More Luci, this time helping Griffin with living in the 19th century as a trans man bc I want him to be comfortable in a very uncomfortable modified corset

Bit of lore:

Hyde has a very specific wardrobe because he hates how gendered clothes are sometimes

(he probably lands in the realm of gender fluid sometimes but he has no idea what that means so he’s just labeled his tastes as ‘eccentric’)

He actively goes out looking for some of the strangest clothing items, and whatever he can’t find he just pops down to soho and asks his good girl buddy if she can help him out with a fit or two.

Griffin learned pretty fast it’s much easier to shop for comfortable menswear when you know a guy who knows a seamstress who can tailor clothes to fit ones form better instead of just wearing clothes that either feel a little too tight around the chest for comfort or feels like your wearing a potato sack no matter how fine the clothings threads are

anyways i got a really cool concept for g3 jackson/holt cooking up, though i really only have the ingredients

basically jackson is a normie kid who just moved into the human town near monster high, perhaps into the house right next to clawdeen's dad, and interestingly enough, monster high gains a new student named holt hyde.

this at first doesn't stuck out to anyone but then people start to realize they never see holt during the daytime, and clawdeen's dad tells her that he's never seen that new neighbor boy out at night.

then one night, manny is out in the woods, gathering some samples for a botany report he's working on, and he spies the last plant he needs just outside the veil of secrecy that hides monster high.

he decides to "manny" up and go get it real quick. what he doesn't realized is that it's on the edge of a small cliff, and thus he ends up tripping and tumbling down the cliffside. when he looks up, he's sees he's at the feet of a normie (jackson (obvi))

he starts freaking out as, y'know, he's been discovered by a normie but the normie in question seems to be fairly calm

and in all honesty that's all i got for the moment chronically

I loved the scene where Sinnet realized something was wrong but couldn't reach him or do anything about it, it was always so dramatic to me! I just had to make this!

This took about a month to make solely because every time I was done I was like "What if I added more lighting/shading instead?" then I did lol

My only complaint about this piece is that for some reason I did the initial sketch by memory instead of rereading the fic???? So it's a little off ha

This is probably one of the biggest pieces I've ever done! I tried so hard to keep it simple but lighting and shading call to me~

I'm not entirely satisfied with Jekyll but oh well

Hey do you ever think about how the entirety of The Strange Case is told in the past tense. So when the books says “I let my brother go to the devil in his own way, he [Utterson] used to say quaintly” to us this is the beginning of the book, but to Gabe he has already been through everything. Do you ever think that he stopped saying this little phrase of his because of Jekyll. That he USED to be kind and trusting of everyone, and non judgmental of peoples faults, but Jekylls crimes and betrayal changed him somehow? That’s after the events of the book the greif and trauma changed him and he actually is no longer the lovely perfect comfort man we know and love but someone much colder, jaded, and isolated??? Anyway I’m doing great thanks for asking

I find it so strange when people say things like

Because like, did we watch the same monster high…?

Ghouls Rule was deadass about how if you’re mixed you get persecuted by both sides of your ethnicity. Like that was the plot they even had dumbed down police violence. Remember that?

And the target of that? Oh yeah, Jackson/Holt.

I feel like people really forget that at the end of the day gen 1 monster high WAS a narrative about race and acceptance. That extends to Jackson/Holt.
