Just got invisalign and everything hurts

i’m huddled in bed, with a hot and cold pack on my jaw and reading mcpricely to distract myself

but seriously im in so much pain 😭

I just started Invisalign on Tuesday and I cannot tell you how much I look forward to meals now. Not because of food, but because I can take these blasted plastic trays out of my mouth. They don’t hurt, but I am SO overstimulated by the slight pressure.

I’m only half a week into my 108 week treatment and I’m going insane.

Had the delightful pleasure of starting to fix my goddamn teeth today. I’m actually beyond excited, I’ve been saving for this for forever and needing it for more than 10 years. (Because obviously insurance won’t cover it even if you’ve got daily pain from teeth grinding/clenching.) Wisdom teeth are rude. My front teeth do not touch, but by August of next year they finally will 😭 and now a bunch of my teeth have little shark fin buttons!

Dental care should be free and NO shame if you’ve struggled with dental health. I feel so lucky to be able to afford this and finally do this for myself. I wish it was easier for everyone to get the care they need.

Fuck me man switching from aligner 12 to 13 was fine and didn't hurt at all hell I barely felt it

Today I'm switching from 13 to 14 and it hurts like Frick

Normally it takes a few hours for a new aligner to hurt but this one is a BITCH RIGHT FROM THE START
