Rivalry is the only way to court a Hatake.

Being rivals with a Hatake means you are courting them.

Kakashi : *waiting for Gai, for almost over 20 years (!), to finally give him any fucking gifts that he could accept, signifying they would now be mates*

Gai : ETERNAL RIVAL !!! :D

This is my first request so it's very special to me. I don't really write or read fics with pregnancy, but I tried my best (─‿‿─)♡ I'm also trying to write a little fic about it rn!!

Husband!Madara was very happy when he found out that you were pregnant. He could barely believe that he was going to be a father and finally have the family he dreamed of.

Husband!Madara tried to find out all the information he could about pregnancies, so that he could assist you in any way you needed.

Husband!Madara got annoyed anyway when you would get mood swings. He knew that it was a normal symptom, but it still annoyed him. He would send others to get you some chamomile tea to calm you down.

Husband!Madara would find your weird cravings amusing, but try to talk you out of them unless they were somewhat normal. He wouldn't let you eat sand, no matter how crunchy it looked, but would try to get you some ice to chew instead.

Husband!Madara would fry whatever food you wanted. The first time tasted so incredibly good, so you kept asking for more.

Husband!Madara started seasoning the fried food with spicier peppers as your requests got weirder to discourage you from wanting more. Eventually, it got so spicy you started crying when you took a bite and he felt bad. So he stopped putting extra chilli, but at that point you were too scared of fried foods to ask for more.

Jealousy Scale for the Konoha Founders!

Madara, 7/10

He isn’t a jealous person usually.

Butttt he isn’t a fool either.

He has trust issues and has seen the fallout of marriages when there’s infidelity between the two people.

When he notices you paying attention to someone else (Tobirama if you wanna hurt him) instead of getting angry, he gets upset and isolates himself even more from the village.

Hashirama would become the only person he trusts as Tobirama has taken EVERYONE away from him.

If you correct him and claim its a misunderstanding, you have a long road ahead to gaining his trust back. Don’t expect it to be easy.

Hashirama, 3.5/10

He’s a very trusting individual, if he loves you, he trusts you!

It makes potential misunderstandings even harder to commit when he’s so open about his feelings.

When you pick someone else to have lunch with, he goes into a depressive state and you have to comfort him (he just wants you to pay attention to him again tehe)

All this doesn’t mean that he never gets jealous, its just he’s smarter than he looks and acts like and knows how to get your attention back to him easily.

He’ll shove important duties onto Tobirama if he wants to spend time with you.

He won’t let you go that easily ❤️

Tobirama, 8.5/10

Veryyyy emotionally repressed and is away a lot for missions and duties. What a terrible recipe!

He does get jealous, if he notices you hanging around someone else then he’s getting moody, annoyed and suspicious.

He starts noting down where you go and who you hang out with.

He also starts being rude to you and basically insinuates that you’re a cheating slut even if you aren’t 💀.

He knows you’re not cheating as he knows your chakra signature and follows it💀 but his feelings are still hurt and he will let you know.

Mod: Madara is the type to extend his hand like a puppy to his s/o whenever they go anywhere together. You're getting up to show him something? He will stand there like his hand extended in a peace treaty and would pout so bad when you walk ahead, forgetting about that. Will be dramatic enough to stand still, frowning and exhaling like a dragon until you walk ahead and notice that he's not there. When you turn back he'd raise a brow and still keep his hand extended. You chuckle and run to him, holding his hand and then and ONLY THEN, Madara relents and walks with you. "If someone knew you were so touch starved, the Uchiha clan head's reputation would be soiled." "Don't care about weaklings and their opinions. Could hold your hand and still crush anyone I want."

Garden

The Senju have a tradition of a courtship garden.

Well... It's called a "tradition" but that's actually just to hide the fact that it's something their bloodline compels them to do.

When they feel strong affection towards someone, they feel the urge to nurture and grow plants on their behalf. This doesn't actually have to be romantic affection. Expecting mothers are some of the Senju's most prolific gardeners.

Hashirama continues to maintain plants for all of his brothers.

He's also the first person to realize that Tobirama's in love. Granted, it's hard to miss the abundance of flora that have suddenly sprung up around Tobirama's home. He doesn't even seem to realize it himself.

The main flowers are:

Tansy: resilience, a fresh start

Red Amaryllis: pride, splendid beauty, determination, worth beyond beauty

Red Carnation: love, passion, admiration, courage

Red Snapdragon: love, passion, deviousness, grace

Purple Orchid: respect, dignity, confidence, peace and forgiveness

Meanwhile, the Uchiha value something made with one's hands. Something that shows your understanding of the person in question. For example, one could write a song to represent them or paint a mural of a memory you share together. I'd say more, but I really think my ideas for Uchiha courtship should get it's own post.

Either way, it's not like Tobirama is giving Izuna the flowers (yet). He just finds himself compelled to tend to the garden after every time they interact. Surely there's no correlation.

given the infinite tsukuyomi works by reflecting a genjutsu onto the moon via rinne-sharingan, which spreads its effects to those outside the range of the castor, one can say the moon has an amplifying effect on dojutsus, specifically the rinnegan/sharingan. so for uchiha who’ve awakened their sharingan? you could tangle them together more and say the moon enhances the strength of their eyes

if a full moon means don't fuck with the uchihas, then when there’s no moon? kitty cat transformation time >:3

it would probably be a pretty normal affair in the clan since most everyone awakens it, such is the life of a shinobi etc etc

(if there’s a civilian portion of the clan, the intersection of the two would be so fun. the swordsmith visiting their clan head’s house to drop off some fish bc the heir got their sharingan this month and in the frenzy of it all the amount of food that’s safe for cats got low)

((on that note, foodstuff cats can’t eat would only apply when they’re in cat form but i’m sure they have in-clan superstitions about how it should be avoided as humans as well but. there are differing levels of compliance to that))

anyways. cat uchihas in the clan compound = absolutely normal sight amoung themselves. nothing new. cat uchihas OUTSIDE the clan compound on a new moon. well then.

team minato on a weeklong mission and one night when obikaka are rooming together kakashi wakes up in a cold sweat bc obito suddenly smells like cat. taking getting along like cats and dogs to a whole new level w them lol

itachi n fugaku being grumpy/hissy/fussy asshole cats for various reasons (i’d pin itachi as being sensitive to the sensation changes meanwhile fugaku just wants to be unbothered. he knows his wife is terrorizing the clan kids who haven’t awoken their sharingan and he supports her, he’s just enjoying the one night of the month he doesn’t have to live up to any expectations by himself)

madara tries to be a dignified cat but he bristles when offended/startled (often n easily) and is LOUD izuna is that black cat which is just eyes in a Shape. somehow always there where u never expect him. watching. sometimes messing around w kagami. also loud but affectionate in the annoying way n he does it on purpose <3

hikaku is impossible to spot n looks like the normal one but he gets roped into whatever silly things kagami and izuna like to do on occasion. no one who doesn't know him suspects his involvement

man. now i'm thinking abt tobirama w his big cat summons and how people adjusted to this in early konoha.

it's probably not something they advertised, given that it's a possible point of exploitation, but would totally be brushed off as "it's just a thing we do," when people ask or turned onto others like "you don't transform w the moon?? weak."

Imagine.

Orochimaru ressurects the four hokage during the fourth shinobi war. Hashirama does his whole speech, they get told what’s happening out there, the usual. Suddenly, Tobirama stops silently fighting for control as he’s been doing since he felt the connection to the pure lands shut closed.

“If Madara is behind this war…” everyone can see the mental calculations in his eyes, “where did you steal my Edo Tensei Technique from?”

Orochimaru raises an eyebrow. “A laboratory in the northern mountains. The barrier seals were a work of art, a masterpiece of its own.”

“Did you discover any of my other labs?”

“Other?”

The Second Hokage nods continuously, deep into thought.

“Um, Tobirama?” Hashirama asks sternly. “I know that look on your face, what did you do?” Sasuke notes it’s a tone of voice he can vaguely recall Itachi using on him in their youth — an older brother absolutely done with his younger sibling’s antics.

“I… might have an idea. Wait a moment,” and with that, he teleports out of the room.

The non-Kage stare at the empty spot the Second was standing in a moment ago. Minato lights up.

“Oh, wow, I’ve always wondered how it originally looked,” Hashirama turns around and looks at him, so the Fourth explains, “I improved and mastered it. It was sort of my signature?” He adds a bit sheepishly. Hashirama gives him a smile.

“I’m glad Tobirama’s work is getting continued, then. He was always a great inventor, he just sometimes didn’t know when to stop.” He pointedly side eyes Orochimaru, who ignores it.

Then, Tobirama snaps back into the room. He’s holding a vial of a red liquid. The snake sannin looks very attentive.

“Okay, don’t be mad,” he starts, looking at Hashirama (who quickly rebutts “How do you expect me not to get mad if you start off like this?!”), “but I have an idea on how to throw Madara off, if not stop him in his tracks altogether.”

“What is that?”/“Who is that?” Minato and Orochimaru ask at the same time.

“Uchiha Izuna’s blood.”

Sakura just found out that Naruto and Sasuke have never watched Disney movies before. She puts on Tarzan, then immediately realizes her mistake when his parents are murdered right off the bat. Naruto is crying because his parents are dead. Sasuke is uncomfortable because his parents are dead. Sakura is freaking out because she can't think of any movies with two alive parents.

Sakura is road rage lol. "Are you fucking kidding me? There were FOUR signs saying that lane was going to end, asshole!" The rest of team seven is hanging on for dear life as she slams the gas and flips off the other driver when she passes.

After being forced into therapy as part of his plea deal, Sasuke was encouraged to keep a feelings journal. Yeah, yeah, okay, whatever. Every night, he plops down at his desk, takes out his black notebook, picks up the frilly pink pen Sakura left at his house a few months ago, and scribbles down different aspects of his day. The ink is pink and glittery, a sharp contrast to his dark and brooding personality, but he can't find it in himself to use any other writing utensil.

Kakashi is a simple man. When technology started to boom, he was with it for all of ten seconds before he was overwhelmed. He has a computer in front of him and three nerds around him trying to coax him through email, but all he's thinking about is the good ol' days of paper and ink.

Shikamaru is the hidden leaf village's secret weapon. He's proved time and time again that no one even comes close to his mental prowess... but that doesn't mean he isn't human. On more than a few occasions, he's spent an embarrassing amount of time using the wrong key to unlock doors. He misspells and forgets words often. He generally lacks common sense because he overthinks things so hard. A side effect of your brain always being at 100, is that it struggles with 1-99.

Hashirama dared Madara to eat a weed once and Tobirama took that as a challenge. Mysterious plants, strange animals, random shit he finds in the woods or at the market- you name it and Tobirama is daring Madara to eat it. "Guess you aren't brave enough-" doesn't even finish his sentence before the Uchiha has completely consumed it and licked his fingers clean.

HOLY SHIT 4 AM THOUGH-

Do you guys think the Inuzukas and Hatake have dog vision ? Like can't see some colours like dogs ?

Or that the Uchiha, since they're are pretty damn close to crows and raven, their black hair is actually rainbow but we can't see it because our eyes see less colours ? (Crows/raven's feathers looks oily because they aren't black but actually reflect a lot of colours, we just can't see it)

Only an Uchiha can see an other Uchiha colourful hair (or someone with a Sharingan (or a Bakyugan, or a Rinnagan, or any dojutsu-), just imagine kakashi's possible reaction once he see an Uchiha without using the Sharingan but just the eye- X3 (maybe obito gave him eyes that can see colours like an Uchiha... He'll be in for a surprise once he see Sasuke lol))

I'm pretty sure that's one of the many reasons why they consider themselves better than the Hyuugas (and the Hyuugas are mad and jealous because they can see the colours too, why did their hair have to be a plain and boring black ?!)

It's also why That why they wear black and/or dark colours (or light colour in Sasuke's case a one point-) ! It's to show off their hair !

The Uchihas are fucking hair peacocks.

Ps : they can see their colourful hair because of their eyes, if a Uchiha can see the colours, they could get the Sharingan. For the Hyuugas it's also dojutsu bullshit. It would be fun if Orochimaru could also see the colours... Some snake reptile bullshit or something-

Wait wait omg- Obito wear orange tinted goggles. Orange like those glasses that that give colourblind people the ability to see all colours. What if obito is colourblind and can't see his colours until Madara gave him a Rinnagan ? Omg.

For him strength is quite the turn on. He sees you kicking someones ass or taking someone down and that's the moment he's down bad. Madara is attracted to you immediately.

Bonus points if you can banter with him too THAT really gets him hooked. Strong AND can hold your own against him with your quick wit?

Be still his beating heart. Probably says that out loud.

Chases you from the moment he sees you if it's village timeline. If it's pre village he's internally suffering over the "enemy" he's longing for into the late evenings.

You might be on opposing sides but his nights are filled with your interactions.

He's tossing and turning constantly.

Those interactions run through his head and he's tormented by the fact you'll never be his but still he longs for you. He craves you. He has to have you~

The interactions the two of you have are heated.

Fights where the two of you battle for dominance, cutting each other with honeyed words in a cloud of lust.

It was hard to tell if he was fighting you or flirting with you. Injuries were had but none dyer or ever resulting in serious consequences.

Then came the day you forced him onto his back, weapon kicked away and arms pined beside his head. Both of you panting. The tension palpable.

The way you to stared at each other, pupils dilated—it couldn't be seen as disdain or hate but something else.

That's when the two of you kissed.

You weren't really sure who leant in first. The two of you met in the middle. Both of you wanting this from the beginning.

Your lips sweet on his. He couldn't help but wanting more as he pushed, pushed, pushed further into the—oh his hands were in your hair now—when did your hands release him?

The two of you together are a couple of insatiable gremlins. He's just as affectionate although he does attempt to keep it in check in public.

The second his jealousy is kicked into gear though or his possessiveness kicks in so does his physical affection.

If you are in anyway the same it only spurs him on too.

You kiss him in public? He's smirking like a show for the around onlookers after.

It's to say 'Yeah this is my s/o.'

Always pushing into your touch the second you're reaching for him.

Take his chin in your hand and pull his face (tug that bitch) toward you. Make him wait (he's not patient but make him be it's fun) and gently brush you lips against his to keep him wanting.

It's a good way to make him melt and rile him up.

There's also the gentle moments. The absent minded touches. The two of you always seem to have a hand on each other. Resting on a thigh, the small of the back, head resting on a shoulder.

Physical affection in private can be a little more playful. Just bite his shoulder and he'll not even think twice about it. 'May I help you?' or 'And what do I owe this pleasure?' Yes, biting his shoulder amuses him, ergo pleasure lmao.

Kind of gets an ego boost seeing all the different sides of you.

TOBIRAMA SENJU

Honestly? Tobirama NEEDS someone who can kick his ass. Whether that be verbally or physically it doesn't matter as long as you call him out on his shit.

The fact you are on the same physical level as him as a shinobi is just a bonus (and he won't admit it in a hundred years but he's turned on~)

You've got to play it smart with the affection and not come on too fast too soon. Honestly, in general with all things with Tobirama you can't come on too fast.

He's like a gentle current, flowing steadily along the stream until suddenly he's a powerful waterfall crashing down (yeah that's him falling for you–steadily then all at once)

At first the affection is going to be a point of discomfort for him.

One, because he's not used to it and two, he's not sure why he keeps thinking about it. The feel of your touch, wondering about the meaning behind it.

It makes him so frustrated because you've become a distraction and somewhat a fixation for him–pulling him from important priorities.

it's not long before he pushes that logic aside though.

He starts longing for more of your touch, expecting it and seeking it out. More and more. It's all he can think about.

Those small touches of affection are things that get him through the day and the warmth he begins to crave.

He tolerates them now.

Tobirama runs cold and by nature seeks out warmth. Finds his hands soothed when yours envelop his. The same when your hand finds his cheek. It takes everything not to press into it. Sometimes he lets himself (just a little) and mostly when he's exhausted.

Craves physical affection.

Touch starved.

Will almost never seek out your touch so you intiating physical affection is the perfect balance.

Just kind of leans into your hold whenever you reach out. Like a magnet to your warmth. Whole body presses against you when he's exhausted, that's your cue to pull him close and gently stroke your fingertips up and down his back.

Put each hand on his cheeks and stroke them. When he relaxes thats the time to catch him off guard (not really he's always on guard but he's more relaxed) and pull him in and kiss him. Long drawn out kisses that leave him longing.

These moment give him a little more energy. They allow you to see those rare small smiles.

Tobirama also really values your opinion on things regarding shinobi life and village life in general.

Will ask your input on things and involve you on village matters (sometimes just to spend more time with you) other times simply because its important to him.

Post policy discussion make outs at home once you come to a conclusion of how to strengthen the village. Holding him tight and kissing him hard.

Tobirama is very into you in these moments.

It may take a little time for Tobirama to adjust to the affection but it is something he grows to not only love but take comfort in. He appreciates your strength and affection in equal parts.

family headcanons! really leaning onto Hatake side

Thinking about how out of all the kids Motoko who is the most Uchiha looking, Uchiha jutsu, future clan head, acts A LOT like Hatake. She'd devour a steak with blood, as a kid she'd bite everyone.

Many people thought that she gets it from Madara, cuz he looks like he's fucked up in the head ( i mean they are correct but he didn't bite ppl and doesn't like blood and raw meat in his food). But no, it's actually Hatake blood from Tobirama.

Nari would be quite the Hatake too cuz she'd be like "I need to challenge every single authority to make sure they have the right to boss me around"

Akemori, even if he looks the most Hatake, he has more Senju temper and behaviour. But he did bite, cuz that's how they do that in the family. But actually if you let any child to bite without consequences and even encouraging it, they would.

Tobirama would be "ah the normal child behaviour". He'd gently bite all of his kids and ofc Madara too. He's a mate now after all.

Sometimes Tobirama even playfights his pups. For Uchiha it'd quite a culture shock, cuz they got used to ethereal, calm and graceful clan head's spouse. To see him goofing around with his kids and throwing them in the dirt and sometimes biting them. Who does that?!

Madara is perfectly okay with that, even though he had to get used to a child regularly nibbling his arms or neck. Izuna, unexpectedly, took it well. He'd bite his nephew and nieces out of spite, cuz how DARE they.

Also Nari looks a lot like Tobirama and Izuna's daughter. Plus when she grows up she'd also wear a ponytail. Madara is torn cuz he loves his brother very much, but also it's HIS daughter.

also idk if Izuna would marry and have his own kids. he's too busy suspecting Tobirama and spoiling his nieces and nephew.

Oh, I forgot to talk about their senses! All the kids are quite good sensors, cuz, Tobirama is one, Madara too, so it's only logical. In the future Uchiha would actually possess a nice line of sensors in the main branch.

So from best to worst: Tobirama. Akemori, Nari, Madara, Motoko.

Motoko isn't the best sensor, but she inherited Hatake's nose! She hates spicy food bc of it and actually bland food. It's her very not-Uchiha trait, that made her a nightmare to feed when she was a child. Uchiha like their food really seasoned*.

Motoko's fav food is steak with blood and sashimi.

** interesting thought occured to me, Senju probably grow many plants, food and spices as well. It was probably a tradition that came around when not only Hashirama was the Mokuton wilder but many in the clan. I believe it was hard to keep Mokuton babies alive bc or the violent nature of it. Imagine how actually happier Uchiha became when they could buy spices SO much cheaper than to import it from somewhere else. Plus of course it's much more cheaper to buy food from close by Senju and then in the village. One of the reasons not to be against peace :)

Ofc the minute Tobirama's aunt - the Hatake clan head - hears that he has his own pup, she'd get the whole clan to go to Konoha for a visit!

Uchiha, and other clans are terrified. Hatake don't have a nice reputation and now the whole clan wants to visit??? With kids (which they're very possessive and protective) and huge wolves??? And the Hokage lets them cuz the clan head is his aunt???? No wonder Senju are so weird sometimes.

While the Hatake visit, every clan prays that it's just a visit and that they would leave (lmao no). Not only cuz they're freaky, but also of their continuous reputation of adopting any stray children.

Clans clam up and don't let their kids out of their sight.

Uchiha are especially fucked cuz the Hatake plan to visit them especially. Fucking "thank you", Tobirama, what the fuck.

And Tobirama is entirely calm about it. He treats like the usual thing ever. So when good portion of the clan goes through gates, they just SWARM Tobirama and little Motoko (she's probably a year old at this point), scenting them and trying to take a good look at the baby. Ofc they bear gifts. Meat, furs, weaponry. Maybe even wolf pup for the baby!

Though maybe at first the clan head didn't really want to acknowledge Motoko (like with Hashirama*), cuz she has really Uchiha coloring and face, so she's not really a Hatake. But Motoko started her little growls and yips and anxiously biting Tobirama cuz of many new people and smells and Tobirama's aunt was like "Oh, okay, she's one of us"

** I like the idea of Hatake clan head, who doesn't really think Hashirama is a Hatake and he's heartbroken by it. But, I think it's not because of the coloring or how he acts. I think it's mostly cuz she HATES Butsuma and when they meet for the first time Hashirama was really hero worshipping his father and it ticked Hatake off. So she probably never actually try to connect with Hashirama again cuz she's still sure that Hashirama is the same as Butsuma.

Maybe Butsuma took her sister as a bride in a marriage hunt and Hatake were pissed, but accepted it, cuz Senju are much stronger and have more ppl. If they'd angered Senju they'd be destroyed.

Because of it, Tobirama never actually considered to make Madara his husband this way. Plus I think for this to work the way he wanted (to infiltrate Uchiha) he needed to be the one who marries in the clan and if he'd try to do that with Madara it would work the other way around.
