idk if anyone is still here or cares but hi!!!! its been so very long since I have been active. i still think very fondly of my blogs and every interaction i have had with anyone surrounding Marissa Meyers amazing books.

but! i wanted to pop in and talk about this GORGEOUS special edition that FINALLY came in the mail. I bought and received the Heartless Litjoy special edition. (im just uploading the stock image bc me taking a shaky pic in the evening will NOT do it justice)

and was wondering if anyone else got it?? wanted to talk about it??

its still one of my favorite books that ignited the love of reading in lil 16 year old me. wild that time has passed so much. im now a full grown adult that still loves to read. Thanks Marissa for giving that love of reading to me :) ❤️

This is soooooo stupid to complain about because LitJoy didn’t even have to send everyone new Six of Crows dust jackets but they did (and honestly major props to them for taking the initiative and doing this). But I just got my new dust jackets and they cutouts don’t line up with the foiling on the hardcover. They are off by about a quarter of an inch. So in order for me to compensate and have the cutouts only showing the foil, I have to shift the dust jackets and cause the spines to be more aligned right than centered. And in the grand scheme of things, is that so life shatteringly awful? No, and I’m displaying them with the sprayed edges side out anyway.

But also… like these cost a pretty penny, right? And I notice these things and they bother me. Even if it’s not showing, I’d know what was wrong. But I don’t want to be ungrateful either, you know? Because they didn’t have to do a reissue of the dust jackets.

I guess I need to know if I’m being a people pleasing pushover if I don’t say anything or if I’m being a needy brat if I do say something.

This comment is not an isolated incident. You often see comments like this in the comment sections of special edition book boxes, but I'm also in a few book groups on WhatsApp and you have people there too who think like that. How can somw people be so eww?

My most sought-after special edition that I own is the folk of the air set from litjoy. Honey with a kiss I hope everyone who what this set will get it, that litjoy will do a reprint.

I can't stand people like that at all. But then they are happy if there is a reprint of a book (/series) which they didn't get in the first run. 😒

Yeah sweety, actually you shouldn't have gotten this reprint of a book you didn't get first try looking at ypur principle or does it only apply to books YOU already have that you don't want a reprint of?

These are either people who then resell the books at overpriced prices or simply can't stand other people having nice things too.

I need to have a word with resellers that are selling the LitJoy Six of Crows set specifically - why are you pricing two books that originally sold for $125, including a key to the Crow Club and a print, for $600?

And don’t get me started on if they’re listed on Mercari, because that’s another $100+ in fees
