I think we moved on too quickly from Bruce Trying To Work From Home During Lockdown because it’s always funny and I was not in this fandom at the time.

My favorite version of this is Tim and Bruce being an a WE teams meeting. The oddest thing happening on Tim’s screen is some truly questionable art work by Bart on the wall behind him.

Whereas, Bruce has the general Wayne Manor disaster happening all around him. There’s yelling and fighting. Dick did a flip out the window. There’s a cow. The usual.

Bruce is also a disaster in the way you expect Brucie Wayne to be, until Alfred the Cat runs across his keyboard and he genuinely can’t figure out how to fix what happened. Bruce’s screen is upside down. There’s a filter now. He doesn’t know how to change it.

Everybody is just watching him flounder until a hand comes into the screen and nudges Bruce out of the way, and suddenly Tim is fixing the problem.

Which is weird because Tim is still in his screen.

HIII RIMI 🥹 Um. It’s a 551 chapter long webnovel. actually i’m just gonna link this post because im kind of massively bad at explaining it. it’s like. what if you were just some guy* who was the only reader of this very long kinda shitty webnovel, and as you read the last chapter the supernatural apocalyptic events in the novel start to happen in real life. and also, crucially, the protagonist of the novel time loops after his death, and when the reverse isekai happens, it’s ostensibly his third time loop. this is the basic premise. the thing about orv is it’s kind of difficult to explain why i love it without massive spoilers. but essentially it’s about the bond between the reader and the protagonist and the writer. it’s about loving a story it’s about stories being people and people being stories it’s three layers of narratives wrapped in a trenchcoat that is also a narrative. it has really fascinating worldbuilding that is all about the narrative/thematic purpose of things. it has a plot that just keeps escalating in stakes and never gets boring and i literally could not put it down. it has the worlds most unreliable narrator (and some really fun/devastating stuff with pov changes. it’s the omniscient reader’s viewpoint:]). it has incredible characters (and incredible women 👍 i started orv because my friend pitched jung heewon to me… it has women who wield the sword of judgement and are the king of no killing’s executioner. it has girls who meet their future self, forced into being a catastrophic harbinger of destruction. it has girls who had to kill their best friends to survive. it has women who say i guess i’ll just have to be the villain again and who do things for the people they love that are absolutely devastating to think about both selfish and incredibly selfless). it has incredible relationships between characters. it’s about there being an incommunicable wall separating you from other people but it’s still worth writing on the wall:). by the ending it has recontextualized the beginning so thoroughly you cannot be normal about it ever again. It’s good 👍

Look. I loved LOVED lucifer series in general and I absolutely onboard with s6 deckerstar daughter and time travels cause I adore both this tropes, but the way it was handled....... that was unnecessary cruel and poor. I love good time loop ouroboros terminator style written tragedies that you can't avoid to happen, but that didn't make sense in lucifer. First of all RORY HAD WINGS ALL HER LIFE. If she was so angry at Lucifer and wanted revenge/answers so bad that she literally involuntary time traveled to get it, why couldn't she JUST FLY TO HELL AND CONFRONT HER DAD AT ANY POINT OF CHLOE'S LIFETIME? Makes no sense she didn't try to find him in her own timeline at least once, he's not hard to find, he's not hiding, Lucifer is literally in the first place you would go look for him - in HELL. No need to time travel for that, girl.

More than that, if they couldn't stop the time loop, they def could STAGE all her acts in it in order to have a good life together and still keep the story happening. Like, Lucifer would work part-time in hell (like Ame in heaven) an spend half of the time with his family on earth, and tell Rory what happened in s6 and what she did, so Rory would KNOW about her future and learn to control her powers sooner with her dad's help. Then when it's time Rory could time traveled back and simply ACT angry, so her parents would believe the story she told, how she never knew her father and how he just vanished and all of that (that is not true anymore or never ever was true at all). Yes, all of this is a little messed up, but it is still more logical and satisfying than the fact that Rory basically ruined her parents' and her own happy life on earth together for her character development arc, that she wouldn't need at the first place if she didn't do it.

i kinda wish there was a way to gift away digitally purchased games when i'm done with them. i have a handful of games on steam that are one and done experiences, or are games i just didn't like much, and i'm not gonna play them anymore.

like, i'd gladly give away my license to use the game to someone else, like a friend of mine, if i could. You can let people borrow physical copies of games, so why not digitals?
