this is all great shit, sums up all the rivals to a T

now, blaze is an opposite to sonic similar to that of knuckles, both in personality and aspirations and even in powers to some extent

sonic runs as fast as the wind and lightning, blaze scorches through with the power of the fire and smoke (uhhhh aang and zuko i guess)

sonic's lifestyle is inherently without reins, since he just goes wherever the wind takes him and isnt the type to settle down

blaze spends all day in a castle, doing what's right from a more political position, only taking things into her own hands and handling things physically when the situation calls for it, otherwise, she's a princess first and foremost

sonic's surrounded by friends and family and community all the time and embraces it

blaze, while surrounded by community, didnt have a lot of friends before sonic and his crew came into her life

oh and sonic's a blue boy and blaze is a pink girl

...tl;dr, she's kind of a modern reinterpretation of the ideas that knuckles's story proposed back in the genesis days

silver i dont really have anything for, except maybe he'd be a lot more like sonic if he didn't grow up in a post-apocalyptic wasteland

silver WANTS to socialize with others and do what's right and stuff, like sonic does, but he doesn't know how to do the first because he didn't grow up around two-tailed foxes, hammer swinging hedgehogs, and an echidna obsessed with a green rock (/silly)

he grew up surrounded by fire, flames, and monsters, and if we're putting blaze in that context, the only friend he had was someone who wasnt very social to begin with

i feel like silver would've turned out to be a future equivalent to sonic, taking up all of the things he stood for and doing things in a way similar to him, IF he didn't grow up in the apocalypse

nevermind i do have things for silver

Knuckles sits down with Silver and teaches him how to weave with plant fibers.

"Pfft, when am I ever going to use this?" Silver crosses his arms. "Like I'll ever find stuff like this where I'm from."

"Shut up and pay attention." Knuckles grumbles as he layers the first few supporting vines.

Silver returns to his time shortly after, and Knuckles wonders if a word he said got through that psychokinetic skull of his.

Silver comes back next time with a scraggly little basket made from burnt plastic resin and polyester scraps. There's almost tears in his eyes as he shows it off. "I made this. It's mine."

Knuckles looks it up and down. Notices the holes and all the improper spacing in the cords. He claps Silver on the back and says "looks good!"
