Two episodes ago, my heart was breaking for you, because you had to make a really difficult choice. But now you’re just being stupid and making the wrong choice.

I mean, Sure, you’ve been making stupid choices since episode 1, because you’re young and inexperienced, so it’s not really out of character… but… you literally told everyone (your mom, your brother, your girlfriend who’s now your ex, and Callie herself that there was nothing going on between you and Callie.

But now there is?!

Whyyyyyy?

1. You just broke up with your girlfriend.

2. You know and agreed to the rule that foster siblings cannot and should not and will not date each other.

And 3. There just hasn’t been enough chemistry yet. (Every experience they’ve shared, every bond they’ve made could have been totally platonic, like hmm I don’t know, brothers and sisters?! or at the very least just friends.)

It’s the fifth episode. The FIFTH episode. And you were literally dating someone else the episode before, and you did nothing to strengthen that relationship when you noticed her jealousy for Callie. You acted like you were going to, and then dropped the ball every. single. time. Talya had no right to read Callie’s journal or to be so mean to her, but she also wasn’t wrong about being jealous. You prioritized Callie instead of your girlfriend over and over. Talya was CLEARLY worried about your closeness with Callie, and you did NOTHING to fix it. In fact, you made it worse. Callie tried to partner with someone else at Mariana’s quinceañera and instead of taking that as a hint and trying to show Talya she had nothing to worry about, you danced with Callie anyway. In front of Talya!

Like… my guy.

She may have been a villain, but she was not the antagonist here. You ruined your own relationship.

And now you’re trying to pursue a relationship with your foster sister.

Even though she doesn’t want one with you!

Mutual attraction or not aside… This was not how you should have responded to Callie’s disaster of a date with Wyatt.

You don’t get upset at her for dating Wyatt, you get upset about her date with Wyatt involving the cops! You tell her, “I told you he wasn’t a good guy and that you should be careful!”

That was the obvious choice for the dialogue. It was set-up perfectly.

But no. He tells her he doesn’t want her to date anyone else and gazes deeply into her eyes…

And after she tells him the edited version of her bad (horrific) experience with Liam, he just says “I’m not like him…”

Stupid, stupid, stupid. Selfish, clueless, reckless, thoughtless, careless, RIDICULOUS.

I’m mad at Brandon the character but I’m also mad at the writers. Because this was way too soon, both in the show and in the character’s lives, and it was just unrealistic and unnecessary. They’re barely friends yet. Let them bond more. Let Callie’s walls come down more.

And for goodness gracious sakes, THINK more, Brandon.

Even if you look at this without the Buddie goggles, it’s stupid as fuck. For 5/6 seasons both these characters have been developing and finding things out about themselves. In 6b both of them have been having difficult conversations and they’ve been developing themselves even more. And then you have the audacity to undo all this development and have them end up with women who we’ve seen for maybe 5 minutes in the last 2/3 episodes?!?!!
