Me, every time I think more and more about having OSDD and exactly how far back it may actually go.
I know for a FACT late in life trauma absolutely affected my sense of self and plurality. That's a given. It also took my neurodivergancy up quite a few notches, but that's another story.
I also know I got a lot of things from childhood that I've been realizing over the past few years where actually traumatic, and I've got a whole bag full of trauma responses as proof. Doesn't mean it gave me a CDD, but I can't deny trauma is there at the very least.
But I also know that without a doubt, the plurality I was experiencing prior to my later trauama was entirely an endogenic experience. Every single interaction matches up with what we currently know about plurality outside of CDDs.
So. Once I get to finally sharing all our "lore" with someone who can accurately diagnose what's going on up in this skull, and if it turns out they think I've had a CDD prior to my late 20s, I still don't think I'd ever drop the mixed origin label. Because the plurality I was experiencing back then vs now is still wildly different. I don't think its ableist of me to think this way because it would be more ableist of me to assume that someone with a CDD can't also experience concepts like the multiple selves theory, Jungian archetypes, or creative muses. The sense of self and how we interact with our own understanding of the self and subconscious is not limited to if you do or do not have a CDD. Sure, things become wildly more complex with a CDD, but I wouldn't say it's impossible to still experience endogenic plurality in a pure state before or after a CDD becomes fully apparent or alters develop. I don't think it's wrong to use both to describe your system or plural experience as a whole. Origins are honestly stupid to debate over. I just like being able to share and relate with others. Talking about how endogenic and traumagenic plurality can coexist brings me a lot of dopamine and gets my little fox brain doing the silly thing like in the gif. It's simply, fun.
People don't have to use labels. I just want to stop seeing people throw out how ableist it is to use a label that best matches an experience. Are people just pissed at the label? Or are people pissed at the implications? Or just pissed at seeing different experiences? Why can't we just have nice discussions? I LOVE seeing similar experiences to mine on Tumblr and I don't give a damn on what label they choose to use. I just want discussions on similarities, differences, what helps, what doesn't, and the ilk. Discussions bring about progress and understanding. Hate don't do shit.

You know thise empty sayings? Like "One life to live" and YOLO and all of those? We hear them every day. But I dont think we process them. This is it. We have one chance to do this the way we want.
I read somewhere the other day "do what makes you happy, because you wont get to restart." And it kind of all hit me like a truck.
No do overs. 10 more years from now, nothing will be fundamentally different. I wont suddenly be rich and calm and mentally balanced. There is no turning point, I'm not suddenly going to turn 40 or whatever and be like "Hot damn everything is finally paying off." Because its not going to.
I've been working my whole life towards pleasing everyone around me. Get a good job, work hard, pay taxes, get a credit card. Blah blah blah. Its so fucking stupid and boring.
Spend money on stocks, invest. No, I'm going to buy art for my walls and tattoos and crafting supplies to send my friends painfully ornate letters.
I have been living my entire life dictated by others judgement. What they think is right. But theyre broke, theyre depressed, and they're probably not any happier than I am.
This all sounds so basic, but this was an honest to god turning point for me. I am going to actively work toward my happiness, and if you dont like my decision? Sounds like a you problem.
I need to focus on my happiness.

thinking about how the extra area added on to a pacifist run of undertale, the true lab, is about alphys's past mistakes. how it ends with the story reaffirming that, despite the pain she's caused, the thing that matters is that she has now made the choice to do the right thing. she's still worthy of her friends' love.
thinking about how undertale doesn't expect the player to get a pacifist ending for the first time. how it's more likely than not that the player will kill toriel the first time they battle her, how lots of players don't initially figure out how to end undyne's fight without killing her, etc. what it expects — not even expects, really, but hopes — is that the player, if they care enough, will use their canonically acknowledged power over time to make up for those mistakes.
no matter how many neutral runs a player has done before committing to the pacifist run, the thing that matters to the characters, to the story, is that you've chosen, now, to do the right thing.
compared to alphys, the player honestly gets off lightly, in that you're the only one (other than flowey) who really remembers any harm you might have caused. and any direct guilting the game could have done about it is long past at this point. instead, as undertale often does, it makes its point via parallels: alphys caused harm, and she knows it. she has committed to being better. in doing so, she has unlocked for herself a better ending to her story. and she deserves it. she's forgiven.
those structural narrative parallels are all over undertale, if you know where to look. and that's one of the things that makes it so fuckin' good.

so I know a lot of star wars fics use flimsi or datapads to indicate when someone has a lot of work to do (piles of datapads, endless flimsiwork etc) and while all that is well and good, even today a lot of stuff is actually digital, and i imagine it would be even moreso in the future.
however with everything digital you would still need more screen space to be able to keep track of it, which is one of the reasons a lot of people have two monitors these days.
all that is to say: behold! fox's desk:

The Bear s1 e6
Carmy and Richie share a cigarette after the window gets shot out. Richie reveals his daughter asked if his last name was Bad News, as that us what her mother has him as in her phone.
"She says I only call when I have bad news."
Imagine telling people your bad news. Imagine communicating properly. My family would probably have a party if I came to them even with bad news.
My first response is to laugh. They did this to themselves, never wanting to listen to me as I was growing up. Didn't have time for me.
Just one more trauma response. Just one more thing I have to scream into the void rather than communicate to someone. Just one more problem I randomly heap on the people I care about when I can't handle it myself anymore.

Andrew is the favorite uncle. Not just for Aaron and Nicky’s kids but all the foxes kids are just obsessed with uncle Andrew.
None of the foxes understand why except for Neil. But that only because Neil is there when Andrew gets up at three am to answer a phone call from their sobbing niece, who admits for the first time out loud that maybe she isn’t a boy and “is that okay uncle Andrew”. Or when Kevin’s kid shows up at there house after getting in an argument with her dad and Andrew lets her rage and rant until it doesn’t seem like the end of the world anymore, then walks her home (hc: they live pretty close for a while cause their on the same team). Or when nobody can get Aaron’s twins to stop crying but as soon as Andrew is given a turn at trying to calm the babies they stop immediately.
The kids all love Andrew he’s the first one they go to with their issues, he’s the first one they run too when all the foxes are together, he’s the first one that they come out too if they’re queer(Nicky is so mad when his kid comes out to Andrew before him)
He’s just a really good uncle.

This is what Kenshi sees when he goes visit his husband's AU.
Some good old redesigns to slowly get me back to drawing! - half of these are @dolce-tenebra-toscana 's designs, the other half are mine based off hers.
