I haven't actually watched a lick of star trek but. People on the @autismswagsummit poll between them said they would be friends, and going by what little I do know of Data, I'm inclined to agree!!! So here are the them :) the two cat loving autisms....
o7 to all the trekkies btw, sorry that your boy lost 😔 but as a reminder, op of the summit potentially has something in mind for those who did, so!! Keep your head up kings. Also a reminder to everyone to be nice to the poll maker and others, it's literally just a silly tumblr competition jdhdhh
[ID: art of Data from Star Trek and Mob from Mob Psycho 100 interacting. The background is a pastel orange and the characters are done in lineart and with light shading and highlights. Data is slightly smiling as he holds his cat, Spot, and Mob, who is standing next to him, is smiling as well as he carefully pets her, Spot stretching her head up to meet the contact. End ID.]
#am i hyperfocusing on a tumblr tournament of all things?? .... maybe just a little bit. no i dont know why#gotta say tho my favorite thing about all these polls has been learning about new characters#and seeing ones that i would have never in my life imagined in each others vicinity be drawn together. so i wanted to add to that!!#anyways as might be obvious this is my first time drawing data so i hope its alright. i have homework now to do augh.... byee 😞#data soong#star trek#kageyama shigeo#mob psycho 100#autism swag summit#my own art#spot star trek#art#described#my own post#aughhg looking at references im really not satisfied with how i drew data actually. whatever whatever i dont have time WHATEVER!!! oug

Rewatching mp100 and even though I am 100% projecting and this has no canon implications whatsoever, this episode is one of the reasons I think mob has bpd traits. He's lived his life trying to keep everything inside because he's scared of hurting others, that something about him is dangerous and needs to be controlled. So it's absolutely devastating when he "failed to change," he did it again, he caused another accident, a fight he lost with himself. He lives his life socially awkward yet always trying his best, trying to do the right thing, be a good person. But that part of himself he tries to control still ends up destroying anyway. It reminds me heavily on what it's like with quiet bpd (though any pwbpd could relate). You're angry but never allow yourself to express that anger towards others, so you constantly keep yourself in check, you always make sure you're never hurting anyone with what you say and do, quiet bpd is all bottled emotions that lead to self destruction, which in turn hurt people anyway. you don't cause fights and can't confront people, but somehow you scare them off anyway.
You failed to change. You did it again. You tried so hard yet it happened anyway. You end up failing to conquer yourself. Sadness
I definitely felt this scene in my heart and it hurt
#actually borderline#actually bpd#borderline personality disorder#bpd#cluster b#personality disorder#quiet borderline#quiet bpd#mp100#mob psycho 100#shigeo kageyama#mob mp100#also mob def is autistic coded and that does align with what I'm saying#having both autism and bpd can be quite an experience#also this post is NOT for those who think bpd is just a form of autism EXPLODE#I just finished s3 and I was sitting there in shock by how much my bpd ass related so maybe ill add on that#posting this rn since this has been sitting in my drafts for today and I'm having a closely related breakdown so off you go!

okay but actually i think one of my favorite things about mob psycho is that. mob is very autistic coded, right? but he's just. he's a normal kid and he has so many friends and everyone loves him!! when he wants to get in the top 10 in the school marathon, no one tells him that's an impossible goal; they all try their best to help him train and encourage him every step of the way! he isn't the butt of the joke, and even when reigen does try to tell him he's misreading things and the people he thinks are his friends aren't actually his friends, that is 1. proven not to be true, 2. not portrayed as a funny haha joke moment, and 3. reigen faces consequences for saying it. mob is autistic coded, and no one treats him any differently for it. it's just one of the many things that makes mob who he is, and no one dwells on it. and it's so nice to see a character who, in pretty much any other show, would be an awkward loner and a loser and an outcast, have so many real friends. mob isn't popular, he's awkward, he doesn't always read situations correctly, he's a middle school boy who has never fit in with his peers. but he has so many friends and so many people who care about him and maybe he's not the most popular boy at school but he has more real friends than tsubomi, who is clearly the most popular girl, and at the end of the day, popularity doesn't matter. being happy does, and mob is happy. like,, it's refreshing to see a school friend dynamic where there's a middle ground between "popular" and "social outcast" and it's also so nice to see a neurodivergent-coded character treated just like any other middle school kid in the show. he's no different because of his autism. it's just a character trait
#mp100#there was some post i saw abt how the best autism representation is always unintentional#and like i'm not autistic but i WAS a lonely neurodivergent girl who had three friends and hated my life in middle school#and mob's experience at school makes that girl inside of me so so happy#he isn't forced to be lonely because he's neurodivergent or because he's different from his peers#he has friends who care about him not in spite of but BECAUSE of the things that define who he is#and it's so nice to see#bc so much of media would isolate a character like mob and his peers would make fun of him and no one would really like him#(like we see in the mogami arc)#but that's NOT mob's experience!! and it isn't even because he has powers!! it's because he's surrounded by good people#and it's so nice#anyway idk if this makes sense i just have feelings lol#shigeo kageyama#hello grace here

having ocs and posting them on the internet is so embarrassing bc whenever i rewrite an oc or retcon something im just like oh fuck. you arent sneaky stinky. everyone saw that. its the same feeling i get whenever someone sees me trip its like i just rolled a 0 on dexterity
#KLAUS especially oh my god?#thank god i didnt post many klaus scenes before i completely rewrote his character bc WOW#he was really about to be wolfgang 2.0... but with way less to do#first interpretation of klaus was like... spoiled rich kid pull yourself up by the bootstraps 'my parents worked hard for our wealth'#and a sprinkle of misogyny. so kinda like wolfgang but WAY less interesting bc at least wg has trauma and insecurities... ur just rich klau#and then i watched mob psycho 100 and i was like wait a minute. klaus isnt a spoiled hyperindividualist rich kid. hes autistic#not to say u cant be those things and autistic but like.... hes shigeo kageyama adjacent thats all im trying to say ok#and mob psycho 100's story is like pretty obviously an autism allegory at least imo. so yes. klaus is mob psycho adjacent

i feel like for trans swag completions/similar there should be separate competitions for canon trans characters and ones that haven't been canonically confirmed. otherwise people are just gonna get mad every time a canon trans character ends up losing to one who's not
#it splits people into voting based on different criteria#it's not really an issue for something like autistic characters bc if a character shows symptoms of autism then they're autistic#whether they've been confirmed or not. that's just how autism works#nobody's gonna get upset about shigeo kageyama beating a character who's been word-of-godded autistic#but i understand getting annoyed about team rocket winning against madeline#but also team rocket has way more swag soo#instead of having to choose between voting for a character who's canon trans and characters that are gnc and resonate with trans people#they should just be in separate polls#my posts

Haikyuu ships ranked by how well I think they'd handle long distance:
1. Ushijima x Tendou. Duel autism "oh I forgot I haven't spoken to you in a week" works out so well. neither of them take it personally, theyre both so busy they dont even notice the time going by. They might not have any other friends but distance and time doesnt matter. Tendou sends a text at 12 in the afternoon and gets Ushijima's heart emoji back at 3am and thats totally normal. Ushijima visits for Valentines day and they fck like rabbits before he flies out again 72 hours later and Tendou forgets to call him for 2 weeks afterwards. They mail gifts back and forth but Ushijima couldnt answer for the life of him if asked what Tendou's schedule was. Everyone else hates how unbothered they are. It doesnt even cross their minds to be jealous or worried.
2. Oikawa x Iwaizumi. They've known each other so long that slipping into a long distance relationship thats literally a 12h difference is so easy. Schedules sync up immediately. Breakfast skype, dinner phone call, facetime movie nights and its basically like neither left. Their only problem is that neither can afford an in-person visit for like 18 months and that gets them down a bit but they compensate with an obscene amount of phone sex. Honestly, after spending all day every day together, this is a goddamn blessing since now they have new stories the other doesnt already know. Iwaizumi is a little on edge whenever Oikawa mentions some new friend he's made but overall they both trust each other.
3. Everyone else, should the situation arise
4. Kageyama x Hinata. Hinata goes to Brazil and Kageyama loses his goddamn mind. They CANNOT sync up their schedules for the life of them. Neither of them are comfortable being flirty over the phone and neither of then can afford to visit each other. They leave so many voicemails begging to arrange a time to call and they ALWAYS assume the other is mad at then when they dont answer texts even tho they should reasonable realize its like 2 am when they sent it for the other person. They make this everyone else's problem. Suga has to block Kageyama's number because he keeps calling to ask if he thinks Hinata has forgotten about him. Hinata hasn't forgotten about him, he's just on the other side of the world crying because he thinks Kageyama hates him for leaving. They're both idiots.

Hq disability Headcanons
A somewhat detailed list of my haikyuu medical headcanons
Nishinoya Yuu - Type 1 diabetes and sensory neuropathy
Was diagnosed at 5
Inherited from parents
Prefers an insulin pump to insulin injections
Diabetes causes his sensory neuropathy
Nerve damage in his arms causing bruises because he can't tell when to stop practicing
Kenma Kozume - Hearing loss in both ears, noise damage
Plays games and music with the volume too high causing damage from all the years he's been doing it
Doesn't like to admit that he has hearing problems
Uses CIC (Completely In the Canal) hearing aids because they're small and unnoticeable
Also uses his hair to cover them because even when he knows they're hard to see he's still pretty self-conscious about them
Tendou Satori - Vitamin B deficiency, Motor Neuropathy, Audhd
Tendou has a vitamin B12 deficiency which results in him developing peripheral neuropathy, more specifically motor neuropathy
It causes him muscle spasms/twitching and gives him a barely noticeable foot drop
I think he has Audhd and struggles with paying attention and wanting to move around a lot
He doesn't have a specific hyperfixation exactly but is full of lots of little facts about lots of things
Hinata Shoyo - Audhd, Dyspraxia
I don't think i really need to explain Hinata's Audhd but I will anyways
It's one of the reasons he has so much energy while he's practicing, because he already struggles with staying still but also because it's one of his special interests
It helps him more if things are explained at the speed his brainis going instead of going slowly
I think he has Dyspraxia too because it explains a lot of his struggles in volleyball
It also ties into why the quick attack pair works so well because Hinata has to focus less on getting everything right himself and can put his attention into his motor skills
Oikawa Tooru - Osteoarthritis
Osteoarthritis is pretty common
It causes joint pain and stiffness in most cases
And it's most common in places like the knees
It's usually from old age but in Oikawa's case it's from trying to play after an injury without letting it fully heal
But he refuses to admit that he has a problem
Kageyama Tobio - Dyslexia
He's incredibly dyslexic
Nobody knows though, everyone just thinks he's really dumb
He has consulted someone about it unfortunately he talked to Hinata who also has mild dyslexia mixed with the fact that his eyes won't stay on one point on his page
They both think that letters and numbers do that for everyone and that they just haven't figured out how to read it properly
Ushijima Wakatoshi - Autism
Definitely autistic
Pretty high functioning though
He's pretty slow on some social cues but the basic ones have been worked out in his brain
He has quite a high tolerance for most stuff but he's not the biggest fan of messing up schedules
Tsukishima Kei - Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome
Was partially inherited because Akiteru showed signs of it but not enough for a diagnosis
I think he specifically has cEDS (Classical EDS) because it fits him the most
I think he's been pretty used to his joints dislocating sometimes but doesn't realise that everyoen else around him isn't
The first time Yachi saw it she almost fainted
Particularly with cEDS people have easily bruised/breakable skin on their forehead, knees, shins and elbows
He has a few pretty big scars on his knees and shins from when he was a kid
They're also quite wide because with cEDS wounds heal quite slowly and leave wide scars
Bokuto Koutaro - Borderline Personality Disorder
This wasn't originally my idea (He wasn't actually going to be on here but it got pointed out to me yesterday)
BPD comes in four stages, Emotional instability, Disturbed patterns of thinking, Impulsive behaviour and Unstable relationships
With emotional instability it's usually intense negative emotions and severe mood swings which could contribute to his 'emo modes'
During disturbed patterns of thinking he'd get upsetting thoughts (like his emo mode) and hallucinations and distressing thoughts that he can't be talked out of
Impulsive behaviour is one i think he has less negatively but it's commonly negative in most cases
His impulsive behaviours are less harmful to himself and others
Unstable relationships are when he attaches himself to someone and I think that person/people would be Akaashi and Kuroo
Them trying to leave him would not go well, it's why he contacts them all the time because he doesn't like the feeling that they might leave him

I have caved. here is my pitch for why Shigeo "Mob" Kageyama needs to win the @autismswagsummit (or at the very least get to the finals)
people have already talked about his intense autism coding (difficulty reading social cues, low empathy/high compassion, strict moral code, flat affect, bluntness, hyperfixating, emotional dysregulation/emotions being all or nothing) but I'm going to put my English degree to good use and talk about the narrative importance of Mob's autism
the entire plot of Mob Psycho 100 would not exist without Mob's autism
first and foremost, the 100 in Mob Psycho 100? it's a symbol of Mob's emotional dysregulation. the narrative uses a percentage counter as a device to indicate Mob's emotional state -- the percentage till Mob's "explosion." emotions and psychic powers are directly related within the narrative, and because he fears the strength of his emotions/powers, he's been repressing his emotions since he was a child. however, as anyone who tries to repress their emotions can tell you, that only works for so long. the percentage meter indicates the build up of emotions until he cannot repress them anymore -- until he essentially has an emotional meltdown through a psychic explosion. these explosions aren't strictly negative emotions either; they can range a wide spectrum of emotions, from rage and sadness to gratitude and trust. any buildup of emotions can be overwhelming and trigger a meltdown
aside from that, the core thesis of the series is self-acceptance. Mob starts off the series with painfully low self-esteem, for a number of reasons -- he dislikes that he doesn't fit in, he feels massive guilt for allowing his psychic powers to hurt his brother when they were little. he wishes he didn't have these powers (which, I cannot emphasize enough, are a metaphor for autism) and he wishes he could just be "normal." over the course of the series, it is emphasized over and over that psychic powers are normal, they're just another trait a person can have. there's good parts of them and bad parts, but at the end of the day, they are a neutral trait. you can understand why "your autism is a normal part of you, not something to be hated or feared" is an important message
which brings us to the final arc of the series. Mob Psycho 100 does not end with a climactic battle with some big bad, but rather with a confrontation between Mob and the part of himself he's locked away. this other part of him symbolizes a lot of things, but most importantly it symbolizes his psychic powers and his autism. since he realized as a child that his psychic powers (autism) could potentially hurt someone if he's not careful, he's been shoving that part away from him and attempting to mask and be "normal." this manifestation of his psychic powers/autism is, understandably, pretty bitter and angry about this. at the end of the day, he just wants to be accepted for who he is -- not for the face he presents to the world, but for who he really is on the inside. the culmination of the whole story comes through his loved ones showing him that they love him in his entirety, even when he's volatile or upset. they love Mob as who he is, and because his psychic powers (autism) are part of him, they love that part of him too. the resolution comes when Mob finally accepts all parts of himself, even his psychic powers (autism) because they're nothing to be feared or hated. they're just part of him.
genuinely, Mob Psycho 100 is the best representation of autism I've ever seen. Mob isn't the only autistic coded character in the series (I could go on and on about Serizawa's adult autism or the relationship between Ritsu's gifted kid syndrome and his undiagnosed autism) but his autism is definitely the most important to the plot of the show. his autism is presented realistically, with kindness and nuance and, most importantly, with neutrality. even if you don't vote Mob in the autism summit (which, you should. come on.) if you're ever wanting a show about autism and self acceptance that is kind without being saccharine, I cannot recommend Mob Psycho 100 enough
also if this isn't a damning indication of the importance of autism in Mob Psycho 100, I don't know what is
@autismswagreblogs
#mp100#every day I think about the autism in mob psycho and I go absolutely nuts#PLEASE don't let him lose the autism summit#I'm sure donnie is a wonderful example of autism#but mob's story literally would not exist without his autism#we cannot let the protagonist of the ''psychic powers as a metaphor for autism'' show lose this

Autistic Anime Boys Side B Round 1 Match 29
Propaganda:
Apollo -
"Not canonically autistic but he has ZERO volume control plus he scripts/repeats stuff (“I’M FINE!!!”), sometimes mimics other people’s speech patterns (like replying “ja” to Klavier), sensitive to loud noises (stayed backstage at a concert cuz it was too loud) and bright lights (complained about the stage lights being too bright at the same concert + screamed when opening the hatch to the bright stage at magic show), and has been really into space since he was a kid, which could definitely be a hyperfixation (not to mention how he read every single one of Phoenix’s old case files back when he admired him). Plus he’s a little TOO normal, to the point where it circles back around to making him the odd one out, which is absolutely what masking feels like for me. Even when he tries to be fun and weird he gets strange looks/made fun of for not being weird in the right way. The list of autism symptoms is just a checklist for him at this point."
Tobio -
"kageyama is this setter (it’s a volleyball anime. means he coordinates plays and helps ppl spike) who at the start of the series is really angry and extremely lonely. but then bc of hinata (mc) and the rest of the team, he learns more about how to interact with other people and how that’s how you can win. he does go way too far with this and ends up not advocating for what he thinks the team should do, but hinata reminds him that if he gets mean again they’ll just tell him that and that he can say what he thinks too. he’s autistic bc i said so. my evidence:
- he started playing volleyball literally as soon as he could (like. when he was five).
- he’s been ostracized multiple times for being too obsessed with volleyball and not having normal interests/level of interest, and for being ‘too good’ at volleyball.
- he has a lot of trouble with social cues and social skills. like a lot. when he has trouble communicating with people/understanding people, he often gets angry.'

LISTEN. I KNOWWW that the polls haven't even started, but I'm impatient, ok, I'm just putting this out there now cause I can't take it..... anyways - I've seen people do powerpoints as a way to campaign for their blorbos in the various polls that have been going on, so!! I thought I'd do one of my own for the @autismswagsummit ^^ as I simply can't pass on any chance to be brainrotted over this series, it seems...
ID under cut, as it's very long!
[ID: a powerpoint presentation campaigning for Mob from Mob Psycho 100. It's formatted in dark purples and pinks.
The first slide is the titlecard, differing from the main slides by having a pink holographic aura, like the ones from the show, as the background. The text says:
"#MOBSWEEP 2023
Aka why you should vote for Mob in the upcoming autistic swag summit. Please
(JK follow your own heart ^^ but for your consideration:)"
The second slide is titled: "Who is Mob, aka Kageyama Shigeo?" and below the text lists:
"Source: Mob Psycho 100, which is also where Reigen comes from;
The protagonist! Only with background character syndrome (which is why he’s named ‘Mob’ – it’s kinda like naming your protag ‘John Doe’ lol);
A 14 year old with the psychic strength to destroy the world. Which he’s not very happy about actually;
Cause really, he’s just a nice, gentle boy who simply wants to improve and impress his crush by getting swole :) Oh, and he also experiences the horrors. Btw."
On the right of this text, there are two images: One is a zoomed in screenshot of Mob, his face blank and confused, and the other is an official art of the show, depicting Mob in the center, aura glowing, with many of the show's other characters around him, with the show's title at the bottom of the image.
The third slide's title is "Ok but tell me more about the autism", and below, the text says:
"Gladly ^^
Ok, first off – symptoms:
Bad at reading social cues, detecting sarcasm, lies, etc.;
Struggles with recognizing/expressing emotions. Has what could be called psychic meltdowns;
Very honest and blunt, sometimes appearing ‘ruthless’ as a result;
Explicitly low empathy, in that he can’t feel what others are feeling;
Actually very compassionate, and follows a really strict moral code;"
There are no images in this or the next slide.
The fourth slide is a continuation of the previous, with the text being:
"Abnormal reaction to sensations, but instead of overreacting, he underreacts, rarely responding to physical touch and disturbing imagery. Has shown to be at times sensitive to loud sounds, however;
Prefers following a routine. One of his biggest conflicts with Reigen literally arise from the man often calling him out of the blue and making him suddenly adapt, which Mob finds really annoying/upsetting;
Struggles in school. Explicitly bad at math, japanese and PE (really passionate about the latter tho), which could be for a variety of reasons, autism related conditions (like dyscalculia/dyslexia/dyspraxia) being one of them;
Has felt like an outcast for most of his life. Even if he grew up in a pretty loving environment, he recognizes that he is different to others, and people sometimes treat him as such (in a /neg way);
His main arc is about overcoming trauma and… just masking (and how to stop doing it), pretty much, lol."
The fifth slide, in contrast, is mostly just images, placed upon a white background. The title for this one is "Alternatively, just look at him:"
The images, from top to down, and then left to right, are:
Three cropped subtitles out of screenshots of the show, which say:
"I'm sure I just got the wrong idea again. How embarrassing."
"He's detached from urban legends, fads, and other hot topics among people."
"You just can't lie, can you?"
The fourth is a cropped screenshot of Mob's explosion meter. Both in Japanese and English. Specifically, it says: "Progress towards Mob's explosion: 92%". Additionally, there is an annotation above this image, saying: "Literally has a meltdown meter ksfdks"
In-between these and the next column of images, there is also a transparent image of Mob, him standing stiffly, faced towards the camera, his standard, blank expression with a small smile on his face.
The next column of images goes like this:
A screenshot from the show, done in paint on glass, of various kids towering over Mob, who's standing in the middle of the image, small. Their expressions wary, from sneering, to frowning, to looking disgusted. The subtitles at the bottom say, with one part blocked out due to spoilers: "[spoilers] didn't treat me any differently even though I could use psychic powers."
Next two are cropped dialogues as well. They say:
"This version of him was created from being suppressed and locked away."
"Social skills like that are beyond you."
And on the right of the slide is one vertical image, showing one of Mob's books, with the subtitles translating the Japanese title of the book as "The Proper Way of Reading the Room". Next to this one, there is also an annotation, saying: "He has a book on learning social cues :’)" That's all for this slide.
The sixth slide is titled "Is he good rep though?" Text below is:
"Well, to answer the first thing relevant to this question… no, he’s not actually confirmed canon autistic. But c’mon.. it’s so obvious. This kid is not fucking allistic like c’monnnn
Of course, what people consider good and bad rep is gonna vary from person to person. But to explain why a lot of people see him as very positive rep:
"1) He’s the main character, so he gets the most spotlight, and the narrative is formed around his pov, in that we only see things that are relevant to Mob, and visually things are often represented in the way Mob sees them as well (take the body improvement club or Tsubomi, for example), which puts all viewers soundly in his shoes and makes him easy to relate to and sympathize with, and makes it clear how important his emotions and view of things really are;"
On the right of this are 3 images against a white background. The first one is a screenshot of the Body Improvement Club - 5 very buff and large dudes - standing against an explosively red and yellow background, with all of them enthusiastically flexing. The caption below that is "The body improvement club! ...they're supposed to be middle schoolers lol".
The next two, below the first one, are two screenshots of Tsubomi. The one on the left has her smiling, her eyes wide and bright, the background being pastel pinks and yellows. The one on the right, however, has her frowning, the background turned black, her eyes dark and disinterested. The caption below says: "Tsubomi :) And how her design subtly changes alongside Mob’s view of her".
The seventh slide is a continuation of the previous, with the text being:
"2) He’s a very well rounded character, with well thought out strengths, flaws, motives, and his overall story is very cohesive and satisfying; 3) His autistic traits are portrayed neutrally – in both where they help, and where they can cause conflict. It balances between him learning what things he would benefit to address and deal with, and what things he shouldn’t be trying to change at all, and as the whole message of the show emphasizes – he is no more or less special than anyone, no more or less of a person – he is simply human, and his autistic traits are just part of what makes him himself."
This one has images next to it as well. The first one is a screenshot of Reigen looking towards the camera (at an off-screen Mob), hand to his chin, eyebrow raised and smiling, some food crumbs still stuck to his face, as he says: "Today you happened to save some people that only you could have saved." Next to it is the annotation: "Reigen reassuring Mob about how his inability to read the room and feel empathy actually can be a huge benefit sometimes :)"
The next image below is a zoom in of Mob's face, his eyes shadowed by his hair, the scene's lighting dark, as he says: "I'm not being mocked, nor am I easily taken advantage of." The annotation next to this one says "Mob learning to recognize his emotions and assert himself better as the story goes on!"
And the last two images is a screenshotted dialogue, saying "You don't think changing yourself for someone you love is natural?" "I don't. At least, not when we're talking about [spoilers]" (The last bit is blocked out again).
The eight slide is also a continuation. The text says:
"4) He is loved. Loved by his friends, his family, his allies… even most villains come to take a liking to him. In fact, he’s something I haven’t seen many autistic characters be – he’s admired! So many characters, and even viewers of the show I’ve found, really admire him and want to be more like him. And not because he’s a perfect person, or super smart or anything, but because he sincerely tries his best. And I just really appreciate that, personally,, 5) And more than just loved, he is accepted – the whole main arc and the resolution of his story centers around that, around how important it is to feel accepted by the people around you, in all your entirety, no matter how strange or destructive you may feel yourself to be. And how you need to come to accept yourself in the same way as well. I just think that’s a really sweet in a story centering around a neurodivergent person :’)"
And the images next to it are as follows:
A screenshot of dialogue from the show, saying: "At first glance, Mob may seem unreliable, but his strength is undeniable." The annotation clarifies with: "The ‘strength’ in question, in this case, being Mob’s ability to reach out to people ^^";
A screenshot of Teru placed against a blindingly white background, him grinning widely, looking down, eyes shining, as he says: "I knew it, you really are amazing!". Next to him, there is a small caption of "Lol gayass /pos";
And a screenshot of Mob, in the bottom center of the image, small, as he is surrounded by various characters. Most of them are smiling encouragingly, with the ones closest to him, like Reigen, Ritsu, Dimple, Teru and Tsubomi, being bigger and placed in the front. A small caption at the top says: "He has so many friends and allies ueueeueueue.."
The ninth slide is titled "Additionally:" and the text lists:
"Psychic powers as a metaphor for being nd/othered, if that suits your fancy;
His design is iconic and versatile;
The boy has. Issues;;
There are many other characters in mp100 who can be read as autistic. Not a single neurotypical in this show /hj
Mob has more than just autism swag. I’ve seen people with bipolar disorder, ADHD, anxiety and those who are plural (etc.) also relate to him :)
He is simply the Boy ever"
Next to the last line is a small, low quality image of Mob smiling from the manga. The rest of the images, on the right, are:
The meme "I can be your angle....or yuour devil", with images of Mob instead - on the left, him smiling brightly and blushing, placed upon a colorful magenta background, and on the right, a panel from the manga: Mob in one of his explosion states, surrounded by fire, face shadowed, hair pushed back by his powers and waving in the air, and his eyes, wide and eerie, being the only features on his face that are visible.
On the right of these images, there is a smaller one, of Mob in another one of his explosion states (the one from episode 3, season 1 of the anime). He is facing to the side, aura surrounding him, hair pushed back by his powers and his eyes a glower. His pupils are red.
Below these, there are three images of, in order, Serizawa, Tome and Ritsu. Serizawa is sweating, nervous, Tome is sweating even more and yelling into a phone, and Ritsu is simply glaring towards the camera. The annotation pointing to them says: "A few of the other autistic blorbos in question :] (as I personally see them at least)".
And the last is a panel from the manga, of Mob sobbing, tears and drool dripping messily down his face, his hair waving in the air. His expression is somewhat blank despite the clear distress, and the text boxes next to him read: "His tears won't stop. It's an emotion he has never experienced before."
And the tenth, final slide, is formatted the same as the titlecard with the pink aura background, and says:
"Thank you if you got this far <3
Have good days everyones, and remember, the true win for autism is the fun we had along the way :]
Buh bye!! ^_^"
Around this text, there are various images of Mob. Counter clockwise, starting at the left corner:
A low quality screenshot of Mob flying in the air;
Mob, in his puppy hoodie, sweating in distress as he points at a vase;
Mob caught mid smear frame, his leg kicked high in the air as he jumps, his school bag swinging to the side, his expression comically flustered.
A panel from the manga. Mob's eyes are shadowed, chopsticks held to his face, as he stares to the side and says "Tch... Shut up and eat.";
A Mob in an alleyway from the anime, smiling, pointing and looking up and to the left (the center of the slide);
A photo of a Mob plushie tucked into bed;
A low quality screenshot of Mob, standing against a wire fence, facing forwards, his eyes appearing a bit angry due to his hair cowering them.

yo mutual i love ur tags fr because like u took the words right of my mouth i was so baffled how ppl would side with one more than the other because the autism pvp felt so real to me that i related to Both of them rlly a lot like. So much so it has cemented itself as rlly one of my fave scenes ever because it was a Step up for growth like that fight made them both better people . and it makes me mad ppl belittle toshiros experiences and like ignore his autism for the sake of pitting two bad bitches against each other Good Lord. The Nuance. There is Nuance. and ppl who ignore it just feels so personal to me as an autistic asian person who's been told that there's no way they're not "normal" like ive not been masking and not even like That well either.
Toshiro to me is like a similar vibe of Autism to Mob aka Shigeo Kageyama MP100 where he represses so much of his true feelings and opinions and emotions that he will just blow up one day (validly!!!) !!! like. let him be autistic in peace. not everything has to be a moral failure and not everything has to revolve around Laios just because hes the main character of Dunmeshi. Like they were both so relatable it hurts me...
not me spelling empathized as emphasized lmao
but yeah anyways I really interpret the shuro and laios conflict as just two autistic people who just don’t mesh naturally? At the very least, it’s a complication between two people with very different cultures.
Both laios and toshiro are people who don’t exactly fit in. On shuro’s side, the source of his ‘otherness’ is a little redirected (is that the word?) because his status and nationality already set him apart on the island, but even back home he was reserved and didn’t socialize well. He struggles to connect with others and has a hard time being sincere!!! the argument between him and laios isn’t an evil neurotypical vs blorbo autistic, it’s conflict-avoidant autistic vs social cue blind autistic!
There isn’t really a right or wrong side here, Shuro tried communicating in the way he knew how, but he and laios just simply don’t understand each other’s languages. Their fight is a reset for the both of them; now they each know a vital fact about each other! Laios knows that Shuro has a hard time verbalizing discomfort, and shuro now knows that Laios needs to be told things to understand them. Now they can both find a middle ground and properly compromise between their two opposites.
and it’s important to note that if laios did know he was making shuro uncomfortable, he would stop as best as he knew how, all the way. This guy takes boundaries seriously, as long as there are clear lines to what those boundaries are. And he’s attentive to other’s needs! (See: him and chilchucks friendship. They understand each other very well, I could write a whole meta on it)
Now that he and shuro are seeing eye to eye, their friendship can now progress in a healthier fashion! This fight isn’t the end of the world. (Honestly having a fist fight is like third base to me but we won’t speak of that) Toshiro isn’t evil, he’s just a really cool foil to Laios, and their disagreement serves to establish important parts of their characters and to progress both their character arcs 👍
#Also YESSS he is so similar to mob psycho. Repressing until you can’t anymore and have to beat someone up 😎✌️#Maintagging this bc I’m tired of the hate. Drown em out#toshiro nakamoto#laios touden#astronomically random#astronomical asks

Furudate said Kagehina love each other!
My roman empire will always be that Furudate said that Hinata and Kageyama "love each other", are "best friends" and have a "minimal non-romantic crush on eachother".
Hinata has ADHD and Kageyama has Autism. Both love each other so dearly and deeply but don't know that they love each other because it's such a strong feeling and they never felt it before. They just care so deeply about each other.
In my mind, one of them just proposes after the Adlers/Jackals match. Likely Hinata. Because they are finally on the same level. Because Kageyama isn't mad that he lost. Because now they are independent (Kageyama doesn't need Hinata anymore for social interactions and Hinata can fly and score on his own).
#haikyuu!!#anime and manga#in my mind hinata and kageyama are demi#hinata shouyou#kageyama tobio#kagehina
