Anybody else creeped out when friends of their parents (50+ yr olds) come up out of the blue and say “Man, if I was 20 yrs younger” or something along those lines, as if it’s a compliment? Like you, a middle aged/old man, just came up to a 22 yr old in front of her mother and essentially said you were sexually attracted to them. In public. Yet my Mom’s standing there like it’s just a cute folksy thing to say.

you actually have to take a class on rory gilmore and write an extensive thesis paper on the value of her character arc centering on making juvenile mistakes because she’s a young woman coming into her own for the first time and she’s not a saint or a demon but somewhere in between because she’s a complex person with flaws and positive qualities! yeah and once you pass the class you get a certificate and that’s when you’re allowed to talk about rory gilmore

it wasn't the first time this week he'd called on her and, if one didn't know the youngest lord ryland any better, such an action could be mistaken as some sort of intention to take their relationship further. of course, he had no such intention. though if that was what she had begun to believe, well.... who was he to deny himself the adoration of a woman in love? he entered the sitting room after his introduction, head bowing in lieu of a hello. "i hope you don't mind me visiting so soon after the last... i was just so curious to hear your thoughts on that book i lent you." a book max himself hadn't read, mind you, but it had seemed like something that would interest her and this stage was all about indulging a young woman's interests.

literally any public discourse about what a 19 year old girl should or shouldn't have said to the violent misogynist sex trafficking serial abuser 2x her age who was harassing her is stupid I got so mad opening the news and immediately being bombarded w thinkpieces about how shes a hero or problematic or everything inbetween like none of that is news...

some of you know that i don't like tiktok n it has many reasons but i have had a rant brewing in regards to it for a while and it's definitely extremely prevalent on tiktok
it is not your place to judge people's relationships, even the toxic ones
i know we all go like "yeah duhh" but i want you to actually take in what i'm saying. it's not your place. just because they exist in an age where things can be found online, doesn't mean it's your place. people are allowed to have the human experience. people are allowed to fall in love with the wrong people, and people are allowed to have toxic experiences and people are allowed to be stupid and make mistakes, even public ones
definitely if the person in question is a young woman. like genuinely, i think there is nothing more disrespectful and ironically, anti woman than determining for some young woman that she shouldn't be in a relationship with some older dude. it's not up to you. yea maybe she's making a mistake and will regret in in 3 years, and so fucking what? that's life. young women are able to choose, for themselves, even if the choice is stupid.
billy dating that goofy fucking dude and getting so much shit for it bc what? she whose wrong? yea, i'm pretty sure she made a conscious choice, so stop. she'll survive her mistake. trying to keep young women from experiencing life, even the bad parts of life, isn't doing anyone a fucking favor. its just dismissive of the fact that they can make their own choices for fuck sake.
some nineteen year old ending up married to her high school teacher because they wanted to, getting called out because it's weird and creepy? they're living their lives. who are you to criticize random people? even if it is weird. even if it is true. it's not your fucking place.
a thirty year old woman married to a seventy year old guy and they are living their life and existing in a space where people can see it, but now suddenly it has to be called out bc that's toxic and gross. ok, it's also not your fucking relationship. stop butting in where you're not asked. it is so unbelievably disrespectful and honestly, i'm sick of seeing it. everyone needs to keep their nose in their own business
the easy access of drama on tiktok has made everyone believe that everything is drama that you should stick your nose into. it's not. other people's lives and mistakes shouldn't be your entertainment. young women making bad choices for themselves isn't a hill you need to die on. you aren't being an ally. you aren't being a feminist. you aren't being appropriate.
it isn't your place. it isn't your place. i'm sick of it

do you ever think about the people who mailed in letters for the first x-force and cable runs about badly wanting to see more of domino because she was unsympathetic and cold and competent. and then that first solo dropped and she sounded like this and this seems to be what 70% of the people writing her have been going off of to this day

The way people are hating on Rachel Zegler is so weird to me. Like you all will let other celebrities get away with everything, but god forbid she give her opinion about a movie (which she wasn't wrong about) and make a joke that she only took a certain role because she needed a job. There are people saying and doing things that are actually harming others, but some of you draw the line at Rachel Zegler having an opinion and making a joke. Honestly, with the way people are reacting you'd think she had killed someone. I've also seen people who are genuinely refusing to say her name and only referring to her as "that actress". You guys are seriously overreacting and I'm being 100% serious when I say I'm about to start fistfighting all of you for her.

dreams relationship with his dad is actually really comforting and inspiring to me. like he's talked about how it was strained when he was younger and even has that tweet about thinking he didn't love him but now he's showing these sweet texts and he's clearly super close to his family. it may be parasocial of me but it really makes me believe that I could get there with my mum one day.
When Dream talked years ago about rebuilding his relationship with him mom I really took those words to heart. And I began to understand her. She is my mama and I love her soo much while still understanding she abused me and my brother for years and at some point I just had to understand she is never going to apologize for it I just need to decide if I can live with it. And I can cause her new husband has really changed her for the better. And I see a woman worth knowing and loving and Dream really inspired me to reach out and try. So I say he shared these things with us on some level for this exact reason. So just know that anonie and go forward with it

Insane that Blade during Todd's quest did basically the same thing Dan Heng was doing during this last video
#Fragments and scraps#I talk too much#I had just finished Todd's quest and I had so many questions and hypotheses and then the video dropped#And goodness it gave me even more things to ponder but I also think it kind of cleared things up when it came to what was Blade mourning#I also wondered whether this came after Kafka's companion mission but now I'm pretty sure it comes before it? I think it makes sense#Seeing confirmation of Yingxing being old looking was so hard to watch whilst compared to how young Jing Yuan sounds in Chinese#And when seeing him alongside Jingliu and Baiheng‚ who were both mature women when he was a little kid#No wonder he is so prideful of his craft. He deserves it. I really adore how they implemented a lot of details in the worldbuilding#and sidequests that throw light towards the characterisation and story of some of the main characters#Specifically I can't stop thinking about Yingxing in the context of how we see shortlife humans are regarded by some people on the Xianzhou#and especially in the context of the sidequest about the master and the apprentice. Everything it implies#Anyway... This video broke me. The confrontation between Dan Heng and Dan Feng was hard enough#(guy leave the boy alone‚ *he* has nothing to repent of) as well as beautiful. Some shots were gorgeous and full of symbolism#But seeing the five friends... goodness. Yingxing's bitter smile carries a weight that I think goes beyond him losing to Jingliu#given his age and how young his friends look. The way Jing Yuan reacts as if having the braincell but also teasing them was so him#The way his voice broke later on while reading Imbibitor Lunae's punishment took me out#Baiheng reminded me a bit of March 7th in this video. It may be due to how March reacts to Dan Heng's melancholic air towards the end#And how Baiheng reacts to Imbibitor Lunae's and Yingxing's at the beginning. I don't know if the parallelism was purposeful but I loved it#They all felt actually a lot closer than I expected. Mainly Jingliu. I expected her to be close only to Baiheng given what Jing Yuan says#The images that flash over the sentence were so good and so heartbreaking#Yingxing looking at the figure over the moon‚ his chest being pierced by the sword Blade now wields‚#Jingliu blindfolded slicing something‚ someone suspended in chains‚...#And the heavy absence in those images of Jing Yuan‚ whose breaking voice hovers over them all#Truly brought back to mind Blade's line about him. How he knew better than anyone but he did or said nothing#And how he is not one of those who must pay#Everything was so charged I wanted to scream or jump off a cliff. The way the faces of Dan Heng and Dan Feng superimpose ugh#Truly everything was so good#I have so many thoughts about it I can't stop thinking hahaha#But I better shut up already. I should sleep a bit#I want to scream though. The Dan Heng/Blade parallelism makes me want to drown a sea‚ ontological barriers be damned haha

hi I don’t think basing your entire view of white men on one dumbass is a productive thing to do. Personally this whole identity politics thing is not just reductive to the experiences huge cross section of coloured people especially women, but also to “white people”. Brits and different from Europeans who are different from Australians who are different from Americans. Not to mention how these groups are themselves incredibly diverse. Women of colour get shafted in a lot of places even by their own communities, sometimes especially by their own communities. They surely also get orientalised and fetishised by “white” people. However telling young women of colour things like “they don’t want to be seen with us” or “they don’t want to take us back home” just plays into the comfort of identity politics and screws their opinion of inter racial or inter national relationships, which very much should be the norm. Not to mention assumes white people are a monolith or that the term “white” is in any capacity appropriate to group people. White is a concept. Anyway I’m sorry Chris Evans has such a reductive view of WOCs. But super imposing Hollywood, especially American media, on the world is not only misguided but only going to screw up how we approach people which cultural differences in romantic contexts, and propagates the idea that “white culture” exists the way it does in America all over the world. “White” is not a thing. It’s a concept based on exclusion.
bestie i just woke up…
i didn’t say anything wrong, it was MY experience not based on him but how it reminded me of how white boys IN REAL LIFE have acted with me and countless of my friends… or did you completely skip that part?
i refuse to be gaslit lmfao all i did was state my opinion in my tags of my personal experiences and how i don’t agree with the jamal thing. i don’t need you coming here with your university thesis and fancy wording trying to act all superior and condescending and accusing me of something you KNOW wasn’t my intention.
