i struggle to say if this relationship would actually be romantic or not, at most y'all aren't official but hang out a lot

feeling angsty and low-key kinda want to say junko kills you(or rather makes him kill you) so he can feel despair, but idk how well that would work,,, so i'll leave you with that

if you don't somehow die, and instead turn to despair then you'd end up cooped up in some room, or glued to junko's hip because that would cause the most despair

You and Mukuro met awhile back, when she joined the Fenrir Mercenary Group to be exact.

Mukuro was doing her daily patrol around the base, making sure there were no threats, and that’s when she saw you… lost and injured.

You were a tourist who had unfortunately gotten lost from your family and landed up near the Fenrir base, prompting a hostile interrogation from Mukuro.

After she made sure you weren’t a threat, she is quick to take you back to the base to patch your injuries up. Effortlessly carrying you bridal style.

Her hands were steady and deliberate as she places bandages on your knees, arms, and anywhere else that might need them. You can imagine her surprise when after she put the first aid kit back, she sees you holding a blue braided bracelet.

She hesitantly held it in her hand as you explained it was a thank you… Her fingers graze the soft thread, eyebrows raised ever so slightly.

From then on she was hooked to you, even if she didn’t realize it at first.

Since your vacation still wasn’t over, you would visit Mukuro whenever you could, joining her as she patrolled the area or did any of her regular duties. Those moments were probably the happiest Mukuro’s ever felt, just being by your side made her feel so weirdly giddy… A very new feeling for her.

Alas, good things never last, and she was called up by Junko to continue their despair plans. Leaving a very distraught Mukuro to say goodbye to you…

No matter how much time has passed since that day, Mukuro made a silent vow to never take that bracelet off. Never once had she stopped thinking about you either.

Junko and her kept working on the Tragedy, and eventually learned of Jin Kirigiri’s plan to seal all the students inside of the school for their safety. And of course, as fate would have it, you were one of the students.

You were an exchange student who came right before the tragedy occurred. Mukuro didn’t even realize you would also be sealed with all of them until you had transferred at the last minute, in a way, it was an immense relief and one of the worst things that could’ve happened…

You were safe from the tragedy, but not safe from the killing game… Something Mukuro helped to create and yet desperately wants to shelter you from.

The chance of you surviving even the first few trials was low, and Mukuro didn’t want to risk that chance, but as always, she was far too conflicted to disobey Junko.

So you stayed in the killing game…, not without Mukuro keeping an eye on you though. Sure, she had to act the part of Junko, but that wouldn’t stop her from being near you at all times.

She was the first to introduce herself to you and would more often than not, scare anyone else who wanted to talk to you off. You would have to rely on Junko then…, you would have to rely on her.

Did I mention she’s totally in love with you? Sure, she might’ve been interested in you long before the killing game, but getting to be so close to you has really shown her how much she likes you. You are the only sense of relief she gets from Junko, the others, the tragedy, all of it, you get her.

She even tries to subtly give you information on how to stop this whole killing game… even though you don’t get it most of the time and it earns her a look from Junko, she still does it as she wants you to be safe.

Any piece of jewelry you give her immediately either goes on some part of her body or in a special box. She cherishes every piece with her life and will gladly listen to you explain all the different types of jewelry, different materials, and anything else you can ramble about.

It’s honestly the one time she’s glad to be Junko because she hide her obsession interest in you under the guise of her being a fashionista.

She will also totally freak out if she either loses or breaks a piece of jewelry you give her. She might be weirdly silent and seemingly calm, but internally she is losing it.

If she somehow manages to tell you she lost/broke it, no matter how much you try to console her, she will just keep apologizing. Losing or breaking one of them is like losing/breaking a part of you.

Speaking of your jewelry being a part of you, she will go into your room in the middle of the night to admire you and steal some of your jewelry, nothing big, but just whatever can fuel her desires.

God forbid anybody tries to flirt with you, she will be having a word with them.

It’s so weird how the person who was just flirting with you the other day has woken up with a ton of stab wounds…, thankfully no one died! (She totally wanted to murder them, but it would conflict with the killing game-)

Mukuro does not trust any of your classmates in the slightest, she just knows they want to hurt you and she won’t stand for it! (She’s delusional)

And yet…, she was right. She managed to survive being attacked by Monokuma and overheard Sayaka’s (Sorry girl-) plan to murder you after the motive videos were released.

Mukuro was less than thrilled with that to say the least…

Less then thrilled, as in she doesn’t hesitate before murdering Sayaka, even though it lead to a pissed Junko. Throughout the whole game she watched how in love Mukuro was with you, and although that usually gives her a great opportunity to inflict more despair into the world, Mukuro messed with the killing game.

Junko didn’t hesitate before trash talking you as soon as Mukuro went to her, not sparing any insult or jab she could make at you.

Now, normally Mukuro would just have to grit her teeth and bare this, after all, she has always obeyed Junko. But this time…, hearing her trash talk you when she knows how wonderful you are, how good and pure of a person you are….

She couldn’t stop herself from attacking Junko.

It’s not that this was a total surprise to Junko, but she honestly couldn’t believe the gull Mukuro had to attack her for you of all people. What happened to loyalty!?

It was harsh and difficult fight, Mukuro was the ultimate soldier after all, but Junko was also the ultimate analyst. It took a long time before Mukuro was ultimately able to catch Junko off guard and land the final blow.

A devastating end to the Despair Sisters, and yet an ending Junko was actually thrilled about.

Mukuro wanted to say the death of her sister saddened her, but that would be lie. She was no longer a threat to you and that was all that mattered.

…

The others were a different story though.

It had been days after the Junko incident since Monokuma had moved, he just sat in the gym with that creepy smile on his face… Even touching him didn’t do anything! He was just lifeless.

Everyone was confused on what to do exactly…, was the threat over? Could they go home?

They all decided to try and investigate, maybe this one of Monokuma’s tricks? It really started to kick in that something was wrong when they saw Sayaka’s body on the floor of her room…

Everyone, including you, were starting to freak out. No one knew who exactly killed her, but they all were very aware the killer was standing amongst them.

Although the two biggest threats to your safety were out of the way, Mukuro couldn’t help but worry. With everyone freaking out and accusing each other, she knew very well that you could be accused and hurt by the others.

So, she did the only thing she knew how to do, the one things she was good at.

One by one, people starting disappearing. It started with Toko, then moved onto Makoto, and so on. Eventually, you and Mukuro were the only ones left… Leaving you incredibly traumatized and paranoid that you could be next, and leaving a very happy Mukuro.

It took so much bloodshed, and yet you were finally safe. You were safe with her in the confines of the school without another person in sight.

She tries to help you calm down by comforting you and distracting you by helping make jewelry, although she is truly awful at it. Whatever helps take your mind off the current situation, she will do it.

She also gets to finally take off her disguise as Junko and gets to be herself, a total shock to you but also strangely nice to know there was one person you could “count on.”

She would never tell you the atrocities it took to make these moment happen between the two of you.

You guys spend the rest of your lives at Hope’s Peak Academy and Mukuro and eventually works up the courage to confess to you. And in your current position…, you had to accept it.

Sometimes she wonders how it’s possible she could like someone so much.

A/N: Hopefully this is okay, I don’t write yanderes often so I’m kind of bad at it-

So someone meta-ed a while back about Bell's Hells and being able to carry pieces of FCG with them, how they are able to do this because he's a robot and not a human, how it's less violent than it would be if he were human, how it's clean.

And it got me thinking about the Remnants of Despair.

So - short explanation for those of you who don't Critical Role - but one of the characters, FCG (Fresh Cut Grass), a robot, heroically self-sacrificed himself to save the party, taking down one of their biggest recurring threats while doing so. Afterward, the party scavenged the pieces of him that they could - his head, the plate with the slashes in it, etc. - and then even later, when they started their new costume designs, some of them literally incorporated pieces of him into their new wardrobe and are literally now wearing pieces of him.

It's bits of metal, but it's also a corpse.

They are wearing FCG's corpse, and it's okay for them to do so because he's a robot and that's metal.

But if he had been human, we would have a much more visceral and disgusted and disturbing reaction to them wearing his skin or his hair or his skull or his bones or twisting any of that into their new clothes. Taking his skin and turning it into armor. Using his bones as equipment. Using his skull as a new helmet.

Because he's a robot, because he's metal, it's cleaner, and we don't think about it in the same way we would a human corpse.

But this is what the Remnants of Despair did, in effect, with Junko's body.

Fuyuhiko took Junko's eye and made it his own.

Nagito took her arm and replaced his with it.

Mikan took her womb and carved it into herself.

(Who knows what all Imposter took; who knows what Teruteru was allowed to consume.)

And we look at it and think this is disgusting and disturbing because you don't treat people that way.

But you can treat people that way when they aren't human.

It's this idea of the Remnants taking the strongest member of them all, who died when they believe she shouldn't have, and taking her into themselves to make themselves stronger, and we are disgusted with that because Junko's human, but Bell's Hells can do the same thing with FCG and we consider that honorable and right because he's not human.

But that's still a corpse.

Both ways, that's still a corpse being looted for parts.

Ngl, I want to see an interaction between Angie and Junko so badly. (Warning that this post is going to mention cults a lot. Also warning that it's going to be kind of OOC because it's a brainstorm.)

Specifically, imagining if Angie and Junko were both at Hope's Peak at the same time. Angie being almost the only one who knows what Junko's up to.

If we're taking in-game characterization at face value, maybe they're both starting different ideological/spiritual movements at the same time. They cross paths every now and then, and Angie's like, "You won't win, you know~. God has chosen this school to be a place of good, not evil. 😊"

Junko could play coy, but first of all if we're counting the anime as canon it seems like she was pretty much never not being obviously evil, and second of all even if we're not counting the anime as canon I could see her making the calculation that she has nothing to lose engaging with Angie semi-honestly, if they're alone. So maybe she goes, "You think everyone you sway to your side believes in the same idea of good and evil as you? How naive. As long as you teach them not to think for themselves, you're priming them for me. You think you're taking them out of play, but really you're just making them more vulnerable."

Angie giggles. "You're so silly, senpai! Angie never told anyone not to think for themselves." With a joyous but penetrating gaze, she continues, "If your goal is to hate yourself half as much as God loves you, you'll never succeed, you know!"

Junko could go a lot of ways; she could go Sad Mode and say, "I wish I could hate myself. A feeling like that might be kind of exciting." Or she might go Cute Mode and say, "Aww! I've never had an underclassman try to psychoanalyze me before!" Or neither of those. Honestly, I'm writing this post mostly because I'm trying to brainstorm how Junko might react to Angie, on the premise that she doesn't just blow her off as insignificant. Both Junko and Angie are characterized as extremely competent at seeing a person's innermost wants and vulnerabilities. It would be cool to have them see through each other. (Though of course, obligatory "But Angie didn't see through [so-and-so]," and arguably the same for Junko.)

My very first thought was of someone like Mukuro asking Junko, "Is Yonaga creating her own cult a problem for us?"

And Junko sarcastically going, "Oh you're right, how can I possibly sow corruption into an extreme religious movement?"

But it's fully reasonable to say that outside of a killing game Angie just kind of wouldn't start a cult because she wouldn't feel threatened enough to do that. I view Angie as a cult survivor who exhibited cult behaviors in the killing game because she didn't know another way to express her fear without interpreting it as a lack of faith, so a more healing version of her school days would have her unlearning some of the stuff the was raised with (And, if I were keeping with my own personal headcanons, beginning to engage with her own culture outside the paradigm of the cult that appropriated it.) and being able to identify the threat of despair earlier than some because she knows what to look for.

It would still be cool for her and Junko to talk, though.

Hiro: screaming like there’s no tomorrow, praying to whatever is out there and is frozen in place, refusing to move until the spier leaves or someone comes to save him

Junko: loves bungs because of the despair they bring to both her and other people. Was the kid who used to burn ants with a magnifying glass

Celeste: loves spiders. Has a pet tarantula. A truly unbothered queen

Sakura: calmly picks up the spider and places it outside

Hifumi: also screaming for help. If the spider goes on one of his anime figures, he will be going through the five stages of grief

Mondo: throwing anything and everything at the spider in an attempt to kill it. Fucking terrified

Chihiro: scared but will leave the spider alone and let it do it’s thing

Taka: terrified and wants it out of his room as fast as possible but also doesn’t want to kill it, harm it in any way or touch it really. It’s a real issue every time that usually ends in him calling for Mondo and him screaming at him to not kill it

Byakuya: “you’re all such babies. Who would be scared of a little thing like a spider?🙄” “there’s a spider in your hair.” “OH MY GOD GET IT OFF!!!!!”

Toko: either finds spiders interesting or hates them. If it’s the latter, she’s calling for Byakuya to get rid of it who just ends up joining her on the highest surface to try and escape it

Genocide Jill: loves spiders, thinks they’re cool as heck. Especially the poisonous ones. Her favourite spider is the black widow

Leon: grabbing his baseball bat and is going on a mission. Any property damage done in the process was a necessary casualty

Sayaka: jumping on the nearest table and screaming for help. However, she will also demand that the person who came to her rescue doesn’t kill the spider and just takes it outside

Makoto: shaking so much while getting it under a cup and a bit of paper underneath. If the spider moves, he will scream

Kyoko: literally touches dead bodies for a living. She’s picking it up and taking it outside while judging everyone

Hina: challenging that spider to a battle and going on a killing mission. Whatever was closest to her at the time is her weapon

Talentswap AU - Lil Concept Rant

I love the power of developing your own AU because it can be as self-indulgent as you want.

i.e. While fleshing out alternate talents for some of the characters, had the idea to take Sayaka Maizono's self-proclaimed "psychic" line and have it treated seriously, so she's the Ultimate/SHSL Fortune Teller in my AU. And I imagine a spinoff where the only reason this AU is non-despair is because Sayaka had predicted the potential for despair and helped prevent it (and it isn't Junko- who's the Ultimate Actress in this AU, with Mukuro being the Ultimate Imposter- but a Reserve Course Makoto who's going through it).

Also I think I'm so funny, I find nothing more hilarious than Miu being the Ultimate Accountant. Yes you may flame me for it HAHA but I WILL make a sprite edit and no one can stop me (you should it's gonna be so bad I can't draw ;^; but messy bun with glasses!Miu rights).

I wanna write a fic from my Mastermind AU where Takaaki is brushing Monomi and Junko's hair before they get put up in their usual pigtails and they wonder how he can brush hair so well. So he tells them that when he was...younger, he had longer hair and practiced how to brush hair better without it hurting. And he also used to brush Taka's hair when he was also...younger.

Then he'll continue to fix up their hair and put them in it usual style.

The sudden thought of a literally starving Junko with Teruteru, though.

Not in a shipping sense, just how they interact.

Teruteru gets knocked out of his constant ogling because he can see the lines of starvation etched into her skin. There's when you want to look good as a model, and then there's being so thin that your skin merely wraps bones, when your cheekbones are so sharp merely because your cheeks themselves are hollow.

And that's not attractive to him.

Might be attractive to plenty of other people, but the Ultimate Chef? No. You can be gorgeous and eat.

So Teruteru constantly trying to fill everything he cooks for her with extra something to cling to her bones because he knows she won't eat much, but at least this tiny portion will make it farther than every other tiny portion, and he doesn't understand how she has so much energy to do everything when she must be so exhausted all the time, and he doesn't see her faint with exertion, but he knows about it, he hears about it, and Mikan might have her strung up on IVs, might teach her how to use them if she needs them on any given day, but that's not the same as actually eating, you need to eat, Junko.

And maybe his despair isn't sexually motivated at all. It's that no matter what he does, he can't save the one person who needs it most; he, the Ultimate Chef, who can concot food so tantalizing your mouth waters just from scent alone, so compelling that you have to take a bite, and once you have one bite, you can't stop - he can't get any of that to do what it needs to do with Junko.

And it doesn't matter what he makes, she still. won't. eat.

Not enough. Never enough.

(He sees her in the Game, and she's the thinnest he's ever seen her, and he realizes that he was having some effect, they all were, and that's the worst thing of all, because she'd gone where they couldn't help her anymore.)
