So the best thing about Pitch actually being a Good Guy™️is that he's totally in charge of fear, yeah? And well, Elsa's childhood was basically filled with that. Which is a contrast to Anna, who is fearless and also very easily distracted. She's so sweet :)

Moving on i think Pitch might actually be the first of the guardians elsa meets, because that's how the scene reads so far. But then i might also have to redo a couple of the Jack notes i've got, because i've only been actually writing scenes that are from elsa's leg of the plot for some reason. (it's probably because i rewatched F2 to recall the plot the other day. i had to rewatch the first scene like, three times to catch the grandfather's name - which is no longer a problem!! thanks again for the link to the family tree Pen!!)

So yeah, elsa and pitch is my current pitch :) we need some shadow-light imagery and besties, too often is the imagery used for romantic purposes and i think they could just be friends, so that's my justification ig.

You know what I love more than just heroes and villains going up against each other is when the hero and villain have a certain respect and acknowledgement to the other, have a special relationship or connection with the other, or just a general interest that's between just THOSE TWO GUYS and not anybody else Grandfather Spider Morganthe Schismist Soldier Duncan Grimwater

Like I could easily see the YW teaming up with almost any of those people (see: only GFS and Morganthe the other two are crazy) not out of maliciousness or because they switched sides but because they're just compatible with them in ways where it just makes sense. Like for example the YW fighting back-to-back with Morganthe or having in depth magical discussions with her because we understand her on a level no one else does. Like in a crazy season finale where the Savior of the Spiral would not even Dream of Ever Working With Those Ruffians but when they have to they're like so magical (no pun intended) together because they just click. Like in the original Teen Titans where Deathstroke and Robin were like fighting in Hell together and they were on the SAME WAVELENGTH despite being bitter enemies THAT'S THE SHIT I LIKE. I think maybe that's the reason why I resonate more with these guys than Malistaire because imo it's just so much more interesting and emotional when we get two people on opposite sides of the morale scale able to come together and work so fluently. This is also me saying I want a Schismist Soldier and YW Roommate Sitcom.

i know i've posted these panels before but honestly rereading this entire arc has me absolutely rebawling over and over again. out of all the siblings in sv, il.dio and lawl.ess's dynamic will always be my fave. simply because lawl.ess took il.dio in from his rebirth into being a vampire and tried to teach him the right, stood up for him when the count was going to send him back to being someones pawn ( especially bc he was going to be goaded into a serv.amp / eve contract with him without ild.ios full understanding ), if only to lead them both in an understood shared grief they were unable to face or name. lawl.ess saw his words drive il.dio insane, but it's this moment that il.dio confirms that was never the case - it was his own inability to understand or put word to his grief that ended up in his own warped sense of freedom; a fact they both understand better than anyone around.
