Tentatively coming out of my hiatus (once again) with some random pictures from my very new Veronaville/Berrybury/Downtown save

Added the Tricous (and Rainelle since she came with the subhood that had the alive Tricous). Here’s my makeovers of the Tricou women and Rainelle. Had to give Jennicor the tiddies dress because yes.

Speaking of Rainelle, she had memories of having an affair with Kiernan so I took it one step further and poof. Vera Neengia was born. Rainelle’s currently a struggling model, living in a shitty house and is a single mother.

Nylissit and Gvaudoin hate her guts. So you know, fun. Tbf, they hate Kiernan too lol. Most of the Tricou family does actually 🫣

And then a quick peek @ Jon’s family tree because phew. Many children.

Side note: I won’t go back to posting gameplay pictures like I did before. I found it contributed to my burn out of the game. So I’ll just be posting random pictures whenever I feel like or whenever something interesting or stupid happens. I’m doing much better mentally, setting up and playing what I have so far in this save has been a great distraction.

I wanted to show whatever other pictures I took (not a lot, this save is literally fresh) but Tumblr mobile has a 10 pic limit so 🙃 no more pictures for you or me on this post.

A few notes:

This is specifically formatted for a computer. You will need a mouse for parts of it! I tried looking at it on my phone, and it was garbage. I apologize to mobile users, but that just wasn't a priority.

This popped into my head unexpectedly, and I had to slap it together in less than a week, so I apologize if it sucks. Due to the time constraint, I didn't have as much time to do my customary 7000 rewrites, I didn't get as many pictures as I wanted, and the writing itself is a little... well, hopefully you'll forgive me someday.

THE EGG HUNT

The Egg Hunt portion uses image maps, which I've heard can be a little wonky. I will make an image map-free version (today even!), but for right now, fingers crossed that it works.

In order to participate in the "Egg Hunt," you'll need to run your mouse over the image until a little "?" appears by the cursor. Not all eggs are visible! And not everything you find is an egg! There are clues hidden in a couple of locations that are connected to the main story line, so I hope you find them!

I worry that even with the clues, though, that the story might be a little obscure, so feel free to ask for any clarification you need.

THE CHILDREN

You can "play" as Angela, Lilith, Dirk, Dustin, Gvaudoin or Fricorith. I did recycle a lot of text, but I tried to give each character their fair share of unique text, as well.

"Lady Jennicor - I am so sorry."

Rainelle delivered her apology in great heaves, with her shoulders at her ears and fingers crushed into fists. One week and change after the undercroft was invaded by an oaf and an overlord (and she'd let it happen), the coffin lid swung open from the inside and Lady Jennicor Tricou rose from its plush interior. She was awake.

The increase in bat chitterings from the shadows had let Rainelle know the family were discussing something - likely, how much they trusted her to take care of the House of Fallen Trees, and when to come back and fire her - but the decision was ultimately Lady Jennicor's. Her hibernation was taken in classic (and comfortable) coffin form, citing her bat wings not being as strong as they were in youth. Rainelle, hearing the coffin creak, had thrown down her polishing cloth and ran to fetch the black lace-embroidered dress Jennicor had set aside to change into. She easily slipped off her nightgown as if she'd just had a single good night's sleep instead of hundreds.

"Have a seat by the pool, Miss Neengia." The order was delivered with upturned mouth corners - she'd noticed the rocks and water turning a portion of the space into a spring. Rainelle couldn't be sure in the moment whether this was a nice surprise or not. Maybe it just the cherry on top of the incident. In the end, Rainelle couldn't remain seated, so hot was her blood with shame, so she stood, her limbs scrunched up as if she a ball of paper ready to be thrown away.

The hand was cool when it slipped around her knuckles. "Rainelle." Her given name drifted across her, soothing aloe vera. "I'm proud of you."

She was Miss Neengia, the heiress of responsibility to serve the Tricou family and preserve their home in hibernation, keeper of the wine cellar, duster of the bunnies. She was also Rainelle, horror film-avoidant twenty-something, still holding on to her grandmother describing her as an ingénue. She fell to her knees and sobbed in Jennicor's lap. As the Lady applied her cooling embrace, bats joined them. One by one, in puffs of purple-tinged smoke, the daughters, husbands, and grandchildren appeared, surrounding Rainelle in a swath of greyish-green skin and gothic fashion from decades past.

Rainelle knew the family tree well from her grandmother cracking open the family photobook and introducing her. She didn't expect the daughters to immediately divorce their husbands on returning to human form but they had their reasons (after a long time to think, Nylissit realised she was a lesbian, and Jennail felt the spark was gone). The grandson was warmer than the granddaughter but there was still time to earn trust.

For Lady Jennicor's part, she seemed happy to be back. Rainelle, producing generous pours of dark wine, spotted her idly running a finger down one of her fangs, her eyes crinkling and sparkling.

It was an honour to retain the role of Miss Neengia.

after escaping the grand vampire council in downtown sim city, the tricou kids open a bar in deadtree, strangetown, which is about as far as they can get without making the long trip through the empty desert to oasis springs.

this is a lot by @pixelatedollhouse edited just a bit to make it fully vampire themed, make the public area of the basement a little more classy bc i feel like gvaudoin wouldn't tolerate anything less, and of course to add their little basement apartment.

the kitchen is mostly decorative since gvaudoin doesn't eat and fricorith usually eats takeout. gvaudoin's little coffin room is only accessible through the walkin closet in fricorith's bedroom.

they spend most of their time upstairs so they don't have a lot of stuff (also i am bad at cluttering lol)

When Gvaudoin graduated from college, she knew the first thing she had to do was find a place where she could live with her sister. She didn't trust her parents to raise Tamar properly. While Dirk loves his huge family, he was more than happy to move in with Gvaudoin and Tamar.
