Even if this is a tiny crush, I think they’d still have a moment where they’re afraid this might cause a rift. They don’t want to bring you around too much in case it feels like they’re rubbing it in, or if it would encourage the crush to grow. But they don’t want to not bring you around, you know? I think these guys might try to approach it the most maturely by just have a simple level-headed conversation with the other member because he cares about you both deeply.

He doesn’t want to feel any animosity towards one of his group members, but when he overhears that another member has a little crush on his partner, he might not be able to stifle the feeling of jealousy. If this possessive streak causes problems, he’ll feel bad, but maybe not bad enough to stop it.

Y/N had always been the affectionate one in Seventeen. Hugs, playful touches, leaning on shoulders it came so naturally to her. The members never seemed to mind; in fact, they encouraged it, often teasing her for being “too clingy” while secretly appreciating her warmth. She was like the glue that held them all together, always making sure no one felt left out.

But today, things were different.

“Y/N, we need to talk,” the manager said, his tone serious as he gestured for her to sit in the small meeting room.

She sat down nervously, her hands fiddling with the hem of her hoodie. “Did I do something wrong?”

The manager sighed, glancing at a folder of reports in his hands. “It’s not about doing something ‘wrong,’ but we’ve received feedback that your behavior with the members might seem… unprofessional. You’re part of Seventeen, a top-tier group. Being too touchy or playful could affect your image and the group’s reputation.”

Her stomach dropped. She blinked at him, unsure of what to say.

“I’m not saying you can’t be close with the members,” he continued. “But tone it down. Fans are watching, and they notice everything. Maintain some boundaries. This is about professionalism.”

During practice, when Hoshi threw an arm around her shoulders, she gently shrugged it off with a polite smile. When Seungkwan jokingly asked for a hug after nailing a high note, she only offered him a quiet thumbs-up. And when Mingyu tripped and instinctively reached for her arm, she stepped back, pretending not to notice.

The members were quick to notice the shift.

“What’s up with Y/N lately?” Jeonghan asked one afternoon as they lounged in the waiting room before a shoot. “She’s been… different.”

“She doesn’t even cling to me anymore,” Mingyu complained, pouting dramatically. “I used to be her favorite!”

“She hasn’t hugged me all week,” Seungkwan chimed in, crossing his arms. “It’s weird. Did we do something wrong?”

Seungcheol shook his head, his brows furrowed in thought. “Something’s off. I’ll talk to her.”

That evening, after their schedule wrapped up, Seungcheol found Y/N sitting alone in the corner of the practice room. She was staring at her phone, her face unreadable.

“Hey,” he said gently, sitting down beside her. “You’ve been quiet lately.”

Y/N hesitated, then sighed. “I didn’t mean to make anyone worry. I’m just… trying to follow management’s advice.”

Seungcheol tilted his head. “What advice?”

“They told me I need to be more professional,” she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. “That being too clingy with you guys could hurt the group’s image. I don’t want to cause problems, so I’ve been trying to keep my distance.”

Seungcheol’s expression softened as he listened. “Y/N, you’re not a problem. You’re family. You’ve never crossed any lines with us, and we’ve never felt uncomfortable with how you act. If anything, your affection keeps us grounded.”

“But what about the fans? And the group’s image?”

He smiled faintly. “Fans love us for who we are our genuine bond, our closeness. And part of that is you. If anyone has an issue with it, that’s on them, not you.”

As if on cue, the door to the practice room burst open, and the other members poured in.

“Are you hiding from us?” Vernon teased, crossing his arms.

“We’ve been looking for you everywhere,” Joshua added, his tone kind.

Before Y/N could respond, Seungkwan flopped dramatically onto the floor in front of her. “Why are you avoiding me, Y/N? Am I not lovable anymore?”

Y/N couldn’t help but laugh at his theatrics, her heart warming despite herself. “I’m not avoiding you.”

“You’ve barely touched any of us in days,” Mingyu said, crouching down to her level. “What’s going on?”

Seungcheol glanced at Y/N, silently encouraging her to speak. She hesitated but decided to be honest.

“Management told me I needed to tone it down,” she said quietly. “That being too affectionate might hurt the group.”

For a moment, the room was silent. Then, Hoshi spoke up, his voice firm. “That’s ridiculous! You’re our Sister.”

“You’re part of this family Y/N we literally grew up together,” Jeonghan added. “The way you are with us doesn’t need to change.”

“Yeah,” Woozi said from the back, his tone blunt but sincere. “Don’t let anyone tell you to stop being yourself.”

The overwhelming support made tears well up in Y/N’s eyes. She tried to blink them away, but DK noticed immediately. “Group hug!” he declared, pulling her into his arms.

One by one, the rest of the members joined in, squishing Y/N between them in a giant embrace.

“See?” Seungcheol said with a smile. “This is who we are. Don’t ever feel like you have to change that.”

She hugged them back tightly, her heart full.

Maybe management didn’t understand, but she didn’t care. Seventeen was her family, and nothing could change that.

from rhin��� me when i have no creative juices to write a new drabble so i steal one from my old blog. anyways do not give this any hype bc it’s so bad i might as well write a pt 2 if anyone wants😣。

what’s worse than having a normal crush is having a crush on your best friend’s brother, jun. he’s not any typical brother; he’s the younger brother who doesn’t talk to anyone besides his friends and family. the younger brother, who only has one face for every emotion. he’s the younger brother who’s the eldest among his friends.

it’s even worse when he goes to your school. fate loves to be a hater and decided that you two should see each other everywhere, whether he’s behind you in line at the cafeteria or walking the same hall after your drama class and his gym class. wherever you are, jun is there. some people would think it’s a blessing to be around their crush all the time, and it is. it’s also a curse, as instead of greeting him, you find yourself running as far away as possible from him.

the idea of your best friend finding out isn’t the reason you’re running away. in fact, you even told her you liked him, and she didn’t seem to care at all. all she did was laugh. she finds it hilarious how he’s gullible and you’re here trying to keep yourself from running away when he’s around, especially when you’re at her house. from sitting next to you on the couch for a movie night to grabbing a cup from the cabinet in the kitchen where you’re eating, you’d expect her to glare at you, but she only tries to hold her laughter in.

you don’t know why you can’t function when he’s around every time. is it because he smells like pencil shaving all the time, his glasses suit his face shape, or he wears that umber leather jacket over his uniform every day? it’s weird since you complain all the time that you miss him, but when you do see him, you’re suddenly meters away from his presence. you hate the idea of talking to him, but at the same time, you love talking about him with your friends. when your friends insult him, like his haircut or the fact that he’s part of the chess club, your mouth starts talking back as if you were a lawyer defending their client.

the one question that makes everyone you know intrigued is: how come you’ve never had at least one interaction with him?

‘i saw jun in the hallway first thing in the morning’. you write on the sticky note, passing it to your friend in the middle of your drama class. your teacher has been too busy blabbering about her life in acting school for the past hour. you look up at the clock; it’s five before the bell rings. some of your classmates are doing work, and others are on their phones. no one seems to be listening to her at all; they’re all waiting for the bell.

yeojin passes a sticky note to you. ‘what did you do?’. she stared at you as you retold her what happened with your fingers. you tried to tell her that you walked past him, but she didn’t understand your gestures. “what?” she mouths. you lean close enough so she can hear your whispers.

“i walked past him,” you whisper lowly so the teacher wouldn’t notice but loud enough for yeojin to hear. she covers her mouth, restraining herself from bursting into laughter. as the bell rings, your teacher mentions a project due in a few days while you get ready to leave.

the performing arts department is in a long, separate hallway away from regular classes. in that hallway is also the gym, where jun finishes his class. the hallway is tiring for you and yeojin, but all you want to do is get to your next class without having to see jun. yeojin leaves you for her class, which is the one near the exit of the hall. you’re here, walking alone to the end of the hall. sometimes it takes you two minutes to get to your class or more, depending on the number of people. as you go through multiple people squished like sardines in a can and make your way to the end of the hall, you halt, hearing your name and an unfamiliar voice.

“oh, y/n, you dropped this,” jun says as you look behind. he picks up a notebook from the floor and hands it to you. you’re frozen and silent, and he simply smiles at you and leaves. you run to your next class and sit down in your seat as you contemplate. many things are happening at once—things that you found impossible.

he says your name and gives you your journal, the one place where you talk about him, then proceeds to smile at you. it sounds impossible, but it did indeed happen. but what’s really important is that he spoke to you.

you haven’t seen jun since that interaction. you don’t see him in the hallways at school or in the living room at their house. whenever eunha calls him down for dinner, he’ll just stay silent or respond that he’s busy. when he did come out of his room, it was only to return your journal. your best friend accidentally gave him your journal when he asked her to get his notebook.

it was a simple mistake; he didn’t mean to look inside. the outside looked like his, but the inside was totally different. when he opened a random page, he noticed how his notes were colourful, his handwriting was curvier than it should be, and the words were the total opposite of physics. he put his glasses on and immediately closed the book as he read the first sentence.

‘i miss jun’. he quickly pushes the book off his table and backs away from it. he’s shocked in many ways. those words are playing in his head on repeat. all he can imagine is your voice saying those words. he wants to know what else you say about him, but it’s wrong; it’s your privacy. he approaches the book but is wary of picking it up. his hands are trembling the more he moves closer, until the pads of his fingers touch the leather cover.

he leaves his room with the journal in his hand. his eyes meet with yours as he enters the living room, places your journal down on the coffee table, and grabs his. you quickly grabbed your journal and sat on it as he asked you a question before he walked out.

“are you busy this friday?”

I think he’d just flat out offer. The ‘no strings attached’ sort of thing would probably work for them more than the others. I think there’s always that chance of feelings becoming involved, but they might do better about keeping the line at just sex. Most often, I don’t see them having hard feelings about you having more than one fwb or cutting things off with him down the line. 

He’s down (for right now anyway) - Seungcheol, Hoshi, Vernon

He’d jump at the opportunity because he’s into you and he goes into it thinking he’ll be satisfied with fwb. And it might go well for a bit! But then it doesn’t when he realizes he’s gotten in kind of deep. He might struggle with keeping it to just sex after this point, but might try to keep it going just because it might be the only way he can have anything with you.

I get the impression that these guys would prefer to not do the whole fwb thing at all. So whether they would approach you about it or not would really depend on how badly they want something, anything, with you. And if you approach them, they’d really have to think about it. I think they’d already know that their feelings would be tied up in anything else they do with you and it would be a debate on whether that’s worth the hurt it might bring. Unfortunately, this is a wishy-washy category to me.

Yeah, they’re not touching that. I think they’d really prefer a relationship, so they aren’t going to approach you about that. And if you approached them, they’d only think about it for a second before politely declining. This rejection might, oddly enough, come with a bit of a confession that they already have strong feelings for you and they can’t mess around like that. It’s up to you beyond that.

The Seventeen practice room was usually full of energy laughter, voices, and music booming from the speakers. But lately, something felt off. Y/N, the group’s 14th member, had been unusually quiet. Normally someone who brought a spark to the room, she now lingered in the background, avoiding attention and speaking only when necessary.

Seungcheol was the first to notice. As the leader, he had always kept a close eye on the members, and Y/N’s behavior worried him. During a break, he pulled Jeonghan and Mingyu aside.

“Have you noticed Y/N lately? She seems… different,” he said quietly.

Jeonghan nodded, his expression thoughtful. “Yeah, she’s not her usual self. She barely smiles anymore.”

“She’s probably just tired,” Mingyu offered, though the concern in his voice was clear.

But it wasn’t just exhaustion. Late one evening, Joshua found Y/N sitting alone in a corner of the stairwell, her knees pulled up to her chest. Her phone was clutched tightly in her hands, her head bowed low. Joshua approached her carefully, his voice soft.

“Y/N? Are you okay?”

She flinched at the sound of his voice but didn’t look up. After a long pause, she finally handed him her phone. Joshua’s chest tightened as he read through the barrage of hateful messages, cruel comments, and edited photos sent by sasaengs. The words were venomous, picking apart everything from her talent to her place in the group.

“These aren’t real fans,” Joshua said firmly, crouching in front of her. “They don’t know you. They don’t know how hard you work or how much you mean to us.”

Y/N’s shoulders shook as silent tears fell. Joshua didn’t hesitate to pull her into a comforting hug.

When he told the others, their reactions were immediate.

“What?!” Hoshi exclaimed, his usual playful energy replaced by anger. “How can people say things like that?”

“They don’t deserve to call themselves Carats,” Minghao said coldly, his jaw tight.

“She’s part of us,” Seungkwan said, pacing the room. “We need to protect her.”————————————————————————————-The next day, the members surrounded Y/N in the practice room. Seungcheol stepped forward first. “You don’t have to face this alone. We’re a team, Y/N. You’re one of us.”

Woozi nodded, his voice calm but full of conviction. “You’re not just a member of Seventeen. You’re family.”

Each of the members found a way to show their support. Dino and Vernon stuck close to Y/N during schedules, making sure she felt safe. Jeonghan and Jun kept a watchful eye on social media, reporting harmful accounts. DK made a point to check in with her daily, reminding her how much she was loved.

The biggest gesture came during a fan meeting. Seungcheol addressed the crowd directly, his tone firm but caring.

“Seventeen isn’t just thirteen or fourteen people,” he said. “It’s all of us—including Carats. And in this family, we treat each other with kindness and respect.”

Carats rallied behind Y/N, flooding social media with messages of love and encouragement. Slowly, she began to heal. The hateful messages didn’t completely disappear, but they were drowned out by overwhelming support from her members and fans alike.

In Seventeen, Y/N had found not just a team but a family that would stand by her through any storm.
