Day 3/100: Maundy Thursday 🍷

Today has not been 'productive' academically speaking. I did, however, do a lot outside of the course bubble! I spent half the day making food for tomorrow's Seder catch-up, then sang Anglican mass for Maundy Tuesday with my friends. The weather is lovely these days, I thoroughly enjoy going out, especially to outdoor bars. What an irreplaceable feeling! It's just such a bummer that the weather was not spectacular the whole term, and now that it just got better, I am a week from finishing the academic year.

Bought myself a very cute top at Oxfam (first image), and sat in the university's rose garden with my chorister friends as the sun went down (second image). Both are true highlights! Generally, I've been feeling so hopeful and joyous lately, in love with the world...

There's a weird Oriental-esque building on campus that doesn't match the rest of the architectural structures. I wonder why! I'll need to research that a bit someday. Truly out of context, but also so gorgeous.

Productiveness doesn't have to be academic. Sometimes it is just singing Holy Mass and socialising after. :)

Day 2/100: Chag Pesach Sameach! 🥚

Hey friends! Tonight is the start of Pesach, a 12-day celebratory period remembering the Jewish Exodus from Egypt. Tonight is the celebration of Seder, a ritual feast marking the beginning of the holiday. I am not celebrating it today, as my Jewish friends and I are doing it -- delayed due to venue unavailability -- on Friday (which means a lot of preparation for me tomorrow as I am one of the hosts...)! So exciting! It is also Holy Week, a period of Christian holy days, starting from Palm Sunday (last Sunday) and ending with Easter Sunday, with Maundy Thursday and Holy Friday in between. What an exciting time! And so busy too... I am performing a few concerts this weekend(ish) so that's something to look forward to. ⭐️

Today, I worked on my lectures, one of which was recorded -- something that so unpleasantly reminded me of the plague times -- about Islamic art, more precisely the Fal-Nama and representations of the Qur'anic story of Adam and Eve. I thought it was a very interesting lecture, and the Fal-Nama presented in it were gorgeous. Might share them on my page later!

I also have been thinking about several very awkward and quite daring emails I will have to send to my professors soon enough... I totally dread that, but oh, what won't I do for a chance at academic wish fulfilment! Speaking of emails, my prof approved my theological question! I think I'll share it with you once I've submitted the essay, so you can let me know what you think!

I also returned some books I have 'borrowed' from someone (aka took them from a pile laying around in a room at my uni) only to find out the owner has collected their other books back! I sincerely hope they come back to look for their missing books because otherwise, it's just a silly situation (and 4 books randomly left laying on the floor).

I'm in one of those weird moods where I think people dislike me on principle. I think I just need to sleep more and figure out the meal schedule once and for all. Yikes. ☹️
