With the announcement of a Sonic & DC Comics crossover, I thought it'd be fun to come up with some other character combinations.

Rouge as Catwoman (and I'm aware of the irony, but if a hedgehog can be Batman then why not a bat as Catwoman?)

Eggman as Lex Luthor

Black Doom as Darkseid

And yes I am aware that Amy is already Wonder Woman, but personally I just feel Blaze would be a better fit. So who would Amy play then?

Sonic Movie 3 Trailer dropped + my complaints with no Amy & Rouge

Yeah amy and rouge probably won't be in this movie.

Which won't stop me from getting pissed off when it happens, but still.

At least my whole Gerald working with Eggman theory was correct.

Too bad Amy and Rouge being kept out of the story will hold this movie back from being the greatest version of the sa2 plot.

I don't think I need to explain how important Rouge is to the story of Shadow, but I also firmly believe that Amy is important as well.

And let me respond to whatever cocky dickhead will counter me about this.

"Amy doesn't have to be here! Why shove in a character and introduce her in the story!? That can't work!"

Bitch, please. They LITERALLY pulled this shit in Sonic 2. Tails wasn't introduced in the original story of Knuckles, nor did he do much that would suggest he needed to be there, yet not only did they INTRODUCE Tails into the movie properly but also gave him a lot of stuff to do and proper moments with the cast.

They could absolutely introduce Amy Rose and Rouge the Bat into this movie if they wanted.

"Amy barely did anything in Sonic Adventure 2!!! Why would she be needed in this movie!?"

Well, not only was she a VERY important component to Shadow's redemption, reminding him of Maria's true wish, but this is the chance for her to be EVEN MORE important.

Amy meeting up with Team Sonic in these dark, tragic times of destruction would have been awesome, she being the light of positivity and compassion amongst the angst and evil and chaos that Team Sonic has to deal with, maybe even pushing Sonic to keep going in his darkest hour, she would have been amazing in this film.

But we're SERIOUSLY not only not gonna get Amy, but not even ROUGE!? Despite the friendship she built with Shadow and her being Knuckles' rival!? Yeah, fuck off with that.

I'm not saying the movie is going to be awful, or even just "okay", I know it's going to be good. But it's certainly NOT going to be as good as it should be BECAUSE the blatant neglect and disregard they have shown towards such important characters to the story.

I really hope this isn’t true😢 it would suck to have to wait two more years for the core team to be complete.

I hope they actually meant that she in the movie but she has a smaller role for now and she’ll get a bigger role in the fourth installment.🙏🏾🥺

Name ✨Stellar the Hedgehog✨

Basic Description The product of Project Stellar—a secret government operation aiming to perfect Project Shadow—Stellar is a genetic experiment combining the DNA of the Ultimate Life Form and the fastest thing alive. Designed to be a living weapon, Stellar was born in a hidden facility where she would have been raised to be an unstoppable weapon for the military. Thankfully, Shadow the Hedgehog (with help from Rouge the Bat) discovered her existence, destroyed the lab, and rescued her as an infant. Shadow then went on to begrudgingly inform his long-time rival, Sonic the Hedgehog, of their newfound child, seeing as she was technically just as much Sonic's problem as she was Shadow's. From there, the duo (along with help from their friends) raised Stellar as their daughter, sheltering her from the knowledge she was created to be a force of destruction for her masters. Along the way, Sonic and Shadow found themselves truly falling for one another, dissolving the barriers they had placed between one another as rivals, finding new appreciation for each other in their new parental roles.

Stellar herself is a bright, warm-hearted person. She has a strong sense of justice and never shies away from standing up for what is right. She takes after Sonic in personality, always cracking jokes and finding it hard to sit still. Despite this, she inherited Shadow's finesse and ability to plan out her choices, not to mention his abilities to utilize chaos energy. She has a love for figure skating, ballet, and make up (thanks to Auntie Rouge!), but don't let her feminine side fool you, she is not afraid to get her hands dirty! She would love nothing more than to spend her day smashing badniks into the ground with her skates if her dads would let her! Stellar loves both of her parents dearly, but sometimes wishes that they wouldn't be so protective of her. After all, what could they possibly have to be worried about?

Okay, so I know that you're in the process of showing us how Sonic and Amy's wedding and proposal is planned out (no pressure). BuT, just curious, how did Knucks and Rouge get married? Or even how did he get to propose?

I will not be doing a full comic or even a full fic of how their wedding goes down just because I have too many other projects I want to do (I’m only one person! 🥵). But I will give you a breakdown of how the Knuxouge wedding goes in my AU! And if anyone wants to do fanart or a fic based off it, I’d love to see/read it!

During the events of Boom!Baby, Knuckles and Rouge finally get engaged. I don’t have the exact proposal in mind, but I like to think that the two of them have been aggressively/playfully putting it off for awhile, with Knuckles constantly joking “As if I’d ever want to be married to HER” and Rouge jabbing back with “Please, you’d need to offer me the Master Emerald on a ring for me to even consider it!” But with Sonic and Amy taking this next major step in their lives, Knuckles is inspired and does end up popping the question (with a CONSIDERABLE ring full of gems that he scavenged himself!).

Knowing Rouge is an absolute diva, she’d have the most extravagant, over-the-top, dazzling wedding you could imagine. And it would definitely be a “no-kids-allowed” event. Have you seen the movie “Crazy Rich Asians”? Picture that. The wedding would be a spectacle that would last for DAYS! But, the wedding date would be expedited super fast (I headcanon that Rouge is actually very insecure and puts out a bold front to hide that about herself. She’d want to rush the wedding because she’s secretly afraid Knuckles will want to back out. She shouldn’t worry about that, he loves her very much and really wants to marry her!).

In my AU, Shadow is off-world during Boom!Baby, so though Rouge would have obviously asked him to be her “Man of Honor,” she wouldn’t be able to find a way to reach him and get him back in time for the wedding. Because of this, Omega gets pushed to the role of “Man (Mech?) of Honor” and Rouge asks Amy to be a bridesmaid instead. Note, Amy is nearing the end of her pregnancy at this time haha. I always write Rouge and Amy to have a very tense “friendship;” that’s just my personal preference. So Rouge asking Amy to be her bridesmaid was because Amy is her closest female friend, but also because she thinks it will make herself look extra fabulous when standing next to a very pregnant lady haha. She even picks out an awful yellow bridesmaid dress for Amy to wear (because Amy is still very beautiful, pregnant or not). Though Amy does agree to be a bridesmaid to support her friend, she’s actually quite upset and very self-conscious and it initially puts a damper on her enjoyment of the wedding festivities (Her feet hurt like hell, she feels like a bowling ball, she thinks she looks horrendous in this color!). Don’t worry though, Sonic cheers her up and reminds her just how radiant she is 🥰

[Sonic seeing Amy in her bridesmaid dress] S: “Wow!” A: “This yellow dress is awful. She did this on purpose.” S: “Well if she was trying to make you look bad, she failed miserably. You look like the sunshine!” A: “I look VERY pregnant!” S: “Sure, pregnant with MY baby. There ain’t a thing more beautiful than that 😉” [Rabid kissing ensues hehehe]

I picture Rouge having many outfit changes for every event that happens during their week-long wedding extravaganza, but for her actual wedding dress I imagine something super sleek, super sexy, and made up entirely of diamonds! My drawing doesn’t even do it justice. Just picture that as she’s walking, every single facet of every single diamond is sparkling! All the men would have to wear 3-piece black tuxedos complete with trousers (Sonic hates this), except Omega obviously. But he’d still wear a dapper bowtie and Sunflower & Iris boutonniere like the rest of the wedding party. (I chose Irises because Rouge seems to like the color purple and they’re a very elegant flower, and I chose sunflowers because they remind me of Knuckles for some reason. Maybe because they’re big and tall. Idk, I can see Knuckles really liking sunflowers and yellow pairs beautifully with purple). Sonic and Tails are Knuckles’ groomsmen, but Team Chaotix are also among honored guests so Vector and Espio (and maybe even Mighty) would attend all the groom-related events (like the bachelor party) leading up to the wedding.

Right before the ceremony, Rouge and Amy have a touching heart-to-heart moment and Rouge does thank her for stepping in and helping out, and she apologizes for making Amy feel bad. She admits that she has insecurities that she doesn’t like people to know about, so that’s why she goes over-the-top and sometimes puts others down in the process. Also (at least in my AU), Rouge doesn’t have very many close friends outside of Shadow and Omega, so Amy really is her next best friend. They make up, the ceremony is perfect and romantic, and everyone gets to have an absolute blast at the reception!

Lastly, because Rouge is so over-the-top… after Shadow returns back to their planet 20+ years later, I can AB-SO-LUTELY see her throwing a vow renewal that’s even more extravagant than their first wedding as an excuse to have him as her Man of Honor and also as an excuse to throw another huge bash. Though this one would be even crazier and BIGGER, I think the vow renewal would actually be way more fun because everyone (including kids) can come this time, everyone’s families are bigger (even CC would be there!), and Knuckles and Rouge’s adopted kids (Ruff and Tumble) would get to be part of the ceremony, so it’d be very heartfelt even with goofy antics.

Sorry I’m not going to make this one into a full-fledged comic, but I hope you enjoyed this condensed version anyway! And I hope nobody takes the way I write Rouge as me not liking her character. I just like to add a little spice into why she comes off so proud all the time. I adore Knuckles and Rouge as a couple. Their rivalry and catty attitudes are just a hoot!

I still think there are many creative ways to implement her character into the movie.

The Video has even mentioned some examples

like Amy already living on earth without the team's knowledge, if her needing a connection to the humans is really that important. (honestly, I don’t think she needs to live a day on earth to care/want about every living being and to give them a chance).

Also, I don’t think “ sonic redeeming shadow” is necessarily the direction the directors are going with in this movie (I could be wrong though🤷🏾‍♀️). From what I could remember from one of their older interviews about Sonic Movie 3 they mentioned that “ Shadow would be a tougher nut to crack compared to knuckles due to his trauma and that a simple speech from Sonic wasn’t going to cut it this time” (not exact quote but something among the lines)

It seems like they don’t want to rehash Sonic redeeming Shadow as he did for the last movie with Knuckles. So it makes sense for a new character with a different way of approaching others on a deeper and more empathetic level to take a swing at it… like Amy.

Besides they already gave Amy's moment to Sonic in the Archie series and Chris in Sonic X in the past… and yet neither of them was as impactful or memorable as the original one. (I don’t want there to be a round three of this.)😞

Lastly, I don’t think the movie should be 100% about Shadow's story/origin so there should be room for characters like Amy and Rouge. They can save any other ideas they didn’t get to touch upon in the third movie for a Shadow for movie spin-off or series. (we all know that we’re getting one😒).

And Maria and Gerald (though rumors mention he could be alive in this version) are characters that died in Shadow’s story so I don’t think they’re gonna have a huge amount of screen time .

Most Amy and rouge fans are not asking for the movie to give these characters, huge roles that take up huge screen time like most fans think. We just want them to be there and not be replaced or brushed off. (the film could easily set up a small foundation of their characters/roles for this movie and give them bigger roles in later movies).

They are important characters that play a huge role in Shadow’s development just as much as Maria and Gerald.

Sure the roles they play may be small but they always have a major impact on other characters or the story by the end. (that’s literally what Amy Rose is all about).

Whether Amy and Rouge are in the third film or not I’ll try to respect Paramount‘s decision but I would be lying if I say I wouldn’t be disappointed or bitter about it.

 My hope is rather low on them making it in the film, despite my passion for these characters. But I’m still keeping my fingers crossed that they’ll make it into this movie and prove everyone wrong by exceeding everyone's expectations.

And if not, then I hope they make one heckuva fourth movie with these two to make up for it😤.

Opinion: I don't really want Amy or Rouge to be in Sonic 3 that much, or at least I wouldn't mind if they weren't in it.

1: The 2nd movie already felt so crowded with all the characters it had. Tails and Knuckles were fighting for screentime, and Tails' developmemt ended up feeling super rushed and forced. I'd like if the third movie just focused on developing Shadow so it doesn't have a similar problem.

2: As far as Amy goes... I think it would fit better if Sonic gave the speech to Shadow, not her. Sonic has spent a long time on Earth getting to know humans, and has formed close bonds with several of them. If he did the speech, it would be alot more impactful then if Amy just appeared on Earth and did it in the same movie. If she were to appear in a movie, I'd prefer it to be in a possible fourth one that adapts Sonic CD.

Ok, buckle up, you’ve opened the floodgates :). I am so glad that the trailer has finally been released. I followed a “days until sonic movie 3” page (that has now been deleted 😞) back when there was ~600 days left. There is now 114!! Thats practically right around the corner, I am salivating at the mouth for this.

They have been giving us nothing of this movie so far. Like small scraps of “this is Maria’s actress!” here and “Keanu might be voicing Shadow” there. Finally we’ve gotten something, and I think Shadow looks amazing. I love him riding his motorbike, doing the little drift, beating everyone up, and just being cool in general. Im so ready for him to wreak havoc and I can tell there’s gonna be a lot of Shadow and Sonic rivalry (to friends arc) going on. Also, Maria!! I cant wait for her demise (sorry Shadow). I just wanna see where they go with his backstory, and cute little snippets of him before he hated everyone.

The movie models are just so well rendered, so I am looking forward to seeing new scenes of all my boys (no girls it looks like). While a lot of people are really disappointed that it seems like Amy,Rouge, etc. won’t be in the movie, I never really thought they would be, and don’t necessarily want them to be either. I think the movie would be better focusing on Shadow and Sonic(+Knuckles+Tails).

I am a bit worried about critics, as the Knuckles Series got a lot of hate when it really wasn’t bad. Like, it had some childish and/or unfunny parts, and it did focus more on Wade than I would have preferred. But at the end of the day it was centered around my absolute fav character, and any new Knuckles content I will eat up. We would never have seen him in his silly little hat if it wasn’t for the series, so who cares if it wasn’t the best. It gave us hours of new Knuckles scenes to talk about, and I think a lot of it treated him pretty well.

But, if people start hating on the new movie like that, it will really sap the joy out of it. So I hope everyone will try to find stuff to enjoy, instead of stuff to nitpick. …That being said, I really hope they don’t treat Knuckles like a joke. He gets put into ‘comedic relief’ way too often, and even though Boom!Knuckles holds a special place in my heart, I would rather Knuckles’ character be treated seriously. He has so much potential, and I don’t want him to slowly slide back into the meathead character bc he’s way more than that.

The trailer didn’t exactly do him justice, but all of the boys got beaten real easy, so I’m holding out hope that he won’t continue to blunder. Since the movie is gonna be focused on Shadow and Sonic, I don’t think Knuckles (and even Tails) will get as much screen time. And while that does suck, it’s not horrible. If we get some family bonding and brotherly interactions, I’ll be happy. I just hope that they do Knuckles right for the time he is there. Please treat him carefully sonic movie universe, I beg you. He is my baby.
