All of Us Strangers (2023) dir. Andrew Haigh
I've been thinking about you a whole heap today. Was thinking about watching crappy TV with you on a Friday night. Eating take-away on your sofa. Watching old episodes of Top of the Pops from before I was born. Thought about something else, too.

"You alright?" "Yeah, yeah. Just haven't done this... I haven't done this in a while, I have to remember to breathe."

Spoiler for All Of Us Strangers!
When I was still in the theatre during the last two scenes of the film trying to find an interpretation that makes the ending less cruel and devastating (that meansy that Harry is not, doesn't have to be dead), this was what I came up with:
(Disclaimer: Intellectually I know this doesn't make 100% sense with all the other hints we get for the typical interpretation, and is not what was intended, but I still think this is a valid interpretation and interesting to think about from a metaphorical point.)
When Adam opens the door and is shocked by the smell and the state of Harry's flat, he sees all those signs of depression and other mental health problems. What he finds in the bedroom is a representation of that mental illness, maybe a warning sign of what could happen. When he comes out again and meets the familiar version of Harry in the living room, Harry says, that he didn't want Adam to see him like this (like this = depressed, not taking care of himself). He asks, if he is in that bedroom, but Adam reassures him, that he is not, that he is with him (whatever is in the bedroom represents his mental illness, Adam reassures Harry that he is not his mental illness, but so much more, and that he is there for him). So, Harry is not dead, he was real the entire time, just hiding how bad he really was. Adam finally sees his real state when he walks into his flat, but he accepts Harry as he is, doesn't shame or blame him for the mess in his flat etc., but tells him that he is here for him, to help take care of him.
