I've never read a Marauders fic where this didn't happen. But most fics begin in fifth year and there is never a backstory to how this arrangement developed. So when do YOU think they started cuddling all night? *Edit: Platonic cuddling, not sex. Just FYI :) Also, doesn't have to be every night, but more than once in the entire school year.

Spoiler for my series: I HAD to show this dynamic developing over many years.

First year: Sirius starts being Remus' full moon comfort person almost immediately, but they only actually fall asleep in the same bed one time during the year.

Second year: they sleep in the same bed around full moons. Remus needs the physical contact to calm him.

Third year: their sleepovers are ticking up. James in well aware there is more going on than meets the eye. But Sirius and Remus are in denial... for the most part.

I won't say anymore. Third year is posting in TWO WEEKS!!! James POV. So much subtextual Wolfstar tension and angst. <3 <3 <3
