literally pleased with almost all of the new atla trailer except as per usual, Zuko's scar, idk why studios are so scared to commit to the intensity of the thing, its supposed to be shocking and obvious and textured and the first thing you see... that's the point, Zuko is supposed to struggle with feeling like it defines and brands him before finally coming to the point in his journey where he defines it.

Hollywood/big studios are known to hesitate or straight up avoid properly and honestly and unapologetically showing people with disfigurements/disabilities/facial differences etc. with the realism they deserve. Which is a shame in general for representation and humanization but ESPECIALLY in this case as its minimization actively harms it's narrative purpose as well

I promise making the scar more intense (shrivel up the ear a bit, make it intrude in his hairline, make his eye in a permanent squint due to nerve damage, for god sake REMOVE THE EYEBROW IT WAS BURNED OFF) will not make Zuko "ugly", (the actor is incapable of looking ugly and also the implication that scars make people too unappealing? yikes) but will actually do the character and his journey justice, not to mention really show Ozai's brutality, another essential narrative tool. Especially when he's bald like hello??? It should be even more stark and intense when he doesn't have hair to distract from it and cover his ear!!!

When transitioning from 2D to live action, of course some visuals are up for interpretation but that usually involved ADDING detail because the constraints of having to stay on modeling frame to frame is gone, not minimizing, removing or airbrushing. Doing Zuko's scar right to me is absolutely essential and I'm disappointed they seem just as as scared to go there as I thought they might. It doesn't have to be gory, if you've ever seen burn victims in real life or in pictures or even cosplayers/artists who are skilled in realistic burn makeup you'd know its possible to balance realism with humanity. It's possible especially with their resources to avoid the "scary Halloween makeup" route while not holding back on the brutality of the original injury.

Budget is definitely not an issue, or "scaring the kids" considering this remake is likely aiming to go a lil darker in tone than the cartoon (which was already super dark with its target audience of nickelodeon 7 year olds so no excuses) Audiences SHOULD be unsettled and upset when they see him but not because he's hard/disturbing to look at but because we are human and do not want to imagine someone doing that to a child.

It's a deliberate choice out of the all too common fear/hesitation to allow someone who is destined to eventually become a protagonist and is meant to be sympathized with to be "too ugly" while this hesitation is very rarely applied to straight up villains (again we come back to media's historic villainization of facial deformity). It's a trend that's always ticked me off in fanart too. The boy's face was melted, for gods sake. Zuko was always portrayed as an attractive boy in the cartoon (fire nation girls fawn over him) even with the intensity of his scar which is something I've always admired! People exist with scars similar to Zuko's in real life, and should not only be permitted to be represented as good guys and/or as attractive when their scars are toned down to be "palatable"

Like I said there's more that I loved than didn't love about the trailer, that can be a whole essay on it's own but I needed to get this very specific vent off my chest because it missed the mark so hard and stands out like a sore thumb in comparison to all the other visuals that hit the nail on the head to me

You were the first account I followed here and I’ve been through almost every post relating to member dynamics on your masterlist.

I’m finding this very hard to articulate but you’ve always said if you receive asks that are respectful you will indulge. I am making a lot of effort in trying to phrase my sentences in such a way that they do not offend and would like to apologise in advance if they do. It is not my intention.

Some time ago, there was discourse on your page where you said jikookers have bullied you and did not support you when you were being bullied. I am not sure when that was. I’m sorry you went through that. You put in a lot of effort to write the member dynamics posts and it’s quite shocking that people don’t respect it, value your effort and then bully you.

During that discussion you said something along the lines of jikookers becoming like taekookers as they allow the abuse of Taehyung. You said the fandom back in the day allowed Taekookers to fester because they didn’t take a harsher stand against what they were doing. I am paraphrasing or maybe I didn’t get the gist of it.

I don’t think jikookers or any other sub set of this fandom is anywhere near Taekookers. The reason is that most ot7 are Taekookers. When the fandom allowed hate against jimin, it gave rise to the most vile fandom and it is the largest part of army’s even today Jimin and his family get bullied and called all names and it’s is allowed because no one can shoot 90% of the fandom down and all those who allowed it are responsible for that shit show.

So then why are people and yes, most are Jikook stans, why are they called out if they so much as criticise Taehyung for some of the things he does? Did he have to join a Jikook show? No, did he have to post those pictures during muse? No. Did he have to name call Jungkook every single live? No. Does he visit fandom spaces? Yes. He sees the shit that goes on in there. Yes. He has sued people because he supposedly wants to stand for those who cannot stand for themselves but is ok when his fans call his fellow member a slut? Can you all not be objective enough to criticise him for this behaviour? Not everyone will like everyone you like, but you are an ot7 army so you should be objective enough to accept criticism too. But instead you shut everyone down? That’s a bit harsh don’t you think?

True OT7s are not taekookers, follow better people. Idk what else to tell y'all about that. When I say toxic behaviors being allowed to fester, I mean that taekookers way back when weren't nearly so bad as they are now. The last part of your message dear, just reads as essentially asking permission to be hateful towards Tae. Idk if that was your intention, but it's how it comes across to me at least. It's not criticism. There is stuff we can be critical about towards our idols, BTS included. Nothing you listed is worth criticism and is just things his antis use to bring hate against him. It's the same thing that tkkrs do. Nitpick stupid stuff to give themselves a reason to hate on Jimin. It's not worth it. And you will be a happier person in long run if you stop trying to hate Tae and just hate the antis that are the ones responsible for their own behaviors.

hi have you considered any other fcs for the girls ? the lineup is exquisite don't get me wrong i'm just curious

oooooo of course i have!  and maybe u just wanted a normal response from me,  but i am going to make this reply a bit more visual and fun  (for me)  because i am going to explain what i was looking out for in my girls and why i decided not to choose ___ and ___ and yada yada because i'm feeling crazy!  also because i’m taking inspiration from @/pureun because they did something like this before and i thought it was really fun  <3  but trust me,  it will be really hard to get sana,  jisoo,  and yuqi out of my hands.  they are set on stone at this point!

first off,  we are starting with my darling kaia.  for her i wanted someone to bring the fun to the group and,  for lack of better words,  friendly-looking.  approachable,  lighthearted,  someone who exudes comfort to even those she’s not close to,  someone very fun to look at when on stage,  and someone who is known to be a wonder to be around with.  a mom friend,  basically.  but i also wanted someone no one would ever suspect of doing anything wrong,  which is why it was such a shock to fans when rumors circulated that kaia mistreated a stylist and that she is known by her inner circle to have anger issues  🙈  

i immediately thought of sana minatozaki when i came up with her because hellooooooooooooo!  and she was perfect because i actually wanted a japanese fc as i wanted kaia to be a member of akb48.  i also really liked the idea of kaia pulling a xg’s cocona and going viral for flawlessly rapping in three languages 😮‍💨 and idk just the thought of the face of baby girlism sana having anger issues and rapping in the levels of soyeon will always be funnie to me

i consider and think about nana komatsu as kaia every now and then,  though.  there was a time that i actually wanted her to be the oldest out of the three and in a way i could see nana fitting her background,  especially as an idol who likes to stay low-key with her own endeavors,  but i just don’t see her as kaia.  maybe as idol!kaia,  but not kaia,  yknow?    i also think that the vibes of nana!kaia would have been a little bit too similar to yvan’s,  and the thing about hiraeth is that the three of them are different from each other

for poppy, i wanted someone who gave off princess-y,  royalty like vibes with a dash of cunt,  especially as she’s the group's representation of elegance and maturity.  miss little pretty face,  a reserved woman with a big mouth and an open mind,  devoted to her craft as an idol and as a producer,   someone people and other idols look up to,  usually kept under a microscope by knetizens because there’s no way anyone could be that nice  (and she’s not even that nice,  she just minds her business!),  if her face is involved,  the brand’s stocks are sure to rise,  and she’s not that intimidating,  but there’s something about her that makes people hesitate to approach—not just because of her beauty or her monotone-like attitude,  but because she’s poppy.  i also wanted someone who seemed really put together on the outside,  but in reality they are not as poppy is chronically ill and kinda insane ngl  😔

i think out of the three, poppy’s main fc is the one i don’t think i’d ever change. i’m really attached to jisoo as miss pawppy—  like,  there’s so much history in here friendsies!!  poppy is jisoo,  just with some alterations that i’d love to talk about eventually,  but i’d be lying if i said i haven’t thought of other people as poppy.  not because i don’t see her in jisoo anymore,  but because i’m so attached to poppy as a character that i see her everywhere,  either as a concept or as someone else.

eunbi never never neeeever fails to remind me of her…  she’s genuinely the perfect alternate fc,  especially since she’s the same age as jisoo so if i did the change, i wouldn’t need to adjust anything!  but i have a really strong bias,  and i know that if i ever changed her fc to eunbi,  i’d end up switching back  😭 

and here’s where i admit that each girl is inspired by current or former idols,  and poppy is lowkey inspired by hirai momo who has always reminded me of her—  in terms of her personality,  stage presence and her looks.  like that one picture she posted during the miumiu fashion show…  where she was sitting and looking back at the camera with her bare back,  like yall,  that's poppy!  😵‍😵‍😵‍  but again,  i have a bias.  plus i also want kaia to be the only japanese woman in the group

for yvan,  i wanted someone with the it factor—  someone who graduated from servington university with a degree in serving!!!  😝  i wanted someone approachable and relatable,  THEY/THEM realness fr, a best friend or at least a friend to many,  admired for their genuine love for their job and their talents,  fun and quirky with a dash of chaoticness that usually keeps everyone on their toes,  so big-mouthed it often lands them in trouble but usually works out in their favor,  and despite doing absolutely nothing  (they absolutely did or said something btw),  their name is always on everyone’s mouths.  i also wanted someone who could “snatch” the golden maknae title from j*ngkook,  which is the reason why armys fucking hates them and keep making up stuff about someone who’s not only globally liked but also j*ngkook’s number one wingman!  🙄

yvan actually went through a lot of fc changes until i started to pay attention to g-idle during the queencard era.  when i say everything clicked when i watched this yuqi fancam…  yeah.  since then i’ve never considered changing their fc.  yuqi is literally everything i envisioned for yvan  <3

xiaoting was one of their initial fcs and the one who stuck around the longest  (i even have old edits with her face and everything),  but i couldn’t quite see yvan in her as much as i wanted to  ):  

now ningning…   siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiighs.  it’s similar to poppy’s situation with heejin—  though she’s the perfect candidate to be yvan’s face claim,  she was too young to be in a group with ’95 liners,  and i wasn’t going to age-bend anyone for that.  maybe in another universe…

(this got super long so I essentially have an essay below the cut. if you're curious about formula 1, give it a read!)

Ok so first let me get into a few key people in this. Lewis Hamilton is a 7 time F1 World Drivers Champion and he has the most race wins of anyone in F1 history. He is regarded as one the best if not THE best F1 driver of all time. He has been on the Mercedes team since 2013 and has won 6 of his WDCs with them.

However, in 2021, he lost the championship to Max Verstappen of team Red Bull in a controversial final race in Abu Dhabi. Max Verstappen has been the WDC since 2021, winning in both the the 2022 and 2023 season. His 2023 season broke records I believe, winning 19 out of 22 races. Not only is Verstappen an incredible driver, just a real force to be reckoned with on the race track, but Red Bull's F1 cars are just fucking insane, especially in 2022 and 2023 because of new regulations leading to a new designs. It literally sounds like a fucking rocket and he wins by large margins.

On the other hand, the Mercedes cars that dominate from 2013 to 2020 took a huge dip in 2022 due to the new designs because of new regulations, and Hamilton has been very vocal about these cars not being up to par. Hamilton has always been very loyal to Mercedes, so it came as an extreme shock when it was announced on Feb 1st that he would be moving to team Ferrari in the 2025 season. Like imagine if when Zayn left 1D he went to 5SOS. Or if a member of Stray Kids joined BTS. Idk what else to compare it to but it was fucking insane, which is why I got into F1 because I was like "ok idk what's going on but I do want to know." However, with Hamilton moving to Ferrari in 2025, this means that Carlos Sainz is essentially fired from Ferrari (also I should have mentioned this before, there are 10 F1 teams and each team has two drivers). Charles Leclerc is Ferrari's favorite, I've seen him being referenced as the 'Prince of Ferrari' by fans. So it came as no surprise that soon after Hamilton announced he's joined Ferrari in 2025, Sainz issued a statement that he and Ferrari would be parting ways at the end of 2024.

So now the definite line up for Ferrari in 2025 is Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc. Max Verstappen is also staying with Red Bull but the future of Sergio "Checo" Perez is uncertain. His contract is up at the end of 2024 and there have been rumors that he might be replaced.

Carlos Sainz has not signed with another team for 2025, at least not publicaly, so there is a lot of speculation on where he may go next. He is the only driver not from Red Bull who won a Grand Prix in 2023. Verstappen won 19, Perez won 2, and Sainz won 1. While everybody else I mentioned in this post did have a higher standing in the final rankings of the 2023 season, Sainz did get a trophy, and that's a result that matters.

2025 is going to be an incredible season to see the fight between Hamilton and Verstappen. Hamilton signing with Ferrari after finished 12 years with Mercedes shows he's really doing whatever is takes to get that 8th WDC, because that would make him the F1 driver with the most world championships of all time. Verstappen is a favorite to be the 2024 Champion, so he will probably be defending the title.

Now let's say that Perez doesn't renew his contract and Sainz has a good season this year. There is a non-zero chance that he could sign with Red Bull. Sainz was in their F1 academy, and he was beat out for the Red Bull F1 seat by Verstappen at the beginning of their F1 careers. I would literally do anything to see real hard racing between Carlos Sainz for Red Bull and Charles Leclerc for Ferrari, because frankly Ferrari keeps prioritizing Leclerc over Sainz, even if Sainz has a better pace. So to have the the 2025 lineup for Red Bull be Max Verstappen AND Carlos Sainz, while the fucking FERRARI team is Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc would be so insanely awesome.

sisters, i need help! so this is not quite a tc related situation but it's a lot of school drama so i figured you'd be invested. unfortunately i got caught right at the centre so i wanted some expert opinions :3

this whole thing started two years back. first thing you need to know about me- i am well liked (not about my tc lol). but also people are jealous. speaking without biasness, some may have this image of me being a mean/narcissist/heartbreaker but i'm really not and you'll get that by the end of this.

so last to last summer, i.e, 2022, we started offline school after covid for the first time. i was kinda nervous but managed to make a lot of friends easily (picked blair waldorf's persona and gobbled it up). there was this guy- berry. he was popular and kind of cold? but every girl absolutely loved him. still don't know why. i was never ever interested in him but i mentally felt like 'bro ik u want me'?? i had a very good reason to not though. two of my friends - milk and bread had a crush on him.

bread was his childhood friend apparently and milk was just infatuated. however they both worked it out because why'd they fight over a man right? and me and my then bsf peach were all good

Fallout -

the problem started when peach turned into a gigantic pick me in a span of a few weeks. she never gave up a chance to try to humiliate her friends, whom i introduced to her in front of guys which was pathetic. she was completely two faced. and honestly my whole brand is being a girly girl so i cannot tolerate that behaviour. also during this time, my friend group basically ditched her for everything and then she went running to berry. long story short she basically begged berry to just acknowledge her existence because she had no one else to talk to. ig he just pitied her and i can tell because I've been send some screenshots of their chats 💀. this is how she became a desparate one of the guys girl. and she kept trying to sabotage me which obvi didn't work.

plot twist -

that year a lot of things happened. i got confessions from like half the guys in our class and that's how our friend group fell apart. i still hate the fact that teenage guys only see women as potential gfs or nothing at all. anyway so this was 2021 and throughout 2022 we (berry and i) barely talked. however, bread confessed to him and he publicly rejected her. you'd say that's his choice but he literally couldn't look at her. i was in disbelief so i sort of whispered 'say something' to him. and he literally looked at me and said 'i don't want her'. obviously after this i don't talk to him. we haven't texted in like eight months, yeah i counted.

until... a few months ago (2024) when he sent me a follow on ig (i deleted my whole acc bc Tumblr + Pinterest>>). this was a shock as we went completely no contact. so apparently this guy has the audacity to post about me in his stories 😭 (not being sexist but what a girl lol). and how much he misses me and loves me and regrets everything blah blah blah.

plus all this while he's been so mean and distant. he rejected two of my closest friends. he strings along my ex bsf though she said she likes him. and suddenly he says wants me? i mean i knew. but boy have some dignity and don't announce it.

The easier one to answer here is Izuku. I think he'd appeal with his intelligence and sensitivity. I think he has those aspects of Peeta, even if he's not exactly an eloquent speaker like him. He's not afraid to cry, to admit when he's scared, but he's brave, and he has this... genuine softness to him with a steadfast unwavering strength, and I think that it actually would have the effect that Deku has in the license exam arc. Everyone starts working harder to survive because if that kid from 8 is brave enough to work hard, then so are they. I also think Izuku would interest donors by his penchant for strategy. He'd probably answer an interview question just gushing about his fellow tributes and how amazing they all are, but what everyone is hearing is holy shit this dude spent one week in the training rooms with us and he has all our strengths and weaknesses down to a T???? He's observational, he's a quick thinker, so everyone who'd written him off as non threatening suddenly realizes he's very capable of outsmarting them.

As for Rody. My current idea is that while he presented kind of androgynous at home, becoming a tribute in the place of his sister really shoves him into the limelight of The Selfless Sister. And I think Rody original anger at the reaping would have his stylist wanting to brand him as sultry, unattainable, desirable. (Kind of putting him in a similar position as Finnick in terms of people who want to 'help' him) Rody hates the idea of course, he doesn't want the dresses and makeup and he doesn't want to be the Capitol's Seductress. And then his stylist points out that by playing the role until the interviews, he'd be able to make a statement, to turn the image they brand him as on its head.

I'm still hesitant, because I feel like Rody wouldn't wanna be a statement, much less live a life that isn't his right before being sent to slaughter, but I do love the idea of Rody showing up presenting male at the interview, so that it's so last minute that it leaves the Capitol in a state of shock because... that's not the girl they were vying for, that's not the girl who had pulled them all in, that's a boy, a boy with a completely different, cocky, playful demeanor, what the hell? I just want to get it off my chest that after Jk’s performance in Times Square last week it really hit me all the sudden how much the company wants him to be the big pop star. I had heard people talk before ab how Jk’s promotions for seven/3d/golden were loads different than the other members solo projects but it didn’t really hit me until I saw him start to sing in Times Square. I know hobi played lolla and New Year’s Eve and Yoongi literally had a world tour so I’m probably being irrational a little.

I also saw that jk passed 40mil spotify listeners, more than bts has currently and more than any other kpop soloist has reached before. I totally understand. JK’s performance in Times Square hit me hard too. It was the first time I think the whole pop star thing really clicked in place for me and I saw the whole vision of what he’s been doing with Golden. I was kind of star struck in that moment and it really left a big impression on me. So I get why that moment may have really impacted you too.

And I don’t think it’s selfish of you to feel that way. You sound very kind about it. I’ve seen a lot of ARMYs express similar thoughts and I’ve felt that way a few times myself. Sometimes you’re just really hit with that longing to see the seven of them messing around in interviews or playing in the background of bangtan bombs or the insane rush whenever they drop new music or perform some insane stage together. Some of the solo performances have been really good but have occasionally left me with a kind of longing? But you’re not alone. I think a lot of ARMYs are super eager to see them back as seven which is where some of those kind of tasteless “hurry up and enlist” jokes are coming up. It’s pretty different from the beginning of the year when ARMYs didn’t even want to mention the “e” word.

I don’t actually think SB is trying to snatch JK out of BTS. I think they’re just being loud about his achievements because they want to advertise and highlight their whole A&R thing and uplift HYBE US through him. I also think that JK is being given a bigger push because he’s the only member who has released a commercial album, so his promotions match up with that. FACE and Golden and Indigo are very different albums with different goals and different ambitions, even if there seems to be a disconnect between their own goals and what fans think their goals should be. I do think HYBE should have done more for the other releases, but I don’t think they were neglecting them because they only want JK to succeed. I just think they were being cheap honestly. It’s not like JK was given all this push without conditions.

I also think JK is helping BTS stay in the public eye while the group takes a break. They’re actually all reaching different audiences and growing their brand in different ways which is kind of cool. I think Jhope was trying to reach a new crowd in the hip-hop community for example and I’ve actually seen a few people pulled in from OTS because they were J. Cole fans and checked out the RL after. So I think JK is pulling people in too by keeping BTS in the minds of that particular crowd. Notice how he also always introduces himself as “Jungkook of BTS”. He’s not trying to dissociate himself from the group at all. None of them are.

Also Spotify MLs aren't really the best metric to gauge popularity. There’s just a lot of factors to it including playlisting, and JK currently has four songs on the biggest and most coveted playlist on the app. JK also has a lot of collabs with popular artists who are actively releasing and promoting new music rn too which helps his MLs. BTS haven’t released a proper album in like three years and their last group song was an unpromoted fan song from the summer. The fact that they have so many MLs and so many daily streams despite all that is absolutely insane, especially when you consider most ARMYs are focused on their solo music which is spread across seven different profiles. BTS just seriously have such a massive amount of casual listeners. JKs stats are extremely impressive but I do think a lot of people are really underestimating how insanely popular BTS is and are putting too much emphasis on certain things like MLs. But when he passes their peak I’m sure you’re going to hear a lot of people trying to claim he’s bigger than the group. Twitter rn is just a dumpster fire from all directions though so I wouldn't take much you read on there too seriously.

I just think a lot of people are underestimating how insanely huge BTS is, not even musically, but also just as a brand. It’s pretty rare for people to know who the members are individually honestly (at least in my country), but a lot of people I know have heard of BTS. There has literally never been a group like BTS before, there’s just really nothing to compare them to, which is what I think has a lot of people tripping up. It’s impossible to have a “Justin Timberlake” of the group for example when they’re all individually capable of selling out stadiums, something not even some of the most popular western artists can do.

Anyways, I totally empathize with how you're feeling lately, and no one can really say for sure what will happen in the future, but I’ve personally only grown more confident as CH2 has gone on that they’re going to return as a group and return strong. Group releases will probably be slower and they’ll probably all still have a focus on their solo careers, but they seem to really be looking forward to being a group again because they keep bringing it up. They’re all also so insanely ambitious, I’m sure they’re thinking about how to take some of their records back and how to break some new insane record no one even imagined possible. Also their solo careers are just getting started too. We might see Jimin doing that stage he told Hobi he’d do in Antarctica and Taehyung in Hollywood so I wouldn’t be worried about anyone falling behind either.

Update thoughts

Spoilers for the Night of the Full Moon update that came out 9/29

First of all I have to say that the translation to English is abysmal, and that really bums me out. It's most noticeable in the little pig monster dlc bc that's a brand new story introducing new characters, but just about all the new stuff is kind of shoddy. I mean, every time there's an update, the translation is a little silly. But it's particularly hard to parse this year. It feels like they put the text through google translate or some shit.

Sometime in the future we might get a better translation, and maybe not. It does bum me out that they keep releasing the game as unfinished, but I do get that the core audience is in China, not English speakers. IDK, I think I would be OK with there being a delay between updates being released in certain regions, just to give them more time to polish it up. Lowkey I'm amazed all characters have English voices.

How can the line reads be so good and the text is so confusing? Isn't finding voice actors harder than finding translators? To make it worse, I've seen posts on their facebook where the devs ask for translators and outright state it's not paid work which...no. No, no. You can't do that. You can't ask for free labor from your fanbase for a game you profit on. You just can't. Like yikes.

Getting little pig monster out of the way first because it's the biggest departure. I was super disappointed to find out that this story is completely separated from the notfm universe and the pig monster is not, indeed, a monster living in the black forest. The gameplay isn't much to comment on.

You'll find that the pig monster mode has a different art style and more fluid animation. Turns out that this is because it's part of a collab with a chinese animation studio, and some animated clips are in the game. This is sort of like, a game version of an animated short. The story is a chapter from Journey to the West, I think. But the translation is so odd that I kept getting a dead end just for answering questions the wrong way. Like I kept thinking I was saying one thing and I said the opposite.

The Spirit Caller is legit fun, tho. It's fun to make these hybrid cards that totally destroy the monsters. My favorite combo is star and poison, especially if you fuse it with a particularly big tree. Then you're putting a shitton of poison on the enemy, twice.

But I'm the guy who freaks about lore, so that's enough about gameplay. Very interesting that all the spirits Red synthesizes all look like wolves. I wonder how young Jerry feels in this universe, seeing his friend playing with ghost wolves all the time. Would him make him more bold about spilling his secret? Or does this Red feel like werewolves are a perversion of her beloved spirit wolves?

Not sure how I feel about the offbrand native american imagery in the weapons especially with the eagle's feather hat. That feels like it might be offensive but I cannot speak to that. It wouldn't be the first time, though. The feral child's design is 100% uncomfortable. Like why would you do this.

The two new factions in memory in the mirror are like, I mean, they're what they are. I played through it using an all witcher team once and that was enough for me. Honestly mitm is my least favorite mode. The game is not as fun as the other modes and gets more repetitive. It happens in another world? Maybe? A majority of these characters just do not matter, with the exception of the wolf doll.

Wishing Night has the most interesting new content by far, lore wise. New enemy characters! And a new protagonist! Now you get to be the witch! Yanno, from full moon.

I do love to see her lore filled out more. Her relationship with her father, though tragic, makes a lot of sense. A lot of people go into bigtime denial when it comes to their abusive family members. I'm kind of shocked to learn that the witch is 17. Wishing Night takes place a year after Full Moon, and Red is 16 in full moon, so the Witch and Red are the same age. That's wild. For some reason she seemed like in her late 20s or something.

It kind of changes how I perceive the witch and the priest. The priest found this girl, turned out by her own family, and exploited her compromised mental state. And she was a child at the time. Really solidifies him as the true big bad, in my mind. One wonders if the reason that she believes that her father is possessed is because of the priest's rhetoric.

The update page mentioned something about finding descriptions of wn characters you can recruit in the 'art book', but idk what the artbook is or where to find it. I would have really liked to read more lore. Esp I started writing my fic series to figure out why the Mech Magician and the Tin Man are still cursed and hanging out with Little Red Riding Hood, now.
