the article looks long at first glance, but the overwhelming majority of it is dialogue + there’s loads of images. it flies by but itll leave you with an impression. itll make you laugh. itll make you feel shockingly emotionally crushed. itll leave you satisfied. its a humorous article that takes itself seriously. it’s part of a canon if you want more, but it’s fully, completely standalone if you don’t.

oh you dont like him? well surprise! theres two other plotlines in the article to follow! scp 7000 is a story about a global breakdown of coherent probability. wettle is a vitally important perspective on that, but not the only one. the second plotline is about dr dan (the guy from scp 096) and his quest to figure out what is going on with this anomaly. the third plotline is about the O5s and the chaos insurgency’s attempt to gain control over it. despite the appearance of complexity, the whole story is actually quite easy to grasp and in the end its so simple and im trying SO HARD not to spoil it all over the place. but it is a really investing story that you should vote for

you really have to read it. and once you read it, you’ll say “wow, that was really an investing story,” and you’ll vote scp 7000.

here's a quick rundown on astarion: gay vampire spawn (not a vampire. like a demo version vampire. a "lesser" one but don't let him hear that) who has been kept for 200 years by his master as a slave. guy (who was an actual vampire) carved him up, tortured him and forced him to lure victims into his manor. astarion has been abused in so many ways i'd hit some sort of character limit if i listed half of them. he was only allowed to feet on rats and small vermin in the sewers. poor little meow meow astarion is now free due to [game story] reasons and seeks power and revenge -- he's an edgy fuck with a lot of swag and no moral compass. bro is a menace and loves causing problems on purpose. [slight spoiler] he will literally try to suck some of your blood like a day or two after you meet him and unless you succeed a skill check he'll just keep doing it until you die. if you resurrect yourself afterwards he'll go like "ooooh ooopsie sowwy! i wouldn't kill you if i knew you'll be back teehee can we forget about this? ;) <3 don't fucking kill me". he's such a good fucking whumpee you don't even know. it's insane. i don't want to ramble but he's almost everything i've ever wanted from a character like this in a large scale rpg. [slightly bigger spoiler] despite being the go-to "fuckable" character who everyone finds hot as hell (both in-universe and online) he's HORRIBLY traumatized by his sexual experiences from when he used to be a slave and when you romance him a good portion of his storyline revolves around trying to make him realize that he's more than just a slab of very attractive meat. he hides his feelings behind a facade of "evil tumblr sexyman-esque" mannierisms and getting to finally peel it back and see him for the poor wet cat that he is is so fucking satisfying. [an even bigger spoiler] i loved watching him cry when he finally gets to confront his former master. pristine content. there's so much more to his character (and this game in general) but if you ever need to justify spending full price on a new videogame release, there's nothing better than bg3. if i could choose one game to beam directly into the brain of each whumpblr user, it'd be this one.

blorbo (favorite character, character I think about the most) - i didnt care about hal jordan at all until i was told that he was sky crazy. i had just seen come from away so any character that Just Wants To Fly is immediately my beloved. anyway then i shotgunned a bunch of green lantern comics and found out that theyre all deranged. love them all! but especially hal.

scrunkly (my “baby”, character that gives me cuteness aggression, character that is So Shaped) - again Hal Time. i could probably make a collage of every time he gets grabbed like the damsel from king kong. spiritually he is making a squeaky toy noise every time.

LOVE THIS BITCH. dc wanted to reboot GL and get a new boy, so how do we get hal out of the picture? destroy his city and make him go full wandavision trying to recreate it and all the people that died! the guardians say no, so he snaps and murders them, as well as like....all the other lanterns on his way to doing that. crushed by his failure to protect his people, he decides the world is fucked and the only way to fix it is to start it over. cue zero hour, where he very nearly managed to reset the entire universe! the death toll was ENORMOUS! he got shot through the heart by his best bud oliver queen before he could finish it though. this triggers ollie's depression arc WHICH IS A WHOLE OTHER THING,,, anyway. well he got shot but he got better because he's hopped up on ultimate cosmic power and whatnot. the 90s comics continue while he is moping in outer space until a sun eater almost destroys the earth, so he comes back and throws himself into the sun to reignite it, dying for realsies this time. and on top of all that the CHANEL THIGH HIGH BOOTS? THE CAPE? iconic. later all this was retconned to be because he was possessed by a yandere space worm that was in love with him. which is also hilarious. someone deworm this man. after he died he became spectre for a while, until kyle rayner dragged his corpse out of the sun and he got to be a lantern again.

eeby deeby (character I would send to superhell) - he already went to hell like, twice. once it was with superman. they had a great boys night out. vaguely related but i think sinestro once went through an orpheus and eurydice-esque journey into the underworld and/or spectre hal's subconscious?? and then also one time he and sinestro shared a ring and ended up yeeted to the Death Dimension together. sinestro got himself out so hal had to fling himself off a cliff and Fall To His Death to solve this problem. you can put a lot of icarus flavour into this guy

i have no specific beef with vegeta in cannon and in fact i think he's kind of funny and kind of interesting (sometimes) but speaking purely as a mascot for his fans well. i played amnesia: rebirth and i really liked it and have some Thoughts(tm):

non-spoilery:

- once again mad respect to frictional games for being the only people who arent afraid of nudity. no censorship underwear.

-theres a non-spook mode for if you hate being chased by stuff

- diversity win! this guy who's the most pathetic little meow meow is gay!

- i didn't have to look up any walkthroughs!

-i tried it with both spooks on and spook off and having spooks on is better. embrace the spook.

-game has some pretty visuals and a neat story, and while i wish choices throughout the game mattered, there are different endings. p good game.

- shadow seems like a manifestation of all the pain inflicted on the other world, like its the opposite of the vitae. could b wrong but thats just my onion.

Opinions on characters(that actually speak more than like. 3 words.):

Hank- hands down best dude. total bro, i just wish he didn't die by being hanged by the cable when you use the elevator. that was a bit. mm. tasteless? tone deaf? maybe dont hang one of the two black characters frictional games??

Alex- *insert second diversity win joke about rich buisnessman having the saddest most pathetic little meow meow as a boyfriend*

Richard- quality representation for us useless gays. terrified little meow meow. on a more serious note, i clocked him and alex from the first photo, and im glad tasi confirms that they're in a relationship, and that when you find richard, he's calling out for alex. i really hoped that you'd be able to stop tasi by struggling, but not so. i think it would have made for a neat thing if you had a choice with both him and the doc.

Dr. Metzier - speaking of the doc, i did not see him stealing the baby coming. he's such a jerk for blaming tasi, "oh you'd put the lives of all of us behind that of your child" like no my dude. if someone locked you in a room and said they were going to start shooting people if you didn't give them your baby, you wouldn't be the one responsible for the people being shot.

Leon- might be the only person from the Cassandra to survive? ik he looses his hand but he's still alive after. thats gotta suck, bc he's stuck in the catacombs/hunting grounds with all the other harvesters, so he's probably going to loose himself. i feel bad for him even though he's Pretty Dang Racist, bc he didn't do or say anything outright until after being harvesterized, so i think that had things gone normally and everyone got to the gold mine ok, he might have been able to Stop Being So Racist.

Tasi- legit didn't touch the laudnum after i realized she was pregnant, only to discover there was no effect on her. she's a nice lady, sucks that the empress decided she wanted tasi's baby. "hold x to check in on your baby" is something im going to say now.

Salim- aww cute husband shame he's fuckin dead. i wasn't expecting to find him alive but i still got real sad when i did find him. i like the details that tell you your marriage licence got denied and the photo saying 'how about we do anyways'

Yasmin- even as a harvester she's friend shaped. even puts her leg in a bear trap bc she doesn't want to hurt tasi. 10/10 yasmin is best friend in this game

Empress Tihana - i don't believe for a second she really meant any of what she said about saving tasi from the desert because a, she's the one who brought down the plane, b, she's sustained by endless torturing and claims she's not a monster, so forgive me if i dont think she's being honest. c, the major hazards of this particular area of the desert are her harvesters, actually. the entire crew of the cassandra, the french fort, the village, all those people are dead because she wanted someone else's baby. love her design tho very cool.

3) dylan being the technical 8th kid after sleeper... like lets just say sleeper is the “first child” in this situation bcs thats the only kid where eddie and symby finally stepped up to becoming actual parents to one of their kids and they were “overbearing as hell”, and now theyre just free-balling with the youngest child (dylan) now. it’s kind of funny if it weren’t for the fact sleeper isnt being treated like symby AND eddie’s kid anymore.

i hope sleeper talks abt their exp being raised by eddie and symby at some point i think itd be a funny contrast to give dylan a look at how eddie (and symby) did their parenting before dylan came into the picture. Like “i was kept in a fish tank and smothered with attention” , *dylan vc* “how does it feel, living MY dream (sans the fishtank part)” i also hope now that dylan will interact w the lifo symbiotes w the knowledge hes eddie’s son, that theres a werid family feud situation. lets gooo daddy issues lets goooo. think of it like this sleeper> dylan > lifo and carnage

final thoughts ig, i just didnt really feel much. its only issue 1 so i wasnt expecting to get blown away but it just sort of left me scratching my head. its just sort of jarring where i just finished rereading stuff like web of venom: good sons and then the costa run + first host, and im going into this issue... like i think the parenting stuff is rlly the only thing sticking in my head atm. ill probably reread frm the start when we get to issue #4 which is what im mostly anticipating (bcs im expecting to see flash, andi and or bren cameo). 

we dont get to see much on dylan and symby’s dynamic which sucks, bcs thats what i was mostly lookin gout fr in this issue. we do get some more sleeper and dylan interactions which im always happy fr tho! its... a little underwhelming though, actually super underwhelming. sleeper kind of just follows dylan around and its, fine i guess? but i just expected more quips or interjections frm sleeper.

im honestly more interested in dylan’s side of the story which surprised me like i really have 0 care left fr eddie now. which sucks bcs he endeared me sm as a character, but at least currently, he’s sort of just a husk. 

anyway my theory on the whole “dylan and symby not getting along” that keeps being teased im sure itll just be dylan’s rage “infecting” the symbiote all over again or bcs dylan decided to bond with it despite eddie’s warnings its going to go thru that thing the ringo symbiote which is just. unfortunate. im so tired.

There's something really funny and impressive about the fact Belial's been upstaged in terms of being awful for the previous age rating by a human. Then again, I guess this probably had happened already with Lobelia. Personally I think Cygames should just throw caution to the wind and put Lobelia and Ferdinand into the same event just to feed on people's morbid curiosity.

DLKFJDLKFFD RIGHT. My bet is, they accidentally made Belial a little too pathetic so he enters poor little meow meow territory. For the one described as the worst, i feel like they just realized they got away with it and tried to see what they could do worse and escalate from there.

I don’t know how Belial managed to avoid the censors for so long considering EVERYONE knew of him. He’s the most popular fucker for a reason. Or perhaps they thought his crimes were at least isolated enough to not banish the whole game in -18 land? while the more they add in the fucked up gang the more we have to accept that this is our land. (and truly any events after Belial has just been testing just how far they can go in gore and horror, Belial was the floodgate to -18 and here we are now.)

Lobelia is DEFINITELY UP THERE in the fucked up gang, but i think contrary to the other two, he's more stealthy because grinding for the Evokers is a nightmare i'm sure anyone reviewing the Apple Store can decide to ignore. (the only fact the game wasn't raised to -18 when the Lobelia skin, which involves a very explicit and long recording of a woman screaming as she's eaten by a shark, which ends up something you can hear just by accidentally clicking on Lobelia if you have him set on the homescreen, caused such a scandal when it came out. Tho it does show that Lobelia's horrors were a little more gated because it's a miracle this didn't raise the ratings back then.)

Meanwhile Ferdinand was living stealthily in Tikoh's FE for a while, but i think the fact he showed off everything of his horrors AND MORE to any casual readers in Marionette Stars could easily have been the last straw.

Have done so for the past 10 years of playing this game. They are my babies. I will raise them well.

I really love all of the companions even though I hate the companions history. I feel like characters like Athis and Ria don't get enough love compared to more popular ones like the twins and Aela. Ria is like the nicest person to you when join! Shes still learning and likes hanging out with Vilkas! Shes nice! And Athis is the only elf unless you play an elf character. Which opens up a lot of cool dynamic stuff about his own experiences in the companions and how your presence could change things!

love them both and i think the reason they stayed as my faves - rather than adora and glimmer, who i also love to bits - is because they chose to do bad things for selfish reasons, but those selfish reasons aren't exactly invalid; they had to find a way to stand up for themselves, for their personhood, and it's those same characteristics which lead them to save the day in the final season, where that unwavering individuality is the strongest weapon against Prime. they will face a lot of challenges after the end of the show, especially if they have to deal with more judgemental people, and are by far the most interesting characters to follow in almost any post-canon fic (which i may or may not have spent the past day binging). i dunno, there is a certain grey complexity here.

i dont even know. the fandom is on point with what characters it loves. though maybe not with who it hates? mermista and perfuma are probably the most hated side characters, but they're well-written and they have a bad rep in fandom. mermista is a sappy, nerdy girl who hides her affections under a mask of indifference, with only one ep where she acts like an asshole under extreme pressure - it gives her a lot in common with catra. perfuma is surprisingly complex considering what little screentime she has, i do wish they did more with her anger issues though.

wrong hordak is the best (he adds layers to season 5 that complete it where without him it would be far messier and more dissatisfying). swift wind also improves more as the series goes on so i dont hate him anymore.

emily the robot. i love her. the way she helps scorpia is sublime. there is a scene in the finale where she's rolling in the fields with swift wind and melog.

absolutely hordak. he’s not nearly as controversial as, say, gamzee makara, but he’s a dubious guy for sure. i fucking Love hordak’s journey to finding his individuality, to finding himself, even if the real hordak is a gothic grumpy villain. he uses this power to defy Prime and save his first true friend.

perfuma. i still kind of resent that leash gag and how it was used twice. what the fuck, she ra crew? it should not have made the cut, you do not do that ever to a disabled person!!!! perfuma’s so intolerant, though she tries hard not to show it. so if perfuma has a short and intolerant fuse im gonna push it to its limits. maybe she will finally explode and we can fight about it and she will grow up a little bit. i want to see how shed fare in a fight anyway.  after perfuma it’s definitely glimmer. god bless.
