Idk why the whole “we need new marauders fancast. It’s old. They’re old. We need diversity” is a big thing right now. Now hear me out rq before you gauge at me. I’m not saying don’t have your fancast. I’m not saying not to fancast whoever tf you want. Have your diversity. Shit I be stealing a lot of your face claims and headcannons. Make them queer. I love the idea of Slytherin skittles I’m all fucking for that.

But- do not attack people because they like the old fancast. Or that’s what they’re used too. Those original five. Ben, Andrew, Aaron, Dane, and Sophie. Those five could’ve been like home to these people. Finding the marauders fandom and reading these new stories and falling in love with these new characters. Could’ve welcomed someone when they needed it.

So- bashing people. For not changing face claims. Which may I remind you are a personal preference!! Some people want rieky some people want atj. Some people want Dane some want Lewis. Some people want want to keep they’re original characters. Some want to spread their horizons and get more diversity. And you need to let them do that.

But also the people doing that need to not force their opinions down people throat. Some people want to ship jegulus some don’t. Dont make them. Don’t throw the “that’s clearly canon” in their faces. Stop bashing people for liking jily. And that Marlene and Sirius ship (weird but yk. Period. Be unique.)

these are the people i've found who most match how i see the characters in my head and who i typically use for edits and stuff. they're not perfect tbh but they're far closer than the popular ones to what i imagine them to look like (i hate all the popular ones rip)

sirius: i've used gabriel marques in the past (great hair) but recently I've converted to young steve winwood like this image is just sirius to me:

james. james is very difficult for me, i've never found anyone who I 100% like for him. the closest is timur simakov especially in this pic but his hair is obv the wrong colour and no glasses pics. :( the glasses are what make jameses difficult to find

Remus: luke newberry. idk why this isn't the MOST popular remus fancast. he was cast to play teddy. he's got the lupin vibes. lots of material, gay material even, for tiktoks or whatever the kids make these days. everyone is too cowardly to let remus be average but still cute in his own way

Peter: Thomas Turgoose I'm very attached to this one (also don't get why its not more popular)

Lily: I typically use Ciara Baxendale. Right hair + eye colour (u cant see her eyes here but trust me), and idk has just sort of a vibe? i can see her being from the mids. I recently saw someone suggest Hannah Dodd and I like her too

Another joins Yaz, Graham, and Kate Lethbridge-Stewart in a secret tunnel system, where she is reunited with her TARDIS. The three Doctors and her companions work together to defeat the Grand Serpent, the Sontarans, the Ravagers, and the Flux to save the universe and time itself. A physical manifestation of time warns the Doctor that her regeneration is looming. The Doctor chooses not to restore her stolen memories, and takes off with Yaz and Dan.

142: Into the Dalek - Season 8, Episode 2: The Doctor brings Clara to a space station in the future where they are treating a "good" Dalek, who has seen the error of the Daleks ways and seeks to destroy all other Daleks. In order to treat it, the Doctor, Clara, and some soldiers must shrink down and enter the Dalek's casing, where they fight off Dalek antibodies. The Doctor and Clara are still getting used to the Doctor's newest incarnation and his lack of empathy and morality at some points. They find what is wrong with the Dalek, a radiation leak causing the Dalek's change in morality. They accidentally fix it, restoring the Dalek to it's former self and it begins to attack the crew of the space station.
