And he travels everywhere to do this, always on the move for the first ten years of naruto’s life

But then when Naruto’s ten they find themselves in the land of clouds, and end up stumbling accross bee. Kakashi’s ready to fight (and die fighting) when the eight tails tell’s bee that he sense’s the nine tails in the kid, and Bee realizes this silver haired dude is just trying to keep a jonchuriki safe

And he can respect that. It’s a goal for him, after all

Which is how Kakashi ends up becoming friends with Bee, a very reluctant (at first) A, Darui, and frenamies with Cee :)

Without the sharingan most Uchiha are just ‘regular jonin’ as well. It’s almost like it’s a super special blood line ability that only select people get to have and Kishi powered it up to such ridiculous levels that few other powers/abilities could stand up to it by the end of the show

Also way to prove you’re dumb cuz Kakashi would still be a Kage ranked Shinobi. If he didn’t have the sharingan holding him back for 20 years he’d probably be even stronger tbh

But while Gai has Lee as his adopted son, Kakashi actually ends up with adopted Daughter Sakura who is treated like a princess and knows her weird big bro/dad would kill for her

One of the reason’s i like kakashi is because even when he falls to the ‘gatta be handed a power/trick to kick ass’ bs Kishi does, he also has a draw back to it

Like sure he has the sharingan but he’s not just using it freely with no reprecautions. Improper or over use could straight up kill him

Meanwhile other characters are just handed power ups/hax without any draw back

Itachi somehow has a sword that can seal souls and a mirror that can deflect moves

90% of jiraiya’s power derives from his summons

The main characters are constantly handed power ups (though except for the six paths power up, they do usually have to put in some work)

And Kakashi’s over her with this special eye that drains his chakra constantly, and he still learns to use it to a level that impresses even highly skilled uchiha.

Gai, who is stubborn and will fight every monster at its full strength, STRUGGLES against the trick master

He even gets hints that maybe putting out the stove fire will help, but will he? No

He is determined to defeat it at its full strength to prove that he is stronger

And he does…. After a very long and difficult battle

This boy will be sleeping for the next five days and he earned that rest

Book #36 of 2025:

Book #36 was a long project story. I’ve been reading it to kiddo for months now (one chapter a night with a lot of missed nights) and it was a lot of fun. Adds depth to Belle’s story, and her eventual feelings for the beast. I really like that it doesn’t push them into falling in love right away, but lets them build up to a nice friendship slowly.
