From on person relatively new to working retail to another: What shoes do you have to wear to work? Poor arch support can cause back pain, especially when standing in place for hours. If you can wear sneakers I would recommend finding a pair with good arch support that you find comfortable. If you can’t do that look into insoles, they might help.
im able to wear any closed shoes. right now im wearing a pair of addidas running sneakers but theyre crazy worn in. one week in march i decided to walk everyday and i walked 50 miles and they never recovered. ive been trying to rebuy that exact pair but i think theyre discontinued!! every time i see em online theyre only on clearance and they never have my size. i def need to go to a shoe store soon and get a whole new pair.

i really really really underestimated how much retail would kill my back. i could have the rudest customer ever and just laugh about it but standing for this long everyday is absolutely fucking killing me.
