Hi! I just wanna say that you writing is just *chef's kiss* and lately you spoil us, the Ethan girlies (even tho those are comission). And i just wanna thank you for your hard work and imaginative writing . I have been a follower of yours since the 'Gay enough' era. And you opened my eyes to new possibilities and how relationship can be and also how kinks can be part of a healthy relationships (i think we all read at least one ff on tumblr that has some dubious smut scenes and toxic relationships) . Furthermore i and surely others are grateful for your blog and works since you are one of the few Måneskin fan blogs that kept writting and is still active consistently. WHY are the Zones allowed to exist?

first, let me pop down my dangerverse history headcanons as reference

it’s really fun to speculate how BLI deals with the growing threat of the killjoy rebellion. even though the comic is trash you can see that, even after (or maybe even especially because of) the fab four’s death, the rebellion only grows and the zones gets pretty populated as more and more people flock to join the other runners. in the rp, we have a lot of talk about the grand executions and punishments that were given in the olden days, that have given way to milder treatments, something that used to warrant the death sentance instantly now lending itself to reeducation instead

but why? i mean, obviously we don’t want to kill off all our ocs, but why were the zones even allowed to exist? it’s not exactly... hard to think of BLI and battery city as being in possession of nuclear power though the thought is terrifying. the album and the twitterverse both imply that the zones were very heavily bombed, though if you look at this map of the bombings that caused the great fires (more on that here) you would see that hardly any of it took place in california. literally remnants of a bomb are found IN THE ZONES, so why not just bomb the zones again, or at the very least, make it absolutely��uninhabitable??

because there is profit to make out of rebellion. BLI is incredibly smart in later turning the entire concept of the rebellion into a franchise, but it doesn’t stop there

sure, culling the killjoys may be the easier option. but what does that leave you with? a whole lot of bodies and not much else. but reeducating killjoys? you now have more workers, more people to sell and buy your product, more consumers to spread the good word of BLI. BLI is a company that wants to rival religion, it would much rather build itself up on faith than on fear. sure, it could kill you, but remaking you in its image? resurrecting you from a death state you can’t even perceive because your memories of your identity before are just gone? much more suitable for the god complex that BLI tends to exhibit. not to mention... the headcanon that reeducation is a faulty technology, because you can’t truly take away free will forever... the idea that reeducation will break, and memories will break through and return... doesn’t that just help the business??? sure, you could be killed, but wouldn’t it be better to just reeducate you and reeducate you, trap you into an endless cycle that forces you deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole, all while billing you for it?? just piling the debt on so that, no matter what, you owe the company?

think about it. crushing a rebellion only sparks a new one. people can only handle so much violence so close to them. if, instead, you decide to slowly and steadily ‘cure’ a population, acting like you’re providing for their every need while stabbing them in the back with every step they take, it’s so much easier to control. and in the months or years it takes to undo one reeducation, BLI has already gotten so much more powerful. so, instead of a mountain of corpses, BLI just has this city of worms just continously trying to dig itself out of the dirt and towards the sunlight only to get stomped down again as they make themselves higher and higher. that, that is far more suitable for the grand purposes of BLI and their goals than acting like a barbarian and just getting rid of the killjoys. as annoying as they are, at this point, the 2020s of danger days are all about sustaining the killjoy threat into something that benefits them, and robbing as much power from the rebellion as possible

“Those bruises, Y/N, where’d you get them?” 

“I. Don’t. Know.”

“I don’t believe you.”

“Fine then, don’t believe me. First Alex, then Christen and now you. This is just great, my teammates think I’m a liar. Well I’m not and I’m telling you the truth.”

I brushed by her and stormed out of the room, now determined to avoid my teammates so they’d stop asking questions and questioning my honesty.

“I’m not a liar. I don’t know where I got the bruises, I don’t know why they won’t believe me.”

Present

After I stormed out of the room I share with Ali I ran... yes literally ran out of the hotel and out into the street. Well okay it was more like the sidewalk but whatever, I’m going for dramatic story telling here. I was angry, hurt and confused as to why my teammates couldn’t just believe me. I’ve never lied to them before, not ever. If something was going on I would have told them. And I genuinely have no clue where these bruises came from, I don’t remember hurting myself badly in practices or games and I don’t do any other crazy activities that would warrant the sudden appearance of severe looking injuries. I knew I just needed to clear my head so I started walking in a random direction hoping to get my thoughts together.

After a while I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket and knew it was probably one of my teammates looking for me so I ignored it. My phone stopped ringing only for a short time before it stared up again. This went on for several long minutes before it finally stopped. After each attempt from whoever was trying reach me there was a separate single vibrate indicating they left a message. I felt a little guilty for disappearing and probably worrying everyone but they shouldn’t have assumed or accused me of lying. Thinking they finally got the message that I didn’t want to speak to them I continued walking god knows where trying to think of what to say when I finally decided to go back. I was really deep in thought, trying to remember if and when I got the bruises. Obviously they don’t just appear like magic. They have to be caused by something, but... what? All the sudden I was hit with a vague memory

“Huh?... Wha- where am I?”

“You fell asleep on the couch dear. Don’t you remember? It was really adorable actually. My mom said super sweetly.

That’s weird, she’s never overly sweet with me, like ever.

“No, I don’t remember doing that.”

I looked around and the tv was on, which is also rare. It was playing a random comedy movie. Comedy? My parents don’t even like comedy movies.

“Oh well you did. Right after dinner, you dragged your feet over to the couch and was out like a light before we knew it.” She said casually.

My dad waltzed in like everything was totally normal. What the fuck is going on. Why don’t I even remember eating dinner? How long have I been here? Why does my body hurt so much?

I came back to the present feeling slightly uneasy. I remembered now a little bit of what happened when I got to my parents house and a little bit of what happened after I woke up from my nap. They managed to convince me everything was fine after that and I left assuming they were telling me the truth because I was too tired and too annoyed to argue. But the more I thought about it the more I wondered just how much of what they said is true. Why were there huge gaps in my time with them? And why do I get the feeling that the weird gut feeling I have isn’t a coincidence? I got lost in thought again but it was peaceful this time and quiet which I was relishing in.

Unfortunately the peace and quiet only lasted for a few minutes when I started to get what I assumed were dozens of texts. I finally got fed up and decided to silence my phone completely. When I unlocked it I saw a glimpse of some of the worried texts from the team. They all pretty much said the same thing;

“Y/N please come back. I’m sorry for saying I didn’t believe you. I’m just concerned about you. I want to talk and I’ll listen to whatever you have to say. Just please come back.”- Ali

“Hey kid, heard what happened. Wanna talk?”- T

“Y/n where are you? I heard what happened and that you left?? please come back, we’re worried.”- Christen

“Bruh what the hell? let’s talk?”- Ash

“where r u?”- Mal

“It’s not safe for you to be out by yourself. Ali told us about the other bruises. Whatever this is we’ll help you. We’re gonna start searching for you if you don’t get your ass back here soon. We love you.”- Alex

And it went on like that as every single member of the team texted me some variation of that and the voicemails they all left were much the same. I started to feel more guilty but let my anger keep me from replying to them. They can stew a little longer.

Meanwhile back at the Hotel...

“Okay, so tell us exactly what happened.”

“I saw the bruises when she was changing, which I happened to walk in on. I don’t think she was expecting me. I asked her what happened and she said that nothing had happened and I asked her about the bruises I saw on her arm, shoulder and spine and she continued to tell me she has no idea where they came from. I told her I didn’t believe her and then she got upset and she just... left.”

“Just like that? She didn’t say where she was going?”

“No, she was so angry she just stormed out and when I tried to follow after her she was already gone.”

“And she’s still not answering her phone. Damnit kid come on, where are you?”

“She’s not safe out there on her own, we have to go look for her.”

“And how are we supposed to find her when she doesn’t have her location on and is doing everything she can’t to ignore us?”

“I have no idea but we have to try.”

“We will, but we should give her a little more time. It’s possible she’s just around the corner cooling off. She’ll come back when she’s ready.”

“You’re right.”

“Guys I hate to steer us back into more serious topics but shouldn’t we be talking about the bruises she has that started all of this?”

“What do you guys think they’re from?” Megan asked.

“I want to believe her when she says she doesn’t know but I mean how can you just not know about bruises as severe as those?” Ash said.

“I mean... I’ve had some pretty bad ones I don’t remember getting from anywhere.” Mal said off-handily.

I saw some of the rest of the team nod silently, indicating that they too had, had the same thing happen to them. And I had to admit that I had my fair share of bumps and bruises that I couldn’t explain because they just seemed to appear but I was still concerned for our youngest teammate as it was getting pretty late and it was already dark outside.

“Oh god, you don’t think it’s her parents do you?” Tobin asked no one in particular.

We all paused for a moment to process what she was implying and I know we were silently hoping, praying that they wouldn’t do that to her. That they wouldn’t beat their own child.

“No, there’s no way. She’s told us that they love and support her and that even though they aren’t around much they still care about her.”

“Right, you’re right.”

“It has to be them though, I mean there’s no other explanation. She didn’t have them before or after practice right?” Alex asked.

“No, she didn’t.” Lindsey said solemnly.

“Do you really think parents can just flip a switch? Just like that? Be caring and supportive one minute and violent then next?”

“It’s possible.”

“No, just don’t even go there. I refuse to believe they would do that.”

“We would have seen the bruises if she had them before, since we all change in the same locker room together for practices and games remember?” I said

“Fuck. When I get my hands on them I swear to god...”

She didn’t get to finish her sentence because Y/n walked into the dining hall where we were all gathered.

You were in awe of everything happening, you moved home to your childhood town and here was your childhood best friend and first love standing in front of you asking you on a date. Chan had taken you out to eat and for some reason he wanted to try 닭발 (Chicken feet) with you. The dish was known for often being spicy and many people can’t eat it, but he just wanted to shock you and just order it.

The restaurant you two would go to was very nice and the food was great. Chan was laughing his ass off when he saw your shocked expression. “ARE THOSE FEET?” You’d yell in a whisper in a shock. He would just laugh and tell her to eat it. As he was taking a bite or a nibble what you would like to call it, he kept staring at you as you ate your chicken.

He was bamboozled when he didn’t see you break a sweat, when he was chugging the milk down his throat. “HOW ARE YOU OKAY?” “I love spicy food remember? And besides, this isn’t even that spicy-“ “WHAT ARE YOU? Right now you would be making a grilled cheese at home, but you being you, you put half of the powdered chili jar onto your cheese. Minho was watching you from the doorway, judging you silently.

“If I knew I would be dating Satan, I would have reconsidered this relationship.” He mumbled loud enough for you to hear. He was clearly joking, but he just like teasing you since you would whine out to him and it was the cutest thing ever to him as well.

Changbin likes spicy food and when you told him you loved it as well, he got excited and suggested to cook together. You had never mentioned the level of spiciness you liked or could handle and you probably should’ve since you were the one making the food and not Changbin. You see, if Changbin would be the one who was making the food, everything would’ve been fine. If it wasn’t spicy enough for you yet, you could’ve always added some more.

But since you thought and assumed that he’d be on the same level as you, it wasn’t fine. As soon as Changbin took a spoonful of the food you had prepared, he started coughing. The food hadn’t even passed his throat yet and he acted like he was dying.

You were in Korea for a few weeks. You had vacation and you wanted to spend it with your lover, Hyunjin. After a whole day of cute and fun activities, you two became hungry so you went out for some spicy cold noodles, since it was a hot day in Seoul. You two sat down and enjoyed each other’s company some more as you waited for you food. When it did arrive, you asked the waiter for some extra pepper. Even more than you had already had in your dish.

Hyunjin looked at you like you were out of your mind, and so did the waiter. “A-are you sure you can handle that?” Hyunjin asked worried. “Of course, I love spicy food. Felix:

This baby can’t eat spicy food as well, but he wasn’t going to let that stop him from doing the spicy ramen challenge. He had seen it all over the internet and Felix being Felix, he just had to try it. So he made two packs and dragged you in front of the camera so the two of you could both suffer, well that was his intention to be honest.

Little did he know that you love spicy food and that it was easy for you. You had finished the ramen within five minutes, shocking Felix who was choking in front of the camera. She was totally fine and even snatched a noodle from his plate every now and them.

He would throw his hands up in disbelief and have a mixture of laughter and coughing as he realised how dumb he must’ve been looking.

“I’m sorry STAY I never though that my love would’ve beaten me at something that involves food. I’ll get my revenge though.” “I also don’t think he needs a punishment, because this whole challenge seemed like a punishment to him and he did this to himself.” You giggled to the camera whilst Felix was chugging a whole carton of milk down.

“I’ll update you guys if he’s still alive after this, bye!” You laughed before waved the camera goodbye.

Seungmin:

Seungmin loved your cooking, the simple meals, the small meals, the three course meals etc. This time he came over unexpected and you were making food, for yourself. It was a simple 떡볶이 (Tteokbokki = stir-fried rice cakes), but you knew you had made it spicy, very spicy to be precise.

You told your boyfriend that you would make him some different ones, but he told you didn’t have to and just eat some of the ones you made already. And you could just predict how this would turn out.

“They are spicy though-“

“I think I can handle it.” He said, trying to act confident. He had always heard you about how much you loved spicy food. Needless to say that Seungmin had never tasted your kind of spicy before and he wished he had never had to because the poor boy started to cough and even to hiccup after he ate some.

“Shall I make you a different one?”

“Y-yes p-please.” He said in between hiccups, making you laugh.

Jeongin loves spicy food, he never knew you did as well. One day you would be over at the dorm and the other members would’ve been out to give the two of you some alone time. He hadn’t given it a second thought that it could’ve been too spicy for you, until he had taken the first bite and realised it was quite hot. He was about to stop you from eating, but he was already too late. Without even looking at how you were actually doing, he just rushed to the kitchen instead and grabbed the first carton of milk he could find. When he returned, he noticed you staring at him in confusion whilst calmly eating the food he made.

“Y-you can eat it? It isn’t too spicy?” He asks in surprise. “No, I like it! it’s like 7pm and after a long and tiring day at work, you get home with the full intent of just eating your dinner and going to bed bc you’re just so over everything

and then change into your sweats and get all cozy and whatever

but suddenly it’s like 10pm and you realize

you’ve been sitting around after dinner just messing with your phone bc turns out, you weren’t really THAT tired, just tired of work and in need of a break

eddie doesn’t want his daughter anywhere NEAR the karate ring anymore and richie thinks that if rhiana wants to continue she should

however she doesn’t want to do it anymore and richie notices she’s super sad all the time, so he suggests a new hobby and rhiana is like “like what?”

richie’s like well how about i teach you how to play guitar!!

rhiana learns acoustic guitar in like a freaking week and she gets so excited about musical instruments so she learns how to play piano and fipple flute and ukulele and wow richie’s so proud

liam gets interested in instruments too now that he has to listen to his sister practice in her room 24/7 (because of course richie bought her her own piano too), so liam learns how to play the bass

“kids, i think we should start a garage band!”

they definitely won’t let richie take any photos to the "baby photo” books that turned into a little longer than expected

so one night eddie walks upstairs to find richie crying in the bedroom with his head in his hands

and it does go away thankfully,,, and at the age of 15-16 they’re almost back to normal again. but now they’re just so teenagers
