The final flower for Usagi could only be one thing: the rose 🌹
While the 90s anime tend to align roses with Mamoru, this flower’s association with love and romance is also well suited with Sailor Moon, who at the end of the story, chose love and hope over despair. Her love, in all its many forms, is ultimately what led to the happy ending that she created for herself and those she holds dear 💕

What better way to wrap up Usagi’s floriography mini-series than with her final image in the manga! 👰♀️
Some of you might be wondering why I didn’t include any white roses with Eternal Sailor Moon, and that’s because the white rose is none other than Usagi herself. White roses can symbolize everlasting love and hope, and certainly those are things that Usagi embody 🤍

Dahlia comes in many colors, but one of the most intriguing is the so called “black dahlia” which has come to symbolize sorrow, death, and to some, evil. 🥀
The various dark forces that Usagi faces across the five arcs of “Sailor Moon” are represented in the black dahlias that are scattered or hidden behind her. I chose to draw her manga-inspired Death Buster Super Sailor Moon outfit because it’s a favorite of mine with the rainbow collar and skirt. Her pose and expression is based on the final battle with Pharaoh 90, when Sailor Moon finds the resolve to defeat him even as all her friends and teammate have reached their limits, which continues with the theme of resiliency and determination that’s associated with dahlia.
As with most flowers, the different colors also have different meanings. Besides the already mentioned “black” dahlia, red dahlia represent love and power, pink for grace and kindness, and purple for royalty, all of which are important attributes of Sailor Moon’s character.

I’ve been seeing a lot of people hating on either Ezran or Rayla because of 7x02.
Look, they were both wrong. And they were both right. It was a messy situation, and they’re both allowed to be imperfect, complicated people who hurt each other. They were both being cruel, both being harsh.
And that’s very real.
