You expect to wake up to your alarm; maybe your partners arm slinking over your waist, the cat pressing itself into your space. Any of your normal indicators that it's time to wake up.
What you don't expect, however, is to feel the thick underside of a gut brushing against the bottoms of your knees, an unfamiliar dip in your sofa, normally vacant space on the couch filled in by a wide, soft expansion of...you.
The second thing you feel is something cold and wire-like being squeezed by the unfamiliar folds of your throat, coupled with cold air shooting into your nose. You reach with with a newly bloated hand, fingers tight and tingling with a numbness you recognize via hours of horny scrolling through diabetes symptoms pages. You shudder as you pull a sweat greased cord to a nasal cannula from your third or fourth chin, huffing slightly. Most likely from holding your arm up past your chest for longer than a few seconds for the first time in God knows how long.
You move onto to the main issue; hands travel down, sausage fingers wrap themselves around your third to last love handle, right under your saggy f-cups, breathing unconsciously growing harder as you wobble one of your many new slabs of meat. You smooth your hands over your belly, a pale white apron taking up your entire lap, now the size of a park bench and about as soft as a bowl of cool whip, stiff peaks melted down to a flabby mess and dripping off your thighs, burying your crotch and a swollen fupa.
You hold your arms out in front of you, cellulite and blubber dripping off of them as you think about all the times you prayed for this. Fantasizing with weighted suits, peeping at larders in public, eyes closed, hands down your pants as you wondered what it would be like to carry all of *this*. Now you're here, taking up your entire sofa, barely able to turn your blubber packed neck, wheezing from just hardly shifting your arms up and down. Amble pockets of stretch marked flab ripple across your arduous form. There's only one question that wracks your mind after you've half-processed your new reality-
"Good morning, larder."
He strolls in, grease stained plain white box wider than his shoulders gripped in both hands. You inhale through your nose, instinctively starting to scoot over to make room for him on the couch before your fluid-logged hip crashes against the arm. The act leaves your already corroded joints sore and your mouth sucking for air like a fish. He makes eye contact with you like a predator does a wounded boar. "Babe," You wheeze, the ensuing *What's going on, etc etc* cut off by a cream filled doughnut shoved past your lips. Your chins press against your throat and jiggle against your collar bone as you chew it in two big bites, taking it down your throat and sucking the white cream filling off his finger. Gulping it down leaves you panting for breath and he cuts off your struggle with a kiss, groping your right blubberous tit. You close your eyes and reach for another doughnut. Maybe you'll be fatter when you wake up...

A disease that's prevalent in women highlights the female sex bias in medicine
In modern-day culture, it’s common to complain about being tired. But for some people, being extremely tired is just one symptom of a disease that’s increased in awareness since the COVID-19 pandemic that can severely impact everyday activities: myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS). Though the condition has existed for a long time, it can often manifest after a COVID infection, especially as an aspect of long COVID, in which symptoms linger for months or even years.
As research has shown, many long COVID patients either have symptoms similar to chronic fatigue syndrome or have been diagnosed with the disease. But just as long COVID remains a complex mystery, so does it’s so-called sister disease, chronic fatigue syndrome. Similarly, it’s a disease that researchers feel hasn’t been taken seriously in the scientific community. Not because it’s new, but because part of its female bias, coupled with its association with extremely debilitating fatigue, which is only one aspect of the condition. Even the term CFS can be misleading.
“The name chronic fatigue syndrome does not reflect people's symptoms as chronic fatigue is not the main feature of this disease, and for anyone to think that it is would diminish people's experiences,” Chris Ponting, a professor at the University of Edinburgh to co-lead of the DecodeME study, which is the largest ME/CFS study in the world, told Salon. “It’s also female dominant, there are five times more people within ME who are female than are male, also more people are more likely to have ME if they're older.”
That means, Ponting elaborated, that the typical ME/CFS patient is an older woman. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), having ME/CFS makes both physical and mental exertion difficult. Symptoms can include extreme fatigue, but also trouble thinking, severe tiredness and an inability to do activities, like shower or cook themselves a meal. There is no cure or treatment, and no official diagnosis process.
“Policymakers in this world are more often going to be younger males who have very little risk for this disease, and are perhaps completely unaware of the devastation that it has wrought across our population and still does through its sort of sister disease, long COVID,” Ponting said. “And without that understanding, without perhaps that personal knowledge, it flies under the radar despite affecting one in 200 people.”
One of the most peculiar aspects of chronic fatigue syndrome is its underlying biological mechanisms. In the world of health, people are frequently told that physical exercise is good. It’s an idea that has pervaded all of society around the world and for good reason. Scientific research has found that regular physical exercise reduces the risk of many types of cancer, heart disease, stroke and diabetes. But for ME/CFS patients, exercise is not usually recommended as a remedy — and can actually be harmful.
“We've been told from birth, if you're feeling out of sorts, go out outside and exercise, and we're told even in our last decades that exercise is good for us,” Ponting said. “But it is absolutely not true for this disease. It is actually reducing people's health, quality of life, and reduces their ability to move.”
As to why that’s the case, Ponting said the answer remains to be discovered, as the biological mechanisms of the disease are not entirely known. What is known, Ponting said, is that a majority of people come down with the disease after an infection. This could indicate that it’s the result of a problem with the immune system. There also appears to be a genetic component to the disease. In the DecodeME study, researchers are focused on studying the DNA of people with ME/CFS because they suspect some differences could reflect the biological causes of the disease.
Dr. Charles Shepherd, a medical advisor to the ME Association in the United Kingdom, was diagnosed with ME/CFS after he contracted chickenpox from a patient.
“I had a pretty nasty dose of chicken pox. All the sort of symptoms of chicken pox went away, but I just continued to feel unwell — not just a bit unwell, but quite unwell,” he told Salon. As a doctor, it was puzzling to him. He had debilitating fatigue that was exacerbated by physical and mental activity. Resting, he said, also didn’t help. He also had post-exertional malaise, which is a worsening of symptoms after minimal activity, which is a hallmark symptom of ME/CFS.
“It took me two years to get a diagnosis because I didn't know what was going wrong,” he said. “I wasn't taught about this illness when I was at medical school, and so again, very common still today, and I did all the all the wrong things from the point of view of management.”
Shepherd has been living with the disease for nearly 40 years. Yet he describes himself as one of the “lucky” ones who has found ways to manage his symptoms.
“The output of the prognosis is not good,” Shepherd said. “Probably only around about five to 10 percent of people make a full and sustained total recovery.”
Ponting said the fact that it occurs after an illness could mean that “the battery of the cell the mitochondrion has gone wrong in some way,” Ponting said. “But the shocking thing for me is that we don't know, and that's why we're doing the research.”
Shepherd has been able to find relief through “pacing,” which is energy and activity management. Currently, treatment usually also includes cognitive behavioral therapy to manage peoples’ symptoms. Graded exercise therapy, Ponting said, used to be recommended as part of the UK’s guidance, but isn’t anymore. The therapy included increasing a person’s level of activity, but it proved to be too harmful to people.
Through Ponting’s study, potential breakthroughs could be on the horizon.
“We'll show or shine a light down onto what exactly should be studied next,” Ponting said. “But what we're not going to do, unfortunately, is discover a drug that will help people manage their disease over the next few years.”

Trope exploration: Man, usually a war veteran, with PTSD drowns his sorrows in alcohol
I was rewatching one of my favourite shows and I was struck by the fact that the main male character had severe Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD)* and yet didn't drink because it seemed like a big trope subversion. This made me wonder about the real world comorbidity** of substance use disorder (SUD) and PTSD, so I could determine if this common association was a reflection of real life or a trope.
PTSD & SUD co-occur at a rate of about 30-55%
(many of these studies are in veterans, source, source, source)
However, this is SUD in general, which means it includes any abuse of a drug, including but not limited to alcohol. The highest rates of PTSD are in cocaine and opiate users. Also, and this is very interesting, the direction of causation is unknown (does the substance or the PTSD come first):
Although PTSD and SUDs appear to be strongly linked, little is known about the nature of their relationship. The most widely held explanation of their frequent co-occurrence is the self-medication hypothesis. This hypothesis is based primarily on clinical observation and posits that traumatized individuals attempt to use substances in order to dampen traumatic memories, or to avoid or “escape” from other painful symptoms of PTSD. A second hypothesis, the high-risk hypothesis, posits that individuals with SUDs, because of high-risk lifestyles, are likely to experience a trauma and are, therefore, more likely than the general population to develop PTSD. Finally, a third hypothesis, known as the susceptibility hypothesis, states that substance use increases an individual's susceptibility to developing PTSD following a trauma. (source)
It was also noted as important that most patients who suffered from PTSD had multiple traumatic events in their lives, beginning in childhood. Also, more men had SUD than women, which holds true in the general population as well.
I think one of the best representations in popular media of PTSD might be The Hunger Games. They have SUD/PTSD Haymitch and the Morphling (opioid abuse) victors, but Katniss and Peeta deal with their experience in other ways, as do the others that we see. Also, it's clear that most of the victors have repeated trauma: Katniss's father dying and nearly starving to death; Peeta's childhood abuse; and Haymitch being forced to have a front row seat to subsequent games.
Conclusion: at most, only about 50% of patients with PTSD abuse a drug of any kind, less of them abuse alcohol. So it would be both interesting and scientifically valid to see more characters with PTSD who are not constantly drinking. Men are more likely to have substance use disorders, so the trope is partially supported.***
*Comorbidity is when two disorders happen in the same person at the same time. There are many conditions that are likely to co-occur, like depression and generalized anxiety disorder or Type 2 diabetes and obesity.
**Symptoms of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, taken from one of the sources above:
The characteristic symptoms of PTSD can be divided into three clusters: avoidant, intrusive, and arousal symptoms. Examples of intrusive symptoms include unwanted thoughts or flashbacks of the event. Avoidant symptoms include, for example, attempts to avoid any thoughts or stimuli that remind one of the event. These symptoms are particularly relevant to this review because substances of abuse are often used by individuals with PTSD in an attempt to avoid or escape memories. Arousal symptoms generally include exaggerated startle reflex, sleep disturbance, and irritability, and are generally associated with hyperactivity of the autonomic nervous system.
***I'm not saying that this trope is bad or that we shouldn't see any people with PTSD resorting to substance abuse in media. Instead, I'm saying that the amount of people with PTSD who use alcohol as a coping mechanism is lower than most people probably think, and it would be interesting to see other representations of PTSD as well. PTSD & SUD are most likely commonly paired together in media because it's an easily visible sign of internal suffering.
Also, varied displays of different disorders are important, in my opinion. We don't want someone thinking they don't have PTSD or that a loved one doesn't have PTSD because they don't also have a problem with alcohol.

NUTRITION JOURNALS: VITAMINS (PT 2/2)
WHAT IS THIAMINE?
- thiamine/thiamin (B1) is required by our bodies to properly use carbohydrates. It also helps maintain proper nerve function, and can be found in foods such as yeast, cereal grains, beans, nuts, and meat. its also used for digestive problems, diabetic nerve pain, heart disease, and other conditions, but there is no good scientific evidence to support these other uses. - thiamine is water-soluble, which means that it dissolves in water and isn’t stored in your body, so you need to consume it on a regular basis. your body can only store around 20 days worth of thiamine at any given time.
WHAT IS RIBOFLAVIN?
- riboflavin (B2) is required for the proper development of the skin, lining of the digestive tract, blood cells, and brain function. it is widely found in both plant and animal based foods, including milk, meat, eggs, nuts, enriched flour, and green vegetables. - B2 is vital for energy metabolism. It’s necessary for metabolizing carbs, protein, and fats into glucose for energy. without riboflavin, carbs, fats, and proteins can’t be digested. - riboflavin greatly affects the formation of other B vitamins, such as niacin and vitamin B6 (pyridoxine). These vitamins are also essential for weight loss. In fact, riboflavin is required to generate the active form of vitamin B6. vitamin B6 enhances weight loss as well. High levels of vitamin B6 have been linked to lower BMI.
WHAT IS NIACIN?
- niacin (B3) is important for general good health because your body uses it to turn food into energy. B3 is also essential for the health of your nervous system, digestive system, and skin. - niacin can be found in red meat, poultry, fish, brown rice, nuts, seeds, legumes, and bananas. many cereals and breads also have niacin added. - although getting plenty of niacin in your diet helps keep energy levels high, niacin doesn't likely relate directly to weight loss. eating a well-balanced diet containing plenty of niacin and other B vitamins as part of a reduced calorie meal plan gives you the best chance at successfully shedding pounds.
WHAT IS PATHOGENIC ACID?
- pathogenic acid (B5) is widely found in both plants and animals including meat, vegetables, cereal grains, legumes, eggs, and milk. it helps the body utilize carbohydrates, proteins, and lipids. It is also important for maintaining healthy skin. - B5 can be used in weight loss to help in breaking down fats and carbohydrates, two main causes of increased weight.
WHAT IS BIOTIN?
- helps your body break down food into energy and supports many parts of your body, including your nervous system, liver, eyes, hair, and skin. you can get it from eating meats, eggs, fish, seeds, nuts, and some vegetables, or by taking a daily supplement. - biotin supplements may help manage symptoms of diabetes. it might help reduce blood sugar levels, total cholesterol, and blood fats in some people with diabetes, but it doesn't have much effect on insulin levels.
WHAT IS FOLATE?
- folate (B9) is important in red blood cell formation and for healthy cell growth and function. it can be found mainly in dark green leafy vegetables, beans, peas and nuts. fruits rich in folate include oranges, lemons, bananas, melons and strawberries. - there is not strong evidence to suggest taking folic acid will help you lose weight, but it is still something your body needs.

I'm surprised I haven't really seen anybody talking about the food sourcing theme in dungeon meshi. Like, the very first thing it made me think about when I started reading the manga was like "oh yeah, this really makes you think about food, where it comes from, the work needed to create enough food for one person, let alone a small group, to eat comfortably and nutritiously. Laios even specifically calls out that 'regular' food is also made using shit and dirt, intentionally grounding it in reality and subtly asking the reader to introspect on the food they eat and where it comes from."
Like, it's fair to say kui has the old "world builder's" spirit, it's easy to extrapolate a whole world when you're willing to both ask "how does x mundane task work?" And being willing to give it as fanciful or grounded an answer as you feel is appropriate, food is the central theme, but that sort of thinking extends to every corner of the lore and world building where you can practically begin to trace back a lot of world elements to these basic questions, like "what would happen if there were people who lived for 500 years, what would happen if you fought a creature with two heads" and I think that's really cool-
But like, that core question "where does the food that sustains you come from" is like such a relevant question that we should all be asking ourselves. I suppose it's just that I think about that often, both when I'm world building, and in modern and historical contexts.
In a lot of ways it's alienation of labor, most USAmericans (to keep it at least slightly contained in scope) don't get to know where any of the food they eat actually comes from. At best, you might buy your own groceries and maybe even be able to google some information as to the conditions at the place this food was grown, maybe you're lucky/resourced enough to grow some of your own food in like a garden. At worst you get your food premade and prepackaged and you're even completely divorced from the preparation aspect.
A major symptom of this is clearly shown in dungeon meshi's opening and especially in kabru shuro and even the canaries: when food is taken for granted, it becomes easy to neglect. The party initially wiped simply because they'd not considered how suicidal it was to press onward while exhausted, Kabru is so dissociated and focused that he shuts out most of his own biological signifiers of hunger, Shuro starves himself, equating food with leisure instead of a vital practice to sustain life and energy, and of course there's mister no desires.
It's no mistake that in all of the above cases, it's seemed to be heavily implied that food is either an after thought, or someone else's responsibility, or a simple logistical concern. Senshi's whole rant (in volume 1!!) about "oh the youths of today just buying prepackaged meat wine and bread" is especially tied in to this main theme of "do you know where your food comes from?" By taking it to the next level and asking "do you know why you're eating what you're eating?"
To take a personal side tangent, I was recently diagnosed as diabetic, and it's completely changed my relationship to food on a pretty fundamental level, but I'd say I'd always had a pretty good and healthy relationship with food (after I stopped having an eating disorder but that's a story for another day) so it was an easy enough adjustment to have to start actually thinking about how much of my diet was carbs and things like that, it just became a matter of considering what I was eating and when and why. I'm still not perfect at it and it's still a learning process but I'm working on it.
Anyways, my main theory as to why I've not seen it being pontificated on is just that in general people really hate being asked "do you know what you're eating?" Around these parts in a general fashion, but like, especially with weaponized starvation going on and very real issues of things like food desserts in America, and the fact that we all have to pay for just about every little meal, I think it's important for leftists to contemplate the political implications of meals.
An army runs on its stomach after all. Rant over
#dungeon meshi#rant#rambling#i mostly just wanted to talk about the whole#“where does the food you eat come from?”#question cause i think people just dont discuss the actual logistics of food#like meat is so crazy it takes so many resources to produce#an meat

i've recently been doing a lot of research into intersex conditions ((to be better knowledgable and supportive of a good friend who is intersex)) and i heard about turner syndrome. and the more research i do, the more i think i might have it ((particularly Mosaic form TS))? i have many of the most common symptoms ((very short stature ((4'9 at 15)), small lower jaw, shield chest, very mild lymphadema, low hairline down the back of the neck, very irregular periods ((i have about 3 or 4 periods a year, ever since starting my period)), high/arched palate, lots of moles, and probably some smaller stuff i forgot abt)) would it be worth it to bring it up to my doctor and get tested? expecially if i don't want to receive feminizing hrt. i don't have any other health issues really, so would that just be stealing testing and/or resources from those that really need it?
Hi anon.
usual disclaimer that we can't give medical advice or diagnose.
It makes sense why you would be curious about turners/mosaic TS after looking into the symptoms and seeing that they seem to line up with some of your experiences. And I think that Turner's is one of the intersex variations that it can be important that if you're suspecting you might have it, to actually try to seek a diagnosis if possible.
This is because there are a lot of other health issues that are associated with Turners that can develop at any time in your life, including heart problems, kidney problems, osteoporosis, scoliosis, and sometimes diabetes. Even if you have Turner's, that wouldn't automatically thing that you would also have these other issues, but it would mean that you would be at higher risk and that you might want to undergo different types of monitoring throughout your life. I don't want to scare you unnecessarily because I know plenty of people with Turner's who don't have other health complications, but it is a significant enough associated risk that I think it can really be worth trying to find out that information about yourself if you have other reasons that you're suspecting Turner's.
You wouldn't be stealing testing or resources away from other people--there isn't a shortage of testing in that way. The main obstacles to getting testing and care for intersex people is more due to discrimination and uneducated doctors, rather than a resource shortage. In terms of getting forced on estrogen, you always have the right to deny treatment that you don't want, and to explore alternative options if there's a reason you need some type of hormones for your bone health.
Of course, it is always, always up to you whether you want to try to seek a diagnosis or not, and you'll be the expert on whether this feels like the right thing to do at this point in your life or not. I just wanted to provide some reassurance that you wouldn't be overstepping, and share some of the reasons why Turner's is an intersex variation where a formal diagnosis might be more important.
Please feel free to reach out again if you have any other questions or need any support--this blog is here for you!
#asks#questioning intersex#turner's syndrome#i hope this makes sense! i don't want to fearmonger or make it seem like you have to go do this urgently#but do want to share why TS in particular might be a variation where a diagnosis is beneficial

About medicine in witchcraft: Health spells, Professional Healers and Unprofessional scammers (And two healing spells from me)
Lately I have been seeing a dangerous amount of medical dangerous videos in our usual witchy spaces (specially in Instagram, since I refuse to use TikTok) and that bring me here in one of my long rants who nobody really cares. But, as a healer with lot of medical background, I have to.
First, for the love of your deity, don’t take these damn vids seriously. I’m not a doctor but I know enough that a huge ton of what they put there is medical misinformation dressed as mystical powers.
I’m not asking you to become a doctor, but at least remember: Physical symptoms are NEVER caused by one single illness, and you HAVE to rule out all the possible physical illness before even consider it a symptom of your superpowers.
Yes, some minor things like a random ear ringing or a random tingle on your hand doesn’t need you to run to ER, but at least THINK about mundane causes to it.
Your ear ring? Are you using headphones a lot? Loud music? You shower and water entered on your ear? You are taking meds? Stress? Your neck is stiff and affecting your inner ear? You are neurodivergent?
Your hand tingle? Is the same hand in what you use your phone 20 hours at day? You sleep over that arm? Your shoulder is stiff? You use a mousse a lot? You practice a sport and the nerves are tired? Did you drink coffee or Red Bulls?
And I’m not even mention REAL illnesses, this is just a bunch of mundane causes! So how you dare to believe in more deeper topics of spiritual stuffs, if you have zero critical thinking in something so mundane and basic as your own body? How you plan to be an efficient witch if you don’t even doubt about these things? How you even dare to talk about your deity if you believe anything as a sign?
An advanced witch bases their path in three big needs:
Need of study (Books or google, spend months or YEARS reading and learning)
Need of critical thinking (Think, think and ask, be curious and compare data, question it)
Need of wise skepticism (Don’t fall into the “The government want me to believe this but I’m smarter” or “Vaccines do harm, people don’t need calcium, there is brick’s dust on ketchup” kind of mindset (Yes, these are things I heard). That’s not skepticism, that’s being a Facebook Boomer Mom. Skepticism is question everything and to always be suspicious, but is neither “don’t believe in anything because I’m so smart that I can see the lies”.
And healers, my beloved healers. As one, I have to say it on the most real way: LEARN SOME MEDICINE. Specially before to do public claiming that can really hurt others.
Why learn medicine? Because as happened once… A lovely lady did a spell to lose weight. She got gastroenteritis and spent a week on the bathroom. She lost weight? Yes. In a dangerous unhealthy way? Yes. She recovers her weight back after go to the doc? Absolutely.
The body is a fine machine, a ton of process, hormones, parts, that you will always ignore and omit.
Another big mistake: “Spell to Boost my Metabolism”. Do you even know what a metabolism is? What it does? Do you even know that it has three main functions of metabolism? (Conversion of the energy to run cellular processes; conversion to building block of proteins, lipids, nucleic acids, and some carbohydrates; and the elimination of metabolic wastes). When you “boost your metabolism”, what you are aiming to do? You even know what your body need of these three…
“Spell to boost my Immune System”… Again, what part? Do you even know that your immune system is “slow” or it is just working against an illness as it should? (Reaction is not the same than an immunodeficiency) Are you aware that your body can be doing great and you will be pushing to get an overactive immune system? (And getting Asthma, Eczema, Hay fever, Food allergy and any other kind of allergy, Lupus, Type 1 Diabetes, Inflammatory bowel disease, Celiac, etc.).
Please, if you use “detox spell” in any way, just stop. Period.
If you are not willing to spend a couple of weeks at least in the damn Wikipedia, or you are in a rush, at least aim big and general, do a classic “Health/Healing spell”, that is focused on that, bring health where is needed. “My body gets healthier. My body gets health where is needed” It can’t go wrong, since you purposely don’t specify where or which part, you just do a “Somewhere I need it, and since I can’t know it, the Cosmos may know it and aid me”. If you need spells to focus a healing in a body part, maybe you need a doc, not a spell…. (Get a doc. If is so simple to not need a doc, then your body will do it without need a spell anyway)
You can also do the same with Physical Strength Spells (again aiming to boost what you don’t know what it needs to be boosted and avoiding to boost something that it DOESN’T NEED IT).
And if you are a Healer who really want to have a 90% of effectiveness on focalized and specialized healing spells, then time to study. You will need to know about hormones, chemicals, physical process, all the systems, nerves, bones, nutrition, meds… And pretty much being able to discuss with you client (to put in a way) about literally all their medical history.
And a gently offer to anyone who actually read all this shit, I give a couple of “simple” ideas for you all:
Regeneration Spell: Just a Healing spell, aimed to “attack” where is needed, but it focusses in a cellular level. General Healing spells usually are so general that include things like disposal of waste, mineral absorption, water absorption, digestion, hair growing, skin growing, muscle develop, and pretty much EVERYTHING that’s happening on your body right now, even including the gut bacteria. A Regeneration Spell will focus in each single cell of your body, from skin to bone, to neurons, to T Cells from your immune system. All. Something that your body do (except with the neurons) but that get slower with the age. This spell focus on restores damaged or missing cells to full function (you can help it to happen better with a good balanced diet, some basic exercise, proper sleep, and trying to reduce stress)
Big warning. BE SPECIFIC “My cells will get regenerated where my body need it to be healthy and in full function” or something like that. Why SO specific if the healing spells are general? Because Cancer.
Yes. Cancer. A cancerous tumor is failed cell of your own body. Our beloved bodies kill around six infected or cancer cells each DAY. Eventually (if you live enough or if your immune system gets weak) one of them will grow your body be on troubles. If you do a regeneration spell without that proper aim, you will also help to any cancer cell to regenerate, hence you can cause you a HUGE DEAL in a future. Will not happen 100% of the cases, many of these tumors can be not cancerous (benign) yet give you problems.
How do the spell? Just as any healing spell. Do your way.
Homeostasis Spell: What’s is homeostasis? Is the condition of optimal functioning for the organism, a state of steady internal physical and chemical conditions maintained by living systems. Is a stable self-regulated process of equilibrium between interdependent elements. In simple words, is the perfect state of full pure health of your body. Is a healing spell without the “but”.
What it affects? ALL in the most basic small internal way. Body temperature, fluid balance, the pH of extracellular fluid, the concentrations of ions, blood sugar, oxygen, hormones, etc. If the body do it properly, then is balanced, in an optimal functioning, hence healing itself without big issues.
This spell helps specially (or BOOST) the body on regulate itself despite the many changes in the environment, diet, or level of activity. In this case, you don’t need to be specific, since homeostasis seek for health naturally. Do your regular healing spell but like “My body reach homeostasis”.
So. Rant and all made, I think is time for me to shut up. See you around, and check if you need drink water, sleep, rest, stretch, food, meds or hygiene!

Okay so magic as something the body sees as a threat/danger to the body...
And this ask may return in varying levels as I refine it and get a better understanding of the subject
What if the body had a low-level immune response to using magic--like it isn't at an autoimmune disorder (yet, possibly)? Would there be a fever to try and purge whatever it is (that the body can't find)? Or would it immediately start escalating to an auto-immune response?
Okay, I love this question. So to answer it, I'm gonna have to 1) explain the immune system and how autoimmune disprders work, and 2) figure out how magic can be physical in a way for the immune system to respond to it.
So first off, your immune system has two main parts: innate (you're born with this) and adaptive (you develop this). Adaptive is the important one here. It deals with B cells, T cells, antibodies, stuff like that. It is specific, regulated, and has a memory. It also has to have tolerance. Tolerance is when these immune cells recognize the self and don't attack. Autoimmune disorders are the failure of this ability. Cells can't distinguish the self from the non-self, so they develop an immune response to your own cells. So to answer the first part, any attack on the self is an autoimmune disorder. There's not really an in-between.
The reason behind autoimmunity is largely unknown and too grand for this tumblr post (it's a lot of genetics stuff, as well as environment), so we're gonna fast foward a bit to what happens when your immune system attacks you. I will note though, that autoimmune disorders are most common in young adult females (probably something to do with hormones at that age, like estrogen).
ANYWAYS, so...what's going to happen is that the immune cells start attacking your cells and killing them. If the beta cells of the pancreas are killed, thats Type 1 Diabetes. If the joints are attacked, that's Rheumatoid Arthritis. There's also Lupus, Scleroderma, Sjögren, etc. I'm not going to get into all of this here, but you get the point: DISEASE.
What are some symptoms related to autoimmune disorders? That's complicated because there are so many and they act on so many types of cells, that the symptoms are specific to each disease. But, I like Systemic Lupus Erthematosus because it has a lot of systemic symptoms due to the body attacking your DNA. These include: a rash on the cheeks (malar rash), arthritis, inflammation of serosal surfaces (like oral mucosa), kidney injury, psychosis, seizures, oral ulcers, and a decrease in cell types (like RBCs and WBCs). This can cause a low grade fever, photosensitivity, fatigue, muscle aches, loss of appetite, inflammation of the heart and lungs, and poor circulation to the fingers and toes.
Now onto the next part: magic autoimmune disorder. So we're going to assume that using magic goes along with having a certain type of cell. We'll call this a magicyte. We can say this cell type is increased in the blood when the user is doing magic stuff.
In our hypothetical, the immune system can no longer recognize magicytes as self and begins to attack and kill these cells. This will probably lead to a decreased ability or even an inability to do magic (like how people with DM1 can't make insulin). We can also say that there may be a low-grade fever due to immune system activation. Remember how I said adaptive immunity is specific? Well, that's good because it probably won't do much else. Lupus is really bad because DNA is attacked, so that fucks with a lot of cells. As long as magicytes are the only targets of this response, the person will probably only lose their ability to do magic. Systemic stuff like fever will probably appear after they attempt to use magic (thus increasing the number of those cells and increasing immune response).
I hope this answered your question, and thanks for the ask :))

You’re Already Doing Your Best: Healin’ Good Pretty Cure and chronic illness
Spoilers for all of Healin’ Good Pretty Cure
Healin’ Good Pretty Cure establishes three things about its main protagonist, Hanadera Nodoka, throughout the first two episodes. The first is her enthusiasm for everything, starting with her new home and continuing to every new experience throughout the show. The second is that she’s eager to help others, running through her new town to help an old woman with a heavy package, or evacuate a park when a monster attacks. The third, encountered after both of these acts, is that she tires easily and is extremely unathletic. In a season about environmentalism and illness, Nodoka is in remission from a years-long infection and doesn’t want anyone to suffer the way she did. While she’s not quite depicted as disabled or chronically ill in the show itself, her arc focuses on recovery from a chronic illness in ways that can be similar to managing one.
Chronic illness is a condition that lasts one year or more, and either requires ongoing medical attention, limits activities of daily living, or both. Often, these illnesses co-occur—the CDC estimates that six in ten adults in the US have a chronic disease (their term), and that four in ten have two or more. A 2018 article by Cother Hajat and Emma Stein estimates that worldwide, one in three people have multiple chronic conditions, though the authors point out the term is imprecise because different countries have different definitions of such conditions. These range from fairly well-known conditions like diabetes and arthritis, to diseases like cancer, to conditions like mast cell disorders that researchers are only now starting to understand. Many require complex care to manage, requiring time-consuming visits to doctors or elaborate combinations of medications. This is on top of the symptoms themselves, as many make you feel constantly tired or cause chronic pain.

Hmm ok hard to say 🤔early 1800s would mean miasmas was still the leading belief around sickness which means that hand washing and hygiene was secondary to "clean air" and scents hence why it was so easy for bacterial things to spread, I could be simple and say some sort of bacterial infection in its dormant period
If I want to be creative I'd say something like an autoimmune disease would be interesting, they're still relatively deadly today but there are a few well known for their slow creeping progression as the body's immune system failed (or turned on itself and started killing itself) leaving people feeling relatively fine at first before issues start arising very aggressively (or just flaring up and having your immune system devastate you out of nowhere, some have reported not knowing having one until they woke up paralyzed one day with no warning and then only having a few days before said paralysis spread to the heart/lungs)
The early 1800s was also a time that diabetes was a very sudden killer with no treatment it was definitely a decent death sentence and around 20% of people nowadays don't even know they have it despite testing being a thing (with no testing or treatment or statistics for diabetes in the early 19th century all we really know is that it existed and would suddenly kill people within weeks of symptoms) so it could be said Marcel had early stage type 2 diabetes perhaps
I can't think of a super notable plague or epidemic of any sorts that'd feel like it during the early 1800s off the top of my head, the bubonic plague did its third wave during the mid - late 1800s and the first cholera outbreak started like a year after Marcel died iirc. The only outbreaks I can think of would perhaps be typhus which ravaged french soldiers and was brought back home with them during 1812 and yellow fever which had tons of outbreaks all throughout the 1800s. Typhus can take ~2 weeks to show symptoms with yellow fever usually only taking a few days and both had rather standard flu/cold symptoms of feeling run down and feverish so I'd say both are a bit harder to pin if he didn't feel sick at all
But uh yeah those would be my main ideas/guesses I suppose? I am no expert tho just someone a bit too interested in diseases lmao

It's a quit a long post so in sorry for that and I'm not a native English speaker so please pardon my mistakes......
Hey girl , I have a question and it's not related to aff tapes but I want to ask you this question to know your opinion and hope you give me a solution and guide me on this ..... So
To be very honest i manifest so many things in my life ,
I even shift one time ,
Enter in void state also by doing psych k method i think after 2 and half day ,
Even get results by practising living in the present moment ,
Even I get results from your free tapes.
I'm telling you to know I get results and not telling lie and things that i manifest , good friends to good grades to pass in exams or even allow to sit in exams even after not going clg entire year 😅 and for all this I have all my desires so smoothly even just my laptop have internet when whole hostel don't have and so many more fun things and all......
As for live in the present moment - In my check up I diagnosed diabetic but through live in the present moment I heal myself and when I do next day check up I'm completely healthy...
As for your tape come on girl ... There are so many , don't know where to start 🤣🤣🤣 ....anyways so many things
But my main problem is whenever I tell , share my success stories to anyone it stops happening 😭😭😭 I don't believe in it before but i shift and I tell a friend about it till now I don't shift , it's like 2 yrs now ....
Tell my void success story even just as an anon but still after that I didn't enter in void ....
After telling your aff tape success story I start having more doubts or even sometimes I can't even listen to your tape because people district me or start talking to me and want me to answer them but i prefer to listen to it calmly and be alone , all the symptoms i feel suddenly gone .....
After sharing my present moment success story I don't see any results till now .... Not even with the psych method....
At first i just thought that I don't do it properly or maybe I tell my success story to someone who is a negative person and can't understand all of this law and all so it's effect my process because I'm not perfect in it ( it's a wrong and limiting belief ) ...So i decided if i want to tell someone my success story or tell someone my journey I'll just tell it to people who is like me ... So in the community..... But even after telling people like me ( who believe in loa , manifestation and all ) I still get stuck ..... And I tell my success stories to people who help me and to help others but what now ...... Today i suddenly see all things .......
So what should I do to overcome ...😭😭😭
Thank you for taking your time to read ..... I'm sorry again...
I saw some people on here and twitter having the same issue lmao 😭😭
It's just you are making yourself stuck due to your self-concept you keep putting yourself in a maze and confusion due to your self-concept and it's not about my tape at all BUT I AM GLAD MY TAPES MADE YOU COME HERE AND ASK FOR A SOLUTION 😭!!! BECAUSE YOU KNOW NOW THERE IS A WEIRD THING HAPPENING AND THIS IS one of the benefits in the tape your subconscious mind literally lets you know what is the issue and the assumptions you have to change that's why some people experienced some negativity while listening to the tapes NOT EVERYONE THEY ARE LITERALLY 3 PEOPLE GUYS!!
Anyways let's get deeper into this!
So look you got that belief from someone as if it's like if you say your goals or your success stories they can be jinxed and whatever this is
THE FEELING YOU ARE DEALING WITH HERE IS "FEAR" YOU ARE JUST SCARED OF IT and it's okay your feelings are valid but jinxing isn't even real because nobody is real 😭😭 because THE REALITY ITSELF ISN'T REAL SO YOU ARE LITERALLY SAFE
How to solve this?
Affirm
"I am safe"
"I am comfortable"
"I am safe saying my success stories to everyone"
"I am comfortable saying my success stories to everyone"
Also congrats on your success stories with my tapes hehehe 🤭🫶🏻 I know you will have more after this

Wearing a mask has several benefits. It can keep you from inhaling any respiratory hazards, such as particles of dust or smoke, poor air quality, and germs. Masks can also protect others and reduce the spread of infections if you have an illness.
Research has found that wearing masks, along with social distancing, has significantly curbed the spread of SARS-CoV-2—the virus that causes COVID-19.2 KN95 and N95 respirators have been shown to offer strong protection.
1. Keeps You From Spreading Germs Masks can help prevent you from spreading germs if you're already ill. Wearing a mask decreases the likelihood that you will exhale and spread germs into the surrounding air.
2. Prevents You From Getting Sick Infectious diseases can spread from exposure to droplets containing germs that cause diseases. Masks protect you from inhaling droplets when people around you breathe, cough, sneeze, or talk.1
A 2022 study showed that one person wearing a mask is partially protected from infectious droplet exposure from others with SARS-CoV-2. One-way masking is better than not using a mask—in other words, one person wearing a mask is better than no one wearing a mask.
3. Protects People With a Weak Immune System Masks protect people who have a weak immune system. They reduce or prevent exposure to germs that can make you very sick if you are immunocompromised. This means you have an immune system that does not work properly.
Immune system dysfunction may occur due to:
Chronic diseases, such as diabetes or cancer Conditions like HIV Therapies that suppress the immune system, such as radiation therapy
4. Reduces Exposure to Allergens Wearing a mask could decrease allergen exposure, especially if you have pollen allergies. A mask that covers your mouth and nose helps filter out pollen or irritants. Masks also change the moisture and temperature level of the air you breathe in, further reducing allergy symptoms.
5. Shields You From Poor Air Quality Wearing a mask can protect your respiratory system and general health when there is poor air quality because of pollutants.8 Categories of poor air quality range from moderate to hazardous on the Air Quality Index (AQI).
The AQI measures levels of the following pollutants with Clean Air Act regulations:
Carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, and sulfur dioxide: Gases from motor vehicles and industrial processes Ground-level ozone: Gas from the atmosphere referred to as smog when it reaches the ground Particle pollution: Particles made of sulfate, nitrate, carbon, and mineral dust chemicals Who Should Wear a Mask? All healthy children and adults should wear a mask when necessary. Talk to a healthcare provider to determine if and when to wear a mask if you are sick or at risk of getting very sick.
The following people should not or may not be able to wear a mask:
Children under the age of 2 People who cannot remove a mask or put one on without help People who have trouble breathing Those with certain disabilities who have trouble wearing masks (e.g., people who are sensitive to having something on their face) Choosing the Right Mask An effective mask will fit well: It won't be too tight or loose. It will also have high filtration of particles and droplets, measured by a percentage. High filtration means the mask does a good job of protecting you from those particles and droplets.
The most effective masks are ones approved by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). NIOSH-approved masks (or respirators) are tight-fitting and have higher filtration rates—usually greater than 95%. These masks also are best at protecting you and others when worn correctly.
The next best option is international filtering respirators such as KN95s. They offer at least 80% filtration and are also tight-fitting. Other masks—including barrier face coverings, disposable masks, and cloth masks—can have variable filtration and fit. While not as effective as N95s or KN95s, disposable masks can be easy to find, comfortable to wear, and better than cloth masks or no mask at all.
Other Considerations Follow this guidance to ensure proper mask wear:
Check the mask for any damage, and use a new one if there are any defects like holes or broken pieces. Choose a mask with multiple layers and, preferably, a nose wire to get a good fit on your face. Make sure your mask covers your mouth and nose once in place. It should also fit comfortably, but snugly, on your face. Wash your hands before putting on your face mask. You can wear a cloth mask on top of a disposable mask or a mask brace over disposable or cloth masks. You can also knot and tuck three-ply mask ear loops.
A Quick Review Masks have been used to protect against COVID and other infectious illnesses. Wearing them has other benefits. Masks may keep your allergy symptoms from getting worse, or they can keep you from pollutant exposure.
NIOSH-approved masks are the most effective, though other masks may be helpful, too, depending on the type of mask. Not everyone can wear a mask, but you should wear one that has a snug, comfortable fit if you can and when necessary.

My mother's being so irritating.
She has Symptoms™, so I [& one of my brothers later] were like "It may not be this but literally all of these are signs of diabetes" & she's like "Nooo I don't want diabetes". Then she complains about how she doesn't feel well & "Needs to go to the doctor" & we're all "Then go to the doctor" & she's like "Noooo I need someone to take me cause they won't give you medicine if you drive yourself" [both my brothers said that's not true, idk though] & so I was like "Well go to the doctor, have them find out what's wrong, & maybe they'll give you medicine, maybe they'll do what you think but at least you'll know & you can make an appointment to come back for the meds or ask if you can get a prescription to get at the pharmacy" ANS SHE REJECTED THAT TOO !!!!
Like dawg how do you expect us to care about your health when you whine & whine about how you NEED to sew a doctor [which is true !!!!] but constantly reject you know.... Going to the fucking doctor.....
[Also I'm not a doctor so again it may not be diabetes, but her main symptoms that make me think of it are: left leg is fully numb, worse bladder issues [they've never been great but it's gotten noticeably worse], & pitting edema or basically you can press on the skin w/ your hand & it leaves a dent. The latter thing can be a bad sign for a lot of things [& it's a newer thing btw***], but still. Even if she's not diabetic she's got something going on that needs addressing].
And I get it, going to the doctor is scary. The fear that you may find out something bad is scary !!! But it'll only get worse [& thus when you finally go to the doctor you'll hear what you feared] if you don't go ASAP. [Plus the fear that you'll be dismissed like is also real]
I think about it often maybe if my aunt had gone to the doctor a lot sooner if she wouldn't have died.
It's just annoying how she gets mad at us for "not caring about her health" but dawg YOU don't care about your health. When we try to care you ignore us......

Unveiling Vascular Ulcers: A Guide to Causes, Symptoms, and Solutions
Chronic wounds like vascular ulcers can be a significant health concern, especially for individuals with poor circulation. These slow-healing sores are more than just a skin problem—they signify deeper vascular issues that require medical attention. At Surat Diabetic Foot & Ulcer Clinic, we aim to provide patients with the knowledge and care they need to address and prevent these ulcers.
This article explores what vascular ulcers are, their warning signs, and effective ways to treat and manage them, empowering readers to make informed decisions about their health.
The Basics of Vascular Ulcers
Vascular ulcers are chronic wounds that develop due to poor blood flow in veins or arteries. They often occur on the lower legs and feet, with their severity varying based on the underlying vascular condition. Two main types of vascular ulcers exist:
Venous ulcers: Caused by damaged vein valves that lead to blood pooling in the legs.
Arterial ulcers: Result from restricted blood flow in arteries due to blockages or narrowing.
At Surat Diabetic Foot & Ulcer Clinic, we specialise in identifying and treating these ulcers with a patient-centric approach, offering personalised care for long-term healing.
How Vascular Ulcers Affect Daily Life
Living with a vascular ulcer can significantly impact physical and emotional well-being. Common challenges include:
Pain and discomfort: Particularly with arterial ulcers, which can throb even at rest.
Restricted mobility: Swelling and pain can limit movement, reducing overall activity.
Prolonged healing times: Without proper care, these ulcers can take weeks or months to heal.
A delay in seeking vascular ulcer treatment can lead to complications such as infections, tissue loss, or even amputation. Recognising these impacts is the first step toward effective management.
Spotting the Signs of Vascular Ulcers
Early detection of vascular ulcers can make a significant difference in recovery. Warning signs include:
Discoloured skin around the wound (red, brown, or purplish hues).
Visible swelling in the legs, particularly in venous ulcers.
Non-healing sores that may ooze or scab repeatedly.
Cold, pale skin in arterial ulcers is due to reduced blood flow.
If you notice any of these signs, consult a vascular specialist for ulcers. Seeking expert help early on ensures the best possible outcomes.
Addressing the Root Causes
The development of vascular ulcers often stems from:
Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI): Damaged veins that hinder proper blood flow, leading to pressure buildup and skin breakdown.
Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD): Reduced arterial blood flow due to blockages or narrowing of vessels.
Diabetes: A common contributor, as elevated blood sugar damages blood vessels and delays healing.
A thorough evaluation by specialists like those at the Surat Diabetic Foot & Ulcer Clinic helps pinpoint the exact cause, enabling tailored treatments.
Modern Approaches to Treatment
Effective vascular ulcer care combines medical expertise with advanced technologies. Treatment options include:
Wound management: Regular cleaning, debridement (removal of dead tissue), and application of appropriate dressings.
Compression therapy: Used in venous ulcers to improve blood circulation and reduce swelling.
Medication: Antibiotics for infections or medications to improve blood flow.
Surgical interventions: For severe cases, procedures like bypass surgery or vein repair may be necessary.
At Surat Diabetic Foot & Ulcer Clinic, our focus is on holistic vascular leg ulcer treatment in Surat, offering patients cutting-edge solutions for optimal recovery.
Proactive Measures for Prevention
Preventing vascular ulcers is often easier than treating them. Steps to reduce risk include:
Maintaining healthy circulation: Regular exercise, avoiding prolonged sitting, and elevating the legs can help.
Managing chronic conditions: Controlling diabetes and high blood pressure reduces the likelihood of ulcers.
Wearing compression stockings: These improve venous circulation, particularly in individuals prone to venous ulcers.
Preventive care is a cornerstone of our approach at the Surat Diabetic Foot & Ulcer Clinic, where we educate patients on maintaining vascular health.

Round Two
Sniper
"LORD THIS IS SUPER SPECIFIC LMAO. OK FOR THOSE NOT IN THE TF2 COMMUNITY:
Sniper has a secondary weapon called Jarate, which. Im not sugar-coating it. Its piss in a jar. Sniper has the bladder of a god and can refill a jar of piss in 20 seconds. I dont need to tell you that its not normal for that to happen. If I do, please consult your doctor.
Sniper develops this… superpower by taking Saxton Hale Jarate Pills, which supposedly tripled the size of his kidneys (and caused massive organ failure, which he supposedly cant feel because of the hale brand painkillers). Now, something super important to note: Saxton Hale is a fraud GASP. Its a well known fact that Hale's products are horrible, bottom of the barrel, sad excuses for products. He sells rocket launchers that can't even kill a man on direct hit.
NOW, I CAN ADDRESS THE NON-TF2 AND TF2 COMMUNITY AS EQUALS:
IF SAXTON SELLS SUCH SHIT PRODUCTS, WHY WOULD THE JARATE PILLS ACTUALLY WORK, AND WHY WOULD THE PAINKILLERS WORK?? HALE PROBABLY THINKS PEE IS STORED IN THE BALLS THIS MAN HAS 0 CLUE HOW ANATOMY WORKS.
Now, here's where the headcanon, dare i say FACT comes in: the biggest symptom of diabetes is lots and lots of piss. Other symptoms include abdomonal pain, which sniper can mistake as organ failure. Now why would Sniper never progress far enough to die of diabetes if he thinks its the pills?
Simple! Medic's medigun is a device that can restore cut off limbs, bullet holes, and my proposal: restore blood sugar to its normal levels. Medic probably knows but just keeps forgetting to tell him / thinks its funnier he doesnt know, and schedules regular medigun appointments to make sure Sniper doesnt die of what diabetes was once known as- pissing disease.
But behold! The piss rabbit hole deepens! Im 1800 characters deep talking about my piss headcanons why the fuck not right?? After the teams disband, Medic (finally) tells Sniper he has diabetes. He learns to manage it, leading up to the events of the comics- where sniper has access to needles. NEEDLES!!! THE SAME KIND I BASICALLY HAVE, A DIABETIC. We even KNOW Sniper has no reasonable reason for them- he has no poison (he injects them with moonshine), and while he IS a mercenary who enjoys his job (snipin's a good job mate), you can argue he'd want to keep his personal life and work life very separate, weaponry and poisons included. Sniper had the needles to administer insulin, especially since we know its just the needles, no poison or extra materials nearby. He literally says its his PARENTS house, why the hell would he bring weapons over that would bother them?
To summarize, Sniper has a lot pointing to either massively humongous kidneys, or diabetes. He shows classic symptoms, had access to 'treatment' without knowing it, and later shows up with needles at his disposal in an environment where he really shouldn't have needles. Ur honor, i rest my 3000 character long piss case."
"just show the jarate thanks. sorry for saying piss so much i absolutely know you didnt think you'd be reading piss headcanons but i genuinely love the idea that sniper has diabetes, as a diabetic myself. It just comes with the side effect that the main reason i headcanon it is entirely around fucking piss. I hope life is kind to you stranger :)"
