being tired is morally neutral. needing rest is morally neutral. taking care of yourself is a completely neutral if not good act. fatigue is human and so is sleep. you were put on this earth to honk mimimi.

dislike how many mental health posts on here are just "you've never done anything wrong in your life ever and they were evil for that"

well, this is it. It's official now.
The US is openly punishing Brazil for the crime of upholding our democracy. In front of the whole world to see.
Read this and never forget Brazil is not the first and it will not be the last. Remember the Monroe Doctrine and Operation Condor. This is just an overt display of imperialist interference in Latin America's internal politics. But they've been at it for over a century.

I am struggling to put my thoughts into words. I don't know how to focus lately on anything while so many people are starving to death in Gaza.
I am finding myself texting my family members and my friends and my local community organizing networks apologizing for disappearing, for failing to respond to messages, for forgetting to check in. I was laid off from my job a while ago, and have not received a single interview. How can I justify writing cover letters when I could be writing fundraisers? But how can I not when my wife needs me to find a source of income so that we can pay rent.
When I write about Palestine, it is the only thing that feels important in my life. But then I fear that people do not read it, and I fear they stop reading as soon as they realize I am talking about Palestine. What can I write so that you will feel my (imperfect, flawed) humanity through them, and not let go when I ask you to hold the humanity of the people of Gaza too?
Many hands make light work, but there needs to be a hell of a lot more hands here. It's heavy right now, but the more people do something, the easier it becomes for every single person trying to act. Please do not fear the weight of this. We need you.

also, a quick reminder to anyone living in areas currently affected by these heatwaves - i know we all are somewhat aware that antidepressants can affect your heat tolerance, but did you know that testosterone can affect your body temperature too?
testosterone levels can affect your thermoregulation by changing how your metabolism works, and when coupled with any form of thermal disregulation from other medications, and binding, this can be a perfect storm for heat stroke and heat exhaustion! make sure youre hydrating, keeping up your electrolytes, and taking breaks during this summer - heat stroke is no joking matter, and is a serious health hazard! be safe, not sorry!
