This is totally my fault for forgetting to put Nina on birth control, and I don't think she wants children, at least not at this point in her life. So, the morning-after pill it is.

Nina: I'm not raising a child with that disaster of a man.

Nina ends her day off as a Romance sim does.

Nina: I'd like to try with you something I've never done before.

Don: I'm up for it.

Nina: I didn't tell you what it is.

Don: I'm up for it.

I like how the game switches to 3X speed when sims get into a closet; are closets in The Sims 2 doors to Narnia?

Nina: Did you just eneter my closet wearing the scrubs you wore at the hospital?

Don: Of course not, what makes you think that? 😅

Nina visits the Sim Center South on her day off. She plays with a stray dog while Herb Oldie and Leod McGreggor hog the soccer net.

She also makes Isabella Monty's acquaintance, only to confront her about her family's business.

Nina: The mozzarella on your pizzas is not real bufala!

Nina finally finds something to exercise with.

Back to the Main Street condos! We'll be alternating the Calientes' round with Don's, for reasons.

Last time:

Don got a little too affectionate with Bella and was beaten up and dumped by Cassandra as a result. He stayed romantically involved with both Nina and Kaylynn, and also fell in love with Dina.

Dina failed to find any job she liked and started an online financial advice scam to earn some money. She tried (and failed) to "lay a claim" on Mortimer, who feels conflicted between her and Bella.

Nina found a job in the Athletic career as a team mascot. She also tried (and failed) to persuade her sister to find her own place and leave her alone.

Nina sticks to her early morning training routine, with impressive results!

And Dina finally finds a job in her dream career, Entertainment, starting as a stand up comedian.

More cold meat sandwiches?

Nina: Grilled cheese ones!

We call that being a natural cook!

Nina still can't stand Dina's manners at the table.

Nina: Why do you have to be so disgusting?

Dina: Fish gives me gas.

Nina: It's fucking cheese.

Poor Dina feels rather sick and takes a little nap before work.

And Nina has been promoted to Rookie!

Nina: I'm rook-ing it!

Nina: Ugh, why do I always have to clean after her? I work full time outside the home too...

Dina: Congratulations on the nooboo!

Nina: There's not going to be a nooboo.

Dina: Wait, really? But why not? If I were you, I wouldn't have wasted the opportunity!

Nina doesn’t want her career interrupted though, and doesn’t give it a second thought. On her way to work, she runs into Coach Daniel Pleasant.

Daniel: I can tell you all about the team's fitness routine.

Of course he invites himself in when Nina is gone.

Daniel: This show feels familiar for some reason.

Dina is intriguingly hungry that morning.

Daniel: Ah, thanks for breakfast. Have you ever done it in public by the way?

Dina: Who are you?

Dina has a chat with the landlady while Nina is at the park.

Dina: I broke the computer while playing SSX 3, can you fix it?

She also invites Mortimer over.

Dina: I missed you so much! smooch smooch

Landlady: *mechanical noises*

Dina: And no one really appreciated my performance. Can you believe it?

Mortimer: My dear, I'm sure you'll get the attention you deserve in no time.

This is what Dina does when Nina leaves for work.

She starts her working schedule with a day off but is very eager to try the stage. She asks her friend Brandi to come along with her.

Herb Oldie also joins their impromptu performance, but none of them has any creativity points. Still, we manage to earn §10.

Brandi: That was so fun!

Dina: If you say so.

That evening, Nina comes home with a promotion! She's now in the Minor Leagues.

Nina: No more llama costume 🥳

Dina knows nothing would seduce Mortimer like encouraging him to talk about entomology.

Finally, Mortimer rolls the want to get married to Dina! You will have to take my word for it, because wants are barely visible in my tiny UI.

Leaving aside Dina's fiscal interests, I think these two could genuinely be happy together.

Would it even be a real date if they didn't end up making out on a park bench at dusk like horny teenagers?

It's getting late, and Dina asks Mortimer to come back home with her. The date was going great, but for some reason Mortimer rolls a want that had eluded him until now: to get married to Bella.

Dina eventually takes Mortimer out of the claws of the grand vampire.

Grand vampire: That's what she thinks 😉

But, as soon as they reach the dream date state, Mortimer rolls the want to marry Bella again.

Dina: Are you fucking kidding me, old man?

So, congrats to the 12 poeple who voted Bella, and congrats to the 7 people who voted Dina. All of you were right.

At this point, what else was for Mortimer to do?

They come home together, but Mortimer leaves immediately. This means I failed the scripted events. Again.

❌ Lay a claim on Mortimer.

Dina: I'm still digging for gold 😢

Since this was going nowhere, I unlocked their wants to marry each other. I kept the "marry a rich sim" want locked, though (I consider it Dina's secondary LTW).

Michael was haunting by the pool that night.

The grand vampire scares Mortimer! Yay!

Dina: Hold your friend back, that man is taken.

At least Dina has enough money to order a drink while...

Mortimer decides to play cards again, this time with the grand vampire and a heavily pregnant Ana Patel.

Ana: I'm so comfortable here.

Cassandra comes to keep Dina company on the meantime.

Cassandra: So happy to be of use 😠

Nina starts her morning with a splash in the pool!

Dina starts her morning by once again failing to find any job she likes. She seeks solace in chatting online with Mr. Big (!) only to discover that they have no chemistry whatsoever (!!!).

Dina: No ninja.

She ends up spending the whole morning working on her financial advice scam again, which eventually pays the bills.

Nina: I don't know how her master plan of persuading the old man to marry her by talking about ants could have failed.

Don, do you live here now?

Don: 😁

Dina: Is this to be endured?

While Dina and Mortimer are at the park, Nina spends the afternoon with Don.

Nina: I got the job with the Boxing Llamas!

Don: Let's celebrate!

Dina and Mortimer come back home eventually, but don't linger downstairs.

They had a dream date, but I chickened out after seeing Mortimer's want to marry Bella and didn't make Dina propose.

Some hours later, Don wakes Dina up to complain.

Don: Whose place stinks now, huh?

Dina: Come on, Don. Don't be childish.

Dina, on the other hand, isn't as lucky. She has a want to earn money, but there aren't any jobs available that I think she'd like. After fulfilling that by giving financial advice to idiots on the internet who'd pay to get some from someone with literally no clue about Economy, all that's left are stupid wants for buying expensive things and the "marry a rich sim" one. So I guess it's time to follow the scripted events and "be agressive".

That means we're asking Mortimer out on a date.

You're not coming with us this time, Bella.

Bella: That's what you think.

Both Nina and Mortimer have Nature as their predestined hobby, so we're visiting Woodland Park (@executables-sims makeover 💚) this time. As you can see, Dina has but one thing in mind.

Next up are the Caliente sisters. Looking good!

The round starts with some skilling as per the sister wishes (I never ignore skilling wants).

Nina: I know this has been a rough time for you, but Michael's been gone for months now, and it seems like you've moved on. So, don't you think it's time to settle down on your own? You wouldn't want to live in your sister's condo forever, would you?

Even though we've given Bella her own house, she insists on sticking around.

Bella: My house doesn't have a pool.

There's a public pool just down the street, you know.

Nina: Michael! Careful with the table!

Nina: Come on, eat! I've put a plate for you.

Dina comes home intriguingly exhausted and eats Michael's dinner.

She's too tired to notice late her husband's presence.
