I've seen people post their versions of their player character from Pokémon Reborn and decided to join in! I haven't finished it yet, but I wanted to show off Mar anyways. I made little changes to differ them from Decibel, if it wasn't obvious lol

Mar tends to not emote not that, if at all. They were pretty sheltered as a child, so they lack social skills. This makes them not bother with any type of conversation. Why should they when they don't know how?

But, that isn't to say they don't care. They prefer action over words. So, they'll perform acts of service to those they care genuinely about.

Eventually, they start emoting being around their friends/rivals, but their expressions are still rather subdued.

The earring is only in the right ear and was a gift from a friend in their old town/city.

Wow you guys really seemed to like the steampunk AU, that post got way more attention than I was expecting, so here's some more information and stuff:

-The world is still like a videogame that they got trapped in but now it’s a steampunk adventure-y type game with circus elements 

-The adventures are probably a bit different

-They’re probably more like, fantasy adventure video game style things with like puzzles and fighting? Idk I'm not a big gamer I've never actually played any steampunk video games. What are those like?

-Instead of circus tent, there is a big wagon thingy that I'll draw eventually

-there's still not much of a story and I'm not sure If there'll ever be

-I'd also kinda want to make some mini comics for this au but I suck at coming up with ideas :/

Pomni:  

-She likes to craft things

-friends with Gangle and Ragatha

-still very anxious but less anxious then normal Pomni?

-has a very logical mind and is good at puzzling things together but also doesn’t do well under pressure and typically panics in stressful moments where these skills might be useful

-She can play the flute because flutes are good, they are the best instrument. (I am totally not biased just because I play the flute in marching band)

-My headcanon for regular Pomni is that she’s less anxious than she initially is in the pilot after getting used to things, like, beyond the anxiety, her actual personality is very cheery and friendly, also very logical, because idk it just fits her somehow? So yea, that headcanon also applies to this au 

-but of course she is still an absolute nervous wreck because yes

-How else is she supposed to react in this situation

-also look at those fingerless gloves I want those

-the gears in her eyes turn when she is thinking

Gangle:

-Also likes crafting things

-friends with Pomni, Zooble, and Kinger

-she often borrows  sewing needles from Ragatha to sew her comedy mask back together when it’s torn, and also constantly tries to craft new ones

-She really likes her boots

-I don’t blame her those are some nice boots

-Ok wait a minute what if that little wing bow thingy on her head is actually a pen/quill that she can use to write stuff?

-ooooooh yes I like that

Caine:

-He can control the time of day with the clock that’s on his hat

-It’s a lot harder for him to heal injuries in this world, he can’t just instantly fix anything anymore it requires a bit more effort

Kinger:

-ok but what if he had a collection of mechanical insects? Omg designing mechanical insects would be so fun-

-like, she’s very kind and caring but also sorta tough and even though her body is good at falling apart, she knows how to use strategy to fight and um wait what would they even be fighting-

-idk I haven’t thought about that yet

-overall she is very, “tries to help everyone else and seems very tough on the outside but is prone to falling apart both physically and mentally but just gets good at quickly patching it up and ignoring it until it become too much for her to bear”

my thoughts on the first throne of glass book

so i finally started reading throne of glass two days ago and i just finished it and i rlly loved the first one! i didn’t start with assassin’s blade because i’m following the reading order sjm herself suggested. but i figured i’d give my thoughts on the book just for funsies. this isn’t like a review really just what i’m feeling abt the series thus far.

for quality i’d give it a 6/10 but for how much fun i had reading i give it a 9/10 and i care WAYYYY more about entertainment personally lmao. so overall i’d probably give it like an 8/10.

• why are there so many exclamation points

• so i’m gonna be honest i’m beyond confused about celaena’s name. bc everything i’ve ever seen about tog talked about some chick called aelin. now i’m just kind of assuming they’re the same person somehow but i have no idea what’s going on in that regard

• it was an enjoyable read but you can def kinda tell it was written when sjm was younger lol. but i know the writing is just going to continue to get better so it didn’t bother me THAT much, though i must say i’m anxious to get to the later books for that reason

• this book was FUNNYYYY omfg dorian and especially celaena had me laughing out loud at times. i hope the books stay this funny

• I LOVE CELAENA SM. like that’s my girl fr fr. thus far feyre is still my fav sjm fmc but honestly celaena has potential to change my mind

• i also love dorian and chaol and i’m not gonna lie i lowkey ship her with both of them (which is a rarity for me usually i’m very passionate about one or the other in a love triangle). but that may be because i’m aware i should not get attached to either ship LMAO

• speaking of chaol i spent half the book pronouncing his name as chowl in my head which made him very hard to take seriously. but honestly i feel like that is 100% sjm’s fault bc the fuck you mean chaol is pronounced kale!? how was i supposed to know that

• i’m curious when more magic elements are gonna show up. like i thought this was another fae series am i wrong there? i mean elena was fae so. maybe i just need patience (but i’m gonna be sad asf if some sort of fae plot twist erases my bffs dorian, chaol, and nehemia from the story)

• okay but seriously once again what is up with the exclamation points. why are they so many. like it was genuinely jarring in the first few chapters. idk if it faded later in the book or if i just got used to it but it genuinely bothered me for a while. pls tell me this isn’t a thing in the later books bc i don’t remember it being an issue in acotar

• i think challenges and shit in books are so fun so i loved that the whole book was centered around it, lowkey wish we saw more of the challenges tbh

• that freak monster that cain was summoning is the stuff of nightmares. i already forgot what it was called but i made the grave error of googling fanart of it and it was actually terrifying

anyways that’s all i can rlly think of for now but i’m excited to keep reading! i’m super curious about celaena’s past because i can tell there’s sooo much we don’t know yet, but assassin’s blade (which i believe is at least partially her past? but maybe i’m wrong) isn’t until after crown of midnight so i’ll just have to keep wondering lol. but i’m very excited for crown of midnight i feel like shit is about to get very messy with her being the champion

I think you are the only one person who could care about my Ravinstill's family headcanon 😂 So the president has a younger brother who married the sister of dr Gaul as his first wife, but then she died (without children) and he remarried the actual mom of Felix (she is much younger and in my mind president Ravinstill is old and that's why Felix has a so much older uncle). Also this explain how president Ravinstill knows dr Gaul so well (I lowkey ship them okay? 😂 Not in a "good" way but the vibes are there).

Well, in the book Felix is Pres. Ravinstill's grandnephew so they are also separated by another generation to explain the age gap (Pres. Ravinstill's brother is Felix's grandfather in book canon), but this is a small detail!

I actually think that Pres. R's brother being attached to Gaul's family though marriage is so interesting! I'd always imagined her as an only child. Do you have any thoughts on her relationship to her sister? Does the Gaul family feel weird about the remarriage (as some families might)? And Gaul and Pres. R meeting partially through Pres. R's brother and Gaul's sister would be interesting to explore! I always have Gaul kind of holding a grudge against Pres. R's brother, but it could be different in your headcanons! Does she have a particular dynamic with him in your head?

Shipping Pres. R and Gaul is so valid to me! We know so little about him, but what we do know is her word goes a long way with him and she somehow influenced him to institute the Hunger Games. There's an implied closeness there!

I am... uh in a weird position where I don't exactly ship them, but they're so intertwined in my mind. They might as well be married, they've definitely fucked, but in my headcanons, Pres. Ravinstill is also gay? My brain creates very hard to explain dynamics lol.

And about my headcanon, thank you! although I'm unsure of it being them adopting him in actuality, and more Max adopting him, Gaul being there, and somehow that making them both absentee parents... Coriolanus is metaphorically Felix's brother in this btw... they're all giving each other so many issues. Okaaay....this is just my headcanon but but but here's a thread on each Batfam member's sexual orientation (some of them might be unpopular opinion but it's my opinion so...)

- Bruce Wayne is bi, he might have been bi-curious at one point if he is not 🥹 playboy, charming, flirtatious and rich, he's everyone's dream. And I don't think the Bat himself is in denial of his sexuality, in fact, though lowkey, he might just be casually talking about his flings to Alfred if he didn't consider feelings a scary thing.

- Please forgive me for saying this but Dick Grayson feels like a straight guy who's very comfortable with his sexuality that he doesn't mind the gay jokes and he himself would make non-homophobic queer jokes towards his friends (regardless of their sexuality).

- Jason Todd is either bi or straight, because of that Judd Winick interview and because he's giving major bi friend vibes (trust me I'm bi), who leans towards dating girls but he might have been too jaded or fearful of commitment to be in a relationship so he's still single til this day. But he might also be similar to Dick, he might be a straight guy who is constantly attracting queer friends and is ok with that. Maybe he just has a smart mouth and wants to tease or provoke other guys to the point that it seemed queer as a hetero man, like how guys irl do? I dunno, but he could either be bi or straight, he gives off both vibes to me honestly lol. I can’t decide on this one.

- Tim Drake, similar to canon storylines, bisexual, need I say more? Though I'd like to see them build Tim and Bernard more cuz Bernard is a bit too similar to Steph now, and Tim and Kon also have a very interesting dynamic so I am very conflicted. I like the fact that even though they've broken up, him and Steph are still friends. I really appreciate healthy relationships like that (i...if of course you look past the fact that he might have wanted to unalive her dad).

- Stephanie Brown feels like she could be pansexual, she's chill and she doesn't mind being in a relationship with someone of the same gender, of the opposite gender or genderfluids or trans. But to get the most accurate impression of her, I will spend my time reading Batgirls. For now, her vibes scream pansexuality to me.

- Damian Wayne is straight, but he is just not into relationships. Though I also like his dynamic with Jon, I can't see them as more than friends (but you're welcome to ship them, it's actually a cute ship but bc they're literally children so I just can't see anything more than platonic). I know the Asexual Damian trope is also very popular but to me, he seems like a straight guy who, like Jason, is not into relationships due to the nature of his worklife.

- Barbara Gordon feels like she could be straight or bi, that's up to intereptation, but for the most part to me, she seems to be straight, I mean she loves a guy named Dick so...and her interactions with BoP members seem very platonic to me. But other headcanons are also cool, please enlighten me.

- Duke Thomas is straight, he's like that one YA romance novel live action main character, an awkward teenager except he's a metahuman and also a vigilante. Yes, he's sassy and funny and nice, I know, but his vibe doesn't scream queer to me.

- Cassandra Cain is bisexual because of her interactions with Tim and Steph in the comics. She's the quiet bisexual friend/lover that everyone is comfortable with. And I love, love that about her. Yes, Cass seems to be the downright not heterosexual, hell, she might have been more into girls than guys.

- Kate Kane is 100% a lesbian, this is not a headcanon. She's so gay that nothing about her is straight, not even her name.

- Ok, weird one but I think Alfred Pennyworth might also be bisexual, he could have banged the queen as an agent in his younger years then started dating the prince a year later. Or he could be demisexual, who knows, maybe he loved someone when he was younger, then something happened and he can't find himself being in another relationship with anyone else, and also younger Bruce only had him so he didn't have time for dating.

Edit: my take on Cassandra Cain before anyone comes at me with their extremist anti batcest bs again (and unless you're here for Bruce and Damian as a couple, I don't even think batcest is a word that should exist) and here. I think the moment Meliodas finally kills Dale is a real turning point in the series. Before this, he had not killed a single opponent. He just fought to disarm and incapacitate. Just the next episode, he tells ban and gowther to "go straight for the kill" against the holy knights. As we see throughout the rest of the series, even before his emotions get caught in purgatory, he no longer feels hesitant to kill. He only becomes more and more like himself from the time of the Holy War (post 10 commandments). This is why I love his character sm, a corruption arc (even if he is never truly evil) is just so rare and one this good and angst filled is even rarer.

A random headcannon: You're getting several. I have too many.

Cain has a few tattoos and when Anna and Noel first saw them it took him like. Two weeks to convince them that they really were permanent and Actually In His Skin and that he wasn't drawing them on every morning lmaooo

As for what the tattoos are, I imagine he has a small Jolteon on his ribcage on his side because it's his favorite eeveeloution and also the person he was dating at the time had a Jolteon. He was 16 and an unsupervised teenager, be nice >:( He will lie about the origins of this one tho he'll tell people that it's of Arc's jolteon and it was a best friends tattoo lmaoo. It also was his first tattoo!

He also has a purely aesthetic one on the top of his left forearm that's of a purple eye crying like, blobby space goop tears. It looks cool and is ourple. Next Question.

He has some random stick-and-poke flowers and other small designs on his shoulders that he got from friends and other random impulse nights.

His favorite and the biggest one is on the outside of his right calf and goes from ankle to knee. It's also the most personal one to him. It's a burned apple tree with various symbols formed in the patterns of the wood grain on the tree of things important to him. Some of them being the trans symbol, the posion type symbol and a flying bird (representing freedom) The overall meaning of it is based off the saying "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree" and is symbolizing him doing what he can to fall as far away from his "tree" (family) as he can, doing what he can to break that cycle of abuse and not become like his parents.

He also has a few piercings!! He's got multiple ear piercings throughout his ears, an eyebrow piercing and a tounge piercing.

Kind of related to what I said about his last tattoo, it hit me one day that despite how innuendo-filled his talk can be, Cain is one of the few characters who never swears, even cleary going out of his way to use more tame language. I hc that when he was younger and still lived at home, (i hc that he ran away from home when he was like 15 and just struggled throuhg life best he could until he was able to collect himself) he did swear and yell a lot because. It seems like yelling and loud arguments and cussing people out was kind of the norm, but once he got away and was able to get to a point in his life where it wasn't jsut Survival Mode doing what he could to keep going forwards, he kind of took a step back and realized that he could distance himself from being like his mother by not swearing and yelling all the time like she did. I don't exactly have the best words to describe it but that's like. the basic idea of it.

General Opinion over said character: Absolute love. Blorbo of all time. Such a skrinkly i've rotated him almost nonstop in my brain since i first met him, literally Such A Character. But also more seriously, I do also realte to him on a pretty personal level, with his anxiety about how he doesn't have a clear plan for himself and feeling alienated from his peers because of it how he's never really had grand plans for himself or known what he's wanted to do, like. I'm literally the EXACT same boat there so that part especially of his character, it just HITS. I also think A LOT about his dynamic with Aya, and just the whole thing of how they very clearly have hurt eachother A LOT unintentionally just tying to survive their own home, and that idea of yeah they both fucked up to different degrees, but how do you Not fuck something up in a situation like that and then them working on healing and trying to become siblings again and i just- FFFUCK its Good. and i haven't finished the maingame yet (though im working on victory road so im close!!!) so it's still a lot of just speculation for me, but GOD i just. Them. Dude, I could write literal essays about the LaRue siblings. But Cain has easily become one of my top blorbos ever and probably will for a long long time, like this funky little purple guy just holds such a special place in my heart and makes me so happy and, just, yeah <3 <3 <3 <3

I’ve tallied the votes for both polls and reblogged them with the results and some commentary but I thought it’d be nice to gather them in one post, plus some extra thoughts from me below the cut.

Potential love interests for Dean:

Cassie (77). Also correct. A few of you pointed out that Dean should have gone to her in season six instead of Lisa and are you wrong?

Crowley (3). Just as with Dean’s list, he’d be very insulted by placing so low.

Hannah (3). Hannah got three votes, two specifying in a male vessel and one just specifying “trans”.

Kelly (3). Makes sense, as she is the mother of his child and they have a friendly relationship. Also makes sense this didn’t get more votes since they have no chemistry and she is a republican.

Okay so what jumped out to me immediately was “no one” topping Cas’ list (it placed pretty high on Dean’s list but Benny, Cassie and Victor still beat that option handily). 

A lot of people straight up did not like the thought of Cas with someone else (very Dean coded of them) but a lot of others just couldn’t picture it. Which I think can be attributed to none of Cas’ relationships with others being all that developed on the show, besides with Jack which is obviously not romantic. Tbh there aren’t a lot of deeply developed relationships on Supernatural that don’t include Sam or Dean (and lbr, mostly Dean).

People were also explaining their choices a lot more in the Cas poll. Idk what that means but I just thought it was interesting. There also wasn’t a consensus on Cas’ sexuality; while Meg and other female characters got votes a lot of other voters said they see him as gay and can’t picture him with a woman.

Most delightfully surprising result: Cassie taking second place! Honestly, it’s what she deserves. And Victor in third! The taste! 

Most expected result: Benny winning the Dean poll in a landslide.

Most surprising low placement: Balthazar only getting six votes in Cas’ poll. I thought this ship was more popular but that’s probably my bias speaking since I happen to like it.

Funniest vote: Those three of you who wanna shoot your shot with Dean/Cas. Go for it, I’m rooting for you!
