i always liked scrappy. he was fun and a nice change of pace. never understood why everyone hated him.
With every new unfortunate thing we learn about the new Velma series and the war crimes it does against the original characters, my partner actually pulled out his phone to look up this guy he absolutely abhors, and said in the most melancholic voice I've ever heard him use-
"Perhaps we've treated you too harshly."
I may agree with him.

Super Doo Au Prompt #1
So, as I mentioned in an earlier... ( I don't know the term. Post? Tumbl? Crack? Blog?), Superman only got his super powers after eating some of Ma Kent's baking.
For this prompt, the Kent's live in/around Coolville/Crystal Cove, and Clark became friends with the Scooby gang while growing up. Through a number of events, the Scooby gang receives powers, and forms the core of the justice league with Superman.
Characters:
Shaggy is obviously a speedster, taking the place of the Flash. He can run real fast, and has to eat far more than a normal human can.
Scooby could be a Kryptonian super dog. If he is, then he belonged to Clark growing up, until Shaggy and Clark "married" and raised Scooby as their son. Eventually, Shaggy and Clark "divorced", and the judge (The school children) awards equal custody. (It was a highly controversial decision, and regular fist fights still break out even though none of the children are still in school)(Shaggy and Clark are best friends though)
Alternatively, Scooby could be able to transform into other animals, as well as be an excellent mimic. He could also turn into a larger version of himself.
Velma could be the girl in the chair. However, I propose something different. Hot Dog Water is the girl in the chair, and Velma is a cyborg-like character. Hell, both Hot Dog Water and Velma could have enhancements. They are also dating b/c obviously.
Daphne is Batman. Flat out. She funds the gang, knows a ridiculous amount of unique topics, and has a bit of a ditzy public persona. Either no additional powers, or maybe something that makes her really lucky.
Fred is difficult. On one hand, he could be Batman with how much he loves traps and in certain timelines is rich and acts like an absolute himbo. On the other, he is a bit of a himbo. So instead, he gets powers to control metal, somewhat.
Something that will let him tinker with the Mystery Machine, let him fully construct traps, let him lift large objects with ease. Eventually someone thinks to put some metal in a rope, and Fred now controls ropes. (The amount of sex/bondage jokes are outstanding, and Fred just smiles and nods along. He has no idea what anyone is talking about. People make a comment about kinks and he's just like "??? there are no kinks in this rope???". Fred is a human golden retriever.)
Scrappy could be a Bizzarro clone of Scooby, or just be part of a junior team.
The Hex girls absolutely get saved one time, and make custom theme songs for each of the gang as thanks.
Vincent Van Ghoul is like John Constantine. He uses his acting career as cover while he deals with demons. He is also unimpressed with the... lackadaisical attitude of the gang.
The Parents:
Ma and Pa Kent have that midwest farmer attitude. If you're there, you'll do your work and eat your fill. Family is the most important thing, and you leave 30 minutes to an hour after you say goodbye. You also leave with about twenty various leftovers. (Oh, we'll never eat this pie. And I know chocolate chip is your favorite. I made too much mashed potatoes, take some, etc.) They never throw anything away (It could be useful), and they always tell people to watch out for deer as they leave.
The Kents know Clark has super powers, so when he starts having helpers, they figure out who it is pretty quickly. Que Clark telling outrageous lies to protect his friends and his parents pretending to believe him. Ma Kent always piles Shaggy's food much higher than everyone b/c "he's a growing boy" and not because she knows he needs way more calories. Pa Kent asks for Fred's help around the farm because Fred can move tractors easier. Etc.
For the rest of the parents, they should be caring, but a little oblivious. except Fred's parents. Fred's parents being evil and him not realizing because he can be very oblivious to his loved ones is funny. Like, "Oh, my parents aren't evil, they just *insert terrible excuse that a five year old wouldn't fall for*"
Ages:
I would say it could start 14-15 for that sweet, sweet puberty angst. and also to start the threats small. As the gang gets more used to their powers, they can start going further afield.
That's all I've got for now,
Tune in next time for more cracked out ideas.

It still makes me so mad that the only reason why people younger than 30 hate Scrappy-Doo is essentially just because they were told to.
Scrappy’s only appearances in the past 30 years have been in situations where he has been mocked for being annoying. But if you actually go back and watch his earlier appearances, he isn’t annoying.
Do you wanna know what he is? He’s a little kid. He’s just a little kid who loves his uncle with all his heart and doesn’t want him to think he’s scared of the monsters, so he goes out and does his best to fight them to make his uncle Scooby proud.
The only reason why people over 30 think he’s annoying is because they think kids are annoying, so they made their own interpretations of Scrappy just to make sure that kids nowadays also think of him as annoying whilst never actually showing them what Scrappy was actually like.
This is one of the reasons why Velma fails as a Scooby show, it thinks it’s too good to actually indulge in the actual show and instead just bases the characters off of what boring elder millennials think of the characters.
If he was actually given a chance to be brought back, not as a joke or a villain, but as an actual member of the gang then I guarantee that more people would come around to him.
Hell, they already brought back an even more annoying character with Flim Flam in Scooby-Doo and the curse of the 13th ghost. If they can bring back Flim flam without irony, why not Scrappy?
This is all James Gunn’s fault, especially when it’s literally been said that Scrappy’s inclusion in the first live action film was a last minute addition. If he hadn’t done this, then we wouldn’t be in this scrappy hating society we find ourselves in today.

So much negativity, let’s do something positive.
BECAUSE IT'S TOO EASY!! It's the easiest thing in the world to do! Any imbecile can hate! It's lazy!! You wanna know what takes effort? Being nice. It is so hard to be nice to some people! ~ Nostalgia Critic.
Yeah, I’ve seen a lot of negativity in the world. So easy to type on a keyboard and say this sucks, that sucks and so on. So easy, even Craig McCracken requested for Bubbles to beat her 2016 counterpart in the Jellystone Crossover despite the fact it's been almost 6 years since it ended. But let’s try to change that. Let’s take something you dislike and find a positive or two with it. So let me try.
Velma
I think Mindy Kaling can make a decent Velma voice actress. If she were to voice Velma in a different Scooby Doo Series, I think she can pull it off.
The Animation is the best part of the series. The visuals look great and proves the animation team put a lot of passion behind it.
I like Norville’s design. Like, I wouldn’t call him Shaggy until his hair becomes shaggy but I can see him being great in a different Scooby Doo Series.
I kind of like that Scrappy Doo is in something modern. Maybe this could lead to a resurgence of him coming back in a new Scooby Doo Series.
Teen Titans Go
I really love the Music. Even outside BER, I have enjoyed a good number of their songs. I even like Waffles.
I like how they play with animation styles. Be Serious with their overdesigned looks. Origans Part 3 with their various styles. Everytime they listen to BER. It really shows how creative they can get.
I enjoy their references to DC’s History. They had the Challengers of the Unknown in their movie and Nuclear Man. A Year before DC actually put him in comics and decades after his movie appearance.
Cyborg is the best character of the series. I think he works off well with all the characters individually or as a group. And I have enjoyed his solo stories.
Outside the BER episodes, my favorite episodes are the Oregon Trail and the first Justice League’s Next Top Talent Idol Star. They have been very enjoyable for me.
Jared from Powerpuff Girls 2016
I like that Blossom liked him. It gave her some extra character that I felt she lacked in the original series.
Donny from Powerpuff Girls 2016
Uhh... His voice actor, Josh Fadem, was in Adventure Time and really nailed the role of Whipple the Sea Dragon.
Man, it's harder than it looks for those last two. But try it yourself. Find something you don’t like and think positive things about it. It won’t change what you feel about it, but it probably would prevent you from just being constantly upset about thinking of all the Negatives about it.

Okay, so regarding Muse’s family with her father Heavenly Snake Taizu (天蛇太祖), Mother Ashara (艾夏拉), oldest brother Ilovic (伊洛维奇) and second oldest Yerimes( 耶里梅斯) and call themselves the Serpent Clan.
There was a complicated civil war in the Serpentine Star. The eldest prince Ilovich was originally the heir to the position of the leader of the Serpentine Star, but he was separated from the old leader of the Serpentine Taizu during the war. The leader was replaced by the second prince Yerimes inherited. Since Ilovich was revealed to not be Heavenly Snake Taizu’s son he ended up being exiled but he was picked up and raised by Assas in the night city. While Yerimes ended up joining the Chaos Sect (aka Sorensen’s gang) and ended up getting a chaos evolution.
So, overall most of the Serpents Clan fell into darkness with the exception of Muse being the only one who was for justice, unfortunately most of thiswere taken out of the donghua as it would have been an interesting plotline for Muse’s introduction.
Though to be honest, i think Muse's family make way more interesting villains than the pirates and the Scrappy-doo gummy bear duck thing did.

So. I didn't grow up watching much TV, because my parents canceled our cable when I was around 3 years old. But I'm gonna list off some of the shows I remember watching before and after then. This might get rambly. Idk. There were definitely not all on the same channel.
Batman: The Animated Series (and to a lesser extent its Superman and Justice League counterparts)
Dexter's Lab (there's DOOM and GLOOM while THINGS GO BOOOOM.... IN DECTER'S LAAAB!)
The Powerpuff Girls (Bubbles was my favorite)
Cow & Chicken (they were siblings)
Catdog (alone in the world is a little catdoooooog)
Courage the Cowardly Dog (I remember not watching this very often?)
Looney Toons and Tiny Toons (they're tiny! they're toony! they're all a little loony!)
Scooby-Doo (several different series? I remember the classic, one with Scrappy instead of Fred and Velma, and one where the whole gang was small children)
Animaniacs (BRING THIS BACK)
I M Weasel (and I R Baboon!)
Johnny Bravo (only vaguely remember this, but I remember the crossover with Scooby-Doo best)
Rugrats (I remember no details but I did watch the show before the movie)
Hey, Arnold (wasn't such a fan of this one)
Arthur (watched this one less and it might have been broadcast instead of cable)
Ed, Edd, and Eddy (barely, it was a latecomer and didnt appeal to me)
Sailor Moon (nearly forgot this one, tiny me loved it)
There was also Captain Planet, but I only remember watching that on a VHS we had, not on TV.
Shows like Recess and Dora the Explorer came a little later, after my family lost cable - I remember only seeing them when we went to a hotel or a friend's house or a relatives beach house. SpongeBob, too, I think I managed to miss out on that one pretty much entirely.
After that, on broadcast TV, here are some shows I remember-
Teletubbies (it was babyish even for me but I think I liked the shows on either side of it so I had to tolerate it)
Sagwa
Dragon Tales
Jackie Chan Adventures
Pokemon
Clifford the Big Red Dog (I think I remember this one?)
Zaboomafoo (not a cartoon, was the second-to-last show of the Saturday morning programming for kids)
Zoom (not a cartoon, was the last show of the Saturday morning programming for kids)
I stopped watching TV nearly entirely before some of the really awesome ones came out - you know, Teen Titans, Danny Phantom, Avatar: The Last Airbender. Those mightve been cable so I wouldn't be seeing them anyway. I think Danny Phantom definitely was, but I remember binge watching that at a beach house. I've watched all three of those in their entirety since then.
I do remember watching Saturday morning cartoons for a while when I got a little older. The main ones I remember were Chaotic, Viva Piñata, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Fast Forward.
I'm sure there were a bunch more that were on or that I saw, but those are things I remember.
#idk what the point of this was really#cartoons#remembering stuff#i know i have some youngins following me so heres a peek at the past i guess

They should bring back Scrappy Doo! He doesn't deserve what happened to him. He was just a fun energetic kid. Sure he was annoying at times but all kids are! Plus his own uncle, who he looked up to, practically abandoned him in that 2002 movie.

lmao i hope my mutuals relate to this or else my in depth analysis of why scrappy doo’s mom doesn’t love him will be all for naught
#tbh i’m the one that did that and i’m still floored by it#like why in the hell did i write that analysis#i mean yeah i’m a part of the scrappy doo hate club#but damn i just absolutely laid him to waste on the steps of justice and flayed him in the court of opinion without a second thought#smh my head#i love character analysis though#i thrive on the inner machinations of the fucked up little micro-details of stories like that#like the microeconomic structures of the tiny groups of people who have beliefs they’d hang their life on#and they don’t even realize they’re in like the least important corner of the ginormous galaxy of the story they’re in#stuff like the flag smashers of the mcu and(previously) the mandalorians within star wars#(i say previously bc now that theres a show the mandos have to be far more important else the mouse wouldnt be able to make money off them)#and for irl the heavens gate cult or the mansons#just shit where those people were so sure they were the main characters that they killed people and themselves over their beliefs#and now people don’t even really talk about them cause there’s a whole plague going on and we have better shit to do#like if irl was a story they’d be the ‘death watch cult’ of our whole star wars universe thing#but before mandos got tv shows#anyways#queue are... my fire. the one... desire.
