For some reason, this remix take just reminds me of Welcome Home in some way. I don't know if it's just the beats I used, or some of the nostalgic sounding synth instruments like the Synth Bell, but I ran along with the idea in my head as I listened.

Funny enough as I was playing this, I had this little video idea that I can mix some elements of the song and WH as a mini story to make up just for fun cause I like making up stories. Though sadly, I only drew it as an illustration instead, since I didn't really have as much time making a while animatic of it.

So if you're willing to see what I can come up with that as a start, let me know. I'd love to add Rose and Gizmo onto that little adventure as I'm so hooked onto that series since, along with other series related in some way that combine wholesomeness and horror aspects!

Building on my Xie Lian is basically bugs bunny post, more evidence of him being essentially a trickster god. Feel free to add more.

His communication array password is a prank/trick

He regularly serves food he knows will poison his Friends and Guests. Essentially serving up laxatives, if you will.

Just the fact that he is a god pretending to be his own priest honestly

Pretending he doesn't recognize Nan Feng/Fu Yao and then talking shit about them to their face

Doing the same fucking thing to Hua Cheng when he's pretending to be Lang Ying (less shit talking, but he does mess with him).

Acting all Serious like he's gonna fight LQQ and then just tripping him with Ruoye lol

The I AM GOD flying meatball incident

Dressing up as a lady bugs bunny style so he can hide.

And dressing up as both a bride and a pregnant woman to lure two different ghosts also lol

Tormenting the Venerable of Empty Words (kind of a 'I'm not trapped with you, you're trapped with me' thing)

He's the only one who can actually rile up Qi Rong

Pretending to be HC's puppet to hide among the ghosts

I just love that because he avoids fighting unless he has to, his solution is usually to dress up and lie all the time. No wonder Hua Cheng is in love he's honestly so funny.

One detail I've noticed is that Wukong's outfit is different before and after Tripitaka places the circlet on him (and Wukong was notably unwilling to be chained):

Which is distinctly different than every other iteration of this scene we've been shown:

Other retellings of this moment have Wukong kneeling in servitude...when the reality is he was kneeling after being subdued—continuing lmk's tradition of biased/false narratives (like what was done with the multiple explanations of the samadhi fire). I think it's interesting to see the ways in which Wukong's past was made easier to swallow as time went on (or if you were Azure and didn't want to believe that Wukong had been changed by his journey lol)

Out of the Batfam, Jason is one of the most atrocious liars. He can make it work when he absolutely has to, but usually I think whenever he lies he does with little motivation and with emphasis on irony to make it funny for himself. In comparison Dick is a phenomenal liar and can sell outrage so well before hanging up and reverting to normal that Jason sprays him with holy water and never believes a word out of his mouth.
