"It's... it's Daniel. I don't fucking trust him," he muttered like it was nothing making you sigh. "I can't explain why, I just... I dunno. He looks at you like a freak and I don't think he's good for you." He admitted straightforward whole fumbling with his pockets. It was a rare sight to see Jess anything less than... how do I put this lightly? A cynical, judgmental, cocky bastard. 

So this was a sight to see. He was confident in his words but an internal conflict was dragging him down revealing an inner mood. "What are you.." Your voice trailed off in pure confusion. Reminiscent on the idea that this is why Jess has been so on edge lately. "Where are you even getting this from?" A stern look took over your face.

"Listen to me, Y/N. Something's off about this guy. Everyone can see it." Jess snapped before he sighed and attempted to calm himself down. He didn't want to get angry at you, that was the last resort actually. "What if we just followed him? Just for one day? We would find something-"

"What the hell? No!" You interjected in genuine question if your best friend had gone mad. "Can you stop accusing him of being a dick? Does this get you off?"

The two had gone silent as they both swallowed your words. There was a hint of regret on your behalf even though Jess was showing signs of insanity. He stepped forward, his hand placing a gentle hold on your arm. He was desperate and it showed. "I'm telling you, something's wrong with that guy. I can't tell you why... or how, I just feel it. Believe me, please. For me?"

You contemplated his words for a moment before looking him in the eye directly. Now or never. "Is it that or something else?" You hushed, a hasty breath releasing. "What do you..." His voice was soft, which you'd never experienced from Jess. He tried to sound curious and failed miserably when he took a deep breath.

Another silence fell over the two when she tried to decipher what he was thinking. She had no idea which route to take. "Are you upset that we don't see each-other anymore? I know I've been distant lately but you can't just put the blame on Danny, Jess."

Safe route.

His hand ran down her forearm to play with her fingers unintentionally. Jess was silent which showcased his answer. You were right and he didn't want to admit how much that affected him, or how much that was apart of the problem. He also half expected you to say something else but realized how idiotic that thought was. "It's true... but only because I care about you. I don't want you to get hurt or whatever... you know?" Once again, safe route. Or as I would say... bullshit.

"Are you sure about that?" Your voice came just below a whisper hardly enough for either of you to hear. His face seemed to harden at the accusation he wanted you to believe him. "Can't you just believe the 'I miss you' lame thing?" He attempted to joke with a straight face. You didn't budge and let out a soft breath before glancing away. "What do you want me to tell you, Y/N?" Jess's voice raised into a heavier tone seemingly upset with his best friend's lack of belief.

"That you love me," you uttered even shocking yourself. Jess quite literally couldn't believe his ears. He didn't waste anytime to do the thing he couldn't stop thinking about anytime he saw you. Jess stepped forward with your faces nearly touching. "I do love you."

Now was your opportunity to not waste any time. You leaned forward and pressed a soft kiss to his lips. A sudden surprise for Jess, which he obviously appreciated. The short but passionate kiss was ended with a soft breath, only for him make an attempt to take the lead. He took a deep breath and pulled you back into him. A deeper and more intense kiss coming over the both of you. You were soft and sweet in his arms that were now tangling around you. Due to dire need of oxygen (sadly) your lips were pulled apart. The elephant in the room needed to be addressed and no I'm not talking about your dad's elephant hat. "What are you gonna tell the asshole?"

"Jess," You warned teasingly being brought out of your trance. "That I'm the asshole. I shouldn't have stringed him along like this. I know we weren't exclusive or anything but... I feel really bad. Because I've been in love with my best friend for a long fucking time."

Jess had to bite down on his lip to stop himself from kissing you again. A new addiction of his has occurred and they were called your lips. This conversation was heavy on your heart, you needed his advice rather than his spit. "How do you think he'll react?"

"Well how would you react?" You scoffed before pressing your head against the wall. "He'll take it out on me, not you. I'm sure." This was the time Jess realized this situation would have consequences to be dealt with. Something he was never too fond of. He liked living life his way, not with a barrier. The thought of Daniel being pissed at you made him want to knock him out, which to be fair is something he's wanted to do for a long time. Jess pressed his lips to your cheek softly, in an attempt of comfort. A sweeter Jess was something you'd never seen. But you weren't arguing.

"I'll talk to him if you want... I promise to call him Daniel and not Dickwad." Jess teased with his nose pressed to the side of your face. You giggled before turning towards him. "That might not be the best idea since I just spent my evening confessing my love to you."

"Fair enough." Now was his turn to laugh shining his crooked grin you were so fond of. "I'll wait outside with a crowbar for him and a kiss for you." Jess's joke made you playfully roll his eyes before leaning in for a soft kiss. You wanted to take in as much as this moment as possible. It was still unbelievable. "I'm yours, I'll be there for whatever you need. Like your own personal Bosley?"

"Does that make me your angel?" You teased while he replied with his lips touching yours for the seventh millionth time that evening. But you knew you'd never get sick of this feeling. Neither of you could bare to hold back as you fell deeper into the kiss. When you finally pulled apart he was full of energy and adrenaline. He could run a marathon screaming about how he was kissing the girl he loved loudly. He wanted to know how you felt about him too. "Tell me I'm the only one for you," He whispered intensely. Jess's look was pure fire as he intensely looked into your eyes.

"I love you, Jess Mariano. Only you."

"Good. Now let's watch Detroit Rock City."

so uh— what if darling is insistent on leaving vesper, like— REALLY insistent. bringing it up casually saying “It’s going to turn me on even more when i leave you and go back to earth,” or “So where’s the going back home ritual?”

and this is kinda because darling doesn’t feel deserving of vesper. sure, she loves him— but like that one post, she just can’t stand seeing vesper having sex with others while she’s just a human who can’t take him. (forever a virgin) and also cause darling sees sex as a romantic while vesper sees it as….idk the word but you get it.

(maybes it even worse when darling has to dissociate and leave the room everytime she caught vesper with someone else. and she will get extremely depressed for days on end everytime she hears the moans and all— putting her in a constant cycle. sorry im projecting my bpd on darling.)

and i saw the post of vesper explaining it too, and while darling understands, she’s still sad regardless, and extremely hurt if vesper calls her cruel when she also tries to explain.

so darling went quiet, nods and casually walked away. and that’s when all the comments about wanting to go home started.

then weeks passed and no one ever saw darling ever again. because darling sees there’s no point to be with vesper anymore even if she loves him, but now she’s mostly inside her separate room 24/7 bedrotting (aka back to her old lifestyle before being taken into Hell.)

or you know, just gets up and leaves Hell altogether. find some way to remove the mark, asked a couple of concerned imps for the way home, or call upon an angel on the icon of hell phone to take them back to earth. and darling SUCCEEDED in returning home.

i know vesper um…is vespering but maybe this is a rare, once in a lifetime moment where vesper snaps, goes feral, actually blue balling himself for so long until he finds darling again on earth. and during that time hell is in constant chaos idk im just blabbering and rambling at this point.

but yeah, ending can be vesper finding darling again and turning her to a succubus, or darling just lives her life peacefully while hell is going down from the domino effect.

I'm not going to write anything, you made a scenario on your own, the skeleton for the entire story is already there.

Though this does seem a bit weird. Are you actually genuinely upset with the character? I'm not going to upset you further by telling you how realistic or unrealistic some of his actions here are.

I don't even quite understand what you meant with reader getting cucked. Cucking doesn't really exist in Lust because having sex with others is simply natural and expected and partners don't see it as a betrayal, it'd just be another culture barrier in the relationship. Out of many other culture barriers that you have to adapt to whether you like it or not. You would continue to get "cucked", because the King of Lust cannot subsist on you alone, and he's not about to weaken himself because you find him having sex with others repulsive.

If you are genuinely upset with all this, for some reason, consider finding a character that won't cause that effect in you. I didn't really make any of this with the intent of causing people to get depressed.

"The tension" girl that's just how cooks act. We all act like we're gonna fuck but obviously we can't bc we work together but we WILL do everything except that. Would we be perfect as a couple? Yeah probably. Unfortunately dinner service must Go On and we can't focus on anything but how far behind pantry is on closing.

But tbh the type of relationships that come out of kitchens are so intense and close but so completely devoid of any romantic experiences because truly we see one another at our absolute worst and our absolute best and the closest well get is having a shifter and joking about how terrible that service went. Ever cook is immediately bonded by how terribly we're treated and how awful we feel all the time and how great it feels to be out of the kitchen after closing is done and the floors are scrubbed and the salamander is finally cleaned out after putting it off for so long. Every man I've dated who isn't in the industry is IMMEDIATELY and IMMENSELY jealous of the relationships I have with the men in the kitchen bc they all think we want to fuck, but truly they are like brothers to me.

It's so poetic to watch as someone in that type of dynamic and to see people not in the industry pine so desperately for romantic relationships makes me LAUGH. I'm sorry but we're all too damaged for that bestie. No one in this industry is in it because we're capable of healthy relationships. Neways. Sorry. We're all just whores by design and we love the idea of being sluts but we're all too exhausted for it. The closest to romantic we get is bumming a cig after service in the alleyway.

i don’t think sydney wants to be a slut. there’s really nothing in her character to indicate that.

i also think the narrative was setting up romantic connotations because it drew an obvious parallel btwn syd & the restaurant as the two/one thing(s) most important in carmy’s life. when carmy’s getting distracted by claire, syd is inbetween every shot of them, whether sydney is at the restaurant or by herself, or by herself doing stuff for the restaurant—

and even down to the way claire represents carmy’s past and is painted narratively in strict contention/competition with syd for carmy’s time & attention! the first time we see that girl, she clearly still thinks the restaurant is named the bear (a clear indication of her place in his past, & the adjustments & commitment tht wld be necessary to make her part of his present/future)

and especially the table scene—when sydney says she isn’t jealous, it’s not really hard to believe that she was lying: we’ve already seen that she doesn’t always say what she means, i.e. with marcus: she’s clearly still feeling awkward w him after he tried to ask her out, but tries to overcome it bc the beef comes first!

like you’re saying men you know are jealous of the relationships u have w ur coworkers—marcus is right on the edge of being jealous about sydney’s devotion to carmy. it’s not necessarily explicitly written that way, but it’s also not super duper far fetched.

but anyways, the romance itself isn’t even hidden forreal. carmen tells this girl—who is devoted to his cause, his family restaurant and all the burdens it carries—“you deserve all my attention, all my time. i can’t do this without you—i wouldn’t even want to. i’m sorry.”

in every other context ever, and on paper—that’s a fucking love confession!

and the way he says he wouldn’t even want to; carmy has such a complex relationship with the art and technicality of cooking, and i think syd really reminds him that it’s something he’s meant to enjoy. it’s something that he does genuinely enjoy, even if he has to dig past the pools of sorrow & resentment that live in him to do. especially because there’s all that sorrow & resentment in him; he has to learn to enjoy not just cooking, but his own day to day life.

like people come damaged. and before they really get into the romance, i’d love for carmy to have some amazing character development! (we’re calling them a slow burn for a reason.) but even the way syd deals with him now is very romantic. bc it’s not necessarily her dealing with him; it’s a partnership. this guy (carmen) goes and buys syd a $2k chef’s uniform that’s pristine and pretty and makes her look even more angelic than she did before—he knows her size and everything?? the guy from pretty woman did that shit and it’s regarded as one of the best romance movies of all time.

not to even mention the panic attack. the stiles/lydia memories hit me like a fucking truck & i loved every second of it.

also! it’s kind of interesting how carmy thinks of claire in these romantic pictures, she herself is never really doing or saying anything; she’s just there (besides maybe her hair blowing in the wind). meanwhile, carmy thinks of syd in memories, in dialogue, in action. he thinks back to the beginning of her, when she first enters his life like a ray of sunshine, and i think that’s a way to acknowledge the way she’s added so much to his life in such a short amount of time. sydney is his rock! she keeps him grounded in a way not even this girl he’s been obsessed with (supposedly) for years can.

anyways, the narrative analysis aside—they look cute together, they act cute together, & i’ve seen romances built on far less than what seasons 1 and 2 have already propped up between/for them :3

i’ll start off by saying i don’t really ship most of these couples but thinking about it did have me come up with headcanons for it all so here we go:

hilarius & vipsania

to me, hilarius is absolutely gay. there’s just no getting around the fact that he’s a twink. however, i can absolutely picture a time before he was out and comfortable with his sexuality that he tried to date girls. so, vipsania and hilarius are like 11 and ‘dating’ each other- it doesn’t work at all and it’s a complete drama-filled disaster. vipsania makes it her mission to make hilarius as jealous as possible when they finally break up by dating androcles anderson and she doesn’t realize he’s jealous because he has a crush on androcles.

juno & io

i’ve never really thought about them together before. actually, i’ll admit a secret- i’ve never really thought that much about io in general. she’s probably one of my least favorite mentors (sorry everyone). but i think her and juno could be cute together! i could see them settling down after college and staying away from the politics and Coriolanus Snow Drama.

dennis & iphigenia

actually- i think they could be a cute couple! to me, i can’t picture iphigenia as anything other than sapphic. but i could picture them dating when they were young teenagers for a few years until she eventually breaks it off because she realizes she’s just not into men. my hc is they were together for like 3 years and he was super supportive about the issues she has with her father. they stayed close friends after they broke up and dennis is a supportive sweetheart.

this is one that for some reason i just can’t picture! maybe their parents sort of set them up and it led to a few awkward dates before they decided they were better as friends? oh, this one i can totally get behind! they would honestly be a power couple. they’re the wlw couple that everyone is slightly afraid of because they both have reputations for being mean. but anyone actually close to them knows that livia is actually a well-meaning person and that arachne is down bad for her.

hi! i'm the anon who asked for ur aegon and carl analysis. carl's one of my favs in the show and i find aegon an interesting character and most of that has to do with his relationship with alicent! basically thank u sm for taking the time to share ur thoughts! there's actually this one scene between carl and lori in early s2 that i found was similar (or will likely be in s2 of hotd) to aemond and alicent. it's lori being terrified of carl becoming cold (saying he'd also shoot sophia instead of having a normal response to what he's just had to see) i think alicent becomes scared of aemond once she sees he has no remorse for what he's done (killing luke, hurting rhaenyra, starting the full blown-out war) and it'll especially hurt her to reconcile who he is now with the child she loved and defended years before.

and YEAH i was actually thinking of that specific scene between lori & carl in season 2 as well - you can tell lori is disturbed and unsure of what to do but then the entire problem clearly slips from her mind as she’s got shane’s increasingly unhinged behavior to deal with, rick’s own behavior to deal with, and then the issue of not having food or shelter for most of her pregnancy. it’s possible she even thinks maybe carl is feeling better - we see in the opening of season 3 where carl finds dog food and brings it first to his mother to eat. he’s still a sweet, conscientious child who knows his mother needs nutrients and dog food IS packed full of the proteins and vegetables she needs - only for rick to angrily slap it out of their hands and carl to retreat from the situation. i think lori figures that this means carl is “fixed” but a) you can’t fix problems with empathy that easy b) carl not wanting to confront his father makes complete sense c) we don’t know how much (if anything) she’s been told of carl’s involvement with shane’s death OR with dale’s death, which are both weighing on carl heavily. it’s also like,,,, how do you even broach this topic when you never have privacy and you are NOT a child psychologist and have no access to anyone who would understand or help?

then, before lori can ever really figure out how to deal with the problem, her water is breaking and judith is coming out the wrong way and lori has no control over whether carl is the one to kill her or not. i get why maggie lets him do it but i don’t think it was the right decision here (not that maggie even knows what carl is struggling with, and maggie has her own mental health problems going on too) because it clearly has a negative effect on carl’s psyche. i mean this is a trauma he brings up after the prison burns, several seasons and like a full year later.

what’s great about carl is he seems to realize that he has been emotionally neglected by the adults around him - when he’s screaming at rick during season 4 i believe it is (honestly that entire arc post prison but pre terminus where everyone is just missing each other is the best stretch of the series to me, and carl/rick/michonne’s two parter is fantastic, best episodes in the series) he says that rick can’t do anything, rick failed to protect everyone, all of this is rick’s fault. and while there’s a lot of factors carl is purposefully glossing over, i think rick going from his level headed, soft spoken, gentle father to this monster of a man who gets physical with his family & murders uncle shane to the complete insane ghost hearing things makes carl feel god awful. it’s not to say hershel isn’t an excellent guardian but carl doesn’t want an excellent guardian he wants his father. so when all that resentment finally bubbles over when rick is injured and potentially dying, it allows carl the space he needs to a) relearn some fucking boundaries & empathy & emotional maturity and b) explain & understand the problems he and his father have been having connecting.

whereas with aemond, with aegon….they don’t have that clear eyed sight that the people responsible for their emotional dysfunction isn’t rhaenyra, or jace, it’s viserys, it’s otto, it’s (unfortunately, accidentally) alicent. and alicent….like okay i get SO MAD when people say lori wasn’t a good mom or a good wife because i think lori is handed just the worst hand of cards imaginable, and reacts imperfectly, but is trying at the end of the day and then dies before she can fix the problem. i don’t think she’s a bad wife or mother anymore than i think rick is a bad husband or father, they are just imperfect people in a horrific & violent world trying their best to survive it. i think they were ill suited as a couple, and in a normal world they could have just gotten a divorce and been excellent co parents but then rick gets shot and an apocalypse happens and there’s bigger issues than their failing marriage going on lmao. So i don’t want to come in hot being like “ALICENT IS A BAD MOTHER AND WIFE” because a) idc that she’s a bad wife lmao, viserys is a shit husband in both canons too and b) i mean….idk she IS a bad mother in many respects but some of it isn’t her fault and some of it is stuff that is a societal problem and some of it - like lori’s faults - are a human and overblown fear response to a scary situation, or irrational but internally consistent reactions to unique situations. not all or even most of it is her fault.

HOWEVER. i mean it’s right there - lori’s horror at carl saying he would shoot sophia vs alicent telling aegon he can slap aemond around at home if he likes. lori, as a woman in the modern day, recognizes that carl is having a very worrying trauma response to the unending hell of horror he’s been living through and tries, on her deathbed, to remind carl that there is goodness and sweetness inside of him but that it could disappear if he doesn’t nurture it. carl takes this advice to heart, despite his initial backslide. alicent, in a wildly different situation born into a culture that excuses and celebrates the strong harming the weak, just waves off the dangerous warning signs of her children until they’ve escalated in a way she doesn’t understand and can’t rationalize. i think if aegon throws a big party for aemond’s murder of lucerys - seems likely from the snippets we’ve gotten - THIS is her lori moment, her realization that her children don’t value life the way they should. but this realization is coming a decade too late. so while carl’s problems can be fixed much easier, aemond’s and aegon’s can’t and now she’s stuck with these two monsters for children that she just handed unlimited power to and has no idea how she fixes this unfixable situation. it would be like if hershel didn’t say anything about carl killing that kid, so carl got worse and worse until alexandria when someone FINALLY realizes what’s going on. but at that point, it’s all been learned again and again and it’s a lot harder to break the habit.

anyways YEAH i do expect alicent to have a similar story to lori’s motherhood story in season 2 - realizing you’ve done something wrong when it comes to the mental health of your child but not having the tools or language or time to fix the issue. the thing is for alicent, she doesn’t get to die and eject herself from the story, from the consequences; she is stuck watching this cycle repeat itself, watching her children eat themselves alive, until their memory swallows her whole.

AAAA tysm!! I would love to !! I love Gabrielle so much I have Thoughts. Tw v in-depth talk about gender dysphoria and excessive use of the word perceive 

With Gabrielle Anne Rice wrote the most accurate depiction of gender dysphoria I’ve ever come across in media. Of course there’s been portrayals of trans ppl and gender dysphoria that come from an educated and purposeful place, but with Gabrielle it’s so visceral that I find it more relatable and meaningful then any intentional trans representation I’ve ever seen. Because, Anne Rice didn’t write Gabrielle as a trans person, and yet she ended up creating a character perceived vastly as trans by readers just by projecting her own discomfort around femininity onto her. 

I’m thinking about the scene in tvl where Gabrielle cuts all her hair off her first night as a vampire and has a horrified meltdown when it grows back the next day. I was so shocked by this when I read it bcus I Felt That, and I couldn’t stop thinking, “did Anne Rice just write the most compelling and affective piece of trans horror I’ve ever read BY ACCIDENT?” Bcus,,, that feeling that no matter what u do with ur appearance you will never be seen as how you see urself in your head. You’re free now (vampirism in Gabs case), you can do anything u want with ur appearance, nobodies stopping u, but it doesn’t matter-bcus your hair is just going to grow back the next day. Any kind of euphoria induced alteration u make will just be undone. You’re trapped in your own body.

Gabrielle is a “woman” turned into a vampire at her frailest state, right before death, after a life of being forced into the role of wife and mother, and even tho she’s free of those expectations now, her body will always reflect that past. Isn’t that just the most literal embodiment of the fear gender dysphoria instills into you? That no matter where you are in your gender journey and how you perceive yourself everyone will just continue to perceive you the way they have in your past? Bcus damn, chilling. 

Not only that but the euphoria leading up to that scene, Gabrielle joyfully putting on men’s clothing and cutting her hair as Lestat watches her in bafflement. She tells him to not call her mother anymore, and that she rejects that role. Only to be smacked in the face by reality telling her she’s just going to look the way she always has, for eternity. AAA! It got me good.

And I think that Gabrielle’s perspective on what the vampire existence should be is very much colored by all this. Her lifestyle is so strikingly unique in comparison to all the other vampires. Gabrielle rejects society and civilization, and wants to spend her eternity away from humans and other vampires and find meaning in the wilderness. This comes from a place of already having lived a human lifetime and no longer finding interest in human relationships, but also, I believe the desire to not be Perceived. As a trans person I find the urge to go off into the woods and live like a creature oddly relatable. I think other trans and gnc ppl can relate, lol. I  desperately wanted to do this when I was a child and deeply unhappy with how I was perceived and treated as a little girl, but I’ve grown out of it now that I’m happy and confident in my gender presentation. 

Gabrielle unfortunately, may never get that. She can’t alter her appearance in anyway she finds satisfactory, and this is worsened by her community (the other vampires) who are very unhelpful when it comes to supporting how she wants to be perceived. They all just see her as Lestat’s Mom™️ despite her very vocal dislike of being seen as a maternal figure. (Then they have the audacity to bitch about how she is always absent lmao, like huh maybe she’d be more present and less cold if u mfs were more considerate 🙄)

In conclusion, Gabrielle trans masc real. I’m a lil scared about how the show will portray her bcus if they get it wrong I will be sooo disappointed. Side note it felt slightly weird referring to Gabs with she/her pronouns for this even tho those are what are used in the books, but whateves pronouns don’t = gender anyway. Leave ur Gabrielle gender and pronouns headcanons in the tags friends projection is encouraged actually.

merry christmas icha!! love ur new icon. fittingly enough, the stars aligned and i just went through the a very mankai christmas event! i think it's a nice touch the event wasn't actually on the day... but since it goes up to the 25th i thought it fitting to read through it now. i was very hype for the mixed troupe performances but i knew that tsuzuru would be in absolute hell the entire time. like not being able to contribute writing-wise would take a real toll on me. however i think despite that pain it would be SOO fun! one thing i feel very much is like when u meet people who are just starting out with like writing etc.? writing is very very reflective of the self i think. and u end up learning a lot about how people work when u see other people's creative output. but it would also be hell.

i guessed hisoka would be one of the main characters the moment he was like oh i have no. christmas ideas. and then the moment tsumugi was like oh sakuya do u have a christmas memory I remembered sakuyas family situation and when sakuya was like nah I gripped my chair like. sakuya hisoka event? sakuya hisoka event? AND THEN they both went … at the end of the scene so i did lose my mind. thats a veryyyyy fun duo i think in terms of thinking about dynamics. also the funniest thing is I actually put off this event for like a week bc this chapter in the event started with the like sad a3 flashback music and I was worried I couldn’t handle it like. what if it was hisoka and it like glitched or smthing like that bc he can’t flashback to anything. what if it was rly sad. but instead it was just juzas chocolate melting which is a tragedy but not one that will devastate me. oh also tsumugis story with tasuku is so sweet. i was like. wow. they were rly good friends. also i literally have a scene in my drafts somewhere where tasuku catches tsumugi before he trips. glad to see thats in character.

but sakuyaaaaa. i was rly expecting him to be the sort of basic "main character" of this game but i think a3 doesnt rly have that feeling? (probably helped massively by the fact that there's 4 different groups in the first place) anyways he is not boring to me at all. i feel like hes a little bit of a subtle character with a lot of interesting quirks? probably related to the whole. family situation hes got. but man. smthing about having to be good for christmas got me. and the way he feels guilty about lying and when he tells hisoka he had a bad experience hes quick to brush it off as not a big deal even though that's like. his big memory of christmas as a holiday. and it really feels like. honestly thinking abt how sakuya stuck to his lead role as romeo in act 1 i do think a lot about like. how sakuya probably feels he needs to act around other people and how he needs to be as a person. like does he ever think oh i'm not a good person. that's why no one likes me. that's why i never got christmas presents. sakuya i want to give you a very long hug. going to jump a little non-chronologically and say that hisoka getting him that cat plush was SO SWEET. i grabbed at my heart really it was so adorable. the way hisoka is so pleased abt it! it was nice to see that from hisoka too. like. hes not sweet always but when he is hes SWEET.

anyways back on chronology. when izumi went "im baking today since omi is busy!" my immediate response was to narrow my eyes thru the whole scene and then go "…you know how to make more than curry?" next the other team plays. as predicted the team tsuzuru was on (team a) was wild. they had a good time so good for them. what really makes me laugh is that apart from like team d with the mains of the event etc. i think team a may have been the only group to actually do a christmas theme. the sakyo and azuma thing was HILARIOUS. with the like soap opera relationship thing. azuma was the perfect person to play that lady kazumi... also!! sakyo mentioned thinking about doing mixed troupe plays in the future... thats a nice way to setup that since i do know it does happen later! so cool.

let's see the last things i had to say... oh right. hisoka Thoughts. he was so weird abt the snow he was like “snow…” TWICE. so i have to assume there's some memories associated with that. there was the ocean in winter's episode too right?? anyways. this goes next to my hisoka == december??? / chikage jacket? notes. i thought it was nice that it was sakuya who was with him when hisoka froze up on stage! like, i think he's probably the best person equipped to handle that kind of thing out of everyone. oh and also im not saying hisoka used his assassin stealth to sneak in a present in sakuyas stocking but im also not NOT saying that you know. i also have to wonder how citron's sleeping reflexes are considering my runaway prince theory... like either sleeps like the dead or super light sleeper i feel.

unrelated but during the party where homare is like "I ended up getting a little too intoxicated on life and wine" and then izumi said smthing that was basically like "homare u were just straight up crying" that made me laugh.

this was such a sweet event! it hit a good balance of being melancholy without being like too depressing, i think.

AAHH HELL YEAH!! MERRY CHRISTMAS KIRI!!! (and thank you for the nice comment on the icon <33)And this is such a perfect timing, i was thinking about this event all day yesterday which makes it perfect for a proper christmas mood.

I really love this event a lot, as a Hisoka and Sakuya enjoyer, as you can imagine. It was sooo good to me.

I do love how the event is spread out. most of the events actually are a bit like that, kinda fits with the fact events usually lasts about 10 days, so when the stories also take a long time it really feels like you're passing the days with them.

Tsuzuru's absolute nightmare was a highlight of this event for sure, it was so funny. Of course, also terrible to picture oneself into, but the whole thing was so fucking funny, he really was paired with the group of people that would give him the most headaches. Love Lady Luck on this one.

SAKUYA HISOKA EVENTTTTTT sobbing.

There were a few minichats that built up this duo before that which i always loved, which is that Sakuya often caught Hisoka sleeping in wild places and would cover him in blankets, and when Hisoka would complain he can't sleep in his room because Homare is being loud, Sakuya offered Hisoka to sleep into his bed in the meantime and Hisoka has been "i'm going to protect this kid with my LIFE" ever since, keep calling him a good boy from this point on already.

So when the event was specifically about Hisoka getting dedicated in making sure Sakuya was a good boy in a way Sakuya could get/that would override Sakuya's feelings that he wasn't one…. it felt very precious.

PUTTING OFF THE EVENT BC SAD MUSIC WHILE IT WAS ALL JUZA… THIS IS SO FUNNY HELPPP. Tsumu and Tasu's bit were really sweet yessss. and glad to see you also get them in character so well in your drafts on that.

And i agree completely about Sakuya!!! He's a bit of the posterchild of the app but it's especially because, as an orphan who feels like he constantly has to prove he has his place here, he makes for a great demonstration of the found family thematics of a3. But yeah i agee he's very subtle and interesting. It really strikes me that Sakuya has basically been raised into erasing himself, making himself as small and helpful as possible, not imposing himself, desperately trying to be good enough to be kept around. So when he's actually doing that in the story - rarely taking up the whole focus, apologizing for unconvegniancing anyone, not wanting to talk about the bad feelings of his past…. it really feels more like it's his habit of erasing himself in front of his neglecting family, than an idea that he's just a boring character who's good to be good. The whole thing about the "maybe i'm not a good boy" realization was devastating to me, because while it's such a childish thing, it's also obvious it carried on to his current age, and he definitely needed to hear that he was being good, but was never in a situation where he could actively express that he needed to hear that. That Hisoka made it his lifemission to make sure Sakuya knew he was good is so much to me. And yeah it is really interesting to put in comparaison to how he stuck to the Romeo's role. Sakuya kept repeating he'd be okay just being on the stage, but this was the one time, i think, that he allowed himself to be selfish. That he found something he wanted to be good at. Tsuzuru had written this role for him, laid all those hopes for him. And i feel like Sakuya was always so desperate to fill the expectations of his families, only to realize that those expectations was just for him to be as little of a problem as possible so he could be forgotten somewhere. While for once, he had an expectation on him that required him to be himself, and to bloom and grow as himself, and i think eventually, for once, to have this encouragement, really helped him for once to try to reclaim some place for himself. Meanwhile, yeah, i have no doubt there's a whole idea also of Sakuya thinking he's never going to be good enough, which is also why he is so eagger to try once someone give him a chance. But i want to give him a hug so bad too, my precious soon….

And really Hisoka's whole reaction to it was so soft. Like i said, already Hisoka just cares for Sakuya, but i also think like. Sakuya is a highly neglected kid, who basically erased himself for the sake of others. Hisoka, at this point in the story, has lived his memory loss as being erased from others's people lives as well, which was why he was so distant and aloof at the start, with no reason to try to connect to anyone. And i think it may play on how Hisoka just thinks that erasing yourself like that is just too much of a suffering that a sweet kid like Sakuya doesn't deserve.

I'm honestly just. so soft on "Hisoka: guardian of Sakuya's happiness". And the cat thing is so bites fist. Of course in the event they draw a direct comparaison to his role as the cat to the plushy, but it adds that there were a few backstages too where Sakuya kept comparing him to a cat. For instance, the Cheshire Cat's preparation N backstage had Sakuya basically decide "how to best act like a cat. I know. I'm going to learn from Hisoka.". It's like such a running joke between those two that i find it so sweet and gentle.

Back to chronology: listen you go "you know more than curry?" but she legit made them gingerbread. Gingerbread. That's still spices :sob: Girl still has a tunel vision, even if it's a little larger than usual.

For the other teams oh god yeah, it was such a mess. Tsuzuru suffering through puns. BUT YEAH, TRULY VERy CHRISTMASSY compared to the rest. They actually put an effort into it! Meanwhile Muku's team all on fanservice. Itaru and Tasuku being all "why are we doing this", meanwhile i can imagine yen signs in Sakyo's eyes as in "if it means the devoted fanbase invest in us, it's good. Do it again." Sakyo would totally exploit the fanservice there i swear. And the Sakyo/Azuma play was SO FUNNY it was SO DRAMATIC. And tbh with how much Azuma flits with Sakyo in backstages i have to believe it's Azuma who went "what if i play your lover ;D" while Sakyo is just "…. if it makes for a good play i'm in.".

BUT YEAH good set up for the mixed troupes, i love a3's build up.

Ok so obviously about the whole bit about Hisoka, i can't say much, despite wanting to say a lot, but well shoves fist in mouth i'm quiet. I love your thought process though. and yeah!! Sakuya being the one on stage really helped here. He's truly the king at improv to save his companions in time of troubles. I also still find it so touching that Sakuya went to check on Hisoka after the play because he caught on that something was going on, this kid is so perceptive.

and DLKFJD for the stealth HELP. And good question for Citron, that does raise question. Maybe Citron woke up to see it happen and realized it was for Sakuya to have a merry christmas and he closed his eyes back in solidarity. Or Hisoka's stealth is just that good! who knows!

It was really a sweet event! i really loved their dynamic and truly as someone who adores those two; those two lonely kids, i was so in love with this event. crying so hard thinking about it everytime. But yeah, it kept such a good balance of fun and sweet that the little angsts there was wasn't soulcrushing. I truly adore this event

ok. i have been Thinking about onyx’s relationships. and i’m pretty decided now that she’s gonna be poly, mostly bc she works so well with so many characters, and also they all look so cute together <3 but now i’m trying to figure the like. timeline of things??? and hoo boy

i’ll make the full timeline in a separate post, but i’ll sum up stuff real quick here. onyx was in love with trahearne, tragically that didn’t work out cuz he died rip. she’s real sad for a while, so she ignores the beginnings of some feelings for braham and caithe. after kralk, she and canach have a brief and casual fling, and then onyx ends up falling for jayrim while hanging out in elona. they eventually have to split up, especially with onyx having to leave elona and jayrim wanting/having to stay. during ibs, onyx’s old crush on braham pretty much punches her in the face. when he becomes primordus’ champ, onyx is SUPER worried about him. when she finds him alive after the fight, she gets rly emotional, like telling him how much she cares about him and stuff. she knows her feelings are more than a lil crush now, but refrains from making a move bc braham needs some time to recover (both physically and emotionally). in eod, caith and onyx have some real cute moments as aurene’s moms, i think jayrim pops up again with the corsairs here, and i really like the idea of onyx asking out braham after the engagement party. the big issue now though, is that i feel like caithe and onyx should have started dating after onyx and jayrim dated, but before onyx has her big Feelings Epiphany with braham at the end of ibs. that basically just leaves me with ibs as the timeframe, which is rough bc i don’t think caithe shows up during ibs at all?

ok. so. i’ve thought of two options rn. one: onyx meets up with caithe after leaving elona, and that’s when they start dating. two: they spend time together in the eye of the north and end up dating

this got. really long lol. so my rambling is below the cut! ur welcome lol. also if u just wanna see what i ended up going with, i put a silly lil diagram at the bottom o7

option one works, but i feel like onyx would have left elona bc of the start of ibs? like she leaves because she has to go to the charr rally thing. i guess maybe she could’ve still had time to swing by the grove and hang out with caithe? but idk. i could just make up some other reason that onyx had to leave, like maybe her family or something? ok, that has some promise!

option two feels a bit more possible to me, but i’m also not super sure how much caithe was at eotn during ibs. also, there was a lot of war stuff happening so idk if they would’ve had time for dating?

ok i’m kinda leaning towards option one now… like, onyx gets contacted by her family that they need her to come back for like a wedding, or to celebrate an achievement of one of her siblings? one’s trying to be a minister, one’s in the seraph, and another one is a priest, so any one of them could have done something cool enough to warrant onyx going back to see them. (also i promise i didn’t forget jasper, around this point in time he’d too busy partying to do anything worth onyx coming home for lol) so with onyx going back, she says that while it’ll be a long time, she’ll come back to elona afterwards! or, if jayrim wanted to… she could come with? and jayrim tells her that this has been great, and she loves onyx and all, but she can’t stop being a corsair. and onyx can’t stop being the commander. either way, this isn’t gonna work out forever, so… maybe it’s best if they end it now. and so they agree to break up but they’re both sad about it :(

so then maybe onyx and caithe starts as a kind of rebound thing? like they run into each other, and start hanging out. and hm! she’s feeling some things! onyx thinks back to their talks together as they took care of bb aurene, and now that she thinks about it, she might have had some feelings for caithe at the time? and these current weird feelings feel a lot like those?? wait has she been kinda in love with caithe this whole time??? and then they start dating :3c

also, i think onyx and caithe would talk about braham during or after ibs? bc like, i want onyx to be kinda freaking out over her feelings for braham, but i don’t want her to be kind of cheating on caithe :/ so maybe they have a convo early on about like, possibly being a poly/open relationship? i could see onyx thinking about this since she just had that whole thing with jayrim, so maybe at the time she’d be kinda hoping to get back together someday? either way, i feel like caithe would be pretty open to it, cuz i’m sure sylvari aren’t that monogamous. i feel like caithe would just want onyx to run it by her before she adds somebody yknow? and she’d run it by onyx if she liked anyone! tho i don’t think she would? i think caithe wouldn’t really be looking for another partner. like, i think caithe would like a monogamous relationship, but she’s also ok with a poly one, especially if they keep up good communication and that onyx doesn’t like, forget about her or something. yeah. i think that the idea they’d have for their relationship at first is that caith would be dating onyx, who would also be dating braham, and then also jayrim. but then caithe and jayrim would start dating eventually too :)

OH ALSO!!! i could always add yao…. bc im Love Them. and i could see them dating onyx and braham… oohhhhhhh that’s so cuteeeee….. lol and then the polycule is two triangles, which is kinda fun!

Hi kimi! I hope you are doing well. I just read the update and I don’t know how to feel about the chapter… I still don’t want oc to go back to him. I need her to find herself again and take the time to heal. I know it’s been a while know since he left, but I really need her to heal before she decides to be with him or not. I also don’t know how to feel about this chapter because it seems like it’s trying to justify his actions. I don’t know I just really don’t want them together because he left her scarred and I guess since I’m a stubborn person I think if I were oc, I would flat out tell him no and to leave me alone. I don’t know why I feel this way about him. And I’m just surprised about how he wants to propose to her in the future. Like the audacity? I know he said it’s not anytime soon, but the fact that he thinks that he can just come and pick up where they left off irritates me. AND WITH AN ARROGANT ATTITUDE?! I think this might be the reason why I don’t like the idea of them getting back together. If he came with humility and talked to her about why he upped and left, it would have been different. It would not make things so confusing and difficult for oc. And I wouldn’t be so irritated with him lol. I want oc to focus on herself and grow. Namjoon is willing to wait for her, but I rather he just leaves her alone. I hope my feedback doesn’t discourage you. I just want to let you know my thoughts about the chapter. But I always believe that the story is the authors and no one else’s and that no one should send hate with how the story is going. no, ur opinion doesn’t discourage me or anything,, the ending has been decided since the very start heheheh. it took almost a year for me to push the storyline out and write it and i love how it turned out.

i think ur thots are really valid as the essence of the art of war truly is all abt how far can you push love until it is no longer love. how love evolves to familiarity, challenges, and even ego. how messy love can look—something like a monet painting. pretty from a far, messy up close.

i think oc and nam joon both have a lot of growing to do. i think their history makes nam joon confident of the future and makes oc nervous because she was the one who loves deeply. beginning their story towards the end of her hurting and the beginning of nam joon’s regret was all intentional. writing the scene where nam joon finally cries, it states that nam joon doesn’t rlly know how to act,, he jus knows he wants oc. it doesn’t excuse his behaviour, but it explains it. nam joon and oc’s characters are intentionally vague,, in a sense where u aren’t supposed to know every detail of their relationship but rather the greyness of their existence to one another. they love each other, but they also hurt one another a lot. it’s also because they’ve known each other their entire lives,, how are u supposed to unlove them one day? oc struggles with this and nam joon attempts to navigate thru his mess. if u notice, none of the characters LOVE the idea of the two getting back together, but none of them are completely against it either. more will obviously be revealed in part 4 🫣

writing the art of war is the kind of story i hope readers get irritated and feel sorry for the characters in whatever way possible because it’s not supposed to be a “yes they should end up together” or “they need to break up rn” moment,, it’s more about how the writing and deliverance makes you feel something. do u feel the slow burn? do u feel oc’s sense of identity loss and nam joon’s desperation? considering your thoughts, i think i’m on the right path :)

Random association is Doctor Who! If you are familiar with the show you might have guessed I got Romana Rose from two characters in the show. This song makes me think of Rose and the doctor “how the faces of love keep changing” regeneration anyone? “I have changed but you remain ageless” !!!!! Stevie, sweetie, you sure you aren’t a whovian?

But! I also think of my first love. When I tell you it was a BAD time, he ditched me at prom for another girl, tried to date ky friends, wouldn’t date me, but I couldn’t date anyone else. We were mutually terrible to each other (he was worse, but I still sucked) but there was also so, so much love. There was a deep connection between us that can’t be severed. I don’t generally believe that bad stuff is meant to be, I don’t believe my assaults were to reach me something. But him? We were in each other’s lives for a reason. I learned a lot from him that made me who I am, I know he learned a lot from me too. We were drawn to each “then I knew in the crystalline knowledge of you” idk if I could ever explain what that line means, but if you have felt it, you know.

Although sang by Lindsay buckingham, it was written by Stevie nicks (a rarity in Fleetwood Mac. Usually they sang their own songs) but Stevie wrote it for Lindsay. If you know anything about the lore behind this band, you’ll know they did not stay together. But I believe relationships and friendships are about more than forever. There’s things that happen, beautiful things, that you learn about yourself and the world, and when you are kindred souls, there’s a connection that cannot be severed.

He'll plan trips on sea where you guys usually spend weeks in, playing chess, chasing each other around the ship, and him teaching you how to steer the ship, cooking together (which ends up with him burning the food so u have to start over again. not like he's doing it on purpose or anything *wink wink*). OMG ALSO. Reading a book together, taking turns reading per chapter. Cuddlesssss. LOTS. Especially in breaks. In the couch, ur bed, the lounge area. This man will try to spend every break of his spending his time w you.

— whether you’re thin or plus sized, short or tall, whatever race you are, he loves you. he goes into extra simp-mode whenever you smile bc he just loves seeing u happy, most specifically whenever he pulls out that smirk of his and whenever he tells you a joke or whispers an insult to you abt one of the guards. He's also in love w your personality and how shockingly kind you are, sarcasm, how understanding and empathetic you are, how easily you make someone feel at ease. but, at the same time knowing that you have the ability to kill someone with your eyes closed makes him a lil giggly too.

C omfort - How would they help their s/o when they feel down/have a panic attack etc.?

— you had gotten pretty used to a queen's life, but things do have the ability to get overwhelming. like, you feel all that “it feels like i can’t breathe” crap, and he knows it too. so he showers u w kisses, gives u rest, cuddles, and voluntarily does ur work for u.

if someone disrespects u—now this is a different story. he might be a respectful man and is humble when someone disrespects him, but if people fail to give his queen the respect that he expects, then he might as well kill them. you would do the same when it comes to him.

D reams - How do they picture their future with their s/o?

— he’s a family man. he wants to marry you so bad, give you all the treasures of the world that exists. whenever he sees you playing w kids or making them laugh, he absolutely melts. while he feels insecure over the possibility of disappointing your children and raising them wrong, and most of all disappointing you, you couldn’t disagree more. seeing him worried abt it shows how much he cares, and that was enough proof.

E qual - Are they the dominant one in the relationship, or rather passive?

— i kind of see you as the dominant one. i mean, ofc, ur not controlling him or anything. he just likes feeling like he isn’t the one in charge all of the time. but overall, it’s equal. plus, he is a SIMP for stubborn and independent women like u.

F ight - Would they be easy to forgive their s/o? How are they fighting?

— yeah, he would forgive you no matter what u did. he’s the kind to not go to sleep mad at you, so he would make you two talk abt it. not that he’s pushing you, it’s just it’s more better that way, especially since he wants to take ur relationship seriously and sees this as a mature thing. those nights would usually consist of awkward silence but nonetheless, one of u guys give in and apologize.

G ratitude - How grateful are they in general? Are they aware of what their s/o is doing for them?

— as most of u know, nikolai wasn’t the favorite child. he barely got anything, especially love and affection. until u. u loved him endlessly and he finds himself feeling chosen for once, even teary eyed sometimes, when he’s with you. he didn’t think that was possible. and in response, he will throw u fetes, gift u an abundant amount of jewels and presents, and even names things after you. 

he points at the bushes like a child. “oh look, love, flowers!” 

u giggle. “i see them. they’re beautiful.”

“not as beautiful as my lovely, lovely Y/N” he gushed and kissed you. “i shall name them after you nonetheless.”

and would even go as far as naming stars, events, fetes, jewelry, gems, even your own children (which u refuse) after you.

H onesty - Do they have secrets they hide from their s/o? Or do they share everything?

—a BIG BOLD NO for keeping secrets from each other. you tell each other everything, no matter how embarrassing, which usually comes with a lot of teasing. so, yes, you both share everything.

I nspiration - Did their s/o change them somehow, or the other way around? Like trying out new things or helped them overcome personal problems?

—ur kind of an uptight person ngl. being a former general and having Ravka as ur responsibility—u refused to sleep. however, nikolai lantsov did not like seeing u like this, and u learned from him that sometimes u have to take breaks and have fun every once in a while.

J ealousy - Do they get jealous easily? How do they deal with it?

—hell yes he wants to be Mr. Lantsov-L/N. this time, he does do something extravagantly. he knew ur favorite part of the palace was the gardens, but u LOVED his ship. so on the morning u were on ur way back home from a vacation on the ship, he decorated the ship w flowers, woke u up and led u outside. he knelt down with the ring and had a big speech with tears flooding his view. u were crying too and in fact, u couldn’t stop.

“y/n, love, i need some sort of answer besides ur sobs.” he sniffed.

—he supports u a lot. he spends Ravka’s money just to help sponsor charities u host. he’s ur biggest supporter and ur his.

OC Lore... from their playlists?

WELP time to expose what’s going on up in my ocs’ heads.

The way I structure my playlists for my ocs is like.... making the top 3 songs the ones I feel says basically everything about them and then the rest just solidifies what the first couple of songs establish.

Of course like. 3 songs is pretty limiting and ALL the songs have some meaning, but I try to order the playlist in a way that either expresses their journey or somewhat categorized together based on the songs’ vibes - but it is pretty loose.

I know literally no one but me will ever get the core vibes for any given oc just from a couple of song bc I’m the only one who has the whole context for each character lol but lemme try and give you an idea by explaining a few playlists and songs and inevitably tell you more about my ocs than they’d share :3

Putting it under a cut but I’m gonna talk about Keith, Cass, Roger, NEMESIS and KILLJOYE’s playlists.

[KEITH’S PLAYLIST]

Keith’s playlist mainly consists of electronic and synth tunes with no/little vocals, so I feel like they’re the hardest to get a distinct read on for anyone but me - THAT SAID even I have trouble understanding their vibes. This makes a lot of sense considering Keith is my attempt at putting a face on my own unintelligible stuffed down emotions lol Like c’mon Keith you’re supposed to help me understand, not clam up and put a lock on the door I tried to open :/ we’ll get there eventually tho lmao

ANYWAY

the first 3 songs says basically what I’ve already shared about them here, the tunes and their titles go hand in hand.

The first one is, as you can see, called the same as their name. It is a coincidence, I did not name them Keith bc of this song lol but the vibes..... for me, it’s about Keith and Kqo’twec’s relationship with each other - and just the swirling emotions from being bonded and how that progresses throughout their journey. The sound is pretty consistent and steady starting out, but then increases in intensity, somewhat overwhelming -  and then it calms down again and feels like the swirling emotions have settled and more digestible and Keith and Kqo’twec are better in sync with each other.

The next two are basically just summing up the fact Kqo’twec chose to bond with Keith, saving them from bleeding to death by themself in a ditch lol

Resurrection does have some vocals, saying “wavering emotions | surpressed desires | live” which. Yeah.

I’m not gonna attempt to explain every top 3 songs in detail or else this will get REALLY long. But also it’s really hard to explain tunes that have no lyrics you can dissect. Those are just vibes u gotta feel in ur ears and judge for yourself.

[CASS’ PLAYLIST]

Anyway, first song. That’s just about Getting Some.

This does not clear anything up, most of the songs on her playlist is about sex LMAO

Cass is a tall, beefy, hot and sexy lesbian who gets laid consistently so like. Yeah. She just loves herself a lot and also she loves women so might as well combine that :p

The second song tho. Oof. 180 turn on the vibes.

That is from the perspective of her Dragon Parasite. I can’t be too specific, but she got a modified Dragon Parasite, which essentially means the Parasite has been put in an artificial coma and Cass gets its attributes without having to deal with it bonding with it yeah?

And modified major parasites aren’t legal or available to the public because they’re way more likely to be resistant to modification and generally are pretty dangerous to the host because of the risk of an Unstable Bond occuring, but Cass wasn’t told about the actual high risks it might pose to get a modified major parasite (not to mention it being a Dragon Parasite those bitches are already complicated compared to other major parasites) + she didn’t really care because she was so self-absorbed to change her appearance she gambled on this parasite to be The Answer To Her Problems, yeah?

And the nature of a bond between a host and parasite essentially comes down to mutual respect, and understanding of each other to be able to cooperate and maintain a good bond especially with a major parasite that is your life buddy so you need to communicate and compromise so you both thrive, yeah?? You will need to get real intimate and personal with a major parasite to bond. Parasites become a part of you so you will have to let them inside for them to understand you and vice versa?

Do you see the problem here??? Anyway, pressing F for Cass, she had this coming. Actions have consequences but at least she’s hot now so. Worth?

THIRD SONG. This is in the same vein as the first song but more about... secretive desires. There’s no love involved here.

[ROGER’S PLAYLIST]

CARROT BOY MY BELOVED!!!! 🥕💚

Absolute ray of sunshine, he’s just so fun and energetic and able to befriend almost anyone :] #good vibes

However none of my oc playlists are about how they come off to other people and present themselves, I want to see all the messy, knotted and tangled up wires underneath >:)

FIRST SONG.... This also doubles as how I imagine Roger’s voice sounds, so that’s dope This is just mostly about doubts - about himself, the future and those around him. iidk what else to say tbh I just feel like you’ll have to listen for yourself lol

The second song... basically just kind of the vibes for how he deals with things whether that being about the past or present.

Third song. I enjoy the like... eerie vibe the melody gives. Do you have any idea of how often Roger is holding onto his will to live by hairstrand? well I mean, probably not, I hardly touch this aspect of him on my blog, y’all mostly get the same amount of Roger as he presents to most people.

Roger is such a hot mess emotionally I literally don’t even know how to summarize it. But the next playlist might give some insight!

[NEMESIS’ PLAYLIST]

If you aren’t aware, NEMESIS is Roger from 3+ years from the present (Roger is 24) so Roger from his teens to early twenties.

Roger used they/them pronouns back then as NEMESIS and I’m gonna be switching between the pronouns depending on what I’m talking about lol

NEMESIS is the name Roger preferred, being his alias online for the music he made as well. NEMESIS’ playlist is both vibes for their feelings and the music they wanted to make. I say wanted to because they didn’t have the proper equipment to make more than melodies. But I mean, it’s the same thing, they wanted to vent out their feelings, but wasn’t able to - so it all just stayed on the inside.

So the 3 songs...

Well. I don’t really need to talk about them specifically, I can just say their whole playlist is just.

Angry.

So angry.

Frustrated. Aggressive.

Hopeless.

So fucking angry over things they couldn’t control and it just festered into deep self-hate because all of it just bottled up with no place to go.

Obviously, things did change a lot for the better into the present and we have Roger now :] You can bet that he is absolutely supressing all those feelings from the past tho. Never learned any other way to deal with it :( He just learned how to carry himself in a different way.

[KILLJOYE’S PLAYLIST]

KJ’s playlist is an absolute trainwreck of weird vibes. Just like them <3

FIRST SONG. This is from their early days when I first made them as a funny little slasher guy and I can’t get myself to remove it from the top. However, the vibes are still very relevant.

Obsessive and violent themes are prevalent through their playlist.

What goes on in their head is very fast paced, plagued with obsessive intrusive thoughts and compulsions. This is a big factor in their behavior, being loud and eccentric to both distract themself and anyone else from what’s going on. The last two should be obvious. KJ is a Freak. and they also wear Pink (like a freak)

Other vibes in their playlist are like about the weird shit they’re into. They’re a Certified Freak
