The Oldies in TS1

This post from MtS portrayed the Oldies as hippies and you know what, I am inclined to agree. Here is my take on the Oldies in the TS1 timeline.

Herb and Coral being hippies and Myron and Irma being laid-back, wacky grandparents really tickles me somehow, cause Mary-Sue and Daniel become yuppies later, and though she was raised in a free-spirited household, she was always prim and proper and was always destined to be the cold, stiff career woman in the future.

Anyway, I always pictured Herb as a door-to-door salesman (he was described as crafty, so idk, maybe toys?) who gardens and Coral as one of those liberal moms who are passionate for local causes. I like @emperorofthedark's version of her as a librarian, and I see her as having study groups like Laura Dern in Palm Royale.

Myron was a retired, environmentally-conscious cameraman who spent his working years in Studio Town while Irma was a retired, superstitious secretary at a traveling agency.

Bruno Ruggbyrne is Coral's father who raised her single-handedly while working as a doctor cause his wife Mamie left them when Coral was young to join a cult (the Kine Society). He's a sweetheart but is probably the least wacky member of the family and so Mary-Sue takes quite a liking to him, much like how Lilith was close to Herb in @emperorofthedark's story.

You know I didn't even notice Sandy was there when Mary-Sue showed up and Hamilton was kissing her. I love the pictures I take for that reason. I see details in them sometimes that I missed while playing. And Sandy is waving, and Hamilton is just aggressively kissing Mary-Sue.

Daniel has been fascinated with space ever since his father's Mars expedition hit the news. Good thing he found a woman whose eyes reflect the beauty of the universe itself. Will Mary-Sue get her long-awaited promotion, and can Angela and Lilith make the right choices when it comes to love?

BURB = CURIOUS Jennifer is interested in the vastness of universe, but for a different reason her brother is. Where is she from? What really happened on her father's Mars expedition? Was it anything like the experience her husband went through during his abduction? Maybe the answer is much closer than she thinks.

OLDIE

Oldies have been a long-time residents of Strangeview. Unable to fulfill her role as a Birth Queen, Coral escaped with her beloved with a tiny alien aboard. Will Herb realize that the result of his last mission as a Pollination Technician is somewhere nearby? okayyyy i had so much fun making this. the idea hit me literally yesteday and i was on the rideee hope u enjoy ^_^

"You're just in time for the start of the interview"

"Ew, who's that egotist on the TV?"

"I'm about to leave for a three year mission to Mars and this is what you say to me?"

"You two are not wearing red"

"You mother sends her regards, something important came up and she lost track of time"

"Just pulled an all-nighter to study"

"Bella's helping me move my work to Barnacle Bay, we picked out a new office"

"I guess you're serious about this, why the Bay?"

"My daughter's there, she is willing to try and have a relationship with me"

"In that case, you better get packing"

"Eh?"

"Well, sudden move, sudden break up. You should get out of my house right away"

"What?"

"I mean it, Michael. You want this, you fuck off out of my life tonight"

"Normally you're my Grandfather's lacky, Lisa"

"Assistant is the word, Malcolm"

"I think it's actually mistress"

"How old are you anyway? Sixty?"

Mary-Sue has accompanied Angela this time to share the happy news with her parents that they're expecting another grandchild.

Coral: It better not be twins again.

The rest of the guests join them for dinner and Coral embarrasses Angela with a little anecdote about her birthday.

Angela: Grandma!

The teens try to make Brandi uncomfortable while she has her usual second helping. She's totally unfazed, though.

Brandi: You forget I was pregnant with you when I was your age.

Then Dustin tries to clean out Mary-Sue at poker.

Mary-Sue: Do you think a runner can out-fraud a politician?

Dustin: 😑➖

Angela just keeps kicking Lilith's ass. She also has zero qualms about beating up her twin in front of the family.

Cass isn't so lonely anymore! And looks like she won't have to worry anymore either. This house went from pretty empty to full!
