(Suggested by u/KingstonDaGamer10) On The fourth day The Swamp Slaughterer had found that Kignston(u/KingstonDaGamer10's oc) had wandered on her home, Bacamean Swamp, and she was unsure what to do with him, as he wasn't a threat to her Swamp, but she worries letting him go will send the message that just anybody could come to her island. If you want me to draw your oc or pretty any fictional character interacting with one of my, just give me the word and it will be drawn by the end of the month. This is the first time I've drawn The Swamp Slaughterer since her debut over a year ago, the reason it took so long for her get a second artwork is because her scales on her armor are annoying to draw.

The mission was supposed to be easy. Supposed to.

No one told him about the bodyguard with the fast reflexes. No one warned him about the other man with a familiar scent that made his inner tiger want to come out and tear the other individual to shreds in a complete and utter display of supremacy and power. The mission was supposed to be easy. Deal with the security, kill the mark, get out. Just another assassination mission like so many others. Tip a domino piece to make the entire thing crumble down to dust and ruins. It was fucking supposed to be easy… but it was not. There was someone else there. Someone his handlers didn’t account for.

The scent was familiar �� nothing like a mutt or a reptile – but something of the feline variety as well. Something that made the beast that dwelled inside his mind to want to lash out and take on the other man in a full frontal assault. It would be suicide and Kevin wasn’t in the mood to lose a life in a pointless confrontation with another cat. Instead, bullets flew. Holes on the walls, furniture broke, the sparks that came from the clash of knives and the sound of fists hitting flesh like a sledgehammer bringing down a wall. Yet they were matched. Bullet for bullet. Knife for knife – punch for punch.

And that was fucking annoying.

“Be a good little boy and go jerk off someone will you?” Kevin licked his lips as he hid behind a wall, seeking to reload his gun as fast as he could. The bruise on his cheek was pretty much healed by now and the slight pain on his bones from punching the other man was fading into the background. Of all the fucking things to have as a bodyguard, the mark had to have a damn cat. Where did they find him? At the local zoo? “I just want your boss. You don’t need to end with your balls in a jar for protecting a lobbyist that only wants money. He doesn’t care about you.” Or maybe he did – Kevin didn’t care. A kill was a kill.

“Why are you wasting your time protecting the human, uh? Wouldn’t you be happier playing with a yarn ball or chasing some rats around the place? Let me end this and no one needs to get hurt. And by no one I mean… well… us. Tearing each other apart for a human? Have you no loyalty to your kind?”

i can't stop thinking about misty, kugrash, and kignston all knowing each ofher and being friends. like they went on adventures together before they met the others. sure it might not have been, like, a super regular thing, they all had lives aside from that of course, but it happened enough times that they were all extremely familiar with each other. i wish we could've seen a little more of that familiarity but also i loved how each of them sort of ignored it in favor of helping along their newer friends.

¿Dónde está la actualización de WPS Office?

A finales del pasado mes se dio a conocer que la versión para GNU/Linux de la suite ofimática WPS Office se encontraba “en un parón” (dicho de otra forma, descontinuado). Este software, de origen chino y privativo, destaca por el buen despliegue que hace de los documentos procedentes de Microsoft Office, sobre todo a la hora de tratar con el OOXML no estándar empleado por el gigante de Redmond. Esto se supo tras responder los encargados de WPS Office a un usuario que preguntó a través de Twitter.

Sin embargo, Kingston Office Corporation, empresa tras WPS Office, borró el tweet y anunció pocos días después que la suite seguiría siendo actualizada en GNU/Linux, dando así esperanzas a los usuarios del sistema Open Source. A esto se le suma el reciente anuncio de una nueva versión con importantes novedades.

Pero, ¿realmente ha sido actualizada WPS Office 2016? Tras anunciarlo Kingston Corp a bombo y platillo, muchos medios nos hemos quedado estupefactos al comprobar que los paquetes no estaban disponibles.

La empresa china anunció la inclusión de bastantes características nuevas incluidas en WPS Office, pero de momento los usuarios de GNU/Linux no pueden disponer de estas porque los paquetes todavía siguen siendo los de junio de 2016, cuando tendrían que estar disponibles los de junio de 2017 (siguiendo la fecha de la nota publicada por Kingston).

Entre las características añadidas a la supuesta última versión de esta suite ofimática se puede destacar lo siguiente:

Compartición de ficheros en remoto.

Funcionalidad de búsqueda incluida en el procesador de textos, la aplicación de hojas de cálculo y la aplicación de presentaciones.

Optimización de la entrada/salida para acelerar el acceso a los ficheros.

Se ha actualizado el despliegue de los efectos de los controles y las fuentes.

Se ha actualizado la exportación de WPS a hiperenlaces de PDF.

Efectos de previsualización de miniaturas actualizados en la aplicación de presentaciones.

Otro punto que deja en evidencia la no actualización de WPS Office para GNU/Linux es la incompatibilidad con Ubuntu 17.04, ya que el gestor de paquetes no es capaz de cumplir con las dependencias requeridas por la suite ofimática.

¿Nos ha tomado el pelo Kingston Corporation?

Otra cosa no se puede pensar después de ver un anuncio que está lejos de cumplir lo que dice, por eso desde MuyLinux invitamos a Kignston a que rectifique cuanto antes su error y haga que su suite se actualice con las características anunciadas y soportando las últimas versiones de distribuciones como Ubuntu, Fedora y openSUSE (debido a que también se distribuye en formato RPM).
