hey heavy. thanks for the coffee and sandwich.
i guess i haven’t been feeling too good lately. i forget to take care of myself emotionally and i wind up real sad.
i’m a trans guy, and a lot of people i know, i can’t tell them that. it sucks having to hide. i hate it.
it’s a little foolish, but i honestly wish i was one of you guys. i even named myself scout. you all are so cool, and strong, and you’ve got a team and a purpose. i’m just sort of drifting. feels like it, anyway.
man, i bet you give the most wonderful hugs.
thanks for being here. there aren’t a lot of people i can talk to about this sorta stuff, ya know?
(i didn’t expect to, but i cried actual tears reading your post. thank you.) <3
Ello new scout comrade,
You are vvelcome for food and drink. We all have things to say, you just need the friendz. Everything will be alright.
*head pats*
(Mod here, I'm non binary in a conservative family, so I totally feel you bro.)

Can I get some comfort? I posted this to a local queer Facebook group to derision from an admin and a user. They act like I am a traitor to the community for even consider doing this for my safety in a private sector of my life...
For those people who need to hear it, there is nothing wrong with going back into the closet for your own safety. You aren't less queer because you can't be queer publicly. You aren't less trans because you have to act like you're not trans.
If you need to start going by your old pronouns or quietly go back into the closet to be safe - you are allowed to do that. Please do that if it means you're alive.
Your safety is important.
You are important.
And if you know someone who has to do this, don't push them. Don't out them. Follow their lead. People's safety is more important that grandstanding.

Conscious Connection Spree
Where would you go on a shopping spree? Embarking on a shopping spree for me is an adventure that goes beyond the usual consumer hotspots; it’s a quest through spaces that champion creativity, sustainability, and human expression. Independent bookstores are my starting point, where each book is a portal to diverse narratives and overlooked voices. These treasures challenge norms and embrace the…

Love this. Thank you so much for posting it.
My 90yr old Irish Catholic grandpa doesn’t miss with my gender. He’s never gotten my name wrong, or my pronouns, never even faltered over it.
It’s all so natural too: son, big man, young man…
We’ve never talked about it. He’s the only one who hasn’t pushed for details. He just accepted it and carried on because it’s not a huge deal.
It’s so comforting.

Today is trans remembrance day. For all our fallen trans brothers, sisters, and siblings, we keep going today. Know that you have a place in this world. You belong here because this world is yours just as much as anyone else's. You are wanted, loved, and appreciated, whether it be by your closest friends, or by a stranger online. There is at least one person on this planet who genuinely cares about what happens to you, whether or not you know it. Your life matters, and I'm so proud of you for still being here, despite the countless hardships you've faced. Please, keep going today. I believe in you. I support you. I'm proud of you.

1,179 suicides today. 2,114 yesterday after the election (source). please check in on your friends and loved ones, even online friends. check in on them even if they seem happy and okay. if you’re considering attempting, don’t. I know this world is fucked up, especially right now, but for what it’s worth, the fact you are still alive means you’re a fighter and a survivor. you’ve made it this far and if no one else tells you, I am proud of you for being alive. it takes fucking strength and courage, and look at you still being here. give yourself some credit because you are so much stronger than you think. yes, everything fucking sucks right now. but you will get through it even if it doesn’t look like it right now. it will eventually get better. I really truly believe that, no matter how hopeless or cruel things are right now. I truly believe you will survive and will get to genuinely be happy and truly safe. just please hang in there.
