I just finished Beneath a Big Blue Sky, and I had to run here and tell you how it filled my heart. It was completely uplifting to read your words as they so wonderfully described a summer in the country: the changing of the season; the light on the fell; the sounds of the quiet (which is never truly quiet). And to witness as Sirius falls in love with it all too? I'm jealous of him! It was fab start to finish - thank you for sharing it with us!

So I must confess that the sheep at Beech Hall Farm are a bit of a nebulous, undefined mix - obviously I’m most used to seeing Swaledales which are so cute and lovely but black Swaledales are incredibly rare and I needed something that a) lambs a bit later, b) usually just has the one lamb and c) could realistically bring in An Amount of money with their wool - so a certain amount of imagination is required…

Fully support the theory that they’re Herdwicks though.

Every social platform on the internet is trying to banish sex workers to the shadow realm but I can't post a tweet without at least two bots replying P U S S Y I N B I O. People are self-censoring sex to seggs and $3× but every other ad you see is still filled with half-naked women. Rightwingers want queer people arrested for so much as existing in the same postal code as a child and are also drumming up a moral panic about how teenage boys aren't getting laid enough. I feel like I'm losing my mind.
