Finally got the talentswap designs I have for the THH characters one and done with! You can click through the read more section for some fun design insights. I'm intending on uploading a doc containing short lore bits about them eventually.

Kyoko Kirigiri - Ultimate Affluent Progeny

So Kyoko's design was both kinda simple, kinda not, wanted to give her a very fine and regal kinda attitude to her but not arrogant as that's very much Byakuya's thing. Her story is that she loves her dad more than the family business and her grandpa so she abandons detective work and just uses her brain to help her dad out.

Makoto Naegi - Ultimate Novelist

Makoto is a wonderful guy, just great all around. He loves writing children's books and happy stories. This is his main coping mechanism so he doesn't have to process any negative emotions he gets, the rest he can't process… well they go into a murderous psychopath alter.

Aoi Asahina - Ultimate Lucky Student

Shoujo protagonist Aoi. Cute, headstrong, affective, competitive, these are all the traits that make her fight for her friends and clash with Kyoko (and more often than not Byakuya) in the killing game, even when all hope seems lost… she pushes through, unafraid to let tears spill from her eyes for all those lost, but pushing all the same.

Byakuya Togami - Ultimate Detective

This one, I wanna go into more lore territory, cause I kinda memed around his last desc I gave him so here goes:

"A disgraced heir of the Togami household, Byakuya lost the competition that would've secured his riches. Disdainful and bitter, he sought out to get to the bottom of why he lost, uncovering a rabbit hole in the process. By the end, he proved his sibling a cheater, but it didn't matter because by the end as he found the sweet satisfaction of uncovering secrets and crushing liars and cheaters under the weight of their hubris far more satisfying than any inheritance."

Sayaka Maizono - Ultimate Spirit Medium

So Sayaka isn't a clairvoyant at all like Yasuhiro, in fact her entire skillset is completely different, first of all she is like an actual psychic, and I based her design off of the japanese Itako, quite loosely. Very interesting group, look it up, also she'll never use these powers in the killing game because I dunno how to even approach these rituals or what they look like or how to write them while remaining respectful, so she won't do it in a killing game for the express reason of her not having the right tools available and not wanting to disrespect her traditions.

Leon Kuwata - Ultimate Swimmer

I really wanna draw him again, all these characters again tbh, and I wanna show off the patterns on his wetsuit. It's a whole coral reef under there, that anemone and clownfish bit is only one part of a whole reef stretching his midline.

Sakura Ogami - Ultimate Programmer

Sakura has installed chips into her body to help optimize her body processes and also cause why not. As for the muscles, she's an Assembly programmer, the programs she's made can run on calculators she loves it.

Chihiro Fujisaki - Ultimate Martial Artist

Chihiro's design here with the two belts is an explicit nod to his preferred martial art - Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, so unlike Sakura in canon who'd be easy to imagine cracking someone's skull in half with a chop, Chihiro's approach is more crawling onto someone and bringing them down to the floor with grappling like an angry halfling monk. As for the belts themselves, on his head is his final junior belt, while around his waist is his current belt, he's not a black belt yet because he's still too young for it.

Celestia Ludenberg - Ultimate Baseball Star

Celestia actually isn't a legend in this AU, Taeko is. Celestia hates that and wants to start a baseball career going international, whatever the hell that means is up to her own definition, but she wants to be remembered forever as Celestia, not Taeko. Also extra sentence, but this is the SINGLE hardest design I've ever had to deal with here, I think in the future I'll be drawing all her little accessories and I have an alt costume for her I have in mind.

Hifumi Yamada - Ultimate Pop Star

So I changed Hifumi's story as I originally outlined in the OG post with him. He was friends with Aoi all his life, pretty much his only friend at all, and ever since he was little he had an obsession with writing songs, because he was obsessed with stuff like anime openings and was content to just keep the songs to himself. It wasn't till Aoi convinced him to share some of his songs that he started his journey to success, but bc he's not traditionally attractive, his first hits were literally just… his voice being played over other more attractive singers and it wasn't until very very recently that he even performed a song of his for the first time.

Toko Fukawa - Ultimate Fanfic Writer

So while Hifumi was clearly a Doujinshi but due to weird translation, ended up as fanfic creator, Touko is straight up a FF then Wattpad then AO3 girl, who would get obsessed with this really shitty, tripe manga that she didn't even like reading. It did however have super hot dudes in it, so she wrote good stories of those characters when she got frustrated with the actual authorial content - which was always.

Yasuhiro Hagakure - Ultimate Gambler

Quite LITERALLY the never stop gambling meme personified into a guy. He can lose 3 mil on slot machines but always comes out fine because it means if he keeps gambling he'll eventually run into his 1/3 and win giga millions, what he needs to pay off his debts. It isn't just with luck though either because his personality and lack of intelligence or understanding of most the rules of the games he plays means he'll never react the way he should when getting a good hand in poker or a bad draw in blackjack, so he wins those games almost always through just… stupidity.

Mukuro Ikusaba - Ultimate Biker

She's number 16 in her gang, and is easily the most loyal enforcer and taskman of the gang. She does anything she's told, to a grim and disciplined degree not typical for hooligan bike gangers, she doesn't really desire a seat as top dog of the gang though, after all she's got school to worry about, and her sister.

Mondo Owada - Ultimate Warlord

So his relationship and Kiyotaka's is gonna be interesting, because I don't want him to be exactly like Mukuro at all, who was just sort of an all-obsessed Yandere. It's more like he's always chafing under Taka, who is less than friendly with him in this AU, really the main way he even lets Taka boss him around is because he pays incredibly well and helps keep his gang members from devolving back into the unstructured, chaotic criminal life, the same that took his brother years ago.

Oh and yeah, he still looks like Guile, as he should.

Sparkling Justice - Ultimate Killer Killer

Yeah it's a reference to Killer Killer, sue me I love the manga. He has Hajirahara's ahoge, and I thought it'd be cute to also give him a mask just like the other Makoto from a Kodaka game series (Raincode.) Also, while Genocide jack stuffs all her scissors in her skirt, Makoto keeps a truth gun with "truth bullets" as his main weapon, the gun he stores inside the big book in the chibi of just Makoto, and the bullets kept on his person as the red buttons all over his body, which he pulls out when he needs to reload.

"Kiyotaka Ishimaru" - Ultimate Fashionista

Unlike Mukuro and Junko, Mondo absolutely cannot hide the fact that he acts nothing like Kiyotaka, though this is surprisingly fine to everyone else, because unlike Junko who plastered herself onto literally everything, Mondo always obfuscated himself from the public spotlight, at most showing only his suits while he hid his face behind something conveniently placed. Which played primarily to his vision of an ultimate fashionista, who was above everyone and catered to the rich and powerful.

Junko Enoshima - Ultimate Moral Compass

This was a fun one, I decided to let her have her red hair because I believe it to be the "natural" look of her hair, while attaching little clips of dyed hair to her buns as a replacement to keep her shape sorta and keep the strawberry blonde somwehere on her. Understand that while she is the "moral compass" she is still pretty deranged, and the only reason she focuses so much on keeping everyone on their best behavior is because it's endlessly entertaining to her to make her fellow moral committee members upset when she blatantly makes a mockery of the rules while still keeping kids on their best behavior to make a point.

Kiyotaka Ishimaru - Ultimate Fashionista and Tyrant, the Iron Hand of Despair

Taka's design I wanted to sort of focus on this sort of, holier-than-thou idea, where I wanted to make him look a lot fancier and upper-class than Junko does in his standard highschool fit compared to him. I wanted him to have an upper-crust sort of look

Talentswap!!! [Ultimate Robot! Mondo]

Waves!!! This is one of the more in depth, well thought out ideas I have for a Talentswap AU :)) It's mainly Mondo, or M0-N40 focused ^^

Also heads up for major character death if you're sensitive to that! It'll make sense trust me,,

Mondo, or M0-N40; is the Ultimate Robot! His intended purpose is to understand human emotion and behavior, and what it means to be truly human. In other words, he's programmed to act as human as humanly possible. That is also the case given he has been built to look the part as well [albeit with some obvious indications that he isn't].

His creator, or who he calls his 'brother', is a talented mechanic! The fact he somehow built a robot from the ground up is quite the feat..! Man I sure do wonder how he managed to pull all that off-

Yeah okay so. Fun fact Daiya may or may not be a little mental but that's okay I forgive him. Instead of the Crazy Diamonds being a biker gang, they're instead an auto repair shop that fixes up cars, motorcycles... anything that has an engine! They still do biker things on the side, more as a hobby.

Mondo and Daiya go out for a joyride one night, and as fate would have it they get into a horrible accident, except; Daiya was a second too late. Unable to push his brother out of the way, he succumbs to death. And Daiya is heartbroken, inconsolable over the death of his younger brother, how he failed him.. Which that very guilt festers into an unexplainable deed. Taking the metaphorical remains of his brother, and vowing to put him back together. No matter how long it takes [spoiler alert, it takes 2 years].

M0-N40 has no idea that he is built to be an exact replica of a person who now rests six feet underground. He thinks he is his own person, his own being.. and sure! He has pre-established memories to help him integrate with the people around him but.. it doesn't mean anything, right?

Pretty proud of this one! Day 5: Roleswap/ Gifts- I wanted to choose Ultimates that still suit their personalities. I imagine Mondo goes around challenging every fighter he can after Daiya dies, to prove that he's stronger than Daiya and earned his place as the head of their dojo. (Diamond Dojo) Daiya having died during their last match similar to him dying during their race. Kiyotaka's grandfather in this case was a disgraced General, formerly regarded as a hero. Caught in a scandal, that ruins the family name with debt affecting them still. Kiyotaka wants to serve to restore his family's honor, work his way up the ranks, be a figure of authority who treats his men with respect, and prevents his men any unnecessary harm. Any chance he's gotten, he's gone to military camps/ school. Mondo seeing another ultimate who can fight wants to throw down with him so bad.

SDRA2 TALENTSWAP: Hibiki Otonokoji & Kanade Otonokoji

Hello again, I'm back to give more details of my talentswap au.

Naturally I could have gone in order but, most of the characters are not finished or half baked. So I decided to start with two characters I'm confident in presenting first. I hope no one minds that!

So some ideas were taken from here for this Talentswap

Hibiki Otonokoji - Ultimate Firefighter

Kanade Otonokoji - Ultimate Broker

Most of their backstory stays the same. Hibiki bullies Kanade due to feeling inferior, and Kanade gives in to it.

Kanade desired Hibiki's love & attention, even though she hated her, thus did whatever it took to keep Hibiki only reliant on her. Like: Setting their housepet dog free never to be seen again & blackmailing their childhood friend.

It wasn't until their former childhood friend exposed Kanade with online evidnece is where everything takes a turn.

Hibiki seeing this goes to confront Kanade, starting an arguement which results in Kanade accidentally starting a fire out of anger in the apartment they were in for an upcoming performence.

They would quickly run to evacuate but, Hibiki sees someone in danger and without a second thought jumps in to save them. Sucessfully getting them out of the building.

For such a brave act, Hibiki was held as a hero & even her parents praised.

When testifying, Hibiki told investigators what Kanade had did, with the evidence the supported the story, and the fact that Kanade had not returned home. A search was made for her

As for Kanade, she ran away and hadn't returned home. She saw on the news how much praise Hibiki was getting, being renouned as a hero for her bravery. Getting the love and attention from the media and her parents. It seemed like everyone loved her.

The same cannot be said for Kanade, nothing but haterd towards her. Stating she was a demon incarnated, even her parents denouced ever loving such her.

With this relevation, Kanade felt so unwanted and continue running away.

Eventually, with investigators not finding any trace of Kanade. Hibiki slowly accepted that she had lost her sister forever.

Due to the praise she got. Hibiki set her sights on being a firefighter. Soon being accepted as the Ultimate Firefighter.

Kanade eventually had to find ways to survive & not get caught in the streets.

Thankfully with her intellect, she was able to survive dangerous situations(Such as being taken by a gang and sold off in the black market or approached by creeps who wanted to take advantage of her)

She quickly got into Black Market business realizing she can benefit from it for survival.

And she does, thanks to her wit.(Starting off small of course) She became the go to person deals such as weaponry, assassinations, distribution, and etc.

Eventually she got scouted as the Ultimate Broker. Meaning if she refused to attend school. She could get a jail for life sentence or the death penalty for her prior and past crimes. (The ladder that is likely to happen)

But in a ironic cruel twist of fate. The sisters will reunite in the same classroom within the same class. A mockery towards Kanade and horrible surprise for Hibiki.

Junko:

Sorry for being boring. Lucky Student Junko lives in my head rent free. Anyways, I remember making a shitty edit of her that you can find here on Reddit (thanks for reposting it btw ok it’s been 5 years and I forgot about this lol), and I honestly still love it?? I also got fanart by WinWinRobin long ago and it’s so amazing! Much better than my own first edit and I still cherish it! I did use Robin’s version for inspiration for my new one because I would feel bad for reusing their design, especially the fact that I’m not on twitter anymore.

She’s still a gyaru through and through.

She’s…eccentric! Very eccentric. Very much like Ryoko but without much of the amnesia. Also, the switching personalities thing she does in Chapter 6 is instead here just doing poor imitations of her classmates.

Canonically, she doesn’t have listed likes or dislikes. But since this is a talent swap au, one listed dislike I would give her at least is boredom.

Her relationship with her sister Mukuro is both similar and different here to the original game. Mukuro is very protective of Junko and loves her dearly. Junko would still insult Mukuro (which Mukuro would be fine with btw), but it’s more teasing like with your sibling. They both love and care for each other, but to everyone, their relationship comes off as strange.

Makoto:

Gyaruo. No exceptions. Used Men’s Egg magazines to keep figure out his design.

Despite his talent (at first), he initially comes off describing himself as an “ordinary guy that doesn’t see himself as special” (even though he has a cavalcade of female fans that adore him).

Idk why but he would come off as a bit picky with his taste. Like food choice

Canonically, he likes trendy things. It’s so fitting to have him be literally the guy that tries fashion trends that interests him.

I do not want to make a repeat of Junko and how she acts. I do totally see a crash out of proportions that lead from him being a stressed out person who looks like a victim to a guy that loves to gaslight you into thinking you’re in the wrong with a fat smile on his face.

The killing game itself is more a test of luck I guess. Makoto is literally watching everyone like lab rats.

He was also the one who learned about Monokuma actually belonging to Junko. He thought the design, which I say is a part of a semi-popular plush line as my excuse, was cute, then straight up stole the design to create him and made Junko forget about him.

Komaru is involved in the mastermind plot yes. The disguise allows her to bind her chest and only she was allowed to use Makoto’s makeup kit (because she’s actually the one who does his makeup). Makoto would use her naivety and trust in him to his advantage to get her to create the killing game.

Gamer!Kaede HCs (+ some other Talentswap AU things)

My girl Kaede is 1000%:

Always tired because she stays up playing games and is on the grind 24/7

Is a streamer as well as takes classes at Hope's Peak (She does touch grass)

She loves rhythm games and dating sims, and her least favourite are fighting games and horror games (but she's still pretty good at them, although horror games scare her)

She doesn't like Just Dance. She's TERRIBLE at dancing, but she finds it a fun game regardless and enjoys it more seeing her friends being silly (Kokichi's gonna break his ankles and "Miu please don't break the controller") or the real dancing pros while playing (i.e. Maki and her ballet or Tenko with breakdancing)

Sometimes people will come up to her saying they recognize her because of her streams

She often deals with "why do you take games so seriously" and she's very passionate about games being about fun and enjoyment, but also knows how doing well on a leaderboard can be a part of that

She's 100% a perfectionist, she wants the S rankings and to top frag/be the winner and to unlock the best endings

She's also quite competitive but she's not the boastful type (unless she's playing against Kokichi whenever she can convince him to, because HE is the boastful type and she wouldn't miss an opportunity to put him in his place)

In the past she's been asked by other people to be the "carry" and at first it flattered her until it just became her doing all the work while they went AFK or gave her their phone/console, which was heavily isolating and upsetting for her

In that sense, she dislikes people who completely rely on her rather than just play the game, which is why she doesn't play multiplayer games as often unless she's off-stream and on an alt

Also she's been teased for liking games and called a "Game Freak" bc she enjoyed them but as she grew up games became more mainstream. She's still self-conscious about bringing up her passion though

She's super upbeat but will make references from time to time that some people may not catch about gaming

She also thinks in gaming references (i.e. Tsumugi's like an NPC) and not overly familiar with being social (she's a little awkward, just kind and used to having a persona that presents as social- courtesy of streaming)
