My partner just made me feel the best I have about my looks in so long I swear to god. They said a while ago that they like me better when I have a clean shave... and I've been telling myself I was gonna do it, but I just get soooo lazy about shaving so I'd been avoidant. But I finally did it, like a full close and clean shave, and they IMMEDIATELY GASSED ME UP SO MUUUCHHHh. They told me that it helps me look so much more andro, that they love the way I look, they made me blush and smile. Story time! I once had a teacher who refuses to use those pronouns because they’re “not grammatically correct” like wtf. Yes they are.

“Oh no! Someone dropped THEIR wallet, I should turn it into the authorities so the cops can get THEIR wallet back to THEM.”

The dumbest part about that is that the teacher who claimed this was an English teacher. And he was my favorite teacher, too! As a nonbinary person myself, I was very quick to stop giving him the most respect out of all my teachers.

I made this out of the rage I felt from seeing transphobic, butchphobic and enbyphobic comments in my tl.

Being a lesbian is part of my identity too and I refuse to let other people tell me I am not a lesbian just because I don't fit their binary perception of things. It's so sad to see other lesbians shitting on butches and gender non-conforming or non-binary lesbians.

But hey, we are here and we're not going anywhere, I am not going anywhere. I've always been a loud lesbian and I'll always be.

One of these days I'll be boarding a plane headed out west to meet my partner. They'll ask for pictures from the sky, and I'll be telling them how scared I am of heights when the real nerves aren't from takeoff. I'll update my love every step of the way, from the moment the cabin WiFi turns on, to the tiniest bit of turbulence and the moment I'm back on solid ground. Someday, I'll be driving through unfamiliar streets listening to the GPS and humming along to music we've been sharing with each other for years. Then I'll be outside. Then we'll have our first hug, our first hand hold, make our first awkward small talk and hopefully I'll make them laugh in person for the first time. We'll be studying all the ways that our faces are different from the selfies, and I'll drink in the way the light strikes their eyes.
