Don't forget that you can always draw your ocs and favorite characters in fun outfits that you think they would wear. you can and should do this

#duck speaks #it's very fun to do and like. think about what types of clothes they'd like to wear #and the things they'd pick out at a store with all sorts of clothes to choose from #it can be a way to get to know the character better also I think #especially for ocs. it's like a way to develop their character #what sort of clothes do they typically wear ? what textures and colors do they like in clothes ?#are they comfortable showing skin with their outfits ? do they get cold or hot easily ? what type of climate do they live in ?#is there a type of outfit they wish they could wear but are too scared/don't have the means or money to ?#do they normally dress more casual or more formal ? what would a formal or casual outfit be for them ?#what do they wear in the summer ? what about in the winter ?#what are their pajamas like ?#do they dress in fashion from a specific era ? what era are they from also ?#do they dress more feminine or more masculine ? a mix of both ?#do they wear the same/similar outfits over and over ? is there something they always wear no matter what outfit they have on ?#do they care a lot about their appearance and how other people see them ? how does that effect their outfits ?#lots of things to think about #also you should draw them in outfits for mee #I love outfits and I love to see them #you don't have to make them up from the top of your head even. you can have an idea for what you want and look it up for reference #I do this a lot #I'll go in pinterest and search up like. 70s fashion or 2010s teen fashion or something #and look around to get a better idea of what I'm going for #pinterest is nice because you can click on a image you like and it'll have similar ones under that :]

'im gonna destroy you in this game son. every time until you learn not to lose so badly #but you will still lose. <3'#house gensa forever house rustazh foreverrr #klingonaase my darling i love you you're sooo latin coded #i really liked the singing and the idea of like gestures vaguely house gensa being three hundred kids with no formal houses or lines #to belong to. <- and so you will all be together. yayy new family!#i also liked the acknowledgment of like. other cultures existing on klinzhai (qo'nos) vulcans and orions living with klingons and such #this book really had it all im not done posting. theres more songs and looks at their food; daily life; clothing and how they decorate #houses. more examples of klingonaase lol of course cuss words and such. they also talk about battle language which if i'm not mistaken is #like clipped tlhIngan?#but they call it battle language and translate it for the reader. fun!#and of course the klingons end up on earth so theres insights on how they feel about coffee and human food. apparently the air on earth is #very thin and dry to them; every scene where they talk about klingon comfort standards they mention making it dark and humid and hot.#red lights and such! for inside #and they say the thin air on earth makes it hard to hear for klingons! i thought that was very cool #nobody:#me: they like salt water baths and dark ale and they wear silk and they eat pastries with butter. if you even care.#they mention human chair designs being uncomfortable for klingon anatomy too; there was a description i remember of house khemara #having cushions on the ground around a fireplace instead of chairs #its such a pretty description too; they have high ceilings and wooden beams along the roof and and sky lights for an indoor garden #iron railings for the staircases. mwah i love this book i really recommend it #theres something (gestures) here that reminds me very strongly of worf but i cant put my finger on it to be honest with you. not even like #the komerex zha specifically either like the vibes of the whole book.....

#rip to ameri likers but it looks like a cheap Halloween costume #if that’s what’s they were going for then good job??#I like the swirls in her hair so I put them everywhere #made her clothes more formal because school council president + high class family #not a fan of the orange and pink but I wanted to keep the og colors #also accentuated the cat theme with the boots and the tail-like hair swirl #plus monster high-inspired heels #ok I put too many details in the boots to the point where it got a little ugly #but I flipping love what I did with the heels #so I’ll call this done for now and if I ever have a better idea I’ll come back to it #ameri azazel #mairuma #redesign #procreate

Some fanart of Darceus Alamastern from @toothpastecanyon ‘s Unto Dust fic!

The mane is fun to draw, so I just hc that it started growing after taking in her nieces (because female lions can grow manes!)

Please don’t count the number of tails on the big drawing, I did the lineart at 1 in the morning, and misinterpreted my sketch.

The markings on the nieces are a little funky, but they’re supposed to be silver foxes. I’m also stupidly proud of the tiny doodle.

Ok! So, I made a post awhile back talking about how I have folders of costume design for characters and if anyone wants to see anything in particular to let me know, and someone asked for any outfits that I'm particularly proud of that I've made for my fics!

I've really been looking forward to this so, I'm gonna show off a few of my favourites in terms of pure design here! These were the ones that were the most fun to design in my opinion, aka, Nooshy's interview outfit and Porsha's new casual clothes!

*Reminder that all of my stuff for fics is placed in the human au so the clothes fit into that too*

Nooshy's Interview Outfit:

So one of my favourite headcanons of Nooshy is that she loves bright colours and contrasting patterns and will dress deliberately very mismatched. This causes her clothes to be pretty memorable a lot of the time, even when she's just wearing borrowed clothes from her brother or friends. However, her interview outfit is a time where I really let this shine.

Ok so:

The main attention draw of Nooshy's outfit is a very shiny silver jacket with fringe that matches silver boots that they wear as well.

As for her shirt, it looks like just a purple button up but is actually iridescent fabric, so it looks more magenta-ish in certain lighting and with movement.

The only seemingly plain things of the outfit are black shorts and a plain black choker but the rest of her accessories are neon green and magenta, including their earrings, bracelets, and they changed her laces to be neon green too.

I really like this one because I think it shows Nooshy's very out there and bold personality as well as being one of the most unique, in terms of style, outfits I've ever made.

Porsha's New Casual Clothes:

So Porsha's original outfit was very much like her dad's in terms of color scheme and I really wanted to make an outfit that was a bit more colourful like her personality was. I kept a bit of designer clothes in there but I really wanted it to showcase the fact that I headcanon her to be living with Buster and Eddie now, so she's probably not going to be decked head to toe in it anymore.

Ok so:

I am a firm believer in giving these kids jewelry so Porsha is decked out in a gold anklet, chokers, and moon earrings (to honour her connection to Moon Theatre now).

The same is with her sunglasses, I switched the from something very crystal-like to a sun and moon design to show her affiliation with New Moon Theatre.

I wanted to add a jean jacket like she had before but made it much simpler with just a yellow stripe instead of the fancy sleeves of before. The yellow also represents cheerfulness and I wanted to keep that running as a good descriptor of Porsha's character.

The jeans are just plain white because of the tons of detail elsewhere on the outfit, like the desert on the shirt representing Redshore and the stars on her shoes alluding to her role in Out Of This World.

I like this version of Porsha's outfit as it's a lot more colourful yet still more toned down than her original. I think this would be a good way of showing her leaving a life of luxury and showing the importance the show and troupe have come to have for her.
