Just Pretend Universe

Here you will find all of the stories that take place in the Just Pretend universe! The main series is a Noah Sebastian x Musician! Reader fic with a few spin offs with Matt Dierkes and Jolly Karlsson! The spin-offs can be read as a standalone but you might be a tad confused.

I plan to add more to this master list once I start writing more spin-offs!

If anyone wants to read it in chronological order with all the spin-offs, this is the reading order:

JP chapters 1-22

Unveiled Hearts: it kind of intertwines with chapter 25 of JP.

Boundless: can be read honestly whenever after UH because it’s basically a standalone smut fic.

Dreamstate: Noah finds himself stuck in a void of dreamstate.[takes place between chapters 29 and 30 in Just Pretend]

Unveiled Hearts-Matt and Faye still can’t confess their feelings for each other. Crossing the line from friends to lovers could change the dynamics of the tour of the Concrete Jungle. An accidental kiss reveals the truth hidden behind small smiles and laughter. They both know that the smart thing would be to forget it ever happened. But some kisses are so spectacular that they change everything.

Boundless- Faye has a secret fantasy that she wants to act out with Matt, who has a proposition for her in return.

All Eternity-Matt has a promise to prove to Faye.

Oialë-Matt meets up with Faye at a familiar place.

Fika-To appease her dying father’s wishes, Astrid takes over the family coffee shop: Fïka. Plans to restore it to its former glory: setting her dreams and ambitions aside- that is until she meets an unexpected stranger. This very stranger changes the trajectory of her life PART ONE | PART TWO

Headcanon that Billy is not only immune to the magical lightning that helps him transform, but he’s also immune to normal lightning and all other forms of electricity.

At first, the realization is super cool. Billy doesn’t get hurt by static electricity anymore. He’s immune to Freddy’s hand buzzer pranks. He even gets 200 bucks from some big shot teenagers that dared him to touch an electric fence.

The problem comes when he tries to catch the bus in the rain one day and gets struck by REAL lightning. In front of dozens of people. Who are not supposed to know he’s immune to lightning. And Billy is very bad at improv.

Billy: *gets struck by lightning*

i feel like in s13 they were really losing the plot. like what do you mean jack and mary are trapped in an alternate dimension where michael is hot but evil and to get them back the rest of tfw has to do a spell they don’t even think will work because they don’t know asmodeus kept gabriel hidden away for years like rapunzel so he’ll conveniently be around to help but first cas has to go to syria and get married to the djinn queen while sam and dean live out an actual mafia movie and all three of them get trapped in a cartoon because of an evil real estate manager and then to get the last ingredient for the spell they have to fight a tentacle porn monster from another alternate dimension, all while lucifer is shacking up with danneel ackles and successfully taking over heaven? oh and sam and dean were stuck in jurassic world for a bit and donatello went insane via chicken wings

How it feels to not like timebomb after s2

#I'M NOT A HATER I SWEAR I ACTUALLY REALLY LIKE IT ON PAPER #i do however think that it came literally out of nowhere and was hella rushed and kinda ridiculous #like. if the argument is that original ekko fell in love with jinx it doesn't make sense because they were enemies for most of their lives #if the argument is that current ekko fell in love with au powder and now projects these feelings on jinx it's kinda uh. messed up #because she's a whole different person. entirely. it doesn't matter if both these version started out as a 9-year old powder. they had #extremely different lives and experiences and thinking that “there's still this kind of powder in jinx deep down” is straight-up awful #OR even if he didn't project his feelings for powder on jinx why would he love her in the current universe? last time they met she blew them #up and now she wants to commit suicide. there's literally no reason for him to have any kind of feelings except the slight friendly #affection that's left from all those years ago. and yet the show and most importantly the fandom treats them like a couple??? i don't get it #also it's kinda insane that s2 turned jinx and ekko into flat shipping material #again. obviously i have nothing against the shippers and do not condemn it in any way. i'm just expressing my thoughts on the matter #also what pisses me off the most. is how in ep9 jinx in fully painted with ekko's symbols here and there. has the bandage (?) on her chest #like vi. has a hood that looks like a drawing that isha made. and yet there's no fishbones or any reference to silco at all #i mean. i get it s2 hates him but i can't help it #they gave her all these relationships and pretended that they're significant to her and yet they didn't have any proper development #to really earn it #arcane critical #arcane season 2 #anti timebomb #jinx arcane #ekko arcane

I've come to the conclusion that being assigned the fandom-mandated "sunshine character" is the worst possible fate a character could face

#maybe I'm just biased because the characters that this happens to tend to be some of my favorites but I think I'm onto something #these characters aren't allowed depth of emotion or complex inner worlds. once a character is fanonized as the 'ray of sunsine'#or the 'cinnamon roll' they cease to occupy any space outside of that role in fanon content. they're happy & silly & not much else #no matter how much depth they may actually have in canon.#popular fanon has a tendency to treat happiness & goodness like states without any emotional complexity.#emotional complexity is reserved for the anti-heroes & jerks-with-a-heart-of-gold you see.#atp 'X is a ray of sunshine' has begone to feel like code for 'I don't actually care about this character very much nor do I understand #their canon narrative so I'm just gonna ignore them 98% of the time. but hey they're really nice! that's something! anyways—'#this is about many characters but I particularly want to call out aang & nightcrawler / kurt wagner as two who get this the worst.#because christ the mischaracterization they get from people who never think about them outside of the 'uwu small bean' box is infuriating #also steven universe & miles morales. although it's not so bad for steven after suf #fandom bs #please pretend I typed 'begun' a few tags back
