peaking in to say i’ve gotten sick again while trying to juggle some personal matters, so my return is really just me saying hi!! not avoiding tumblr anymore!! but i’m still out of commission sadly.

i also wanna apologize. we all have our moments of weakness and negativity, but i just don’t like how i’ve been carrying on? especially the other day. i have trouble managing my emotions, especially in a household that doesn’t always make my emotions feel valid or allowed to be seen, but i still don’t feel i should let those emotions bleed out so much here. i want this blog to be a safe and happy place for myself and others, so i’ll be trying harder to make that happen.

the last thing to note is that i’m going to once again clear out drafts and asks that don’t inspire me and just reset as far as starter/inbox calls go. i’m going to use caps from now on, too, so i avoid biting off more than i can chew; there are lots of times in which i either forget or can’t complete these calls bc there’s just too many and i get overwhelmed. they’ll be soft caps, though, meaning you can like the call even if it’s hit the cap! there’s just not a guarantee that i’ll get to it at that point. i think that’s for the best.

and i think that’s everything for now! i truly hope all of you are taking care of yourselves and these days have been have been kind to you. and thank you for being patient with me 💜 i’m really thankful for you all!

Okay I think I’ve finally come up with a plot for that jervis story I was telling you about. This is pretty long- I’m sorry 😭

Basically could follow the same plots as the ‘come on Eileen’ story with an age gap but obv themed for Jervis’s character. For the sake of everything, since this could be already dark-ish, instead of Alice being his sister, she’s his coworker. Very similar story tied with the btas version. Anyways continuing that, let’s say reader is Jim and Barbara’s kid all the way from episode 1 when they were still in there couple era (I miss it 😔). Jim had custody over reader when Barbara was sent to Arkham but once she’s out and running the sirens club, her and Jim come to an agreement for the sake of the reader to co-parent. Reader is about 10-13 during that time and then jumping to like season 3 with jervis being introduced, reader is around 17-19 (I’m not sure if this is the realistic time jump but whatever). During the first episode with how Barbara introduces tabby to jervis, imagine that same scenario but with reader also present. Jervis realizes how much reader reminds him of the book version of Alice with their curiosity, ambition, etc. I’d like to imagine Barbara finds it cute in a way similar with that one fix you did when jervis was leaving stuff for the reader while tabby is like “Stay away from the baby 😡”.

Now when Alice gets killed, we know jervis makes him go through all these games of killing and stuff and then he has to choose the one he loves. Instead of Val, it’s reader. As much as Jervis doesn’t want to hurt his current crush, he tries to be nicer about it and shoots them where the bullet won’t damage them as bad?? Idk where else I’m goin with this lol. I’ll let you come up with whatever else you wanna do. Be creative if you’d like.

I’d say basically it follows the plot of season 3 but without Alice and reader is present.

You feel like your ten again, staring into space, watching the passerby's from inside a Gala. You're mother used to take you there, when you're dad wasn't available.

You sometimes miss it, even though you used to complain. You hated just sitting there, hours on end, seeing rich people dance; like there weren't people being murdered on the street two blocks down. Maybe you took after your father in that aspect. It was a curse.

Your mom used to do your hair. You remember the way she finger-twirled your curls, gasping as she looked in the mirror. Eyes wide, she always said the same thing.

"Look at you, you're gorgeous!" You'd laugh and hit her on the shoulder, young and innocent. Sometimes, you'd make a mess of her lipsticks and bronzer. You'd try on her dresses which were far too tall for your young stature.

The sound of yelling rips you away from your thoughts.

This place isn't a gala. It's a club. And you didn't get ready with your mom, you got ready in the morning, waking up alone in your dads house.

You watch the two men argue from across the bar. You're cradling a drink; unsure what to do with it. Selina had stole it for you, somehow. You didn't ask questions anymore. You'd known her since you were eleven and she was eight. You didn't really like to drink. She knew that. You don't know where she ran off too.

Mindlessly stirring your glass in your palm, you can't help but squint under the bright blue lights. This place...it's not your first choice of where you'd like to be right now. Never is.

You hear a feminine voice calling you to the front of the club, and you can already guess who it is. You haven't seen her in a little over a week, not that it matters.

You decide to down your drink anyway. Who cares.

Pushing your way through the crowds of Gothamites, you notice the stage light up. Your mother and Tabitha stand in grand dresses. Tabitha's resting, one arm on the bar, looking effectively bored out of her mind. Your mother, on the contrary, looks utterly pleased. You fight the urge to snort.

There's a man on the stage. Long hair, cat-like smile. Your eyes follow the contours of his cheek bones. He's spouting something about waking up from an animal-identity. You're frankly lost, staring into his dark eyes. They look pitch black.

Sounds of clapping arise from the back. You simply suck your teeth. Someone new comes into the club everyday with a different act. This guy certainly wasn't any different.

"A magician? Really?" Tabitha asks, interrupting your thoughts. She sounds displeased and confounded, unsure what to make of Barbara's smile.

"Hypnotist." Your mom answers, correcting her. Ah, so thats what he is. You think. Couldn't hypnotize himself to have a better act? You almost make yourself laugh. Barbara mistakes it for agreeance.

"See! I like him! Y/N likes him!" Barbara chimes, smile lighting up to be a bit more genuine at your laugh. "Like mother like daughter. Plus, the place is packed. Be happy." She waves her drink around. Tabitha still looks peeved.

You want to correct her, but the words 'like mother like daughter' make bile rise in your throat. You don't speak.

"Just a taste, ladies and gentlemen." The man purrs, pulling your attention to him. That dark stare of his never once leaves the crowd. "But now...let us venture into something more arcane."

His eyes drift to you in the crowd, and it feels like a jolt of electricity. You wonder if he feels it too. He must have, since he cocks his head, pausing in his words for a little too long. His brows furrow, until the crowd begins to murmur. It's awfully intense.

You tear your gaze away to look at your mom, wondering if she was who he was looking at instead. It would certainly make more sense, given they must've been around the same age. But as soon as your gaze leaves his, the man clears his throat, and goes right back to speaking.

"The hell was that?" Tabitha whispers to me, and my mind goes blank.

"...No clue."

We watch the rest of the act, intrigued. He makes a man stand on the back of a chair, which definitely does not obey the laws of physics whatsoever. I can see why some people might find this amusing.

Your mom does bring up a good question though.

"So you could get him to do anything you wanted?" She asks, abet too excitedly. You want to roll your eyes. When you were younger, she would've made fun of this guy with you.

The man looks between the two of us, and you squint your eyes.

"Did you have something in mind, Ms. Kean?" He asks, and her gaze darkens. You feel a little sick.

As the act finishes, the man takes one too many bows, but the crowd eats it up. That blinding blue light still bounces off his face. Something about it is...unsettling. You notice it more as he stalks towards the three of you.

"Very impressive, Mr. Tetch." Your mom compliments. Mr. Tetch, huh. Well, you finally have a name for the man. "You have quite the gift. But you didn't answer my question. Can you make people do anything you tell them to do?" She speaks, slowly. Mr. Tetch looks flattered at the praise.

He clicks his tongue. "Only things they secretly wish to do," he remarks, eyes falling on me once more. "It's surprising what people will wish for," His eye contact remains on you, voice getting quieter. "Secretly. Deep down." He repeats.

Your mother makes a sound akin to a pleased hum. Tabitha looks between the man and you, and she looks less than amused.

"True," Tabitha speaks, pushing you to the side a bit. You watch as his gaze leaves yours, and snaps up to her. There's a ghost of a scowl on both of their faces that suddenly makes you confused. "You must be a very popular man."

She takes a swig out of her drink as she says the words, a bit sarcastically. Mr. Tetch, or whatever his name is, doesn't falter in his resolve. He instead offers a polite chuckle.

"Oh, I wish. Parties like this help pave my way, so, thank you."

"And you're new to Gotham?" Your mom asks.

"Yes...just arrived from up north."

"You have a place to stay?" Tabitha asks, head cocked. You begin to feel a bit embarrassed, heat rising in your clothes. They're asking the guy way too many questions. And he's a new comer. Poor man probably doesn't know a thing.

Before the man can answer, you butt in.

"Let the man breathe." You huff, and all three of them look at you in unison. Eyes-narrowed on you, the man blinks. Barbara looks at you, surprised, and Tabitha glares daggers.

Silence surrounds the four of you, and you shiver uncomfortably.

"Just saying." You mumble. Barbara raises an eyebrow.

"You'll have to excuse her. This is my daughter, Y/N."

Jervis's face lights up in realization.

"Ah, I see." He remarks, taking your hand. Tabitha instinctively steps close, watching the way he takes it. He presses a soft kiss to your knuckles. "Pleasure to meet you, Ms. Y/N."

"Thank you," You say, softly, looking into his eyes. It really does feel like time stops. You can understand why people are hypnotized by him.

Tabitha finally steps in between you two, as Barbara watches the interaction with vague intrigue. He drops your hand with some reluctance. You don't blame him.

"I think you should get going." Tabitha says, firm. The man simply nods.

"Very well. Enjoy your night." He speaks. "Ms. Kean, Ms. Y/N." He bids one last nod of goodbye, before turning on his heel.

finished interview with the vampire season 2 last night and wow what an amazing show 😭 i cried at least once per episode lmao. thoughts BELOW (warning: long post + major spoilers for the show -obvs-)

the actors are phenomenal and i'm always blown away by sam and jacob's chemistry on-screen. i also can't get over how eric bogosian and luke brandon field not only look so much alike but also manage to act very similarly (like the mannerisms, speech patterns etc.)??? like i know it's their jobs as actors but every time i saw young daniel i was just so impressed lol. amazing casting, amazing talent, amazing actors

i had been spoiled for so many things for s2 (i never read the books), like claudia dying, lestat being alive, armand having erased louis's memory and daniel becoming a vampire. yeah that's a lot... i didn't know how it'd be executed in the show at all but i just knew those facts because i wasn't careful enough online whoops ���� i was still gagged seeing all those moments on-screen though so i don't mind haha

also i relate to louis character so much it's actually ridiculous. i'm him and he's me. ME AND HIM, HIM AND ME (ok i'll stop)

i could relate to lestat a lot too (i'm somewhat of an expert at loneliness/depression/fear of abandonment and self-sabotage, rip i need help 😎).

armand was fascinating (and intimidating) to me just knowing how he's an ancient vampire who can just fuck you up if he wants to.

daniel's sarcastic comments were probably the funniest thing for me lolll and his facial expressions at certain things being told. like he's lowkey done with this gay vampire drama and it cracks me up. i still think about the "are you a schizophrenic, louis? 🤨" line because it's such a valid question lol and i always wonder why characters in shows/movies don't freak out whenever i see that trope of a character seeing a dead person qsdqs i'd be contacting a doctor asap. real talk i usually don't like that trope much (it usually feels like fanservice more than anything and like the writers are too scared to let the dead character go) but with lestat i actually liked it. probably because i knew he was actually alive. but still i'd feel so emotional when his "ghost" would be around because i knew it was louis imagining what would lestat do or say if he was here (or at least that's how i interpreted it). which... that's how you know you miss someone BAD 'cause the last/only time i felt that way about someone....... yeah.......

now, claudia... sigh. i feel bad for saying that but i really had a hard time liking her character. i WANTED to like her. i did at some points (loooved her at the beginning, in s1), and i always understood her motives and why she felt the way she did. at the same time, i'd feel annoyed with the way she'd always interject into louis and lestat's conversations/arguments, trying to sway louis in the direction she wanted whenever lestat was showing kindness or hints of remorse. she was never willing to give lestat a chance no matter what he did or said and it irked me a bit. it bothered me most at the trial actually, because lestat was apologizing to LOUIS, and claudia was in louis's ear telling him "it's too little too late" like girl pleaseee respectfully, the apology isn't for you to accept or reject. let louis make up his own mind.

louis is a grown man and it's his relationship, so i felt like claudia should've stayed out of it (at least in the moment, i don't mind if she expresses her opinion to louis later). i felt bad for louis because he made so many sacrifices for her but she never really seemed to reciprocate much (or maybe armand erased my memory). i hated how she called louis "dead weight" in her journal in 2x01. again i understand why she was angry at him, but after everything he's done for her, and considering the fact he was grieving the "death" of lestat (which was brutal), his lover of 30+ years iirc, and he basically couldn't talk about it with her (or anyone for that matter), it just felt unfair to him.

idk maybe i'm being way too harsh on her character, i know she's a character that the fandom likes, so really i feel like i'm missing something? i want to like her i really do but i don't vibe with her character. maybe i'll like her more after rewatching the show (not that it matters anymore since she's dead 😬 but still). i did feel for her though when louis didn't believe her about armand threatening her 'cause that was such bullshit lol like as if claudia would make that up... anyway i did enjoy her relationship with madeleine, too bad it ended the way it did. felt bad for madeleine but when claudia came back to her i kinda knew that madeleine would get murdered by the coven eventually 😅 i actually had a theory that the coven would use madeleine as one of their human sacrifices for the théâtre to punish claudia for having a "forbidden friend", and i wasn't too far off!

when lestat saved louis from getting the death sentence ... i remember thinking in the moment of the trial "is it armand or lestat doing that?" then when it "showed" it was armand, i accepted that but i was confused since lestat claims to love louis. then when it was revealed that it was LESTAT that saved louis but armand took credit for it all and lestat let him??? DUDE!

like i had the same reaction as present louis 'cause ... DANIEL? YOUR QUESTIONS MAKE TOO MUCH SENSE. lol. speaking of louis and daniel, i absolutely loved the way louis comforted him in 1973 after all the trauma they'd both gone through. louis has this empathetic side to him that shines through at times and i love it (kinda reminds me of will graham)

i absolutely LIVED for louis burning down the théâtre des vampires, it was absolutely badass and deserved. santiago's death made me go "now THAT'S a vampire show!!!". i enjoyed santiago as a villain, very entertaining to watch he was. also i love that those two fans of the théâtre (the guy and girl with the black and white makeup always sitting in the front row) attended EVERY show lol

something that's more of season 1, but, i love lestat's french. if you don't know, i'm french myself, but i watched the show its original language with english subtitles (as i like to do with every game/show/movie). so when lestat spoke french i loved it i mean. lestat's my favorite and i love the actor who plays him so not gonna lie it'd make me fangirl a bit everytime LMAO like ooo he's speaking MY language!!!

(i'm still a teenage girl at heart i guess sometimes lol)

that argument that lestat and louis had in french in season 1 over claudia (when claudia was in louis' coffin writing in her journal) ... will always make me laugh... just the conclusion of lestat going "putain de merde, bonne nuit" and shutting his coffin and then louis saying bonne nuit back XD it just feels so real you know. when you argue with someone but you still love them enough to say the nice little things.

speaking of arguments, i was so surprised at lestat's recollection of things during the trial, and how it differed from louis' retelling of events to daniel. many times i was like "is lestat lying? orrr" 'cause it's wild how different the versions are. particularly that massive fight in season 1 when lestat dropped him from the sky (if anyone who hasn't watched the show is reading this post, they're probably like "wtf" lmao). if lestat was saying the truth about how it went down, then damn, i feel bad for lestat :/ JUSTICE FOR LESTAT (i feel so toxic for saying that lol). like louis was NASTY in that scene, downright cruel. they both love each other so much yet they both hurt each other just as much it seems. i just want them to be happy 🥲 if that's even possible.

oh and TW: suicide for this section because i want to talk about THAT louis scene in 1973. hell that whole fight he had with armand. first of all, i felt so sad for armand that he was being called boring and dull etc. by louis, even though louis had drugs in his system and was clearly having a mental breakdown. if i'd been armand i would've cried on the spot ngl 😭 i'm surprised armand stayed with louis after that, probably to just spite lestat? but then when louis went on the roof to try to kill himself by burning under the sun ... i was sobbing and even just thinking about it now it makes me want to cry, as someone who's considered suicide many times since i'm like 19, it hit close to home. i wouldn't wish that shit on anybody and it hurts so much seeing a character i love go through that even though it's all just fictional. and when armand contacted lestat and lestat was asking louis (through armand) "why are you ill? what's happened to you?" and later "i love you, louis" and he said it so softly like ... DAMN MY FEELINGS.

i ALMOST forgot to talk about lestat and louis' reunion in new orleans in the last episode (bruh how could i). i CRIED. i loved seeing them take accountability for their past mistakes and just seeing how far the both of them have come, seeing them ACTUALLY be vulnerable and talk to each other and both of them listening to each other and be there for each other. it was such a touching scene. and lestat's voice cracking when he asked louis if he hurt himself back in 1973? it wasn't just his voice that cracked in that moment it was also my HEART wtf

and how sweet and heartfelt that hug was. i was kinda glad they didn't kiss/get back together in that moment. it made the moment more meaningful, and i think it's good for them to be on good terms yet still be apart for some time to process things (not forever of course hehe). i'm just glad they're not against each other anymore and that they seemed to have made peace.

of course at the end louis is basically ready to fight any vampire who wants to kill him over the publishing of the book. i'm not too worried. lestat will probably show up to help louis kick their asses or escape (don't spoil me). i do wonder what happened with armand and where he is now!

oh and i gotta say, about the show overall but again mainly season 1, i absolutely LOVE how they portrayed lestat and louis's relationship in general. i'm so glad they seemed like just a "normal" couple and they weren't written as a GAY couple ... idk if that makes sense. they ARE a gay couple but it's not the defining trait of their relationship, it's a part of it of course, but the writers didn't make it all about their sexuality and they didn't make it a stereotype like some shows & movies treat their gay characters/couples, and it was so refreshing. like i'm not even a dude and i felt SEEN. and then i thought to myself "shit, is this how straight people feel when they see a m/f relationship on-screen???" 'cause 99% of the time i feel nothing when watching m/f relationships, but i get really emotionally invested and i feel a connection with m/m and f/f relationships. kinda sucks to realize though 'cause it just reminds me of how little high quality gay content we get in the media but thankfully times are changing. i mean just thinking of how it was like 10 years ago? back then i always had gay ships that never ended up canon lol it was rough. i'm happy i get to have interesting gay ships that ARE canon these days. hope it keeps going that way 🥹 i don't even bother with anything that involves queerbaiting these days, i only go for stuff with CANON gay/lesbian ships & main characters or i'll pass (with some exceptions), i no longer have the patience i had as a teenager, fuck that. it's 2024 we can have more now >:)

well, that went into a tangent. i'll keep it in though 'cause it's a discussion i'd love to have if anyone wants to talk about that further!

one thing i wonder about is what was up with those feral vampires (that's what i call them) early in season 2? claudia ripped the eyes off from one in the forest. these vampires looked ... uh ... i don't even how to describe it lol. but was it because they kept drinking the blood of people traumatized by the war? or was it something else?

anyway. conclusion is i enjoyed the show so so much and i can't wait for season 3!!! i've heard lestat will be in a rock band in season 3 and i'm hyped haha

Angelica teases Alethia about her crushes 😭

Tell her sister to stop bullying her pls.

It's a pretty day, the world is covered in white fluffy sheets of snow while the cardinals sing their song. Snowflakes cast down from the sky, gently succumbing to their fall on Alethia's boots. Her sister lies in the snow beside her, skipping a pebble on the only water left unclaimed by frost. 

Angelica was never good at skipping stones, and it's quite easy to tell as the pebble sinks pitifully to the bottom of the frozen lake. 

A smile makes its way to Alethia's lips regardless. The simplicity of the moment makes her relax. If only her life was always this simple, she thinks. Once the thought crosses her mind, she's already imagining how quaint it would have been. It annoys her. She would have preferred this life—a life of constantly being on the run, and fighting unimaginable dangers—simply to avoid her own thoughts. It's never good to be left alone with your mind for too long, her sister had always told her. She understands now, and feels a sudden wave of concern consume her. Glancing over to her sister, she didn't seem upset or depressed at all. Yet, it nags at the back of her mind. Angelica was a trickster and far, far too good at hiding what she really thought. 

Angelica lies there, eyes far out as she hums some silly song she heard at a tavern no doubt from days prior. Her forefingers skim the smooth surface of the pebble in her hand, and yet she hesitates to throw it. Another lurch in Alethia's belly. She, too, hesitates, even if it's for a completely different reason. 

Tucking her knees to her chest, Alethia swallows dry. 

"Angie." 

Angelica's head turns to face her sister, stormy eyes meeting blue. She smiles, but otherwise says nothing. It unnerves her, per usual. 

Alethia grunts, nudging her sister. "Say something when I call you. It freaks me out."

Knowingly, her sister's lips pull up further in a grin. 

"That's why I do it."

Alethia rolls her eyes, snorting. 

"Alright, alright. What's the matter, Al? Having trouble with your crushes? Who's it this time? Still the queen?" She relishes Alethia's flushed cheeks. 

"No!" Alethia huffs, trying to stop her blushing.

"Oh, come on! I bet one of those dashing men and women you work with caught your heart. Even momentarily?" She smiles, thinking with an impish grin. "Okay, how about...hm, I got a good long look at that count you worked with." She whistles, and it really doesn't help Alethia's flustered state.

Angelica scoffs, "Oh, please, he had a very nice ass." Her knee bounces idly as laughter fills the small space. 

Another groan, and Angelica rolls her eyes. "Alright, so what about Tharn?"

The world stops for a moment, and Alethia has to physically bite her cheeks to silence herself.

"Ooh, interesting reaction. Is it the power? Do you think he's any good in bed?"

"It was a moment of weakness." Alethia stutters out. 

"I bet that's what all sixteen of his wives said before having the most incredible se-"

"Angie, please." 

Angelica snorts, "Okay, I guess seasoned men are my thing, huh?"

That does pry a laugh from Alethia's lips, her shoulder gently bumping with her sister's.

"You like his son, don't you?"

Her laughter is momentarily silenced, overtaken by worry.

"Is that bad? Am I weird? Too pious, maybe? Or, maybe I'm just too sad and lonely for his tastes. Wait...maybe I smell weird to him, since he's a vampire a-"

The thoughts that tumble from her lips too eagerly end once she feels the warm embrace of her sister.

"Shh, it's okay. Alethia, you're the brightest star on Mundus. By Mara, no one could ever hate you. I know that." She pulls back, holding her sister's hands. "Please, Al, believe in yourself just this once." 

"I think that of you, too." 

Those words do not fall on deaf ears as Angelica's steel-colored eyes widen.

"I was thinking about you before. I was thinking about all the times you've comforted me, and yet I haven't done the same. I love you, Angie. You're the best big sister I could ever ask for."

A pin could be dropped in the snow, and Alethia swears she would be able to hear it with how silent her sister is. It seems that even the birds have quieted down.

A tender brush to her hair pulls Alethia from her doubts, paired with Angelica's smile. 

"I love you, too, Alethia. Just your presence is enough to brighten my day. You're the best little sister I could ever ask for." 

They smile and laugh, embracing once more.

She spies that impish grin again, "So, have you told him yet?"

gonna ramble under the cut (per usual), but the tldr version is i like it for the most part, the final 3 are pretty cool, and I Do Not Know 😭

i know people cannot stand this show at this point (some for understandable reasons), but i'm honestly okay with it right now!! it's still pretty fun for the most part. (i personally just don't care at allll for the whole trevek/kristal/emily thing going on, but luckily that plot stays around for like. idk 3 minutes at most.)

and i like the final three we have, even if i do side eye the narrative choices that brought us here lol. it's about who wants it most, so i'm waiting to see who will come out on top. ally, jake, and riya were some of the lassssst people i guessed would make it this far, so it's so wild to see. i won't be able to have a full opinion until the season ends, but for now, i like em!

as for who will win... i'm not sure really. mostly because i could see any of them winning, and idk which idea i like more lmfao. i've seen people make some really good theories about certain people winning:

ally: a lot of ally's game has been spent with her stressing over what others think. even when she claims she doesn't care about that anymore, she obviously does. she's been training herself more with her stretches + she can't seem to let go of her goofy, silly gamer nature that antis of her tend to complain about. so a win for ally could include her learning to accept herself, or at least starting the journey to do that. because she as a person can win, even if people don't like her; she just has to believe in herself.

jake: similar to ally, ake's start to the game was extremely rocky due to his insecurities/jealousy issues. and even though jake has grown throughout this competition—gaining a friend in aiden, learning to trust more people, etc—he's still got some growing to do, as evident by this recent ep with the whole connor situation. a win for jake could show a win for those who still have a ways to go but are trying their best day by day.

riya: i know most people don't think she'd win because she's a villain, she's been to the finale before, etc etc. but ever since i saw a theory that this specific win could be a controversial sort of win, i've been thinking more on it. dcas has been making moves writing-wise that has less to do with "who deserves it" and more to do with "who wants it most." i've read that a riya winning plot could include her grinning at the end, finally winning this game... but then she realizes all she's lost: friends, love, etc, all just for money and fame. it'd be a tragic addition to her tragic narrative, and depending on how onc goes about this, it could be brilliant. idk i just love fake people LMFAO so this interests me too.

not to mention that throughout the entirety of this season, i have been struggling to guess what could possibly happen next. the finale is the biggest question mark for me. who will be the helpers for the finalists? what's the challenge gonna be like? these will all determine who has a better chance of winning. so. for now, my answer to who i think will win is a big ass question mark

Regarding Jinx, per usual Dick was unphased by any woman that isn’t Kory (.) S1 and 2 we saw that he had history with Dawn, but the relationship was one-sided. He knew and understood that her true love was Hank. The reason he sought her out wasn’t because he was harboring romantic feelings for her, but to provide what he felt would be a more stable environment for Rachel. However, that changed once he met Kory. The same can be said about his relationship with Barbara. He wasn’t thinking about rekindling anything with her (although Hank early on implied that he was). He was relying on his past with her and her capacity as commissioner. His relationship with her was tense because she wasn’t trying to see him as he is, and she was feeling resentment for him leaving Gotham in the first place. He was willing to try with her because Kory told him too LMAO. However, actions speak louder than words. He made no real effort to be with her romantically. And in the end his true feelings came through in his subconscious. I think the show did an excellent job with DK. I just wish we had one more season of Dick and Kory as a sexy vigilante couple raising super powered meta human children.

He knew her true love was hank but she didn’t. They weren’t even done scrapping hank off the walls before she was asking dick to come with her and get back together 💀 yea he “sought” her out because he already knew her and he was comfortable.

I think his relationship with Barbra falls under the same category as his relationship with Dawn, it was something familiar and he was comfortable. (Also agree with what you said)

Drag Race France season 1, episode 2, my thoughts🍾

Hi racers, I am BACK to recap and analyze season 1 of DRF and we are on what is actually my FAVORITE episode of the season, I cannot tell you how many times I've re-watched this😭 SHOWTIME!

per usual, the episode starts off after the elimination when the queens return to the werkroom. Still can't believe it's all one huge room like they're technically not returning to anything😭

A new week has begun! This is the beginning of their silly werkroom entrances I love them so much :')

Nicky tells the queens, first to scream, and then to yell. This is typical of the French. The girls have 20 minutes to get into quick drag for the mini challenge, which is to do a rock performance with DRAG KINGSSS YASSS !!!❤️‍🔥 It won't happen but wouldn't it be so fun if Sergueï went on the show and kept the crown in the family? Either way, I genuinely predict that we'll see our first king/s compete on either DRF2 or DRESP3. QUOTE ME ON THAT!🗣️

This was a fun mini-challenge and it seemed like everyone had a fun time. Especially Paloma who gave it her all (note: Paloma 2022 wig, 80s earrings from a bygone era, one of many web/net dresses, and yellow boa that she wore on The Masked Singer. You can't see them here but I'm dying to know more about the snake print heels she wore👁️👁️)

LGD was cracking me UPPP I love when someone picks a character for a mini challenges and commits to the bit. And she showed that she can be weird and ugly!

subtitle mistake: the title of Call My Agent was directly translated to Ten Percent, however this worked out well because it made "Queen Percent" make sense as the parody title. Later it is translated to Call My Agent, the English title.

As the winner of the mini-challenge, LGD gets to assign everyone's roles. This is her opportunity to sabotage everyone, but since this is RuPaul's Best Friend Race she won't do that.

AS SOON AS LGD MENTIONED VIVIANE SHE GRINNED FROM EAR TO EAR SHJDHJSHSK. Dame points out that the roles are clearly written with the queens in mind. THIS IS WHERE THE RIGGORY BEGINS. They wrote in, literally based the story around, a Latina character, and then Lolita was criticized for playing the role. .........

I was surprised to hear Kam say she's done Edith Piaf before, but I've come to learn that Kam is a lot more than meets the surface and can be very strange. It was also very sporty of her to let La Briochée have the role instead, shout-out to Kam! Marianne James visits the werkroom and I have to say I'm so glad they brought in someone with that level of experience to help with the challenge!! Nicky went home during the acting challenge on her season, after all.

Get yourself someone who looks at you the way Paloma looks at Marianne James❤️(once again with the fingers...)

I normally am not a huge fan of acting challenges shot in the werkroom but this time it worked well because they at least put up a wall and made it look like a different room

TIME TO ACT!

Because we still hadn't seen a lot of the queens and like I said, I hadn't singled out Paloma yet, I was very intrigued when I saw her outfit and over-all curious about the skit.

I thought what LGD was doing with her accent and cadence was SO FUNNY I still can't fathom why they didn't like it!! But I do think they gave her constructive criticism and good direction regardless, and you could tell it was hard for her to do something other than what she'd planned. Then there is the iconic, César and Emmy award-winning performance of Lova Ladiva as Kimberley. That Emmy actually helped Lova achieve EGOT status. Cue one of my favorite Paloma confessionals

NOW WE GET TO SEE PALOMA ACT YAYY ^-^ the way she says reggaeton scratches my brain so nicely and all the jokes in her part were already really funny and she just delivered them so well. I love how she walked in with confidence and I thought she was super professional. I'll talk more about the actual skit when we see the finished product. Kam comes in and does her part - sidenote: I really like how they edited the shooting segment of the episode because it really saved all the funny moments and gave just enough context - shout-out to @sira-ines for noticing Kam borrowed Paloma's wig✨

LOVA IN THE BACK PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE

Bertha got nervous the second she received any notes from Marianne, which is understandable, but also stupid. I was so relieved that Elips did great with her scene, and I'm glad she had fun with the role. It's really important to nail those smaller characters with less screen-time, and she totally did. La Briochée's shoot was barely shown and my impression based solely on that was that she would be safe (and she was!) THEN, LOLITA COMES IN AND NAILS IT IN JUST ONE TAKE. That is RARE. Soa comes in and immediately it is a mess and I'm nervous for her. But at least she was aware of exactly what was happening (she said it in her confessional.) Then they skip to the end of the shoot as to not spoil the dramatic plot twist😌

Would like to point out Paloma and Lolita. Remember this moment.

I am LIVING for delusional Lova!!

While doing their makeup the girls have a heartfelt talk about coming out of the closet. This felt pretty genuine, it wasn't just like "okay now we have to talk about this to teach the audience about what LGBT is" and it was nice hearing everyone's stories, and cool to hear Soa talk about her journey with gender identity! Over-all I feel like we got multiple perspectives of different backgrounds in this talk, even if it wasn't a hardcore, kleenex kind of scene it was still heartfelt.

RUNWAY TIME

Earlier in the episode when Nicky mentioned both The César Awards and The Oscar Awards, they kept César- but this time when she just said César, they subtitled it as Oscar! Interesting to see what makes the cultural context filter and what doesn't. This week's runway is "Say it with flowers" which in English was simply subtitled as "floral" oh well.

Soa: Very cool but compared to the others.... it's a miss for me I fear.

Kam: honestly... she didn't have a single bad runway, in my book. this is stunning- yes it is very literal and floral but it's just too fucking good

La Big Bertha: I mean, she technically did say it with flowers... but overall the look is not up to par. and personally I don't like food on the runway it's overdone

Elips: Stunning, creative, completely outside the box❤️

La Briochée: THIS WAS SO CREATIVE loved it

Lolita Banana: I am going to say something completely unexpected and perhaps controversial to some........ Lolita could and should have won this episode. DON'T GO!!! I LOVE PALOMA SHE ALSO DESERVED IT!!! me and my mom literally discussed this for DAYS we were in the car and she turned off the radio and went "can we talk? because i dont know how to feel about who won last night..." mind you this was before the Paloma obsession kicked in. Stunning reveal, stunning look, stunning story.

Paloma: this made me think. like, i was so intrigued by this. she said it's "100% Paloma" and that made me even more curious as to WHO IS SHE!! also it was so cool to see that niche reference and even cooler that Daphné recognized it. I'm not big on bodysuits but this is obviously way more than that and really elevated and gorgeous. the way the thorns surround her is just magical and such a creative take on the theme.

Lova Ladiva: it hurt to watch, really

La Grande Dame: another less literal interpretation of flowers, at first i didn't like it but honestly it's so stunning. sorry, Soa, but she gets away with it tonight

IT'S TIME TO WATCH THE FUNNIEST ACTING CHALLENGE ON DRAG RACE EVER !!!!! This is the only one that I've re-watched over and over, I could probably recite the whole thing if I spoke French. Paloma and LGD gave the best performances in my opinion. I was surprised LGD was able to carry it like that! her and Paloma were definitely the supporting pillars of the sketch, they made a really strong team together. Within the first three seconds we see her, Paloma is a powerhouse. Her character is well-rounded yet easy to understand, and her line-delivery is just hysterical.

C'est un miracle🚬

The physical gags like the champagne cork hitting Kimberley were actually so funny and the strange slapstick-like acting was simply... art. LGD was so funny! I still can't believe the judges weren't thrilled with her. Idk why but when Paloma sat down w her legs spread I was like "oh god what is she about to do" like idk the character choice immediately made sense and made me soooo excited to see where she was going to take it. "La Vie En Rose 2: Le retour d'Edith" makes me laugh so I hard I cry. me and my brother will literally just randomly quote this sketch at each other all the time. The plot of the sketch is so easy to follow, even when you haven't seen Call My Agent, and it never relied on just screaming/fighting/making fun of lesbians like some sketches (mostly improvised ones) do... also I love how many of Paloma's outfits on the show were things she already had and has worn many times, if you look through old photos you can find all the pieces of this look! Thrifty queen.

Bertha did a better job than I expected!🤭 Good for her, it wasn't an easy character to work with. All the queens with supporting roles had their work cut out for them since they had little time to communicate very quirky characters, so aside from Soa they all did really well!

If you pay attention you'll see that Paloma (and LGD too) stayed in character the ENTIRE time just sitting down. Even the way she was sitting was in character. Her mannerisms and looks and ALL OF IT was perfect and consistent. Also is the way she played Viviane like some sort of typical character in French comedy? This is so niche but there was a sketch Mylène did on Colaricocoshow and one of the characters reminded me so much of her... either way, Paloma is clearly very smart and a good actor.

I don't want anyone to like, kill themselves or something, but Lolita was wearing the nails that Paloma borrowed in episode six😐

Soa's performance was a hot mess, I'm sorry but she was the only one who made me cringe. oddly enough she nailed the 'singing' part?? "I'm gonna give you HEDITH"

Rewatching this is making me laugh so hard I'm going to wake my mom up omfg. "But Kimberley, it's your job! You're my assistant, for crying out loud!" "JE SUIS UNE ACTRICEEE👅👅👅" 😭😭 Lova Ladiva, please never change.

PALOMA JUST KILLS ME IN THIS SCENE SJDKDHKSDHK she gave us so much range and nuance it's insane!!! The bit with the champagne cork coming back was very funny TO ME and also Lova putting her wig back on and blinking while she's supposed to be passed out😭😭😭

Now it's time for the judges to crush and destroy Lova's dream. Honestly I can't watch this it's just so awkward😭 Marianne James went IN on LGD but tbh that's just keeping it real. Judges, especially guest judges, need to keep it real more often. And clearly it worked!

Time for the critiques.

Now I agree with everything they said to Soa, she didn't push herself enough and needed to live up to the standard she set winning the week before. I thought that Daphné had great feedback for Bertha, generally I think she's very attentive and constructive, and I really like her as a judge.

Let me see if I understood this correctly:

- Lolita did her scene in one take

- Lolita had a spectacular runway, made with love, that told a story

- Lolita made all the judges cry happy tears

- Lolita didn't win...

DON'T GO I PROMISE TO DISCUSS THIS FURTHER FROM BOTH SIDES!!! Paloma was immediately praised for her look: AGREE. Paloma was praised for her performance: HARD AGREE. Paloma was applauded for being a good friend and teammate: IM CRYING AND SHAKING AND THROWING UP: AGREE. she 1000% deserved to won, she also had a much bigger role than Lolita and was in nearly the entire sketch. Only LGD had a slightly bigger role, in terms of being around through the whole sketch, but Paloma had by far the most lines. Where Lolita impressed with one take, Paloma impressed with great takes over and over. Still so much to think about, There is a part of me that resents the production for the treatment of Lolita and wishes that she'd have won certain challenges, mainly this one. But at the same time, it's so easy to just give it to Paloma. She's a total pro, she was just as good, why not just give her the win?

i'm literally going to be thinking about this until the day I die.

Everyone agrees Paloma is in the top and she said that Lolita is equally as high😐 I wish I was in a coma.

In deliberations, Kiddy said (about Lolita) "Just because there's a Latina role, doesn't mean it's for you" BFFR. BE FUCKING FOR REAL. RECALL EARLIER IN THE EPISODE WHEN THEY READ THE SCRIPT AND THE ROLES WERE DESIGNED FOR EACH OF THEM? GIRL.......... at least attempt to hide the riggory😐 Lolita was truly the other woman in this episode.

Back on stage, I was actually so torn and biting my nails wondering who would win! I wish that they had the budget for a double win so bad😞 Paloma wins and it's hardly a surprise (except the lack of a double win) and everyone starts chanting her name and cheering for her. I get so emotional even thinking about that moment, I can't. You can tell how much they love and appreciate her, and how they know she's needed to feel that love for a lot of her life. Even if it's not explicit, I think they could tell that she has a sometimes fragile soul (she's a Cancer, after all) and they want to let her know that she means a lot to them................................................😐😭😐

I ran out of photos but if you look at Paloma in the back when Lolita is safe, she look so genuinely proud of her and is cheering for her............................. their friendship makes me feel so sick knowing what's about to happen. Even if they are still close and good friends after the show, it hurts.... Lolita, graceful and humble as ever, commends Paloma on her win and is happy for her. It hurts to smile sometimes.

As soon as Soa said "let's go!" you knew Lova was going home lol. The song did not feel like a set-up, I feel like they both had their own potential to slay it. But Lova lost when she undressed, and Soa won x3 when she did the "sexy" quotation marks. If you pay close attention to Paloma, she made a heart with her hands 🫶🏻 @ Lova when she walked off the stage :') When the music plays, we don't see Lolita hug a single queen. And to me, her body language was quite reserved. Not even Paloma hugged her. And it ends here. There was no close-up of the doorway as they walked off the stage. If you blink, you miss it.

Lore Olympus Episode 191!!! (Spoilers!!!)

Lore Olympian nation how y’all doing tonight?!!! I’m so excited for the new episodes that are out and the season is starting off with a BANG.

So without further ado here’s a recap/theory mashup!

- So we start out with a diary/narration from our favorite dick-head god Zeus, as he discusses Persephone (once again blaming others for his own selfish shortsightedness).

- And then we see… Hera? NOPE that’s Hebe! And she looks just like her mother🥹. And as per usual she has more awareness and wisdom than anyone is the room. She knows that this who situation has taken a toll on everyone and the consequences have fallen hard on her father as well.

- And the court room post verdict aftermath was a SIGHT, beings are in disarray, some gods are questioning when they’ll be able to see family, it’s a mess.

- And Hera is of course pissed, and I’ve got a feeling it’s different this time, like at least permanent separation. The separation of the realms, the forced separation of Hades and Persephone, and yet another scandal gone public??? Either she’s moving out or he his because sis looks DONE.

But god seeing Hades again, so broken kneeling really caught me, but god the power stance AFTER. Hecate, Hermes, and Hades make a fiery exit back to the Underworld and God there’s so many feelings. This isn’t like the other times they’ve disagreed and fought, no, ladies, theydies, and gents this is a scorched earth situation, of course the relations between realms are gonna suffer because of course the gods are gonna take sides on this issue. The consequences are just beginning and I’m sure that things are gonna get even darker as the rest of the season unfolds.

- I already knew Hades and Hecate were firmly on the Persephone side of things and for the longest time Hermes was in the middle for me. But after the trial and especially that lingering glare Hermes gives Apollo I have no doubt where he stands. I mean look at the glare? It could be in general given the situation and Apollo’s roll in how the trial was hastily decided, but I have a strong feelings it’s even more than that.

- THE TREES FACE OH LORD. It’s all so hilarious and yet sad. She obviously cares about Hades so much and his absence as well as her mothers must be taking a toll on her emotions.

- OH GOD IS THAT DAPHNE??? Okay so I think Daphne is back! So it looks like Daphne was saved and able to come out of her hibernation? Oh god that’s a silver lining in this whole mess. Like I could be wrong but god I hope I’m not 😭

The episode ends with a few of the gods still in the mortal realm including, Artemis, Thanatos and Eris surprisingly.

Okay so here’s some side notes/theories I couldn’t help but jot down:

1. Hermes’ Glare: So Hermes glares at Apollo when the latter called his name when he joined Persephone and Hecate in their exit to the underworld. Now for a LONG while I’m sure that Hermes has had his suspicions about Apollo concerning Persephone but I think that glare has sealed that for me. Hermes has known Persephone for a long while and knows her well enough, her behavior towards Apollo and how her whole demeanor shifts when he comes around. While he doesn’t know all that happened, he knows something is up and he doesn’t like it.

2. Green hands?: So as we see, Persephone’s hands are now green and clawed…Why is that? In her dialogue for the scene, she says they are ‘A bit messed up now.’ I’m not sure which way to lean with this, part of me believes that her expanding power as the Goddess of the Harvest and Spring is contributing to these changes. Before we’ve seen her body change appearance/shape drastically, usually at times of high stress or releases of her power, maybe the extensive use of her power trying to keep up with her mothers duties/the stress and grief of separation from Demeter and Hades, is making her body gradually change.

3. Eris and Persephone?: So . I always thought she existed/reside in some kind of closed off pocket dimension but maybe it was somewhere in the mortal realm all along. So why is she with Persephone here? Well my best guess is the events of the trial, especially her impalement courtesy of Apollo has her leaning more towards Persephone in an acquaintance sense.

It’s doubtful anyone has ever shown her such a kindness even if it was fleeting. Or on the flip end maybe Persephone asked her to teach her about wrath, or maybe a way to funnel her wrath towards something productive? And if anyone could teach her how to do that, why not the literal goddess of discord? Also she looks docile? Or at least calmer than we’ve ever seen her so far. Despite being the goddess of strife and discord maybe she’s not always in that mood/mindset.

I don’t know how to feel about their answers when it came to Viv and Jordan. They made some good points on whether they think they’ll stay at Arsenal or if they’ll leave. I do feel like some of their answers were very biased though (understandably so) and a bit of wishful thinking.

I thought the one lady gave a really decent answer though. I agree with her that I’m also having a hard time seeing Jordan staying at Arsenal. I know she’s been loyal to Arsenal for so many years but this team is so packed with talent right now. Everyone on the podcast agreed that it’s hard to give decent playing time to everyone when it’s this packed with talent. I don’t think Jordan will stay if she continues to not get too many minutes. She’s still only like 28 and she has so much left to give. I really don’t lean one way or another when it comes to Viv. I think it’s a 50/50 at this point with her. I think Stina is quite literally the only thing that may make Viv stay. Those two have a very bright future together if they continue to play so well together.

I’m kinda glad that they didn’t discuss Tobin’s contract. There’s no point starting up the drama again with her contract length. Plus considering just how secret the contract was to begin with, I’m sure the extension or transfer will be just as secretive. Tim thinks viv’s decision won’t be made/announced until the end of the season and I think that’s how it will be for everyone whose contracts are in discussion.

I really liked Tim’s answer (and the other woman) about the Jordan situation and whether or not it was disrespectful to put her in during the last 2 minutes. I really liked how he said he was actually glad to see so many people upset over the 2 minutes because it really does show just how important Jordan is to Arsenal fans even though she is under-talked about a lot of the time and people seem to undervalue her. It sucks for Jonas to receive so much criticism but at the same time- it is very nice to see that so many people care about Jordan. I think Tim was spot on with that. The other lady made really good points though about how caps and celebrations like this are usually always planned out so it’s kinda hard to excuse Jonas on this. But like she said, we all get caught up in the game sometimes. And most importantly, as Tim said, what’s most important about it is how Jordan feels on it. I think I have that same sentiment when it comes to all the players. If Jordan felt disrespected, then yeah - that sucks and it’s not okay. It’s the same thing with how many minutes she’s getting per game. Same with Tobin and mana as well. If they’re okay with everything and they’ve accepted the roles they’ve been given or what role they might play in the future at Arsenal - they’ll stay. If not, they won’t. There decisions are valid either way and I really hope everyone is supportive of them. I always think about the Tobin/Christen situation at Manchester and just how shitty they were/still are treated by the Manchester fans. I don’t want that to happen again to any of these girls but especially Tobin since it’s already happened once. I really enjoyed this podcast. Most of the questions they answer aren’t that interesting but this one really had some good ones. They do have me really worried about the Wolfsburg match though 😭

But yeah I do think Jordan won’t stay if she’s not comfortable and Jonas doesn’t find her a role, she obviously wants to be a part of the Euro squad and the World Cup and she needs minutes.

I did change my mind about the 250 appeareances situation. He should’ve known and give her more time or wait until the next game, but he’s getting so much hate so I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. The truth is that we don’t know if they talked about it or not, like you said, the most important thing is how Jordan felt about it.

I wouldn’t worry about Tobs, I think she’s experienced enough to know the role she’s playing in this stacked team. If she’s not satisfied with her minutes she will leave, but not before competing and giving her all, that’s how she is. And the fans, I’m not into woso twitter so I barely read what people say but I think the Arsenal fans, in general, are very respectful with her, she’s one of us and she always loved the club so I think everyone likes her. The only thing that could generate controversy is her fans or stans being angry or mad about her minutes and probably undermining other players, but most of them accept Tobin’s reality. Even Tim was super respectful when talking about her, he had nothing but praise.

And about Wolfsburg… I’m keeping my expectations low haha, they look great and we still need to adjust some things so we’ll see… 😵‍💫

i have not written something for obikin that made me laugh tbh (i'm working on it) but there are several moments in some of my sterek fics that i think are hilarious, like

“At least I made a memorable impression.”

“A stupid memorable impression.”

“An impression nonetheless,” Stiles says smirking, a gleeful glint in his eyes as he takes a sip from his cup, fixing Derek with a glance over the rim. “Which means you’re gonna remember me and my stupid shit, and it’s gonna annoy you every time you think about it.” (from (this isn't exactly) where you'd want me)

and

“Derek’s kinda like a lemon.”

“Sour, and only really good with tequila?” Stiles asks.

Boyd snorts, and Erica smirks. “No, he spills his juice if you squeeze hard enough.” (from only fools rush in)

🎶 do you listen to music while you write? what song have you been playing on loop lately?

it depends. i usually do listen to music while i write because it can help set the mood and sometimes it a particular song that even inspires me to write something. the other day i literally had to turn it off though because i couldn't hear a single thought in my head (that sounds so stupid jasdjasd). i've had buzzcut season by lorde on loop recently and it snagged somewhere on my hindbrain i think because i keep thinking about writing an obikin fic for it in some way, though there's nothing concrete yet. also, canta per me from the noir soundtrack because i started writing an assassins obikin au and that song is just bomb

🌞 do you have a preferred time of day to write?

it's no preferred in that i like it better but it just always happens that i usually sit down in the evenings (because i am a terrible procrastinator and literally just sit and breathe during the day)

💌 how do you feel about comments and feedback?

i don't think it's a surprise that i love love love comments and feedback. i do write (or gif, for that matter) because i like it, it's fun, and i get to be creative and put something out into the world, and i do it for myself, of course, but. once it's out there i just really wanna know what people think. did they like it? if so, what did they like about it? how did it make them feel? did something stick out? it's always nice to have that interaction.

🤗 what advice would you give to new fanfic writers that are just getting started?

i say just write. like, really, just sit down and write whatever it is that you want to write. that's how i started and it's how i grew more confident as a writer too (though i've regressed now 😭😭😭). also, reading other fics helped me a lot. esp if you're not an english native speaker, it helps so much to read other fic just in terms of soaking up vocab and the language. and then just. write. the rest will come.
