Hi i was wondering something i have only been getting to know bts and jikook for a summer now and di am already so deep in the loreee ong. Anyways i was wondering if you know the clips for this or if it is true. In bts earlier years so were bts asked alot what their ideal type is i remember jungkook saying that his ideal type is some that is kinda muscular, at that time jimin was really muscular but then as time went by jimin turned into more like cute guy, and then suddenly jungkooks type is cute girls or something like that. Isnt that kinda sus. Idk but i hope you can asnwer this and correct me or give more information to this matter.

I don’t know when to draw the line at what BTS says as genuine vs being coerced. Does that make sense?

Main example: them being asking heteronormative questions and ideal crush all the way to 2015. From a time period where they probably felt extremely pressured and put on the spot to answer these questions. Like do you take their answers as solid, Aka they’re all attracted to girls or do you have to take it with a pinch of salt to a certain year because they were put on the spot, under pressure and/or before then perhaps some members weren’t out yet and was just blending in.

I’m saying this in regards to “het BTS” warriors or shippers who desperately want to prove jimin is straight to make tk more possible ect. They always seem to use answers or content from 2013/14/15 to give their case, never anything past that.

When In recent years, since 2017/2018 there’s moments where they don’t answer the question at all, avoid it ect. Do you understand what mean? Like do you accept everything they’ve said as word Aka what they find attractive in girls or do you rule a line where perhaps they’re more comfortable in themselves and perhaps take what they say from like 2019 onwards more seriously in things they say regarding who they’re attracted to ect.

Like I’m curious what they would say now to questions like “what do you find attractive in a girl/your idea girl” if members are queer or they’re in a established non heterosexual relationship already.

I’m saying this as a queer person who’s tried to fit in, make up people I find attractive until I melded into a gray area with my answers so it’s not gender specific or changed certain wording to the question itself eg. “What do you find attractive in a guy.” To “what do I find attractive in a person?”

Hi, sorry it took me a bit to get to this ask. I think that in the beginning, there was a lot of just trying to get by and make it. There was a lot more crude and insensitive jokes between the members during those years as well. They were young, teenage to young adult boys. They have gone through a lot of growth and maturity to get to where they are now. And I'm sure some of that, for some of them, could have been exploring and figuring out their sexualities if they didn't already know. In the early years, they stuck to very heteronormative behaviors and answers in interviews and questions. They rolled with it. I'm not sure what else they were supposed to do though, honestly. They participated in different types of fanservice as well that they also do not do anymore. They flashed abs and showed skin on stage even though they did not want to. They were just trying to make it. They don't do any of this anymore.

So I think in all honestly, context is important. But that even back then, they weren't always super specific with things. For example, when asked about their ideal type of girl they are attracted too, Jimin kept it very generalized. "Cute and with weird/funny charms" and he stuck with that answer very consistently. It was yes, I'm saying girl, but really this could be anyone. Lol Yoongi, also tended to keep things more generalized, often even using gender neutral terms in his answer even if it was just assumed to be only about girls. One of the few times I heard Yoongi use feminine gendered terms when describing a girl he thought was his type was when he hit on the radio host interviewer 😅 calling HER his ideal type. Lmao and another example would be JK, who changed his answer drastically every time he was asked. From pale to tan. From short to tall. From soft to muscular/athletic. It gives off *I don't know so let me make something up real quick because I've been put on the spot." But I wouldn't call that disingenuous though either.

I know JK talked about having a predebut girlfriend, but he ended it because it was awkward and they didn't talk to each other for 200 days. Which to me screams, I got this girlfriend because she was nice and that's what I'm supposed to do, right? Jimin talked about having a one sided crush on a girl predebut. And I don't think he was lying or not being genuine. But that doesn't mean he is straight. It means he either thought he had a crush at the time and then realized he didn't when he sat and explored himself more. Or it means he could like more than just one gender. They also had some stumbling awkward interviews that I think are clear that they at times say what they think they are supposed to say. Which truly makes sense for people who are just starting out in their careers, who are in the public eye and who are as young as they are. So again, I think context from these younger years in these statements made are important. As well as acknowledging that people CHANGE. They grow and mature, especially from when you take into consideration the amount of growth people go through from 16-18 years old to mid 20s. Minds can change, or if not change, they can become more sure and confident in who they are. Jimin had a whole ass journey he went through over the years to come to terms with who he is and with loving himself for who he is.

As for more recent years, or what they would say now, I'm pretty sure they would say things to avoid the question or be more inclusive. Like they have been. Such as in 2017 when they were asked about true love and Joon mentioned boyfriends and girlfriends. I made a post about that here

Or when they were asked if they have a dates or want dates to the Grammy Awards and Joon cracked a joke about how yeah, they've got 7 dates (each other). Quite neatly avoiding the question entirely.

Basically sometimes heteronormative answers have to be given when presented with a heteronormative question in extremely conservative societies. Especially as a young person and idol who otherwise wouldn't know how to navigate that type of situation and has been trained to make yourself as marketable/boyfriend-y as possible for their fans essentially

Jimin's relaxed acceptance of Jungkook's casual address and use of his given name, Jimin, illustrates this. Both invest deeply in their relationship. Jungkook, aware that Jimin prefers "pretty" over "handsome," consistently uses the former. Similarly, Jimin acknowledges Jungkook's desire to be seen as strong and protective, reinforcing this image by calling him strong and offering to protect him.

It's frustrating when others overlook these details, insisting on a uniform closeness among all members. While their bond as a group is undeniable, Jikook operates on a different plane. One wouldn't travel for 14 hours simply to spend a few hours with a platonic friend on their birthday. Yet, this is characteristic of Jikook. There was a time when Jungkook only bought a present for Jimin's birthday when gifting wasn't a thing among them.

What's even more perplexing is the willful blindness some exhibit towards their bond. Instead of acknowledging the simple affection between two individuals, they choose to see something else entirely, unable to accept the depth of their connection. Yet, deep down, they, and we, recognize that Jikook—regardless of their official status—share something special, a bond they actively choose to ignore. It's baffling that a significant portion of the fandom struggles with this reality.

Imagine trying to lump jikook's military service with other soldiers in there?? imagine saying "oh they were with other soldiers jkk aren't special"??? i mean of course they would be with other soldiers because the military isn't made of 2 people but what they are scared to acknowledge is that the soldiers are there because they were in the same unit but jm and jk were together BY CHOICE and not by the rules.

Park Jimin and Jeon Jungkook CHOSE to go through this vulnerable phase of their life together. no one else will understand what they have gone through in those 18 months except them. no one will understand what jk went through except for jm and no one will understand what jm went through except jk. The very first person to provide comfort to jk in the military was jimin throughout 18 months and vice versa. no one else can say they have seen their military phase from close except these two. no members have seen jm going through the whole living in tank thing like jk has seen and no members have seen a jk worn out by cooking the whole day with the flies around him at the end of the day. They chose to share this with each other. Do you get how hard it must have been for them from going to the biggest superstars of the nation to literally having live off of without bath for days, sleeping in a place like a tank? having literal flies around at the end of your work everyday? yet they Chose to be that vulnerable with each other. mfkrs no one but them have seen each other in their best and in their lowest as well because they chose to share.

Saying the company forced them to go together, do they understand the significance of the moment jm shared where jk was sleeping on his arm?? we all have seen them sleep together and they all can sleep on their very well yet this same Jungkook was trying to find comfort while unconscious in his sleep like do you get what he must have gone through at that moment that despite being in the military surrounded by other men all he can think of is finding comfort in jimin that despite jimin putting him back on his pillow multiple times he still ended up on jm's arm?? That shows his emotional turmoil that even in his unconscious state he was so much aware of that military situation that he was seeking comfort in his sleep.

People take the story as a funny story because of the casual way jm described it but does anyone understand the depth of that "I guess i was leaning on you" ?? like that's exactly what we're saying they were together for, to lean on each other, to find that comfort and who else can bring it to them better than each other? this is the same jk who chose jm as a hyung who gives him the most comfort when asked even though jm was the member he had spent the least amount of time because jm joined BH at the very last than the rest. imagine saying they were forced together while this same man was seeking out comfort in someone he was supposedly forced to? oh hell nah. U don't find comfort in ppl who give you discomfort.

The regular soldiers don't have to worry about them being secretly filmed and selling the information to the crazy fans and get the money out of it, those soldiers don't have to worry about your hair getting picked after shower and being sold, they don't have to worry about anything you say to others in military because no one will sell the Stories of how you were in the military and get money out of it, no soldiers have to worry about people going on Internet telling how xyz's body was and getting flooded by the damn crazy fans. so what jimin and jungkook shared their, their experience can't be compared to their military colleagues because they don't have to worry about things that jimin and jungkook had to because of their status. No soldier in there has to worry about one wrong move and your career being over like jm and jk had to. U simply can't compare their struggles and experiences with the rest of the soldiers because the soldiers don't have millions of fans out there along with tens of crazy haters, stalkers a career very much dependent on how you look and present yourself. Life so fked up in the frontline that even the soldiers pity you asking what even are you doing here and they endured every single one of those things by staying besides each other THEY LITERALLY CHOSE EACH OTHER TO STAY SANE IN THAT INSANE PLACE.

No matter what you say about your ship one thing you'll never be able to say is that your ship was the first person to comfort the other half of ur ship where i can stand here proudly saying that my favs chose to stick together and be the comfort for each other at their most vulnerable phase of life.

I never really got annoyed by ship wars (Angry? Sure Disrespected? Yeah) I’m not even trying to be mean about it I actually find them quite interesting

I like seeing real life examples when studying, so watching actual demonstrations of ‏Interpersonal Rumination , coping mechanisms, Nostalgia bias ,denial, attachment, Cognitive dissonance , projection, selective perception, Idealization , confirmation bias, social cognition, parasocial relationships, fantasy bonding, tribalism, splitting, sunk cost fallacy, groupthink, Illusory correlation and so much more excites me it helps me make since of things cause sometimes you hear something and your first reaction is “there’s no way some people are like this” but oh boy they are (: and seeing it actually happening gives me excitement that overtake anger

Just try reading about two or three of the things I mentioned and you’ll understand these silly ship wars much better (not talking to you dear cause from your posts you seem to understand this so good! I saw one of your posts about this topic I was actually so impressed! You explained the whole situation without using fancy words I liked it so much!)

It makes the whole thing more understandable and honestly kind of amusing to watch

i was genuinely just a bit confused because i've seen so many people mention jk having all his piercings back today like it was the first time we'd seen them all and was wondering if i was remembering wrong.

so i went back and looked and i far as i can see, he had them all back in the live with jimin including both lip rings. he also had both lip ones in the lap pic taehyung posted which is better quality than the jikook live.

Sorry, everyone is soooo touchy and as you can see by my last post.... That's why good intentions are not always assumed. And that's not even what I don't post from my inbox.

Ot2 jikookers, ot7, JM biased, jk biased, toxic shippers, insecure ones, delusional ones, analysts, astrology fans, multi fans, shippers who do it for fun etc etc. I’ve seen all type of Jikookers in this platform throughout my 8 years of being in fandom. But you, you gotta be the most dumbest self absorbed joker I’ve ever seen 😑 Each and everything that comes out of your mount is bs after bs. ATP it’s better to unstan and join some other fandoms than pretending so hard to be a cool ot7 fan while thinking all others are below you when they are giving their opinions.
