that it is physically impossible for him to turn it, and then demands that you gouge out his eyes for good measure. Eurydice then gets really upset because she’s convinced this is a sign that Orpheus hates her and never wants to see her again, and Orpheus is completely convinced that this was a normal and logical thing to do.
You are literally the only person in the universe who recognizes this as an act of love. They both then insult you to your face for thinking this is anything other than very normal (Orpheus), or petty hatred (Eurydice).
You are Ianthe Tridentarius.
