Real talk, Victor's reaction to the creature coming to life will never not be hilarious. He literally runs and hides under the covers, and when he sees the creature is standing next to him, he goes and sleeps on his front lawn. And THEN his best friend shows up and asks if they can go inside, Victor is just like "man i hope the monster is gone before we go in there, or that'll be real bad"

10/10, best part of the book

#it's been years since i read it #but it always cracks me up #iirc the friend shows up right after he woke up from being conked out on his lawn #and he just has to pretend his life isn't falling apart rn
