one thing i will always be mad at sp for is not including any of the moments where sasuke. just. blushes. he has fair share of moments of blushing, whether it be because he's flustered or embarrassed or any other reason.

ch. 4 – he's flustered because sakura openly expressed her crush on him

ch. 18 – here he is blushing again in the cover art

ch. 19 – he's embarrassed to ask for help so there he goes, blushing.

ch. 34 – naruto and sasuke blushing at each other.

ch. 56 – even in sakura's memory, she remembers him blushing.

ch. 675 – even in kakashi's memories, he remembers to be blushing lmao.

i think the real reason why the removal of his blushing moments annoyed me is because despite all his trauma, cold & stoic demeanor and dark past which forced him to grow up early, he was still a child. he was still a twelve year old and small moments where he's simply with team 7, bickering with naruto or getting flustered actually reminds us he's still a child at his core. a child who was forced to grow up. or how the formation of this team and forming bonds with other people, especially naruto gave him a space to act his age, something which he didn't get to do since the uchiha massacre.

anyways, it's canon that genin sasuke is a blushing child. pass it one. here's another manga cover where he's flustered. what a dork.

A special day for a special person 0723...

Sasuke reading and staying in bed in the lazy morning. Naruto sleeping in and cuddling with him tightly by instinct. Sasuke probably laughs it off, thinking about the years Naruto has spent looking for him, catching up to him, desperate to have him back. Now, here he is, still holding him tightly. They are right though, old habits die hard.

<I am still basing on blank period era and I envision Sasuke would bring scrolls with him to read (those he gathered during his journey or even those he made himself). So he is definitely an early riser. And Naruto def will sleep in lol (but in my HC Naruto tends to sleep in whenever Sasuke is at home).

There is a question in twitter about how will Sasuke spend his birthday. This is my answer. People are already celebrating his birthday but my time is a day late.

That's a pretty useful description of how chakra works, and not really one I see portrayed? Though tbf that could also just be the series retconning it.

But from Ebisu's explanation it looks like what Sakura's really outstanding at is building chakra (that is, mixing her spiritual and physical energies together in the right amount), since Sasuke and Naruto are inferior to her in that regard. Her chakra control (putting the correct amount of chakra into a jutsu) is perfect too, but so is Sasuke's, so that's not unique. Also, Naruto's issue is putting too little chakra into his jutsus, not too much, and what he has in abundance is stamina, not chakra, so he'd also be freakishly energetic at taijutsu.

with how shitty his childhood was and how many barriers i headcanon that it created for him, i think being in the place of a parent would destroy the final doubts about how bad naruto's childhood was.

something about about the breaking of cycles: something about naruto having a child and that child not having to budget at four or starve, about that child not being *alone*, about that child being so so loved by their huge family. something about that child growing taller than naruto, because naruto was malnourished and they are not. something about naruto having his kid come up to him asking for help and be knocked on his ass by the trust he has been given: how this child has no doubts about naruto's care and love. something about how this child will never ever truly understand the sheer... emptiness that sometimes lingers on naruto, how they will never get why simple things like ramen together or shikamaru's hand on his shoulder or sasuke silently picking out the tomatoes out of naruto's take out makes naruto tear up.

how naruto will watch his child not understand and be so so glad. (some things are not meant to be known. this is one of them.)

i still haven't read boruto or even watched the movie but one of the things i knew about the new gen was that sarada wanted to be hokage and it has always bugged me bc i've always assumed she knew about what happened to the uchihas etc., but yesterday a friend of mine told me that she doesn't know anything about her clan's history?? about the massacre?? and i get that it's a heavy topic to discuss with a 12 yo (and that it's likely that sakura doesn't know the truth lmao) but still... she has no clue of what happened?? no one (outside of her family) ever mentioned anything to her (it's a genuine question)?? no one ever alluded to it?? does she know at least that Sasuke had a brother??

and another shocking thing this friend told me is that sarada awakened the sharingan when she was really young because of the pain caused by sasuke's absence. and as i was looking up stuff about her i read that she learnt what the sharingan was only when she reawakened it again years later?? no one ever told her that the uchihas had a kekkei genkai??? like... wtf
