SBG EP 95 FASTPASS SPOILERS
there’s so much to unpack for this episode…
1. this panel is so fucking cute i love them i hope they explode the besties ever
Tumblr media
2. AUAAUUAUAGGGGHHHHHHHAYAUAUAGAYA BEN LOOKS HORRIFYING
Tumblr media
3. since these phantom versions of themselves are using the same bodies that they use in the phantom dimension, would ben be hurt once the shift goes back to normal? like once they go back to their usual midnight routine will bens body in the phantom dimension still have a bullet wound in his leg?
Tumblr media
4. logan being the one with common sense as per usual 😭😭 (also if someone dies because of this split up im calling it that taylor will somewhat blame herself since she suggested the idea)
Tumblr media
5. a little birdy told me that tyler and aiden were gonna have some angst during the separation… could possibly be tyler totally breaking down because of his separation from taylor (red has confirmed they have separation anxiety) and then aiden has to awkwardly comfort him. OR it’s the other way around and tyler has to awkwardly comfort. i feel like tyler’s good at comforting but when it comes to aiden it’s a bit weird cause their relationship is more bickering than actually talking about feelings
Tumblr media
6. aiden ur so funny please never die
Tumblr media
7. i can imagine in the future whenever logan in the phantom dimension taps on aiden’s shoulder to ask him something he always gets a mini heart attack and flashbacks to that moment
“hey aiden-”
“AUAUAUAUAGHH- oh sorry haha what is it logan”
“…nevermind”
Tumblr media
8. logan looks hella scary AND aiden looks so scared here. GOOD! yknow why? it could mean he’s slowly leaning towards wanting to live (since he’s kinda hinted at being passively suicidal). if this happened to early season 1 aiden he definitely would’ve enjoyed it more like “oh it didn’t kill me lol kinda a let down would’ve been more fun” BUTTTTTT he’s actually afraid which means he could be afraid of dying! CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT! also i’ve never seen him have that facial expression how is bro still holding that smile
Tumblr media
9. “so… we’re running right?”
“oh yeah definitely running” please they’re so silly

・❥・GENRE: Fluff :))
˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆FANDOM: X-Men & MCU
ੈ✩‧₊˚ WARNINGS: None!
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥SUMMARY: After your dad, Tony Stark, finds out you’re dating Logan, he insists the whole Avengers team meet him. Nervous but with Logan by your side, you head to the compound, with Wade tagging along. The Avengers are curious and a little skeptical, especially Tony, but Logan holds his own during dinner. He impresses the team with his confidence and clear care for you, even earning Tony’s reluctant approval by the end of the night. Despite the initial tension, Logan becomes a part of your chaotic family, and everyone accepts him.
Part 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media
THE COMPOUND WAS QUIET. Too quiet. You'd been on edge ever since Happy had called you that morning, voice full of that awkward yet endearing nervousness he always got when delivering bad—or rather, inconvenient—news.
“Your dad knows.”
Three words that had set your entire day into a downward spiral of anxiety. Of course, Tony would find out. He had eyes and ears everywhere, despite you trying to keep things on the down low. And now, he had apparently told everyone.
Your boyfriend, Logan, sat beside you on the drive to the Avengers compound, eyes fixed on the road, completely unfazed. He was never one to be easily rattled. He hadn’t even batted an eye when you mentioned the entire Avengers team was going to be waiting to meet him. If anything, he just lit a cigar and shrugged, saying, "Not the first time I've been sized up by a bunch of superheroes."
Logan was like that. Unbothered. Calm in the face of impending chaos.
Unlike you.
You let out a deep sigh, clutching the steering wheel a bit tighter. "You know, we could just make a U-turn right now," you muttered, hoping, praying he’d take you up on the offer.
Logan chuckled, the low rumble soothing and maddening all at once. "Nah, darlin'. We’ll be fine. What’s the worst that could happen?"
"Logan, it's my dad. My dad, who, mind you, is Tony Stark. Genius. Billionaire. Overprotective father extraordinaire. I love him, but he’s going to grill you."
He smirked, one of those self-assured, slightly cocky looks that made your heart skip. "I’ve been through worse, trust me."
You were about to respond when a voice suddenly piped up from the backseat, startling you both.
“Hey, so what’s for dinner? I hope it’s not shawarma. I had that yesterday, and let me tell you, intestinal distress doesn’t even begin to cover it.”
“Wade?!”
The red-suited mercenary, Wade Wilson—aka Deadpool—grinned as he popped his head between the seats. "Who else? You thought I’d miss a chance to meet the Avengers again? Besides, I’ve got a bet with myself to see which of them cracks first. My money’s on Banner. Big guy’s got a short fuse."
You groaned. “Wade, you weren’t even invited.”
"Yeah, but you love me," Wade said with a wink. "Plus, I’m the one who introduced you two lovebirds, so technically, I’m responsible for all of this.”
Logan rolled his eyes, but there was a glint of amusement there. He had a weird, chaotic friendship with Wade that baffled you at times. Still, Wade had been the one to introduce you to Logan in the first place. After one of those typical Wade escapades where you'd found yourself smack dab in the middle of a multiverse-saving mission, Logan had swooped in, gruff and full of snark, but undeniably magnetic. You'd been hooked ever since.
"Alright, just... please don't say anything weird when we get there. This is already going to be awkward enough as it is."
Wade gave you a salute. "Scout's honor, kiddo."
~
When you arrived at the compound, Logan strode beside you, a protective yet calm presence. Wade, naturally, flanked the other side, completely unfazed by the prospect of facing a room full of Earth's mightiest heroes.
As you entered the living area, the first to greet you was not your father, but Morgan Stark, Tony’s precocious little daughter, who ran up to you with a big grin on her face.
"Hey, Morgs," you greeted, bending down to hug her.
Her eyes immediately shifted to Logan, who watched the interaction with a faint smile. "Is this him?" she asked, her eyes bright with curiosity.
You nodded, a little nervous. "Yup. Morgan, this is Logan."
Morgan looked up at him with wide eyes, studying him. Logan crouched down to her level, his usually gruff demeanor softening just a bit. “You must be Morgan. Your sister talks about you all the time."
Morgan beamed. "You’re tall."
Logan chuckled. “And you’re smart.”
Morgan grinned and then, in typical kid fashion, dashed off, satisfied with her judgment. "I like him!" she called out as she disappeared into the kitchen.
One down.
Then the rest of the team filtered in—Tony, Pepper, Steve, Nat, Clint, Bruce, Thor, and even Rhodey. They all sized Logan up in their own way.
Tony, of course, was the first to speak.
"So," he said, voice casual but his eyes sharp, "this is the guy?"
Logan straightened up, meeting Tony's gaze with that signature, unflinching confidence. "Yup."
Tony took a moment, probably running a full background check in his mind before nodding. “Alright. Dinner’s almost ready, but first, I think the team’s got some questions.”
Steve, ever the diplomat, stepped forward with a polite smile. “Logan, right? How’d you two meet?”
Before you could respond, Wade butted in.
“Oh, it’s a great story!” he exclaimed, gesturing dramatically. “So, picture this—alternate dimensions, worlds colliding, typical Tuesday stuff. I’m getting my ass handed to me by some bad guys—”
“I don’t remember it that way,” you interjected.
“Shh, let me have this moment. Anyway, I call in Logan here for backup, because duh, claws and healing factor, and then boom, sparks fly between these two.”
Natasha raised an eyebrow, crossing her arms as her eyes flicked between you and Logan. "Sparks?"
You opened your mouth to reply, but Wade was too quick. "Like fireworks on the Fourth of July. Or maybe that was an explosion—I can't remember."
Logan sighed, clearly used to Wade's antics by now. “We met on a mission. Wade was being a pain in the ass, as usual. Your girl here held her own, and I liked that."
Your face heated up at Logan’s praise. You noticed Natasha and Steve exchanging a look. Clint leaned against the wall, his arms crossed, lips quirking up slightly as if he was already sizing Logan up.
“Multiverse missions, huh?" Clint finally said. "That must’ve been fun.”
Logan smirked, locking eyes with Clint, both men now in some sort of unspoken stare-off. “Fun's one way to put it.”
Clint didn’t break eye contact but gave a slow, approving nod. “So you’re used to the crazy life. Good.”
Thor, ever the enthusiastic one, stepped forward next, looking Logan up and down. "Ah, a fellow warrior, no doubt!" He clapped a hand on Logan's shoulder, earning a slight grunt from him. “Tell me, Logan, have you faced a frost giant before? Or perhaps a horde of dark elves?”
Logan gave a half-shrug, completely unfazed by Thor’s boisterous personality. “Haven’t seen those specifically, but I’ve fought my fair share of things with claws, teeth, and bad attitudes.”
Thor laughed heartily, clearly impressed. "Then we shall have many stories to exchange!"
Bruce, who had been hanging back, finally spoke up. "So, uh... any anger management issues we should be aware of?" He asked it cautiously, but you could see the hint of a grin tugging at the corner of his mouth.
Wade snorted. "Banner, you're one to talk."
Logan just grinned, clearly enjoying himself. "Let’s just say I know how to handle myself.”
Natasha’s gaze sharpened. "I’ve heard about you. Wolverine, right? Healing factor, claws, indestructible skeleton."
Logan nodded once. "That’s me."
She studied him for a moment longer, then gave a small, approving nod. “Impressive.”
Tony, though silent for most of the interaction, was still sizing Logan up. You could feel the weight of your dad’s expectations hanging over the room. He wasn’t one to just roll over and let things be.
“So, Logan,” Tony said, leaning back with a scrutinizing look. “You’ve been around a long time. Done a lot, I assume. How exactly do you plan on handling my daughter?”
Logan didn’t flinch under Tony’s gaze. Instead, he gave a small, almost imperceptible smile. “She can handle herself just fine, Stark. But if you're asking if I’ve got her back? Always.”
The room went quiet for a beat. Even Wade had paused from whatever chaotic inner monologue he had going. The weight of Logan’s words, his seriousness, seemed to sink into everyone.
Tony’s eyes flicked to yours, and for the first time that night, his expression softened. A flicker of something—acceptance, maybe—passed across his face.
“Well,” Tony said, standing up and smoothing his shirt. “In that case, I suppose we should eat.”
As everyone began to move toward the dining room, you felt Logan’s hand slide into yours, giving it a reassuring squeeze. You looked up at him, relieved to see a small smile playing on his lips.
“They like you,” you whispered.
Logan shrugged, but there was a warmth in his eyes. “More importantly, they love you.”
You leaned into him slightly as you both followed the rest of the Avengers. And as for Logan? He had passed the test.
~
As the group settled into the dining room, the mood shifted slightly—less tense, more familial. The Avengers took their seats around the long table, conversations gradually picking up, but you couldn’t shake the subtle glances they kept throwing Logan’s way. It was clear they were still sizing him up in their own way.
Logan, for his part, remained calm. He was good at reading a room, better at letting things roll off his back. You’d noticed that about him early on—he had this way of commanding a space just by being in it, without the need for flashy words or grand gestures. Even so, you could tell by the way his hand remained close to yours that he was paying attention to every little detail. Watching, listening, judging.
Morgan was seated next to Tony, happily talking to Pepper about something she’d done at school that week, her occasional glance toward Logan full of childlike curiosity and approval. To her, Logan wasn’t an intimidating figure. He was your boyfriend—nothing more, nothing less. The simplicity of it warmed your heart.
Dinner was served, and Wade, who had somehow managed to squeeze in between Natasha and Clint, immediately started in on a loud, entirely unprompted story about a mission in Madripoor that no one really asked for.
“So there I was, pinned down by a mob of highly trained ninja assassins—yes, they exist, Steve—and I’m about to go down for the count when Logan here comes in with the whole snikt, snikt thing,” Wade mimed Logan’s claws extending with dramatic flair, “and saves my beautiful behind from a fate worse than death: losing my taco night.”
Steve sighed, rolling his eyes good-naturedly. “Right, because that’s clearly the priority in a life-or-death situation.”
“Exactly!” Wade pointed enthusiastically, as if Steve had just made his point for him. “This guy gets it.”
Natasha leaned back, smirking as she cut into her food. “So, Logan saved your life, and that’s how the two of you met?”
You chuckled, shaking your head. “Not exactly. Logan and I didn’t really meet officially until a little later. Wade just… happened to be there. Per usual.”
“Per usual, my dear?” Wade gasped dramatically. “You wound me. You wouldn’t have even met this tall drink of Canadian water if it weren’t for me!”
Logan gave a quiet grunt of amusement, though he didn’t say anything. Instead, he caught your eye, the barest hint of a smile tugging at the corner of his lips as Wade continued his rambling story.
Thor, who had been listening intently to Wade’s increasingly exaggerated tale, turned to Logan, looking genuinely intrigued. “So, Wolverine, your claws—are they forged of enchanted metal, much like Mjölnir?”
Logan paused, mid-chew, and raised an eyebrow at the Asgardian. “Not exactly. Adamantium. Strongest metal on Earth. Had it grafted to my skeleton a long time ago.”
Thor nodded, stroking his beard thoughtfully. “Ah, I see! A most noble addition. I myself am well-acquainted with weaponry of such caliber. Though I must admit,” he leaned in slightly, “I would be most curious to see them in action.”
Logan gave a low chuckle. “Maybe after dessert.”
As the conversation drifted on, Logan slowly began to settle in. Steve asked him a few more questions about his past—carefully avoiding anything too personal or traumatic—and Clint, always the quiet observer, seemed to be assessing Logan from across the table, eyes sharp but not unkind.
Tony, meanwhile, hadn’t said much since dinner started. He watched everything, listened to everyone, but remained quiet, only offering the occasional comment or quip. You knew him well enough to recognize that he was still processing. As much as Tony trusted your judgment, the whole “overprotective dad” thing didn’t exactly disappear overnight.
“So,” Tony finally spoke up, setting his fork down as the rest of the table quieted. “You’ve been through a lot. War, battles, more than most people could handle in one lifetime. And yet, here you are.”
Logan glanced at him, not quite sure where this was going, but he nodded. “Yeah. Seen more than my share.”
Tony leaned forward, elbows on the table, and his gaze sharpened, narrowing slightly as if he was putting Logan through one last test. “My daughter’s important to me— really important. You say you’ve got her back, and I respect that. But if you’re sticking around… you’re gonna need to know one thing.”
The room stilled. Even Wade had gone quiet, which was a rare feat. Logan met Tony’s stare head-on, not a trace of intimidation or hesitation in his gaze.
“What’s that?” Logan asked evenly.
Tony exhaled, his expression softening—just a fraction. “This family? We’ve been through hell. Lost people we cared about. We’ve had our world flipped upside down more times than I can count. And the thing is… when you’re in, you’re in. No half-measures. No walking away when things get tough. You stick it out. You fight for the people who matter.”
Logan didn’t blink. His gaze shifted briefly to you, then back to Tony. “That’s how I’ve always lived.”
Tony nodded slowly, almost imperceptibly. There was a weight to that moment, a silent understanding passing between them. Whatever final test Tony had in mind, it seemed Logan had passed.
Pepper, sensing the shift, smiled softly and placed a hand on Tony’s arm, quietly grounding him. “Dinner was wonderful,” she said warmly, breaking the tension. “I think we’ve had enough grilling for one night.”
Natasha smirked, raising an eyebrow at Logan. “You’ve survived the inquisition. Impressive.”
Logan shrugged. “Didn’t seem all that bad.”
Rhodey laughed. “You’re lucky. The last guy that showed up to date one of Stark’s kids? He didn’t make it past the appetizers.”
Tony snorted, shooting Rhodey a playful glare. “That’s because that guy showed up in a muscle car blaring AC/DC and quoting Shakespeare.”
“I thought you liked AC/DC?” you teased.
“I do. Not when it’s a first impression.”
Morgan, who had been quietly observing the back-and-forth, suddenly piped up. “Are you staying here tonight?” she asked innocently, looking up at Logan.
Logan blinked, clearly not expecting the question. “Uh…”
“Morgan,” Pepper began, her tone gentle but with that motherly undertone of “not now.”
“What? If he’s dating my sister, maybe he should stay!”
Wade, sensing an opportunity to cause more chaos, grinned beneath his mask. “Oh, I second that motion, mini-Stark! Logan here can bunk with me. I’ll show him my extensive collection of ‘80s action movies. It’ll be like a slumber party, only with more explosions.”
Clint nearly spit out his drink, trying to stifle his laughter, and even Natasha cracked a rare smile.
Logan, who had been stoic and composed throughout the entire evening, just shook his head. “Yeah, I’ll pass.”
You burst out laughing, and as you glanced around the table, you saw that, little by little, Logan was beginning to fit in with the Avengers’ chaotic dynamic. Sure, there were still guarded looks and unspoken tests, but your family—both blood and found—was starting to accept him in their own way.
As dessert was served and the conversation shifted to lighter topics, you felt Logan’s hand rest on your knee under the table, a small, reassuring touch that grounded you. You leaned into him slightly, smiling to yourself. Maybe this whole thing hadn’t been as bad as you’d feared.
By the time the evening began winding down, Logan was in the middle of an animated conversation with Thor about battle strategies, Wade was loudly recounting yet another exaggerated mission story to anyone who’d listen, and Morgan had fallen asleep in Pepper’s arms.
Tony, now more relaxed, leaned over to you as the others chatted around the table. “So… Logan,” he said quietly.
You glanced at him, unsure of what was coming next. “Yeah?”
Tony gave a small, reluctant smile. “I still think you could’ve given me a heads-up earlier, but… he’s alright. I guess.”
You grinned, bumping your shoulder against his. “Told you so.”
Tony chuckled softly, shaking his head. “Don’t get used to it.”
As the night wrapped up and the team slowly began to disperse, you and Logan lingered by the door. Tony walked up to Logan, offering his hand.
“Take care of her,” Tony said, his tone steady but genuine.
Logan gripped Tony’s hand firmly, meeting his gaze once more. “Always.”
With that final exchange, you left the compound with Logan by your side, Wade tagging along (of course). And as you drove away, your hand resting in Logan’s, you felt a sense of peace settle over you.
Your family had met him. He’d met them. And while it hadn’t been perfect, it was the first step in blending the two worlds you cared so deeply about. In the end, Logan wasn’t just a part of your life anymore.
He was a part of theirs.

“Do you remember the last time I went to a frat party,” Dalton asked, head tilted up to look at Chris. She looked down at him, pursing her lips in annoyance.
“That was literally months ago and since then you haven’t seen a dead person once.”
“She has a point,” you offered. You were sitting on Dalton’s desk, trying to peer pressure him into going to a stupid party. He had been far too cautious since his incident and it was about time he started to go out more. Chris found a flier laying around and declared that the three of you were going to go even if she had to drag you guys there.
“You’re supposed to be on my side.”
“I am on your side,” you said. “This is your side. You just don’t know it yet.” He rolled his eyes and looked between the two of you. He had never been sure how he ended up friends with the two of you. Usually he was grateful for it, knowing he wasn’t alone out here. Moments like these he wondered how worth it was, even when he glanced at you and his eyes lingered a little longer than they should have. You met his gaze, trying not to blush under it. Chris pretended not to notice your acts of persuasion. “C’mon D,” you pleaded. You sat up all the way and leaned forward to him. He was looking up at you, something he could get used to.
“Fine.”
“Yes!” “Sweet!”
You hopped off the desk and offered him your hand to help him up. He took it without a second thought. The weight of his hand was relaxing and familiar. You briefly thought about how you wished you could remain holding his hand forever.
“I’ll come get you guys at 8 alright?” Chris asked. You nodded. She backed away to the door, bringing two fingers to her eyes and then flipped them back around towards you. “Be ready or I’ll leave without you.” “Please do,” Dalton pleaded.
“You’re stuck going,” she promised. She opened up the door, calling about something she had to do before you left. You turned to Dalton, a smile plastered on your face. It was a goofy one, half to taunt him, half to have a reason to smile at him.
“It’ll be fun,” you promised.
“If you say so.” -
It was loud before you even went in. Greek Row had a line of houses that all seemed too large to be real and too old to be nice. You could immediately tell which one was having a party from a distance. There were people hanging out on the curb, drinking beer, watching the stars, dancing in the grass and doing other weird things. Dalton scooted closer to you, trying not to show his disinterest.
You nudged him.
“Lighten up,” you said.
“I’m trying,” he promised. You approached the door, slipping through the people making out on the porch. Once you got inside it was like a whole other world had opened up. There were people everywhere, against walls, chugging drinks, dancing against each other. The music was so loud you could hardly see yourself think. Dalton put a hesitant hand to one ear, clearly trying to get used to the overstimulation.
“I’m gonna go upstairs and be nosy!” Chris called over the music. “Either of you want to come?”
“I want a drink!” you yelled. She nodded.
“Dalton?”
“I’ll go with her!” Even though you were practically screaming at each other, it was hard to hear. Chris saluted you both before snaking through the crowd to the stairs.
You didn’t recognize anyone around. It was kind of humbling, realizing how big the school actually was. Dalton was walking close behind you as you made it to a table with snacks. You grabbed a solo cup and poured yourself some of the red liquid, not entirely sure what was in it.
“You want some?!”
“You drink it first!” You rolled your eyes and took a sip. It was foul but not bad enough to make a face. You offered him a drink of yours, which he took. He made a disgusted face, shaking his head as he tried to rid himself of the flavor. You giggled, taking back your cup.
“Want one?!”  He paused, swallowing hard. There were so many people that you were pressed against the table and practically against each other.
“Sure?!” You nodded once, a bright smile on your face. You poured him some and handed it over. You grabbed his arm and weaved him through the crowd so you wouldn’t lose him. You ran into people dancing, narrowly avoiding the people making out on the stairs.
Once you got further away from the living room you were able to hear yourself think a little bit more. Dalton was drinking quickly, despite his looks of distaste. You took a large swig to catch up to him.
“Wanna dance?!” you asked. His eyes went wide as he took a large swallow. The scrunched face of disgust went over his face and then it was even again. He looked towards the crowd of people dancing, men's hands on girls hips, bodies pressed together. Just the thought of it made him blush furiously. “D?!”
“Yeah!” He put down his cup, forgetting about it immediately. This time he grabbed your hand and led you back into the crowd. He didn’t like it but he forced himself to be in the middle so that less people paid attention to him. There was awful music playing but it had an aggressive base that was rocking the floors. You tossed your drink away far too early into a garbage can and started to dance to the music. Dalton wondered if he should put his hands on your sides as you started to move along to the music, looking too intoxicating for his already intoxicated mind.
“C’mon D!” you yelled. You put your hands on his sides, moving him back and forth. He tried not to gasp at your hands. Instead he just put his palms on your hips as well, evening out the playing field. His grip was fiery and incredibly distracting. You were moving him but you weren’t thinking about it anymore. You were thinking about him and you were pulling him closer to you and your chests were flush. You looked him in the eye, not breaking eye contact. It felt like you were playing a game of who would break first. Your breathing was becoming ragged. Was it smokey in here?
Your hands moved up towards his neck. You put your arms on his shoulders. His lips parted. Your torsos were fused together at this point and he was making every effort to hold you even closer to him. Everyone else seemed like a blur.
You lifted your hand up a bit and then placed it on his neck. He would’ve flushed if he wasn’t knee deep in the moment. Your fingers were cool against his bare skin.
“Dalton,” you said, voice too quiet for him to hear but he recognized the way your lips said his name.
“Yeah?”
You leaned forward, kissing him without thinking. His lips parted, breathing in the air you were giving him. He had never felt so euphoric. It briefly crossed his mind that this is what college was for. To make out with the girl he loved in the middle of a room after drinking something was probably too strong. Your hand went to his hair, tangling in his knots.
“C’mon,” you whispered and he only caught it because his face was now so close to yours. Your hand was in his. You had never been in this house before but you were determined now, body on fire. His other hand found your hip. You ran up the stairs. People were staggering around but your mind was now occupied. You tried a door but it was locked. Dalton put both of his hands on your sides behind you. You were a girl on a mission now.
You tried the next door. Locked.
You tried the next one. It opened with a gentle nudge. It was a bathroom, clearly someone’s private one. There was a door attached to it on the side, probably to a bedroom. You grabbed Dalton’s hand off your side and pulled him inside, slamming the door shut.
It was so tight that you were barely able to both get in there. A walk-in shower was shoved in the corner and a sink was beside it, a toilet on the other side. The sink was just barely jutting out of the wall yet you still managed to hoist yourself up to it. You grabbed Dalton, who was far too happy to oblige, and smashed his lips against yours.
All of the tension that had been living within the two of you seemed to fuel the moment. He parted your legs with his hand so he could stand between them. His boldness only turned you on more. You wrapped a leg around his, both of his hands on your sides, gently hiking up your shirt so he could touch your bare skin.
Your brain was muddled. There was nothing in the world anymore except Dalton and his lips and his hair and his body against yours, hot, flush, more toned than you would’ve thought. His lips left yours to trail down your neck. You moaned, which made him visibly react.
Dalton had never felt better, he was convinced. He could live in this bathroom with you forever and never grow unhappy. You put the back of your head against the mirror. Though your torso moved back he didn’t let it stop him from being pressed against you.
Right then, you would’ve done anything he asked. You were all too happy to melt down to your knees. In fact, you were thinking about it as his lips nipped your collar bone. You let out a sharp breath and was about to push him backwards so you could sink off the counter when the adjoining door flew open.
You both jumped, suddenly broken out of the moment. Even though he was startled, his hands didn’t leave your side, he just backed up a bit.
Chris stood in the doorway, her mouth open wide. Then she started to laugh. A hearty laughter, mixed with genuine surprise.
“Sorry to interrupt!” You grabbed a towel that was on the rack and threw it at her. She dodged it.
“We’re in the middle of something Chris,” Dalton said, voice dangerously low and borderline seductive. You glanced at him, chest still heaving.
“I can tell. Maybe next time you guys should lock the doors. Anyone could walk in.”
“Duly noted,” he said. You gestured for her to leave. She stayed put.
“This must be much better than what happened in the bathroom at the last party you went to Dalton.” He rolled his eyes, not even able to bring himself to care. It crossed your mind to just go back to the dorms so you wouldn’t have to deal with interruptions. It felt so far away. You had only been here 20 minutes but it now felt like 20 minutes too long.
Your hand was still lazily hanging off Dalton’s shoulder.
“This door doesn’t lock,” she said, twisting it.
“Alright,” you said.
“You wanna give someone a free show?” Your knees hurt. Hurt wasn’t exactly the right word. Your knees ached.
“Chris,” you said.
“I’m warning you. Anything anyone sees could be recorded.” You pushed yourself off the counter. Dalton stumbled back. You grabbed his hand.
“We’re going back to the dorms.”
“We just got here!” she exclaimed.
“Dorms,” you said. She laughed a bit, lips parted in pleasant surprise.
“Yes ma’am. I’ll see you guys back there.” You pushed past her.
“Knock when you get there!” Dalton called as you dragged him back down the stairs. Chris rolled her eyes. The things on the counter had been shoved to the ground, toothpaste in the sink, towel on the ground.
“Damn guys.”

New Boot Scootin'
Tumblr media
"Okay, so it's right right, left left, then right, left, right and kick your butt."
"Right right, left left..." Harry murmured to himself, slowly walking through the steps as he spoke.
You watched him go through the first few steps from your spot onstage. Even though tonight was the night of the last show, everything was surprisingly normal, business as usual. Harry woke up practically on top of you—according to him it was better than one of you stealing all the blankets—you both shared croissants and cappuccinos at a little cafe by the hotel you were staying at, then walked hand in hand to the venue, stopping at any little shops that caught your eye. Rehearsals were longer than usual, seeing as the final show for Love on Tour was set to have extra songs, but you sat and watched the whole thing, offering praise and opinions when Harry asked.
Everyone had dispersed after rehearsals, and you and Harry were in his dressing room, practicing some dance moves so he could perform them later that night. Some fans had taught you the "boot scoot" the other night while you were standing on the outskirts of the pit. You'd always admired the atmosphere in that particular section of the pit and clapped along whenever fans began to do their signature dance during Treat People With Kindness. When they asked you to join in, you felt kind of honored, and fell in with a small group of fans excitedly.
Of course, Harry saw you dancing, though he hadn't mentioned it much outside of a little teasing—all playful, of course. When rehearsals ended today, though, he asked if you would walk him through the dance.
"That's it. You're getting it!" you said, watching as your boyfriend raised his arm above his head and swung it around. He looked cute, and a little silly in his Love on Tour tracksuit, but he wasn't half bad. Harry was always self-deprecating about his ability to dance, or lack thereof, but he wasn't as bad as he made himself out to be.
When he finally stopped, he turned to look at you. "That's it?"
"That's it, bub. Easy, right?" you said, opening your arms up to him. He came over to you, wrapping his arms around your waist.
"You gonna be there in case I miss a step?"
You reached up on your tiptoes to kiss his chin. Harry was a good few inches taller than you and usually had no problem reminding you. Sometimes he came up behind you and used your head as an armrest, or a headrest if he was feeling particularly cheeky. Sometimes, if he thought you weren't paying enough attention to him, he'd take your phone or book or whatever was keeping you busy and hold it high above his head. Harry could tease all he liked, but you knew he loved the size difference between the two of you, though cuddling did pose a problem seeing as he often demanded to be the little spoon.
"I don't know," you said. "I promised a couple fans from the last show that I would be in the same spot as last time."
"Did you really?"
You shrugged. "It's not a big deal. They asked if I would be there for the last show and I said sure, but if you want me backstage, I can—"
"No, no it's okay. It's cool that you're making friends with fans," he said, a small grin spreading across his face. "Just be backstage before it's all over. I want you to be the first person I see when I get off."
"You got it," you said, giving him a mock-salute.
Harry's face softened. "Promise?"
Reaching up, you cupped his cheeks in your hands and gave him a kiss. His arms tightened around your waist, especially when your hands slipped into his hair. You pulled away from him before things got too heated, but Harry was content to stay close, leaning down so his forehead was resting against yours.
"Promise."

Through thunderstorms and arguments- Call for help!
Summary; Peter finds Thor and Loki training and ends up wanting to see the cool move! Too bad the god of thunder has been hanging out too much with his mischievous little brother and things take a hysterical turn.
A/N; I changed a few things from the original ask which was sent by @inneedofsupervision but I desperately hope it turned out to your liking! (Apologies again for the wait! Still recovering 🩷🫂) ENJOY!!! ✨
Warnings; tickles and a lil fancy swearing form Loki!
———————-
It was storming outside, hail clattered against the windows of cars and houses, raindrops fell like someone was dumping buckets of water onto earth and the wind changed the direction of it all every few minutes.
Peter watched in silence as the white pieces fell past the huge windows of the 100th floor of SI. He watched the clouds that sometimes lit up which was followed by crackling thunder.
It was loud, sure. Being so close to the clouds and roof; things always sounded a little louder but the soundproofed walls gave a bit of relief to it all.
The thunder could be unsettling after awhile.. you’d think he’d have gotten used to his sensibilities by now but in truth it wasn’t something that he could just ignore.
His mind wandered as he watched the spectacle, Thor and Loki were currently in the tower..
Thinking of Thor and Loki, where were they anyways? His eyes lifted and flew over the rather quiet common room.
Steve and Bucky were watching TV on the couch, Natasha and Tony sat by the table, the billionaire busy with something on his hologram while the super spy was halfheartedly watching the Tv.
“Where are Loki and Thor?” He asked as his feet took him towards the table. His voice seemed weirdly loud.. It felt almost criminal to disturb the silence.
Natasha looked at him „Probably training while the training room isn’t occupied“ Tony looked up as well „Yeah, pretty sure point break and reindeer games are trying to get along a little better.“ he stated in a bored tone, probably having heard the two gods bickering earlier today.
If Tony didn’t hear them Peter was positive Friday warned him about it.
„Alright I’ll go have a look then.“ „yep, don’t get between them Pete!“ Steve called after him wich earned him a chuckle and a two finger salute „Sure thing captn‘!“ he called before turning around, putting his hands into his pockets and heading off towards the training room.
He was two corners away from his destination when he already heard bickering. Peter chuckled, how can two gods bicker so much? They’ve been at it for hours!
„THOR! Let me down this instant!“ „Brother, stop struggling already or we won’t be able to do get help!“
Peter’s curiosity instantly spiked and he jogged the last steps, head poking into the room.
Sure enough he saw Thor holding Loki up, ready to throw while the younger squirmed uselessly.
„You will not throw me you insolent oaf!“ Loki yelled before getting tossed onto the mats, taking out the smaller ones that were standing up mere seconds before.
„I still hate it.“ Loki grumbled as he sat up. „I find it rather amusing.“ Thor grinned at his brother who sent him a dirty look „no it is not. It’s humiliating.“
Peter sniggered, earning their immediate attention. „Little spider!“ Thor grinned happily „hey kid.“
„heya! That was an awesome move!“ he grinned as he walked in, his grin widened when he saw Loki roll his eyes.
„Indeed! I am glad you’ve decided to join us on the matter! Loki doesn’t seem to be on the same page as us..“ Thor grinned and eyed Loki shortly. Peter nodded animatedly „can you show me? The whole move I mean?“
„I am not doing that again.“ Loki growled at his brother who was already looking at him with expectancy and a playful grin. The boy huffed „aw, why not? It’s such an awesome move!“ he gushed.
Loki squinted at him, seemingly trying to figure out if he was joking or not. Then his eyes caught Thors and he saw his own mischief twinkle right back at him.
Peter was about to ask something else only to gasp when Thor picked him up by sneaking under his arm „Let’s reenact the move together then litte spider!” He grinned.
The boy however could only huff. His feet were slightly off the ground and no matter how far he tried to bend his feet for his toes to reach the ground it just wasn’t enough.
With slight shock and bit of embarrassment he came to realise that was hanging there like a slack sack of potatoes.
An awkward slack sack of potatoes.
He was halfheartedly hanging over Thors neck and slightly his shoulder. The gods hand supported him by the ribs and the other held the arm that was draped over him.
Peter huffed at his predicament “can you lower me slightly? Please?” Loki sniggered at his question and shook his head as he stood up “Don’t worry Peter, it’ll get better” he reassured.
Peter did not feel reassured. The playful gleam in the tricksters eyes and the sly grin did nothing to reassure him- in fact his nerves lit up instantly and he shook his head. “No I’m su-HURE!”
The boy was interrupted by his own squeak and jump when the strong hand squeezed the spot by his ribs and he snapped to look at Thor with wide eyes and a betrayed glare. The god however just grinned down at him and winked.
Peter blushed- they were not actually about to team up on him after bickering the whole day through! Right!?
Peter heard the tricksters dark laugh rumble through his chest- if he wouldn’t have super hearing he’d only see him holding back his amusement.
“You have to stay committed little spider!” Thor announced happily as he nudged Peter’s ribs again, this time with a lot more intent as his knuckles rushed past his ribs.
Peter sputtered a laugh and he forced his legs up quickly to try and curl up. Loki grinned and shared an amused glance with Thor. “ahAhaha! nOhO! ThoHOhor!” The kid squeaked out between laughs.
Thor laughed with him and let up on the tickling. Peter’s legs lowered but before he could shoot Thor a dirty glare Loki walked closer to them “honestly Thor, don’t torture Starks kid” he mused and then squeezed Peter’s shoulder. “You need to call out for help to make it seem authentic”
Peter squinted at Loki “shouldn’t Thor be calling for help? I’m supposed to play the victim!” He argued. He was not about to call for help! Plus! He told Captain Rogers he wouldn’t get between them which basically translates do not get into trouble with them!
Loki clicked his tongue. “Details, details” he waved Peter off and went behind them.
The boy tried craning his neck as much as he could in his position but Loki positively vanished behind them.
“Y-You know what?” Peter blabbed nervously with a small grin “mihister stark said youhu were aharguing today morning-NA-HO!” He squeaked and batted at Lokis hands that were now right by his sides “come on guys I’m nohot calling for help!”
Thor hummed “Let’s help him out then why won’t we Loki?” The god in question sniggered darkly “Oh we definitely should brother”
Peter shook his head but the silly grin on his face only encouraged Thor with his and his brothers shenanigans.
“Nohoooo, come oh-HON! NoHOho!” The boy tensed and pulled his legs up again the second Lokis nimble fingers sprung into action, skittering over his sides over the thin shirt that Pete was now dearly regretting to have worn today.
“Come on Peter, just call for help and we can continue with the move” Thor tried to encourage, Peter cursed internally at the amusement in the gods voice. How dare he!
“Mmhm-noHOho!” He giggled, trying to at least make this hard for the gods by trying to hold his giggles, but alas it was all in vain as Lokis fingers sought out the spot that made him react most.
Peter shook his head and squealed when the trickster dug into his highest rib. “LOHOKIEHEE!” “My, my, seems I’ve found a sweet spot.” The god chuckled into his ear. “EHEhEYEE! nOHOh YOuhUHu HaHAveHEhen’t!” “Hmno? You’re saying there’s a spot worse than… this?” Peter bucked again when the god dug in with a lot more precision then before “NOAHA! IHI DiHIhidn’T SAHAhay ThAHAHat!”
“I don’t know young spiderling! Sure sounded like it!” Thor chuckled as he kept the boy off the ground. It was quite a task with all his squirming. Peter shook his head through bursts of laughter. Loki sniggered and let one of his hand slip to Peter’s hip.
The boy kicked out harshly and hit the poor god of thunder’s shin. The god grunted and hissed, kneeling down slightly. Loki halted before falling into mused chuckling.
“ohoho god IHi’m sohoho sohohorry!” Peter giggled as the god made his theatrics about his shin and let the kid go. Thor rubbed his shin with a soft groan “you have quite the kick little spider!” He goaded.
Peter gave a giddy smile and opened his mouth to say something before the god smirked “but not quite to take down a god yet!” He boasted and jumped the kid.
Peter screeched and grappled with Thor over the mats.
Loki shook his head at their antics. “Really brother? We had him perfectly trapped and great for the move!” He reminded and walked along the mats, watching as Thor gave the giggly kid little chance of winning.
“We still have to encourage the little spider brother! I’m sure this will be beneficial!” The god boasted.
Peter giggled wildly and fended off the gods hands as best he could “NOho! iHIhi’m not cAHalling for help!” Thor sniggered with him, the kid had a soft blush on his cheeks and playfulness was written all over his face. “But you have to! The move won’t be complete otherwise young Stark!”
Peter kicked out when Thor almost managed to pinch his ribs “THoHO-AAH!” He yelled in surprise when his leg was pulled and his knee was squeezed “LOhOKI!” He scolded playfully, sending the god a glare- but the god simply sent him a sly grin- damn his own traitorous smile!
With the short distraction Thor squeezed his ribs. “NAHAO! ThIHIHis IHIs UnfAHAhair! aHAAhAhahA!” Loki chuckled as he traced the boys knee, sending ticklish shocks through his whole system while Thor was on a journey down to his sides. “How do you mortals say, Pete? All is fair in love and war?” The trickster mused and swiped a finger up Peter’s sole at which the boy tugged at his leg harshly.
“nAA-HA! LOhOHOki!- ThOHoHOr! THIHiHIs IhIsnt fAhaHair!” Peter exclaimed again, his hands latching onto Thors wrists- yet he barely pulled at them.
“Cohome on Young spiderling! You just have to call out for help and that’s it” his amusement of the situation grew when Peter shook his head- what a stubborn little mortal..
“Alright.. well then..”
“NAHA! THOHOAHAR! CHEHEAHATEHEHER!” Peter threw his head back, fighting with his instincts to squeeze the god’s hands there which only seemed to make it worse- or try to grapple at them- which resulted in hilarious flailing.
Loki sniggered, but he couldn’t let his brother win this, mischief was his thing after all.
His slender fingers wrapped around Peter’s knee and his fingers scribbled along the backs of them.
The reaction was immediate, Peter’s leg slammed down on the mat only to jump back up with a high pitched yelp. “Oh? Are you hiding something Peter?” Loki mused and Thor let up on his tickles “what have you found brother?” “He- hehe found nohothing!” Peter protested but the two gods ignored him “See here..” Loki said which followed by his fingers squeezing and slightly wiggling into the spot. “NAHAO! LOHOKI! WehEHe can TAHAhalk Ahabout thIHIHIhis!”
The gods sniggered at the volume change each time Loki decided to continue his little game. “Aw, but we did talk Peter. You call for help and this aaaaall stops.” To let the kid talk he let up slightly The boy pouted at the god, his brown locks more disheveled then he’s ever seen them and slightly red cheeks. Loki sighed “I believe, brother, I should teach you a few things on tickling.” He stated, a sly smirk threatening to pull on his face when Peter’s cheeks flushed a tone deeper.
Thor chuckled “alright, have it your way.”
Peter gaped at him. NO WAY were they just AGREEING!
“W-Wait- Lohoki, come ohon we can fihigure this out- look youhu’re gettihing ahalong too! Mahaybe you can make uhup now??” peter blabbed as Loki moved closer and Thor away.
Loki chuckled darkly “your futile attempts of distractions are not working” peter couldn’t help the high pitched anticipatory giggle that slipped him as the god hovered over him.
“Ehe- you know- I-HAY!” Peter almost jumped out of his skin as Lokis hand rushed towards him.
“What happened Pete?” The boys eyes grew wide- oh. Oh.
He huffed and stared challengingly at the god. He’s heard of the wrath of the god of mischief. But.. he could handle it, he’s won Mister Stark’s attacks!
His challenging glare didn’t last long as the mischief practically dripped from the god. “What are you afraid of the tickles?” Loki asked as if it were like any other conversation.
Peter shook his head with a high pitched giggle. “N-no!” “No? So you shouldn’t mind..” Loki stopped above Peter’s stomach- surprised that the boy already flinched away.
Despite himself he moved his hand towards his side and flexed it- Peter, to his delight jumped again and moved closer to the god and away from the hand.
“Peter.” Loki stated and gained the boys attention.
“Whahat?”
“Are you by chance…. Air ticklish?”
.
.
.
“uh oh” muttered Peter in utter disbelief before a steady stream of giggles escaped him. Loki’s collected expression turned to one of pure delight and mischief “oh boy.. this just got a lot more entertaining.”
Peter squeaked when the younger god made claws. “NOhOho!” The boy whined through his flustered and giggly predicament.
Thor suddenly jumped from next to Loki.
“EHEEE!”
The squeal echoed through the training room much to the gods amused and adoration at the boy- the boy himself- as if finally remembering he was free, turned around and tried crawling away.
He squeaked when a strong hand wrapped around his ankle “now hold on little spiderling!” Thor chuckled. Peter laughed at the silliness- before he could however think of how to make this harder for the gods, arms wrapped around his torso “Now I gotcha!” Loki growled and flung the boy back as if he weighted nothing.
Peter laughed without either of them even touching him- “are you laughing at us young Stark!?” Thor asked in disbelief and crossed his arms. “NOhOho!” Peter tried to reassure but failed expertly. Loki sniggered “I believe he is dear brother.. better give him something to laugh about huh?”
Thor grinned “I do believe you’re right brother” he mused.
Loki sniggered “ready to call for help yet Petey?” He muttered into his ear and the boy scrunched up with a barking a laugh “NEhEhEVER!” He declared boldly.
Loki tutted and looked at his brother. “Stark said his thighs and knees are ticklish.”
Thor chuckled at the protest of a shriek that came from Peter which though was quickly drowned by hysterical laughter as Lokis fingers went into his pits.
The god of thunder didn’t wait long for his own entrance and squeezed the boys thigh which, amusingly enough, with each squeeze they gained a higher squeal out of the boy.
Loki chuckled and shook his head, the boy could lean left or right and roll off, he could even put up a fight with his strength.. and yet..
“AHYEHE! OHOKAY!” Peter barked out and the gods let up.
Loki raised an eyebrow “you’ll call for help?” He mused and waited as the boy caught his breath.
Peter stifled most of his giggles before his hand went to squeeze Lokis own side.
To the boys surprise and glee Loki jumped.
The god sent him a warning glare “peter I’d truly advise against that” “why?” The boy grinned up at the god. “May I remind you that I am a god?”
Peter’s own mischief twinkled in his eyes “Thor will probably help me..” he mused. Loki raised an eyebrow “probably?” He mused “my brother is worse than me Buddy.”
Peter’s eyes widened at that “b-but we’ll be two!” He smiled timidly. Loki huffed “Are you going to call for help or not?”
The boy’s shoulders jumped as he chuckled through his nose.
Loki grinned “Unbelievable..” he hushed and looked at Thor. “You know, there’s a specific technique that got Thor to give in when we were children.” He said and watched as his brothers confusion morphed into surprise and glee.
Peter swallowed nervously and giggled “Thihis isn’t one ohof your Ahasgardian things right?” Loki laughed “No, this works all too perfectly on mortals”
Peter shivered at the sly grin. His silly grin fought its way right back onto his face “n-now hold on, no need for drastic- MEASURES!” He yelped when Loki suddenly rapidly squeezed and scribbled his side which sent sparks through his whole body. “HEHEY!” He squeaked and leaned away- falling onto the mats, front first, the gods hand on his back. “Uh-huh- Loki?” Peter asked and hoisted himself onto his elbows as he slowly understood his position- his face would lay awkwardly on the mats if he tried to shield his armpits. But if he kept his face from squeezing onto the mats they’d be open wide.
Loki chuckled at the giddy expression on the boys face. “You gonna call for help?”
Again. Peter shook his head.
It was fair to say that the god was not only surprised at the will to play but also at the stamina of the kid.
“Oh you’re asking for it.” He smirked down at the boy.
Peter squeaked in surprise at the demeanour change but didn’t get to dwell on it as the hands plummeted into his armpits.
“LOHOKIEHEHEEE!” Peter kicked his legs into the mats to try and relieve the tickle shocks even if only just lightly- Lokis nimble fingers found the sweet spot with practiced ease and vibrated on one armpit while on the other he scribbles.
Peter was probably loosing his lil head in the playful moment but the raging storm outside was positively forgotten.
“NAHAHAY! TOHOHOR!” Peter’s new protest made Loki look back and find Thors bold hands tickle the soles of the poor kid.
Chuckles from the door which ripped Lokis attention away from his attack and his hands slowed down enough for Peter to crank an eye open. “MIHIST- EHEY!” The boy scolded through his laughter and turned to look at Thor.
The billionaire in the doorway laughed “alright you two, let the kid up. I still need him today for lab time” Thor chuckled “do not worry stark! You’ll have young Stark with you in no time.” He mused. Loki rolled his eyes and sniggered “you good kid?”
Peter laughed but nodded and pushed Loki playfully “ahabout the move; IHi’m soho on your side- but I aham also so gehetting you back someday”
Loki raised a challenging eyebrow and then slowly, his ‘claws’.
Peter squeaked and rolled away “nohot today!” He laughed and got to his feet, hands in front of his body to protect himself.
The men laughed in choir.
“Loki we should continue training.” Thor stated, full of new enthusiasm. Loki glared at him “we are not doing get help” Thor grinned at him “we should.” Loki frowned “Peter—“
“NOPE! YOU GOT THIS!” Peter yelled with a laugh as he rushed out of the room.
The two gods laughed heartedly at the boys exit with Stark and got up. Maybe they could get along for awhile every now and again.
Meanwhile let’s hope Steve will be just as merciful as mister Stark was on Peter.
“Don’t get in trouble with them, huh?” His mentor asked with his smirk obvious in his voice.
Peter rolled his eyes with an obvious smile and flushed cheeks, his hand going through his disheveled hair.
Never mind..

______________________________________________________________
Clinks of glasses together filled the air as everyone celebrated a mission well done. Task Force 141 had just completed their latest mission without a hitch, so Captain Price decided to treat the team with a night at their local bar. Laughter and chatter filled the cozy building. You sat at the bar, giggling with Soap, drinking your third beer of the night.
“Ye wouldn’t believe the shite he wis goin on aboot!” Soap leans his head against his arms, shaking from his laughter. “He wis sayin’ shite like ‘two goldfish ar’ inna tank’, an’ one of ‘em goes ‘ye know how to drive this thing?’” Soap’s voice goes deep as he imitates Ghost, and the two of you burst out laughing. Out of the corner of your eye, you see Ghost (sitting next to Soap) glower slightly at him. Your ribs hurt as you try to contain your giggles.
“Right, what’s all this then?” You hear a voice say. Soap and you look up at Price, giving him a half hearted salute as you both come down from your laughter.
“Ah, Johnny was just telling me something funny that Ghost said!” You smile, still slightly giggling. Price smiles at the two of you.
“I’m glad to see you both enjoying yourselves, even if it’s at the expense of our dear Lieutenant.” You see Ghost roll his eyes and lift his mask to take a sip of his drink. “You all worked very hard on our last mission, you all deserve a bit of rest and reprieve.” You smile at Price.
“Thank you captain! We couldn’t have done it without your excellent leadership.” Price waves his hand, grinning.
“Ah, it’s nothing without a good team. Anyways, I’ll let you three get back at it.” He waves as he goes over to where Gaz and Laswell are chatting.
Soap nudges your shoulder and leans close to your ear. “Better be careful thir, Sergeant, he wis given’ ye th’ eyes…” He giggles and you punch his arm, causing him to pull back, rubbing his where you hit him.
“Oh, stick a sock in it, Mactavish! As if!” You rolled your eyes at his comment. You had to admit though, Captain Price was a good looking man. But you would never get with your superior.
“Ooo, does ‘at mean yer open to other options, love?” He says in an exaggerated flirty voice as he leans close to you, batting his lashes. You bark out a laugh and shove him back causing him to go into a fit of giggles.
“Once again, stick a sock in it, Mactavish, you dog!” You break into a series of giggles with Soap. In your mind though, you look at him differently. Johnny is definitely a very attractive man, but you guys were just friends. Nothing more, nothing less…
The night flew by. At one point, Gaz had challenged you and Soap to a karaoke contest, and you three treated the bar to a drunken rendition of ‘California Girls’. Let’s just say, you were absolutely hammered. To the point Price insisted on driving you home along with Gaz. You accepted the offer, as you had walked here and didn’t feel like walking back home. Around 1 am, Price dragged you and Gaz out of the bar, yelling goodbye to Soap as he was also being dragged out by Ghost, who was his ride home. He drunkenly waved bye to you as he leaned against Ghost for support.
Price helped you into the back seat, as Gaz had won the front sit through rock, paper, scissors. The ride to your house was filled with laughter as you and Gaz shared stories and jokes, Price silent the whole time with a soft smile on his face. Once at your house, Price wrapped an arm around you and helped you inside. He gently sat you on your couch.
“Alright, I believe you can handle the rest now.” You grinned and saluted him. He chuckled and ruffled your hair. “G’nite, dear. See you in a few days.” He said before waving goodbye, making sure the door was locked behind him as he left.
You stretched and yawned. You stumbled slightly going down the hall to your bedroom. You changed out of your clothes and into loose fitting pajamas, before snuggling underneath your covers. You sighed contently as you drifted off to sleep…
Bang.
You jolted awake. You looked around. You were still in your bedroom, snuggled in your blankets. You groan and roll over, attempting to go back to sleep.
Bang.
Your eyes shot open once again. You slowly lean up in your bed, looking towards your bedroom door. What was that? You think. You hear more small bangs and rustling from down the hall. Slowly, you crawl out of your bed, grabbing your phone, and inch towards the door. You wince as your door creaks when you open it. You hear the sounds stop.
You exit your room as quietly as you can, and begin inching down the hall. You reach the end of the hall and peek out towards the living room. Your heart sinks as you see two, large, black figures facing you. You squint slightly. Something about the figures seems… familiar. You hold up your phone and turn on the flashlight and shine it into the living room. You almost sigh in relief when the light reveals Soap and Price standing in your living room. You then furrow your brow. What the hell are they doing here?
You step into the living room, and take note of the open window. Did they fucking climb through the window? “What the hell are you two doing here? It’s the middle of the night.” You cross your arms and glare at the two of them. They both glance at each other and grin as if they’re in on a joke.
“There she is…” Says Soap, taking a small step closer to you. You don’t know why, but you take a step back, feeling uneasy about this whole situation. Price smiles at you, an unreadable look in his eyes.
“Don’t run love, it’s okay…” Price says quietly, and you shiver slightly from the tone of his voice. Soap takes another step towards you, you take another step back. He and Price rake their eyes unabashedly up and down your body, causing your cheeks to heat. They take in where your night shirt has slipped down your shoulder, exposing your bra strap, where your pajama pants have sagged slightly, exposing your hips. Soap groans slightly at the sight, making your face heat even more.
“God love… Ye have no idea what ye do to us…” Soap takes another step forward, you take one backwards. He starts slowly stepping closer and closer, and out of apprehension, you walk slowly backwards back into the hall, inching towards your bedroom. Soap begins speaking in a low, husky tone.
“What ye were wearin’ tonite almos’ ‘ad me an’ Price bend ye over the bar…” You blush furiously. Soap eyes haven’t left yours once, practically burning a hole through your head. “Ye always look so intoxicatin’... The way ye sway yer hips… The way yer lips look when ye smile…” He groans lowly. “Yer a damn drug… ye know that?” His pupils are blown wide, with what you can now identify as lust. You go to take another step back, but trip on your own feet and drop your phone. You fall flat on your ass and are helpless as Soap stands before you. He crouches slowly, eyes never leaving yours. He grabs a hold on your ankles and yanks you so you’re underneath him.
He leans down next to your ear and speaks low. “...We’re gunna fuckin’ ruin you tonite, babes…” Your whole body shivers at his words, and your face flushes red. He looks into your eyes, searching for anything that would say no. You look back at him and bite your lip lightly. He grins and slowly drags you out of the hall by your ankles, his eyes burning into your own. When you enter the living room again Price is still standing there, and you lock eyes.
Soap drops your ankles and leans over you once again, arms caging you in. “What a pretty girl ye are…” And presses his lips to yours in a searing kiss. You let out a soft moan into his mouth, and wrap your arms around his neck. You feel him move to the side as you see Price get down on his knees and lean over you, pressing a kiss to your neck. You feel his hand drift down to your waistband.
“How about we take these off, love…” Price’s hands toy with your waistband. Soap breaks the kiss long enough for you to whisper out a breathy ‘yes’, before recapturing them. He slips his tongue into your mouth as Price presses kisses along your neck and slowly slips your pajama pants downward.
He tugs them completely off and slips down so he’s facing your underwear. Head in between your thighs, he presses a kiss to the inside of your thigh, causing you to let out a moan into Soap’s mouth. Soap’s hands begin slipping underneath your night shirt and upwards towards your chest.
“May I take these off, dear?” Price asks, finger hooking underneath the waistband of your underwear. Soap breaks the kiss and asks with his eyes to take off your shirt. You breathily say yes to both, and feel your underwear being slipped off as your shirt is lifted above your head. Soap’s hands find the clasp at the front of your bra and looks at you asking. You nod, and he unclasps your bra and admires your exposed chest, before recapturing your mouth. He kneads your chest as you feel Price moving closer to your exposed heat.
“You look absolutely wonderful, love…” Price groans and licks a strip up your heat, causing you to moan into Soap’s mouth.
“That’s it love, keep makin’ those pretty sounds’ fur us…” Soap says, breaking the kiss to gaze into your eyes. Price wraps his arms around your thighs as he sucks on your clit. You gasp and squirm as he prods at your entrance with his tongue, his mouth hot on your sex. Soap takes off his shirt and grins as you rake your eyes over his chest. “Like wit ye see, lass?” He then buries his face into your neck and gently bites as you arch your back to Price’s work.
“Doin’ so good for us, pretty girl… Gonna make sure ye can’t walk in the mornin’...” Price groans in agreement, sending vibrations into your heat. You shiver and whine as Price laps at you. You feel a knot begin to tighten in your lower belly. Price moves his efforts to your clit, and you feel one of his fingers prod at your entrance. You moan loudly as you feel his finger slip into you. You feel Soap grin against your neck.
You gasp as Price pumps in another finger, stretching you out. You clutch onto Soap like a lifeline as your thighs shiver, causing him to chuckle.
“Careful now, Captain, ye don’ wanna break her now do ye?” If you could, you’d glare at him, but the feeling of Price’s tongue and fingers has your mind practically melting. Price says nothing, he just doubles his efforts, pumping faster and sucking harshly on you. You moan loudly, the knot in your belly tightening significantly. You’re so close.
“Johnny… Price… ‘M so close, ah!” You slur out, your whole body trembling in pleasure.
“I know dear, I can feel ya. I’ll take care of you, don’t you worry your pretty little head…” Price says, before returning his efforts to your bud. Soap recaptures your lips in a heated kiss, his hands brushing over your chest. He sucks on your tongue, and the knot gets tighter and tighter. And then it snaps.
You moan loudly into Soap’s mouth, your eyes rolling to the back of your head. Price slows his efforts and helps you down from your high, your whole body shaking from it. Soap breaks the kiss and you gasp for air, chest heaving. Price finally pulls away from you, and you glance up at him, his beard glistening from his work. He and Soap glanced at each other and began undressing in front of you. Once stripped to their boxers, Soap and Price switched. Soap knelt between your legs, and Price knelt behind you, gently sitting you up and leaning you against his chest. Soap gently rubbed your thighs and looked you in the eyes as he removed his boxers. His cock sprung out and your eyes widened as you took in its length. He grinned and grabbed your legs.
“Liking what yer seein’, doll?” You rolled your eyes at his comment, and flicked his shoulder with your hand. Price and Soap chuckled and he began positioning his shaft to your entrance. He looked in your eyes for any objection, but you just nodded and whispered it was okay to continue. Nodding, he gently pressed his tip to your entrance, the both of you letting out a soft groan. Slowly, he pushed into you, making him curse at your tightness and causing you to lean your head back on Price’s shoulder, who leaned down and kissed your cheek.
“You’re being such a good girl for us, dear.” He whispered in your ear, causing you to shiver. Soap bottomed out and stayed there for a moment, huffing. Slowly, he pulled out, and then thrusted back in, making the two of you gasp. A delicious burn traveled through you as he gently thrusted in and out. The burn gave way to immeasurable pleasure as you let out moan after moan for each thrust.
“Johnny… Fast- Faster… Please…” You moaned, head laid back on Price’s shoulder.
Soap chuckled slightly, groaning. “Anythin’ ye want, pretty girl.” He wrapped his arms around you and pulled you to his chest, sitting up. And then he began pounding into you, causing you to cry out. He huffed and moaned into your ear, holding you close. The knot in your belly formed again and tightened slowly, making you curl your toes.
“Aww, Price… Yer lookin’ awfully lonely over there…” Soap cooed, grinning. He stopped thrusting into you and you whined at the loss of friction. “Easy there, lass… Thought we should include our Captain… Whit’d ye think, love? Should we?” You dumbly nodded your head, wanting more than anything for Soap to continue pounding into you. You heard Price groan lowly, and the sound of clothes shuffling. Then you felt hands grabbing your ass, and a finger poke into your hole. You gasped at the feeling, and moaned as Price pumped in his finger, stretching out your entrance. You tucked your head into Soap’s neck, and whined as Price put in another finger, then a third.
“There’s a good girl… Doing so good…” Price whispered in your ear, making you whimper. Price removed his fingers, and you felt his cock tease the entrance of your ass. “This is gonna be a bit uncomfortable, darling. Don’t worry, I’ll take it slow…” Price kissed your neck, and slowly began to push in. You winced slightly at the stretch, and Soap pressed a kiss on your head and rubbed your back soothingly. Price gripped your waist like a lifeline, and hissed as he bottomed out. The three of you sat there for a moment as you caught your breath, adjusting to the feeling of the two men inside you. You’d never felt so full before.
Finally, after a couple minutes, you spoke. “O-Okay… You can… You can move now…” You wrapped your arms around Soaps neck, face still buried in his neck. You felt Soap smile into your hair, and Price rubbed your waist affectionately. They both slowly pulled out and pushed back in. The air was filled with low groans and breathy moans as the two men slowly pumped into you. Your nails dug into Soap’s shoulders.
“Ah… Faster, please…” You moaned, feeling the knot tighten once more in your belly.
“Ye sure, babes? Don’t wanna… hah… hurt ye…” Soap groaned. You heard Price make a noise of agreement. You whined slightly.
“Please… You won’t hurt me, please… I need more…” Soap and Price groaned at the sound of your neediness.
“Whatever you want, love.” Price said, before the two of them began harshly thrusting into you. You practically screamed at the feeling. They both moaned loudly at the way you clenched around them.
“Thas’ it, thas’ a good girl. Takin’ us so well.” Soap groaned in your ear, lightly biting your earlobe. All you could do was moan in response, brain turned to mush by the two men. You were sandwiched between them, being used as their own personal fuck toy. And you love it. It was a dream come true. You felt their thrusts become sloppy, their moans stuttering slightly. You could feel your own release coming as well.
“Johnny, Price, So- So close! ‘M gonna, ah!” You moaned. You felt one of Price’s hands come up and grip the back of your neck. He pulled your neck back so you were looking at him.
“Go ahead, come on our cocks, love.” He pulled you into a heated kiss. You whined into his mouth as the knot got tighter and tighter. Soap threw his head back, his thrusts getting even sloppier, and he let out a slew of curses.
You let out high pitched moan after moan, the knot getting unbelievably tight. Any second now… You were almost there. Your head felt lighter and lighter, and a ringing started in your ears, washing out the moans of Soap and Price. You were so close. It was about to snap, you were so close you could taste it. And then it snapped and-
BDING!
You jolted.
Your eyes popped open and you squinted. Sunlight filtered into your room through your curtains, hinting it was early afternoon. You sat up, looking around, blinking quickly. Everything was in place from last night, your clothes laying on the floor. You looked down. You were still in your pajamas. You scratched your head, confused. You crawled out of bed and walked down the hall, hesitantly. You peeked into the living room. It was normal. The window was latched and closed. There wasn’t a pillow out of place.
“What the fuck…?” You mumbled. Was that all… a dream?
BDING!
You turned your head back to your bedroom. Was that your phone…? You walked back to your room and grabbed your phone.
You had a couple unread texts from Soap.
You opened your phone and read his shitty typing. He was asking if you wanted to come hangout with him, Ghost, and Gaz today. They were going to see a movie and then walk around town a bit.
“Ony if yer not so hammered from last nite lol.” He typed. You rolled your eyes and texted back that you’d meet up with them at the movie theater. A couple minutes later, he texted back with the time they’re meeting. You agreed and said you’d see them there. You then sat your phone on your bed and stared at the wall.
Memories of your dream drifted back into your mind and you blushed slightly. What was that all about…? You didn’t have any feelings for either of them… you thought you didn’t at least. You shook your head. You only had a couple hours before you had to meet up with the others. So you took a cold shower and changed into a casual outfit.
You walked down the hall and glanced at the living room, your dream drifting to the front of your mind. Your face flushed and you shook your head once again, trying to clear it.
With that, you grabbed your keys and headed out, making sure to lock your door behind you. Hopefully, you could forget about it today.
What a weird fucking dream.

HR (Stan x fem!Reader)
Summary: you decide to give your boss a little scare
Warnings: playful flirting, nothing overtly sexual
"Did you see what Stan was wearing yesterday? That open collar..."
"Ew! He's like my grandpa. Why would you even say that?" Wendy made a fake gagging sound. You enjoyed having her as a coworker, despite sometimes forgetting she was nearly ten years younger than you.
You'd started working at the Mystery Shack in the spring, while Wendy was still in school, and when summer began, you were grateful to finally have someone to talk to when things were slow in the giftshop. Her and Dipper even invited you onto the roof occasionally. It was nice to have someone to confide in about your crush, too, even if she pretended it was super gross.
"Why don't you ask him out already? He'll say yes, I mean he stares at you constantly." She was right - the world's darkest pair of sunglasses couldn't hide Stan's obvious gaze over your figure as you stocked the shelves every day. Not to mention calling you "doll" any chance he got. But until now, you'd pretended to be blissfully unaware, biding your time patietly.
"Oh, I will," you assurred Wendy, "but I'm gonna give him hell first. I got a plan, just wait."
---
"Yeah, and when you're done with that, there's a leak in the roof you can look at." Stan's gruff voice rang out through the gift shop as he and Soos entered.
"On it, boss," Soos saluted Stan before approaching the checkout desk, "What's up dudes?"
"Hey Soos," you pretended not to notice Stan behind him, "do you know who's in charge of HR here? Is it you?" You felt a little bad roping the ever-innocent Soos into your mischief, but the suddenly panicked look on Stan's face was worth it.
Soos began to repond, "Gee, I guess I've been here the longest, so--"
Stan cut him off, nudging Soos to the side and placing his palms on the counter. He leaned close and said, "You're lookin' at HR." He squinted his eyes suspiciously, "Why d'ya ask?"
"Oh its nothing, just" you put on your best poker face and shrugged, "maybe I need to report some inappropriate behavior."
Wendy hid her face in her comic book to stop herself from laughing, but poor Soos looked very concerned. You prayed Wendy had the heart to explain the ruse to him once you and Stan were out of the room. At your words, Stan just sighed and gestered toward his office.
Once inside, he removed his fez, sat on the edge of the desk, and rubbed the bridge of his nose under his glasses, "Look, doll, I'll be straight with you. You do good work, but Wendy 'n Soos have been here a whole lot longer and I have a hard time believing either of them would--"
"My issue isn't with them." You crossed your arms and he raised an eyebrow at you as you continued, "I should slap you, the way you gawk at me all day. And all those pet names? You must think I'm stupid."
Stan didn't look as shocked as you'd hoped. Instead he chuckled with the corner of his mouth and got to his feet.
"Wouldn't be the first time." He said. His arms hung at his sides. He closed his eyes and turned his head. His shoulders and neck tensed and he braced for the impact.
Suddenly your palms were sweaty, you hadn't expected this. Was he actually going to let you slap him?
After a moment, he partially opened one eye, "Well, get it over with already."
"Mr. Pines... I'm not gonna slap you."
His body relaxed and he shrugged, "I 'preciate that, but I'm pretty sure I deserve it this time."
You smirked at him, "I won't slap you, but only because I'm afraid you'd like it."
Stan chuckled a bit, but you could tell you'd flustered him. He rubbed the back of his neck and looked at the floor.
"Look doll--" he coughed, catching himself, "look, I'm sorry if I made ya uncomfortable, I promise I'll stop. But, if you could just keep this between us..."
"An apology isn't good enough. I'd hate to see your good reputation ruined, Mr. Pines."
Stan sighed and headed for the chair behind his desk. As he sat down he muttered, "Figured. You always were a fiesty one." He started rummaging through a drawer in the desk.
"Alright, what do ya want, a raise?" He pulled out the paperwork he was looking for and slid it towards you. You just shook your head at him.
Defeated, he leaned back in his chair and crossed his arms.
"Okay, this aint the first time I've been blackmailed. What'll buy your silence?"
At this point you couldn't hide your smile. You approached the desk and leaned over, your low-cut top perfectly showing off your cleavage in front of him. His eyes darted to the corner of the ceiling and he swallowed.
"Stan," it was the first time you'd ever used his first name in front of him, "we both know what I really want isn't silence."
He stole a few quick glances at you before studying the ceiling again. "What's your point?"
"I want you to take me out to dinner."
He did a touble-take and sat straight up in his chair, "Come again?"
"I like the attention, Stan," you laughed at him, "but I wasn't gonna give you what you wanted without a good scare first." You shot him a wink across the desk.
Stan's cheeks flooded pink, he was speechless.
You prodded him, "Well, did I? Scare you?"
Stan dramatically clutched his chest, "Ya nearly put me in an early grave, doll."
He stood and moved back to your side of the desk with a chuckle. "Was Wendy in on this?"
"Oh, of course."
With one arm, Stan grabbed you by the waist and pulled you into him, looking deeply into your eyes, "You make a pretty good con, y'know." His free hand found its way to your jaw and he pulled you into an energetic kiss that lasted several wonderful seconds.
As he pulled away, you flashed him a devilish smile, "I learned from the best."
I'm not the most proud of this fic, quality-wise, but it's been sitting finished in my drafts so I might as well post it. I will say this is not very ethical but it's just meant to be a fun story, don't take it too seriously

Previous Chapter
“I don’t want to go,” I whined, packing up the individual bags of cookies I had made for dagger squad, Penny, and Maverick who were all going to be at the Hard Deck. Natasha was determined to get me out to the bar in something other than pajamas, holding up a denim mini skirt I hadn’t worn since college and black tank top.
“You’re going, I’ll buy you as many shots of tequila as it requires to get you to stay.” Tequila. My weakness. I ran a hand through my hair, glaring at the tiny skirt.
“I don’t even know if my ass still fits in that.”
“Just put it on, we’re leaving in ten.” I grabbed the outfit, grumbling in protest.
Much to my surprise, the skirt did fit. Barely. I sure as hell wasn’t going to be playing pool in it because if I bent over to take a shot, my whole ass would be out. I threw on a red lip and some black cowgirl boots, slipping a book and a notebook into my bag just in case I needed a reprieve.
“Is your fine ass ready to go?” Natasha shouted up the stairs, “We’re going to be late!”
“Oh no, I’d never want to be late for something I didn’t want to do in the first place.” Natasha rolled her eyes at me, pulling me out of the apartment as quickly as her legs would take us. “I am going to drain your bank account with the amount of tequila I’m about to drink, Tasha.”
“Do your worst, Daisy.”
The bar was loud and filled with too many people for my liking. True to her word, Natasha bought me two shots of tequila and a beer to kick off the night before we even got to the table where all her friends were hanging out.
“Daisy!” Rooster shouted in greeting and Bob gave me a small salute. What the hell did they put in the water around here? There were three more handsome guys with the group, all of which offered me a smile and a once over.
“Hey, guys. You must be Payback, Fanboy, and Coyote. Natasha’s told me about you all.”
“All bad things?” The man I recognized from the pictures as Fanboy guessed, chewing on a toothpick.
“Always,” Natasha slugged him on the shoulder. “Where’s Bagman?”
“Right, here. Hey, darlin, thanks for the lasagna.” A heavy arm draped over my shoulder, pulling me in for a kiss on the forehead.
“Um, hi.” I looked up, swaying a little when I saw him. Phoenix hadn’t shown me any pictures of Hangman, claiming they weren’t close enough to have any pictures together. He was tall, blonde, with a jaw sharp enough to cut glass with, staring down at me with pretty green eyes. “Glad you liked it.” My voice was far too soft and breathy to be considered normal. Hangman winked and my whole face flushed red. “Tasha.”
“That’s enough, Bagman.” Natasha tugged me from his side, “First Rooster and now you, I told your animals to behave around her.” Hangman and Rooster shared looks of mock offense, grinning.
“I’m behaving,” Bob piped up, a mouthful of peanuts.
“Yes, thank you, Bob, you’re behaving.” Natashja sat me between her and Bob at the table, keeping an arm around my waist.
“I’m behaving too, Phoenix,” Coyote grinned, leaning across the table. “See? Listen, Daisy, are you liking it in Cali so far?”
“It’s a little hot but the change in scenery is nice, have some cookies.” I dug into my bag, “Chocolate chip or M&M?”
“You made cookies?” Fanboy nearly spilled his beer. “I can be good too! You’re a writer, right, Daisy?”
“M&M, please.” Coyote immediately dug in.
“I am, do you want M&M too?” The whole group started asking me questions, being rewarded with their own bag of cookies. Natasha teased that I was treat-training them like a pack of wild dogs.
Eventually, my newness wore off and the group separated. Hangman and Coyote went for darts and the rest went for the pool table. After a few more shots and a dance around the floor with Rooster, Bob, and Coyote, I finally escaped from Phoenix long enough to grab my notebook. There was a new character in my head, speaking softly about what she saw and what she wanted.
The words flowed freely, blue ink cursive neatly filling page after page. My publisher was going to be giddy at the prospect of another series, I could already hear her excited laughter ringing in my ears, followed by the click of her gold cigarette lighter. I smoke menthols, the unnamed character whispered to me, and I drink my coffee black. A tough woman, an agency legacy. FBI? CIA? NCIS. I chuckled softly, glancing up at all the uniforms drinking around me. I should have seen that one coming.
“You’re cute when you’re focused,” Hangman’s southern drawl broke my concentration, the still nameless woman slipping away back into my imagination. Damn it. “You bite your bottom lip.”
“You must have lost at darts if you were paying that much attention to me, pretty boy.” Hangman’s smirk morphed into a grin, making him even prettier than before, which was a problem. My stomach fluttered in a way that was concerning to feminism.
“If that’s supposed to be an insult, I don’t understand how. I’m the prettiest boy in this goddamn state.” And he was, I laughed, forcing myself to look away from him and back at my notebook. “What are you writing?”
“A new-” Hangman slid into the booth next to me, his warm, masculine scent filling the space around us. “Um,” What was I saying again? He was watching me squirm, sipping on his beer as my blush deepened. “I got a new idea and I had to write it down before I lost it.” Hangman’s eyes flickered to the notebook and I quickly flipped it shut.
“Even your handwriting is pretty, darlin. Almost as pretty as your cooking,” The line itself didn’t make sense but his delivery made it work.
“You like my cooking?”
“I like everything about you, Daisy,” He slid even closer. Hangman was just as confident and flirty as Natasha had warned me and despite how pretty he was and how into me he seemed, I didn’t buy his interest for a second. I burst out laughing, covering my mouth with my hand.
“You’re really laying it on thick, aren’t you?” Hangman’s brow scrunched in confusion, “The whole hot aviator hitting on me every thirty seconds is just too much.” Hangman sat back, watching me laugh until I couldn’t breath, his eyebrows raised.
“Are you done, darlin?” I held up a finger, trying to catch my breath. “You know, I think this is the first time a woman’s ever cracked up at my flirting.”
“Happy to be your first, Hangman.” I pushed his shoulder, filing the fact that his muscles felt extremely soft to the touch in a filing cabinet deep within my brain never to be opened.
“Well, if hot shot Hangman isn’t your speed, then hi.” He held out his hand, his eyes going soft, “I’m Jake Seresin, thank you for sending me dinner last night. It was the best meal I’ve eaten since Christmas.” Oh. Oh.
“Nice to meet you, Jake. I’m Daisy Prentiss and I’ll cook whenever you’d like.”
“Now who’s flirting?”
“It’s not flirting,” Okay, it was a little bit of flirting, I couldn’t help myself. “I’ll feed the rest of the daggers too.” Jake smiled and this time it wasn’t cocky or flirting, it was soft and genuine.
“I look forward to it, sweetheart.”
X
I watched closely as Hangman sat with Daisy, convincing her to drink water between shots of tequila, which were actually water because he was filling the shot glass with it every time she looked away. I’d never admit it but they looked like a happy couple, having a night out on the town.
“I’ve never seen him look at a woman like that,” Coyote sidled up to me at the bar, offering me a beer. “Hangman is nowhere in sight.”
“I’ll beat the shit out of him if he hurts her, Javy.” His pinky brushed mine and I had to fight a smile.
“I’ll hold him down for you.”

Chapter 5
18+ MINORS AND THOSE WITHOUT AGE IN BIO DNI
tags: @illiana-mystery, @iobsessoverfictionalmen
warnings: swearing, period accurate sexism and misogyny, bigotry
After taking me out cruising around Castle Rock, Ace had backed off slightly. I went back to work and Ace tried not to hang around all the time. I looked up from the register as Eyeball came into the shop.
"Hey." I said as he walked over. He smiled at me.
"Hey." Eyeball handed me a piece of paper. "Ace didn't think he'd be able to come in today." I noticed the second piece of paper tucked behind the first and looked at the top of it. In Ace's neat handwriting was his reason for not coming himself. He thought he'd blow my cover. I ducked my head to hide my smile as Eyeball chuckled. "Sent me with the list."
"That busy today huh?" I asked as Gary came out onto the floor. Eyeball wasn't a stranger to the shop, but Gary really only tolerated Ace. The other boys he seemed to have a vendetta against.
“yeah. I finished my car pretty quick so ace said to come get the shit we need.” Eyeball said, eyeing Gary who was skirting around the edge of the shop. “He said stop by the office for rent on your way to the apartment.” I nodded as I grabbed the stuff off the list. Ducking behind the counter, I folded up aces note and shoved it in my pocket. I grabbed a can of oil and slid it onto the counter.
“alright that’s all of it.” I said. “I can bring the paint that came in when I get off. I know those cars aren’t coming in until next week.” Eyeball nodded and handed over the money.
“see ya later (Y/B/N).” Eyeball said as he lugged everything out the door.
“I still can’t believe you live above that shop.” Gary said, standing at the window and watching eyeball head into the garage.
“It was cheap and clean.” I shrugged. “Ace isn’t a terrible landlord and our hours work out. By the time I’m here, they’re opening. When I’m going home, they’re closing. I can’t complain much about that.” Gary shook his head.
“guess not.” He shrugged. “Why don’t you take the rest of the day off? Relax for a bit.” I shrugged.
“sure. Why not?” I joked. I went in back to grab the paint and boxed it up. “See ya tomorrow Gary.” I called as I walked through the shop.
“take the week off! Consider it a perk of employee of the month!” Gary called back. I laughed and waved over my shoulder. I headed over to the garage and nodded at the guys as I walked over to the office.
“ace!” I called, leaning against the door and looking over the shop.
“out back smoking!” Billy called back. “Remind me to cut your hair tomorrow. It’s getting a bit long!” I saluted him before heading out back.
“hey handsome.” I said, walking over to ace. He smirked at me as he leaned against the building. “Gary can see us so don’t do anything.”
“wouldn’t dream of it.” He said, smiling at me as I leaned against the wall next to him. “Get my note?”
“yeah but I didn’t read the whole thing.” I said. “Gary cut me once eyeball left. Gave me the rest of the week off.” Ace nodded.
“sounds nice.” He said. “Got any plans?” I shook my head.
“not unless you wanna head to the next town over…” I hinted. Ace smiled at me.
“Sounds like a plan.” Ace agreed. He put out his cigarette and we headed back in. “Thanks for bringing the paint over.” I nodded and ace sat down on the couch, ushering me over. I sat down next to him and he threw an arm over my shoulders. “Feels nice to just sit for a minute.”
“yeah it does.” I agreed. “Remind me to have Billy cut my hair tomorrow. He said it was getting long.” Ace nodded before leaning his head against mine.
“sounds good. We can head out before he does it.” Ace said. “I’ll talk to him.” We settled into a comfortable silence. Ace grabbed my legs and pulled them into his lap. I laughed and kissed him softly. “Been wanting to do that all day. It’s why I didn’t go over there.” I nodded and kissed him again. “Why don’t you read my note?” I pulled it out of my pocket and unfolded it.
“Or you could tell me what you said?” I bargained. Ace chuckled before nodded.
“Well first off, you look very nice today.” Ace said, kissing my cheek. “And I explained that I couldn’t go in today because I didn’t think I could stop myself. I don’t know how I’m holding back now.” Ace teased. I smiled at him and pulled him in for another kiss.
“you don’t need to anymore ace.” I whispered. “We’re in your office. In your garage. You can kiss me all you want.” Ace squeezed my waist as he kissed me deeply. He hummed as I cupped his cheeks.
“you need to shave soon.” I said as I pulled away. Ace laughed before running his hand over his jaw.
“probably.” He agreed. “Wouldn’t want to grow a beard.”
“I like the stubble. But a beard would be a bit much.” I agreed.
“hmmm.” Ace smirked at me. “That gives me an idea.”
“what idea?” I asked. Ace picked me up and threw me over his shoulder. I laughed as I grabbed onto his shirt.
“you’ll see.” He laughed as he headed up to my apartment.

i feel like sharing this snippet from ages ago that came from a timeline of events that no longer make sense? but like... this is the beginning of mikey seeing raph as mom stuff in everything ive written. like its possibleeee i could go back and implement this whole story again buttt its not very good as a whole, but still had some good scenes in it.
so this would be the 'raph was rescued from the bad thing' timeline. the 'raph and leo spent the night out trauma dumping in the van' timeline. they got home the next morning n got groundedddddd. but not before they got some fuckin mcdonalds (mikeys mad he didnt get any). and then raph got in a fight w donnie cuz donnie was worried about where the fuck they went all night. that whole thing kinda sent him into another dissociative state, one he wants to go apologize to donnie for but leos like 'nope youve been through shit youre in baby mode im big brother today i got it'. thats all the context i think you need? this parts really the only thing im tryina share from it.
--
Leo opened the bathroom door, leading Raph out into the living room. He saw Mikey on the couch practising his crochet and he smiled.
Perfect.
“Mikey?” Leo called out as he marched Raph to stand in front of him.
Mikey looked up, he pouted a little. He still seemed mad about the fast food.
“Mikey can I trust you with a very important mission?”
Mikeys pout immediately turned into a determined grin and he sat up straight and saluted.
“What’s the mission, sir?”
Leo pushed Raph to sit beside him on the sofa.
“Your mission is simple. Keep Raph cozy and safe. Protect him with your life! Do you understand?”
Mikey grinned, bouncing on his knees. “Yes sir! On it sir!”
Raph looked up at Leo in disbelief, shaking his head slightly.
Leo smirked and saluted the two of them before he went to enter their bedroom and talk to Donnie.
Raph sighed and slumped back into the sofa, he was still draped in the biggest fluffiest towel they owned, which left him unable to move his arms.
Mikey began fluffing the pillows around him, trying to tuck him in. When he was satisfied he lay another pillow against Raph’s lap so he could lay down with his head against him. He looked up at his big brother with big eyes.
“Comfortable?”
Raph sighed sarcastically and gave him a lopsided grin. “Yes, thank you, you’ve saved me from so much pain and discomfort! My hero.”
Mikey beamed and picked his crotchet hook back up, fiddling with it. Raph watched him loop and unloop yarn, it seemed therapeutic.
“How are you?” Raph asked him.
“Me? I’m fine! I’m still mad you went out without me though. Mean.”
“We’ll take you next time, I promise.”
“You better. And I want an ice cream after.”
“No happy meal?”
Mikey pouted up at him. “I’m not a baby.”
“Of course, my bad. We’ll get you one black coffee.”
That made him scrunch up his face. “You know caffeine is no good for me.”
Raph rolled his eyes. He knew very well that that would set Mikey's heart rate racing. He used to drink it sometimes, but it turned out it didn’t agree with him.
“I was joking.”
“Well! Sometimes you forget stuff.” He reached up to boop his nose.
“Mikey, I could never ever forget something as important as what keeps you safe.”
Mikey rolled his eyes and booped him again. “Yes Mom, I know.”
Raph blinked. He looked down at him with his brows knitted together.
“You don’t even call Mom that.”
His brother sat up, looking at him somewhat seriously. “I mean. She’s not, really. I know you and Leo remember her from before, but me and Donnie don’t.”
Raph knew all that. “But she’s still our mom.”
Mikey waved his hand around as if to say ‘kind of’.
“She didn’t like… birth us. Or adopt us when we were young though, right? She was.. well she was Shredder’s wife. Shredder’s only technically our dad. And you guys say she took care of us like we were her kids. But if she left when I was 3 and came back when I was 9, is that my mom?”
Raph hadn’t really thought about that part.
“But she’s your mom now.” He tried.
He shrugged. “She feels more like an aunt or something to me. Like April. Like I love her? But as far as I think moms are supposed to work I don’t see her like that.”
Raph held back saying that made him ungrateful. It had hardly worked with Leo, it definitely wouldn’t work with Mikey.
“She changed your diapers.”
“So did you!”
Raph rolled his eyes and shook his head. “No I didn’t.”
“Yes you did! When I used to wet the bed, don’t you remember?”
Raph tried to wrack his brain. He vaguely remembered Mikey at maybe five years old. Them all waking up to him crying and no adults entering the room. He remembered needing to calm him down, and finding a supply of old diapers in the closet. He didn’t remember changing him, just letting him sleep in his bed that night.
“I mean… I sort of remember something like that happening once.”
“It was more than once. I did it like on and off for months.”
Raph frowned at him. “I’m sorry, I really don’t remember…”
“That’s why I said you’re forgetful.” Mikey leaned up to flick him in the forehead.
He pouted and eyed his brother curiously. “Still, just cuz you don’t remember her doesn’t make her not your mom.”
Mikey shrugged and lay back down on his lap. “To be honest… whenever I think of what a mom is supposed to be I always picture you.”
Raph blinked, his eyes suddenly growing wet.
“You… what?”
Mikey hissed, looking up at him apologetically. “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t call you that, should I?“ His eyes grew wide when he noticed tears rolling down his cheeks, and he sat up quickly, grabbing his brother's face. “Oh no! I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have said that! Oh man, I’m really failing my mission now.”
Raph shook his head, sniffling and pulling his arms out from inside the towel to rest his hands on top of Mikey’s.
“No… no it’s fine, Mikey. I.. ugh, this will sound weird, but I don’t mind being called mom at all…”
Mikey pouted and kept holding his face. “Then why are you crying?”
Raph sniffled and laughed and looked into Mikey's eyes.
“Because that made some… weird part of my brain happy. That made me so happy I cried.”
Mikey whined and wrapped his arms around his neck tightly, hugging him close. “I’m sorry! You’re welcome!? I-I don’t know what to say!”
Raph sniffed back a laugh as he pressed his face into Mikey's plastron, hugging him back.
“I’m sorry, it’s hormonal I think.” He pulled Mikey back and sat him to rest against him on the sofa again so he could look down at him, arm draped over his shell. “If you felt like I was your mom for real I would say I feel proud of that, but also sorry you didn’t have a real one. But I love you all the same, little brother.”
Mikey stared up at him with big emotional eyes, his lower lip trembling.
“I-I love you too! Stop crying!” He wiped his own face sympathetically.
Raph just laughed, closing his eyes and letting the tears fall free. “I can’t help it!”
Mikey whined pathetically. “Leo put me in charge of you being happy and you keep crying!”
Raph smiled and let out a deep rumbly churr. Something in him sensed it was parental in nature.
Mikey chirped back and hugged him around his middle, pressing his cheek to his chest, letting the rumble comfort him.
“Do… you want me to call you mom now?” He asked.
He laughed softly and rubbed his back. “Do you want to call me Mom?”
“I-I don’t know! It’s weird!” Mikey whined and nuzzled against him.
“How about only if you want me to cry. Bust it out if I need it, maybe. It can be your secret weapon.”
Mikey smiled and let out a happy chirp. “Okay.”
The bedroom door finally opened, and Leo stepped out. He eyed his brothers and smiled softly, pressing his hand to his chest.
“Aw! Look at you two.”
Raph rubbed his eyes with his free hand and took a deep breath, trying to keep himself from crying more. He glanced at Leo and tilted his head curiously, gesturing with a nod to where Donnie was.
Leo looked back in the room and stepped out of the way.
Donnie came marching out, heading straight towards Raph and Mikey, and looked up at Raph with an apologetic frown.
Raph just stared at him back, waiting for him to say something.
But instead of saying anything Donnie just wrapped his arms around his neck and gave him a hug.
Raph was stunned. He didn’t know how to react. Donnie had never hugged him, he just wasn’t the touchy feely kind. He especially didn’t think he’d do anything like this after how angry he seemed earlier. What in the world did Leo say to him?
He carefully wrapped his free arm around his other little brother and held him gently, not wanting to frighten him off.
Donnie then climbed on top of the couch and hugged him tighter, mirroring Mikey's pose.
Raph was choked up, a baby brother in each arm, he couldn’t remember ever feeling so warm, so loved.
Then Leo sauntered up behind him and leaned over, wrapping his arms around his chest and leaning his head on top of his.
And he just started sobbing.

Choose Your Own Adventure: August
I basically had to just, cut this in half and call it a month. No voting this month, as your answers are still carrying me through to next month. Thank you all so much for backing my play on this, it means so much to me to read your comments. I know this is not god's most exciting thing, but it's the most writing I've done in a long time and that in itself is meaningful to me.
In the aftermath of a bombing, there is silence. No birds sing. No people chat to each other in the streets. No glasses full of drink with a dull thus against the wood of the table. There is only the still, dark quiet, underlaid by the one sole sound of fires burning.
So it was in the room, after Fareeha left. As Mina sat. As the fire burned.
Mina sat with her hands in her lap, not quite staring at the fire. Staring through it. Silence stretches on so long--it could not have been more than a minute since Fareeha stormed out of the room, and if one listened, her steps, firm and consistent, could still be heard echoing back into the low, glowing light of that chamber.
The firelight provided little more than the heat and dim glow promised. Rei could see things in the fire, certainly, but Mina seemed to be simply turning something over it, like a chicken, dripping from the spit.
Haruka gave a short sigh, punctuating the air, breaking the spell. Doc put her drink back to her lips, Angela let out a little sob back in her chair, and the world began to move again.
She leaned toward Mina, paused at her ear for a moment before continuing, Mina keeping her eyes on the fire all the while. A whisper.
“Why’d you do that?”
Mina looked at her, but said nothing. She simply shook her head as her wide eyes cast around the room. Trying to find a reason for herself, on the shelves, in the flames, anywhere.
But the house returned only silence.
Haruka puzzled. Of course Mina sometimes hid things, even from her, that was part of what she was supposed to do, was make judgment calls. Haruka didn’t want that job. But Lena hadn’t done anything, as far as Haruka could tell. But she didn’t always know. She wasn’t very smart, not like Minako.
Haruka touched Mina’s knee, drew back her attention. “Is Lena…you know, bad?”
Mina shook her head again, but moved away from Haruka, to the end of the couch. A pang hit Haruka’s chest, her hand still hovering where Mina’s leg should be. She lowered it, and leaned back against the seat of the couch.
It had been her, somehow. The little spark of unhappiness she had set fire to everyone else. Just because she was…Haruka would have liked to find a word other than ‘jealous’ to apply to her feelings about Fareeha, but she couldn’t come up with a better one. The whole idea of this had been to get some kind of vacation out of Overwatch courting Michiru’s family, and Mina’d wanted to see how other paramilitary groups handled things. Or so she said. Hard to say, with Mina.
Haruka flushed a little, thinking about how Fareeha, well, didn’t intimidate her, exactly, but she was a wall of a person, both in her body and in her personality. She was so exact, and so polite, but she didn’t seem to like Haruka. Not really. She was polite in the way a police dog was polite. But it didn’t come off awkward, it came off so strong, and the broad shoulders only supported the idea. Haruka found herself wanting to salute, and that anger churned up in her, that someone could be all of that, and Haruka was just, well--
You’re just a weedy and bad-tempered mutt. Never a police dog.
Haruka shook her head, though it echoed in her own voice. So why didn’t Mina go after Fareeha? Fareeha had actually been the bossy one, mostly. Even to Lena. Lena just didn’t seem to care all that much--Haruka did envy her ability to ignore a commander--and had carried on with whatever she was doing. Lena hadn’t been the one with the detailed schedule. Lena’d taken them to a pub with chicken katsu. She was, Haruka thought, nice. Fareeha seemed to like her, even, and Haruka wasn’t sure Fareeha liked anybody. Except her wife.
Why had Mina attacked her? Even for Mina, it had been a mean thing to say, especially over such a stupid argument. She was smarter than that. And now she didn’t want to even tell Haruka why. It was confusing, and she hated it. And she hated that it confused her.
It descended on her again, the difficulty of being the stupid one in a group full of smart people. The fire crackled, and she stared into the flame. No, not the stupid one.
“And if me math’s wrong, it’s because I’m not a very clever woman.”  But Lena smiled wide. She was always smiling, and it never seemed like a choice she was making.
They were standing at the edge of the road, guessing about how long it might take Lena to get to a nearby town while Fareeha groused at yet another cell phone, trying to find a connection. Haruka took a pull off her cigarette--MIna was probably right and she should cool it on the pack a day she seemed to have developed as a twitch here--and shrugged.
“Whatever that means. You probably went to fuckin…you know, Cambridge or something.”
“Sure, right,” she clapped Haruka playfully on the shoulder, “in that I ‘ave been to the English city of Cambridge.”
Lena looked at Haruka a moment, studying, and shook her head. “Love, I never went to university. I completed exactly the two A-levels the RAF needed in order to let me fly very expensive planes, very fast, and took an exam name of, ‘’aving a bloke ask me name, rank, and service number as I stood with me gas mask off, eyeballs melting out me ‘ead.’ Very exclusive program.”
“Really?”
Lena’s eyes glittered, the edges of them crunching up with a giggle.
“Clown asked for me name four times because every time he asked "Name?!?" I gave him me rank. Was a bit ‘ard to think, just then. Any’ow.  University, hah.”
“And you’re,” she tapped the ash off the end of her cigarette, “like, an officer.”
Lena took off her hat, shook the rain off it, and put it back on her head.  “Top as it gets, love, don’t let Fareeha fool you. She doesn’t outrank me, ‘owever much she likes to act as if the world rests on ‘er entirely. I let ‘er, as she isn’t ‘appy if she isn’t miserable, but they report to me same as ‘er.”
Haruka went to take another puff, and then willed herself to stop. This was an elite organization, the best people in the world, and Haruka hadn’t thought, even for a moment, that one of the leaders might have skipped the whole college experience. Haruka was never going to college, she knew that. She wasn’t smart enough.
“I know I said I’m not a very clever woman,” Lena was looking at her now, in a serious way, “But--”
“No, I mean, don’t--don’t think you’re stupid or anything--”
“I don’t, and I’m not.” Lena gave another chuckle. “Haruka. Not a person alive, asks me about university, once they see me fly. I am not being asked to be a bloody physicist when I rally people to the cause. Meantime, Ang don’t know what a sandwich is, and Fareeha acts like ‘uman interaction is a new concept she’s only now learning. What I was going to say is, I know I said I’m not a very clever woman, but I just like to take the piss out of meself now and again. I am perfectly clever, in the ways I need to be, because--” and with this she took Haruka’s elbow, and looked intensely at her. “There is more than one way to be clever, and a good operation, a good group, ‘as many as it can manage.”
She flushed. How had Lena known? She’d known Haruka felt stupid, and she’d corrected it, and Haruka felt grateful, if grateful came in an ashamed flavor. Limited edition. She was smart in some ways, too, wasn’t she? She was just as good as Ami, or Rei, or any of them. Just different.
“Yeah. I’m gonna go fix the van.”
So, she hadn’t been able to fix the van, but that didn’t mean the she didn’t have other things she could do. She could go after Lena. She could try to comfort her, the way she had Haruka. She wasn’t always as good with people as MIna, but she and Lena were alike, right? They were smart in different ways.
Haruka stood up, determined, and the three women left in the room stared at her.
“I’m going to find her.” She put back on her jacket. “I can fix it.”
----
Lena’s back was to the wall, her head tilted back against a toile of small songbirds, legs encircled by flowering green vines. A sliver of moonlight crept through a door and worked up her leg, her arm, her cheek, illuminating that small slice of corduroy and wool and freckle against the long, dark hallway behind her.
“You should have died that day, and everyone knows it! Everyone!!”
Dozens of voices rushed in, telling her dozens of other things.  It wasn’t a choice you made, Raj reassured, what else were you meant to do?. Don’t worry, you’ll have plenty of chances to die in the line of duty, Parvati added. Oh, Christmas would be so hollow without you, Florrie pressed, misty-eyed, it would feel wrong. And who’s Mondatta to me, said Aunt Lily with a shrug.
“He was…” Lena breathed in, deep, “he was a hope for something better, and--I--”
Lena, I don’t know what I would do.
She opened her eyes and almost saw him, shining tremulously in that pale silver shimmer, the grey of his fur glinting against the darkness.
It was a nasty thing to say, but that didn’t make it true. All it ever had been was an accident, a wrong step. Sometimes, in life, you lose, love. Doesn’t matter how much you tried. Doesn’t make you a villain. We’ve been over this, Lena. It’s done and dusted. Chin up. Carry on. Sun still rises in the morning.
She pinched her temples and drew her hand forward, wiping her eyes, and nodded.
Besides, said something inside of her, you have other things to do here, in this life. It was her voice, but tin around the edges, as if someone had stuffed her into an old radio. Not quite right. Not quite her.
Her back slid up the wall as she stood, brushing the birds and their floral shackles. Lena’s eyes drifted into the darkness.
There was a light there, a warm orange glow at the end of the hallway. Lena was sure--at least she thought she was sure--that there had only even been a window at the end of that hallway. She must have gotten turned around, it was true that she hadn’t been paying too much attention as she’d stormed away to find a quiet place.
One foot moved toward the light. The birds behind her let out a shrill call, but were silenced as the vines crossed over them.
A rich aroma came down the hallway, cinnamon and vanilla caressing Lena’s face. She could nearly taste it. But there’d been hardly anything in the kitchen, so far as she had seen. This place had been shut up.
But she followed, the smell getting stronger, raisins and brandy joining the parade as she became swept in the current, moving inexorably toward that golden glow. It began to feel warmer, as she drew close. There were the giggles of children. A song, playing on a faraway radio.
You’ve always been needed here. No one here wishes you died. Everything would be so much worse if you had.
There was a shout, in the back of her mind, the way her dad used to do when she climbed too high into a tree, but it was swallowed and sweetened in the warm syrup of that brandied golden door. She touched her fingertips to it, and it swung open, a zephyr of light and comfort embracing her.
The fire was blazing in the hearth, reflected in the polished tile of the mantle surrounding it. A giant tree stood in the corner of the room, covered in ribbons and bright glass balls. The table near the window was wobbling with the weight of puddings and pigs in blankets and roast potatoes, all clustered about a giant turkey.
Giggles, and then passel of children running around the room. As Lena watched them, they began to come into focus, and Lena realized she recognized them. The room was too big and too fine to have belonged to any of them, and yet, here they were. Her family. Christmas.
She put her hand on the doorknob, steeled herself to leave. This is what you want. She opened the door behind her, and then a chipper voice came from a plush velvet chair by the fireside.
“Lena?” A man with green eyes and reddish blonde hair turned to face her, “Oh love, we’ve been waiting so long! Tell me everything.” He put his hand out. “I’ve missed you, Bean.”
Lena shook her head, her back to the door, but it crawled out.
“Dad?”

As Sweet As Sugar
Pairing: Wolffe x F!Reader (no physical descriptions)
Rating: SFW
Summary: Wolffe’s date is running late, and he finds himself wondering if he made a mistake.
A.N: This is my first Wolffe fic and I don’t know what I’m doing, so I figured I’d keep Part 1 short and sweet. I know typical Wolffe fanon sees him as more of a hard dom (I mean, I get it and I’m here for it…) but I wanted to take a softer approach with this fic.
Shout out to the reader who requested “Anything with Commander Wolffe where he is just a sweet kind flirty date?”
Word Count: 687 (I’m shocked I was able to write something shorter than 2.5k words lmao)
Warnings: None, just fluff and first date awkwardness.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wolffe was beginning to regret this decision.
Dating… matchmaking? He didn’t have time for any of this. There was still much work to be done— endless stacks of reports to review and approve before he could finalize his men’s reassignments and discharge orders. It turned out that even winning the war could not put an end to all the paperwork.
He drummed his fingers on the table and scanned the busy roof-top cafe, looking any sign of his date. The glass-domed dining room was lush with exotic greenery, which provided a surprising amount of privacy to its patrons while giving the space a vibrant tropical feel, despite the cafe’s location high in Coruscant’s skyline.
“So what are you looking for, Commander Wolffe?” the matchmaker, Sander Loris, had asked him when they met in the the RTL offices.
Wolffe didn’t have an answer for Sander then, and he still wasn’t sure now.
He had visited RTL Matchmaking in an apparent moment of weakness, after meeting his brothers for drinks. Cody and Rex were both enamored and gushing about their new partners, and even kriffing Fox couldn’t stop smiling and messaging his partner the whole night. Wolffe had left that night, wondering what if.
And so here he was, several weeks later, sitting in possibly the nicest space he’d ever set foot in, waiting for a mystery date who was running late. He shifted in his seat, tugging awkwardly at his new civilian clothes. It still felt weird to wear civvies, but Cody had insisted that Wolffe wear something appropriately casual to make the right impression, instead of his officer’s uniform like Wolffe had planned.
Not that it mattered, because she still wasn’t here.
He glanced around the room again before looking out the window. The busy afternoon skylane traffic was nearly obscured by the decorative vegetation lining the windows, and he absently wondered where all those people were going and how they spent all their free civilian time.
“Commander Wolffe?” A light voice at his side snapped his attention back into the room.
All lingering reservations Wolffe held about this date evaporated quickly when he saw you standing near the table, smiling hopefully at him as you awaited his response. Your smile ran him through instantly, just as your voice had cut through the soft murmur of the cafe.
Wolffe shot up from his seat a bit too suddenly and stood straight and at attention, as if summoned by his General. “Ma’am,” he said stiffly and just barely managed to stop himself from saluting you. Instead, he held out his hand to you in a casual greeting.
You smiled and chuckled as you took his hand and insisted he call you by your first name.
Wolffe repeated your name, and it did not escape his notice how warm and soft your hand was, and how neatly it fit into his.
“Please, call me Wolffe,” he added with what he hoped was a charming smile as he released your hand, but his voice still felt stiff in his own ears.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Wolffe. And I’m so sorry to keep you waiting. This is really not how I wanted to start things, but an unfortunate emergency at work delayed me,” you winced apologetically as you sat across from him. “Even when I’m done with work, it never seems to be done with me.”
You laughed nervously and he couldn’t help but smile at the endearing sound. “Ah, yes. I’m all to familiar with that feeling.”
You visibly relaxed at his words and flashed a smile even more brilliant than the last. “Well, even so, I’m glad you didn’t bail on me.”
“Oh it takes more than that to scare me off,” Wolffe replied quickly, holding your gaze as a crooked smile curved the corner of his mouth.
You looked away first, with a bashful little smile, and diverted your focus to the menu.
Oh, that one…that was his favorite smile so far. He made it his goal for the evening to get you to give him as many of those as could get…

Kan slumped down unceremoniously onto the bench, taking a large cup and filling it to the brim with caf. Echo and Rex looked to each other and then back to her in worried glances. She had prominent bags under her eyes, and a sloppiness to her movements
“Did you actually sleep at all last night?” Rex asked hesitantly.
Kan brushed past the question, “I didn't find anything yet” She yawned, “It appears that most imperial communications are under several layers of encryption, so I've been working to decrypt them”
“You finished the transmission intercepting device already?”
“Last night” She said, glancing towards Echo, taking a long sip of caf.
“And you were… monitoring it all night?”
“No” She said plainly, “I was trying to decrypt it all night”
Echo almost winced at the thought of it. He didn't get too much sleep, but no sleep at all, especially with so little the night before, She must feel awful, he thought.
Kan finished her caf and stood, “Well, back to it” She tried to sound more awake but it came out sounding somewhat slurred.
Echo barely saw Kan over the next few days. She turned up at lunch, marginally more awake than she had been at breakfast, but missed dinner, and didn't return to the barracks that night either. The next day she missed breakfast, turned up for lunch but got her food and took it back to her office, and then missed dinner again, not turning up for the whole day after that.
Echo had to admit that he was more than a little worried about her, which only intensified when he had periodically seen her ever-darkening undereye circles. After not having seen her in the mess the whole day, he decided that he'd take her some food.
As he approached her office, he found the door open, and Kan was sat cross-legged on her chair, bent over her desk and fiddling with something while simultaneously looking over the holoscreen of her computer.
Echo cleared his throat and she let out a short squeak, jumping at the noise, then looked back at him with her glasses hanging skewed on the tip of her nose.
“Echo” Kan smiled as she pushed her glasses atop her head, a warm and inviting expression that seemingly always accompanied his name when greeting him. He had to admit that he enjoyed the way his name sounded in her specific accent.
“Hey” He said, a small smile of his own making an appearance, “I brought you some food”
“Oh, thank you! That’s so kind, is it lunch already?” She said as she dropped whatever was in her hand and stood.
Echo looked at her with a mixture of amusement and worry, “This is dinner”
Kan’s eyes widened, “What?”, She scrambled to find her datapad, looking at the time, “Oh maker, I’ll try and keep a closer eye on the time from now on”
Echo held back a grin at her sheepish expression, then the part of him that was worried about her took over, “You should really make sure you eat, and sleep, you haven’t been back to the barracks in days”
“Yeah I’ve been staying in here” She said, stepping through the mess of her office carefully. It seemed that there were little foot holes, a path that would only allow her small feet to enter. Kan took the food from him with a smile and stepped back the way she came.
“How do you manage to sleep in here? let alone work” Echo said, and as Kan turned to him she was delighted to find a small grin on his face.
She shrugged, “I don’t know, I mostly just fall asleep at my desk”
Echo shook his head and stepped back, “Alright, well try and make it back into an actual bed tonight maybe”
“Yes sir” Kan gave a little salute, then settled back in her chair, going back to what she was doing before he arrived.
Echo watched her for a second longer, feeling, once again, completely endeared by her demeanour. He chewed on the corner of his bottom lip, trying to decide whether he should feel so charmed by someone who was, for all intents and purposes, a colleague. Echo had never been confronted with the issue before, given that he had always worked alongside his brothers. He then left without a word, leaving the door open as he had found it.
Tumblr media
Despite Echo’s suggestion, Kan didn’t make it to bed that night, and Echo was almost of the mind to go back to her office and force her to get some proper rest. Almost. She then missed breakfast and lunch the next day, and Echo couldn't help but feel on edge.
It irritated him to no end that he couldn't focus on the task at hand. In the grand scheme of things, that being bringing down the Empire, but he couldn't even pay attention properly as him and Rex drew up a plan for his upcoming mission. Especially when said distraction came bursting into the room, a thin sheen of sweat coating her forehead and out of breath. Wasn't her office just down the hall?
Everyone turned and looked to the loud entrance, their questioning eyes landing on Kan.
“I decrypted the transmissions” She huffed out, taking a moment to breathe, “I've got something I think you'll want to hear”
“What is it?” Rex stood up straight, bringing his hands away from the central holotable.
Kan walked over quickly, and gestured to the holotable, “May I?”
Rex stepped back with a nod, and Kan quickly brought up a map of a sector in the outer rim territories, “They were talking about a planet in the Savareen sector, the Tyrius system I think… here!”
She zoomed into the unnamed planet and looked for the area they were talking about, “If I'm remembering correctly… yes, it's here” She pointed at a valley, “They've recently constructed a facility here, sounds like a prison of sorts, but they didn't use that word. They said they were sending clones there to be ‘processed’, but they didn't say what that meant. They implied that they would be sent elsewhere after this ‘processing’ though” She spewed out the words she had heard loud and clear through her headphones just minutes before.
“Did they say anything else?” Rex asked.
“No, just a lot of… nasty words about clones really” She said, then cursed herself for even giving that unnecessary information.
“Okay, thank you Kan, that's very useful intel, we'll get looking into it immediately” Rex smiled at her gratefully, but she could see that the information also weighed heavily on his mind as he looked back to the map.
“Alright, I'll continue to monitor this channel, see if I can find out anything else” She said, and turned on her heel to leave.
Echo watched her form slink out of the door, and the other clones in the room went back to whatever it was they were doing before she had entered. Echo looked up to Rex, who had taken a seat on the crate behind him, a slightly far-away look in his eyes. He could see that the weight of running this operation was finally beginning to wear him down.
“I think I'm just going to take five Echo, you do the same” Rex spoke, his eyes raising to his brother’s for a moment before he sat back against the wall and closed them.
Echo nodded with a pain in his chest for his brother, and wordlessly left the room, making his way to the person he couldn't stop worrying about.
“Kan” Echo called out from the end of the hallway, and she turned around, “You should eat something”
“I'll get something at dinner” She continued in the direction of her office, but Echo caught up to her in just a few strides, gently grabbing her forearm to stop her.
“You need to eat”
“I've got to monitor the chan-”
“Kan you haven't been taking care of yourself, you can't stop the Empire if you make yourself unwell” Echo kept the slight feeling of desperation out of his voice.
Kan saw a hint of something she couldn't place in his usual plain expression and bit the inside of her cheek. “Okay” She said quietly, and started walking in the direction of the mess. When she realised that Echo hadn't followed after her, she turned and looked at him, her usual smile making its return.
“Do you fancy joining me?”
Echo saw how eager she was and only hesitated for a moment before he gave in, walking over and falling into step with her as they made their way to the mess in a comfortable silence.
Kan entered the kitchen to see what she could find. She opened the door to the refrigerated room with a small grunt, it taking more effort than she had bargained for, having to put her whole body weight into it. Echo watched with a small amount of amusement, then rolled his eyes at himself for once again finding the most simple of her actions to be endearing, cute even. Maker, just shut up, he told the little voice in his head that brought the thought forward.
Kan and Echo took their seats opposite each other at their usual table, and Kan dug into the yoghurt pot she had taken. Echo was quiet, finding it equally awkward to watch her eat and to look away as she did so. Instead, he tried making some kind of conversation.
“You didn't come back to the barracks last night”
Kan looked up, “Yeah, I was decrypting all night”. Echo wanted to say something, but she continued, “I think I just get tunnel vision, you know? Like I can't stop doing something until I've finished it” She sighed, “This decryption has taken longer than I would've liked really”
“You should really make time to sleep and eat” Echo said, a reluctance to say that he was worried about her but still feeling he should express the sentiment.
“Okay, dad” She chuckled, giving him a playful look, and Echo supressed the amused smirk that threatened to take over his face. They settled into silence again for a moment.
“How have you been settling in?” Echo asked.
“Um, alright, I guess. I haven't really talked to many other people I suppose” Kan admitted, a shrug in her shoulders.
“You could maybe sit elsewhere at meal times if you wanted?” Echo suggested innocently, but Kan looked at him with a painfully noticeable amount of hurt.
“Right, yeah, I could” She said, looking down.
Echo only meant to offer a solution but instantly regretted his words, and especially when it came to dinner time and she was sat across the room, mingling with another group of clones.
Tumblr media
“I've never been lucky enough to meet a Mirialan before” The clone who had introduced himself as Oscar leaned forward and said, a certain cockiness about him.
“Is it everything you dreamed of?” Kan smirked slightly at his expression
“And more” He sent her a disarming smile and she chuckled at him, rolling her eyes slightly as she ate.
“Steady on Oscar” Another of the clones laughed at his brother, elbowing him in the ribs as he took his seat, “Howzer, nice to meet you”
She went to shake his hand, but he took it and held it to his lips, kissing the back of it. The action caught her off guard and her face flushed slightly.
“Alright, leave some for the rest of us for once Howzer” The clone named Teddy said, pushing his brothers shoulder over the table.
Kan liked the way clones interacted with each other. They really brought out the more playful sides of their brothers, most likely in reaction against the percieved single-use purpose of their existence.
“Don't you usually hang out with the bigwigs? What's got you over here?” Teddy asked her.
“No reason” She shruged, not wishing to admit that she'd felt pushed out by Echo.
“Well, their loss is our gain” Howzer smiled charmingly, the smooth words dropping from his tongue easily.
“I was gonna say that” Oscar grumbled and Kan smirked to herself.
“So what do you guys do around here?” She asked the group.
“We're a retrieval squad. The Captain here fancies himself a command position though” Oscar gestured to Howzer.
“You're a Captain?”
“What, you could tell by his sense of self-righteousness?” Teddy joked, earning a laugh from Kan.
“Shut up you two” Howzer rolled his eyes with a smile, “Yes, I'm a Captain”
“Cool” She donned her usual smile.
“I'm guessing by your performance in the command centre earlier that you're the new technical hire?” Howzer raised an eyebrow to question her.
“Yeah that's me” She smiled, adding a small salute “Sir”. Howzer chuckled at the pretend formality.
“What kind of performance did you put on?” Oscar asked with a sly smirk, earning a kick under the table from his brother.
“Maker, get your head out of the gutter Oscar” Teddy groaned, but Kan just chuckled at him.
“I've been working to decrypt imperial communications, I finally broke through and yeah, found some pretty useful information”
“So you're like, really clever then” Teddy stated and she smiled to herself.
“Sometimes” She shrugged, her eyes wandering across the room to where she usually ate at meal times. Her eyes found Echo’s stern gaze, and she offered him a small smile as she always did. He didn't return it this time, and looked away from her, leaving her feeling dejected once again.

His touch makes you feel safe // Levi Ackerman oneshot (fluff)
Tumblr media
You were never a fan of being touched, not because you're afraid of germs, but cause you had PTSD from guys thought you can trust, turn their lusts in and did things without your permission. But after meeting Levi, you crave for his safety and touch
Levi actually saved you from those guys you called "friends", seeing that you were uncomfortable and couldn't move from the shock of everything, you were dead on the insides of your "friend's" betrayal.
When you were taken care of by Levi's squad, everytime the men in his group tries to reach out and touch, you moved away and scream at their face to not touch you.
"Guys are all the same, don't you dare lay a finger on me!! Monsters!! I hate you!! I hate you I hate you I hate you!!" Tears running down your eyes as Petra, being the only woman in Levi's squad comforting you.
After what the others said to their captain, Levi doesn't blame you for having the strong hatred for men after what you'd been through. "Just leave her be, I don't know when she'll warm up to us, but we can't leave her like that" Levi says as everyone saluted at him and agreed with him.
A couple of days past, you went out of the bathroom, you weren't looking where you were going, you bumped into someone, feeling men hands on your arms you roughly and harshly pushed them away, hissing at the feeling of their hands on your bare skin, scratching the place where they touched you to the point it was turning bright red, making it bleed a little for your nails has gotten longer and sharper.
"Hey, hey!" You heard another man's voice as you pushed yourself away so they couldn't touch you, looking up to see it was the captain. Levi Ackerman.
"No!!"
"Hey I won't touch you. Just, stop doing that"
He said softly retracting his outstretched arms and back to his sides, eyeing your hands slowing down your scratches. You breathed deep in and out as, wincing at the pain from scratching too much and hard.
"I'm sorry those guys harmed you and traumatized you. They're being taken care of by the Military Police"
"Good, those men are monsters. I hate them, wish they can just die!"
"Hey"
You paused yourself holding a hand against your mouth as you looked him in the eyes before jogging across the hallway, heading to the roof top of the barracks.
Finding a wall, leaning against it sliding your whole body down, knees against your chest hugging them tightly, silently wincing at the pain on your arms, gripping them hard in the process too at how much you still have strong hatred in your heart.
You stayed there a bit, admiring the beautiful starry night sky, it calms you. The stars, moon, skies, it brings relief in your system. Sighing as you rest your head on top of your knees.
"Mind if I sit here?" Jolted in shock moving back a little seeing Levi again, you sigh looking at his hands to see he had a bucket of water and a towel, "what's that for?" Pointing at what he was holding, he puts it down, "let me treat those wounds" chills sent shivers down your spine at the gentleness this man as on you.
Nodding your head moving away a little more as he sat down beside you, "may I?" He asked outstretching his arm towards you, taken aback as you reach your hand for him to hold, closing your eyes shut as the water hit your skin, hissing at the pain making your feet squirm in place and finger twitching as Levi held you gently.
"Some of these will scar a little" he says softly before grabbing a roller bandage, wrapping it on your arm, noticing how he was meticulous at wrapping your arm, his touch was so gentle like a feather on skin, the entire time you were silent, so does he, taking care of your wounds.
When he finished patching your arms up, he hold them and caressed them carefully, Levi looked at you with half lidded eyes as you looked down at your feet.
"You're getting better"
"It's because.. you're not like those guys"
"Tch, I wanted to beat them up to death after what they're doing to you. The Military Police came right on time though"
"Thanks"
You said as you stood up and walked away, but before you could he stopped you, pulling away harshly at his touch looking back at him, he immediately apologizes before you walked away again, back to the room they have given you.
The next day approached, you still didn't go out of your room to eat for any form of touch from people, you want to avoid at all costs for the time being.
A knock was heard snapping your head towards the door, "who's there?"
"Captain Levi" you relaxed at the sound of his voice and hearing his name, "enter" you simply say hearing the door open, sitting up from your bed, hugging yourself as he placed a tray of mushroom soup, soft baked bread and mushed potatoes.
"I don't know what you like, so I got what looked appetizing"
"They look great"
"Taste not so much though. Eat your fill" he simply said before walking away to your door, but before he could leave you called his name out, he stopped in his tracks looking back at you, "stay.. please" you said with a small blush on your cheeks looking away, rubbing your bandaged arms.
You heard him sigh, taking a sit on your bed as his arms crossed over his chest, "eat, I'll take the tray out for you if you still don't want to leave this room" he says softly as you nodded taking a sit on the chair, smelling the food before taking a bite.
"This is better than those in the underground"
"I guess" he says as he admired you eating your fill.
Some time passes by and you finished eating, you looked back to him and nodded to him that's you're done, he stood up and grabbed the tray, "can I, accompany you?" You asked hesitantly, he looks at you before humming and gesturing you to follow him.
Smiled like a child before humming a song before following him out your room.
You did what you asked, you followed Levi around like an obedient pet, people was murmuring a little but you didn't care, started to warm up to the man too.
There's times you were getting distracted when Levi will softly hold you and shove you out of the way a little, he removed his hands at you, fearing you would push him away, but you didn't.
You actually smiled at him softly before holding his hand, he was taken aback but squeezed your hand before walking towards his office.
Weeks and months has passed, you were touched deprived, wanting Levi's touch throughout the day. He for some reason healed your trauma, but it's only when it's his touch and still uncomfortable with others, but you are getting better in terms of physical touch.
People started to have a rumor that you two were together even, by how close you were being to each other.
But Levi payed bo attention to them, he's glad that you were getting better as times passes by.
Craving his soft and gentle touches has started to get comforting to you.
He doesn't mind it at all.

Lone Wolf
A mech and a pilot handler deal with the loss of their shared pilot
"Commander on deck!"
There was a chorus of boots and servos as every person in the hangar saluted.
"At ease," called the Commander as she made her way to the center catwalk. Thankfully she wasn't one of those hardasses who enforced every single iota of protocol. She didn't need to. She had our respect. "New watch rotations after the latest casualties. Look 'em over, share 'em with your squad, get 'em done. I expect the new rotas to go into place with the 1800 shift. Command's still figuring out our next move, so if you're not on watch, take some R&R. Dismissed."
She turned to go. I looked at the posted watch schedule on my HUD. Then I ran after her.
"Sir!" I saluted, and tried to get my body into a parade rest position. It's not easy when you're twenty feet tall and your arms aren't supposed to bend that way.
The Commander put her hands on the railing and looked me in the head camera. "Yes, Corporal Stormcrow?"
"Sir, I noticed my name isn't on any of the rotas." She stared at me, face neutral. "Just wondering why. Sir."
She sighed, and pulled up her dataslate. "Following the events of Operation Waterfall and the death of Pilot Abagail Walker, awakened machine Corporal Stormcrow is to be relieved of duty until another suitable pilot is found," she read. She put it away again. "Sorry, Stormcrow. I'm sure they'll get you a new pilot soon." She turned to go again.
"Sir!" She stopped. "What if- Sir, I don't need a pilot. It's unnecessary to keep me decommissioned, I can fight just fine without one."
"Rules are rules, Corporal. Can't go breaking protocol just because you want revenge." She didn't turn around. "Dismissed, Stormcrow. Get some rest."
She got another ten paces before I couldn't stand it anymore. "Sir, do you know what the weak point of a mech is?" Everyone in the hanger had turned to look at me, but I was beyond caring. "The pilot! Kill the pilot and the whole machine goes dark. Everyone knows that. But I don't need one!"
She sighed, but still didn't turn around. "Corporal, the rules are there for a reason. The pilot helps you as much as you help them." She sounded tired. I didn't care.
"Sir, I'll blow things up for you. I'll capture targets for you. I'll escort shipments, rescue VIPs, hell, I'll turn into a goddamned truck for you, but I will not take on another pilot." I slammed my giant metal fist into the hangar wall, making the commander stumble. The sound echoed through the silent hangar. Slowly, I pulled myself back into something resembling parade rest, and tried not to scan the dent in the wall.
The Commander turned around slowly. "You're grieving," she said, "so I'll let it slide this time. Dismissed, Corporal."
She walked out of the hangar bay, and I was left standing alone.
---
Rain beat down on the roof of the hangar. Boots sounded on the catwalk, accompanied by the clattering of bottles. I looked up from my welding. "Handler Finn."
"Corporal Stormcrow." She sat down on the catwalk, letting her legs swing out in the air. Her tank top showed off her wiry frame. Not muscular, like Abagail had been, but fit, and too tall for the cockpit. I always felt like she should have been wearing spurs. There was a pop as she flicked the bottlecap off her first beer. "They'll writecha up for that, you know."
I finished welding my cockpit shut. "What are they gonna do, court-martial me?"
"Dock yer pay, at least," she drawled. She took a swig, let the silence roll out in front of her. "I miss her too, you know. There's like... a void in my head where she used to be." She tapped the side of her head, where the uplink implant was.
I contemplated my cockpit. Finn took another drink.
"Hell, how long did we work together? 'Spect it's only natural."
"Depends on how you count."
"Pardon?" She leaned against the railing, letting herself go boneless.
I turned to face her, my head level with the catwalk. "I spent ten years non-sapient as her M.I., and then another five as Corporal Stormcrow. Is that five, or fifteen?"
Finn let out a low whistle. "Fifteen years, huh? Can't hardly believe it." She took another swig. "Goddamn."
Lightning flashed through the windows, and a beat later a long, drawn-out rumble sounded through the mostly-empty hangar. Finn and I stared at the rain together.
"So, you wanna go solo, huh?"
"It just makes sense," I said, a little stiffly. "No pilot, no risk. They can shoot my cockpit all they like." I ran my fingers over the patch job the engineers had done after the op.
"Guess I can't blame ya. I ain't the one putting my neck on the line." She took another plug, set the empty bottle down.
"......yeah," I said. "It won't... be the same without you."
"Then again," she popped the cap on another bottle, "there's a reason they group us all up. We watch each other's backs."
"What's a scrawny little pilot supposed to do to watch my back?" I snarled. "Pain in my ass."
Finn put the bottle down and gave me a look. "Now, I know you didn't mean to say that about our poor Abagail."
I couldn't look her in the eye. After a moment, I muttered, "I did a pretty piss-poor job of watching her back, too."
Rain fell against the windows in waves. After a moment, I looked back at Finn. Her cheeks were wet. "Damned," she said, a hitch in her voice, "leaky roof. Command really oughtta fix this thing. Somebody could get hurt."
I scanned the sealed roof, and looked back at the rain. "......yeah."
"You know- you know she wouldn't blame ya. Right?"
I put my hand over my cockpit with the sounds of shifting metal. "...yeah. But that-" a warning flashed on my HUD, and I dismissed it. "That doesn't matter. I'm still going solo."
"Mm." Finn picked her bottle back up, swirled it around by her fingertips. "I met the new kid."
It took me a moment to process the change of subject. "The pilot? They replaced Abagail already?"
"'S conditional," she said, taking a drink. "Lots of pilots in the program these days. Supposed to be the safest place in the forces." She let out a hollow chuckle. "Seems like a good kid. Eager, but respectful-like. We're s'posed to have a neurolink test next week."
I couldn't believe it. "You- you can't be serious."
She looked at me and wiped her cheeks. "I can't live like this, Stormcrow. Not half-in and half-out. Not with this... hole in my head. Mebbe you're built different, but for me, it's either this or..." she let the sentence trail off into the rain.
I shook my head and started walking to the other side of the hanger. To replace her? So quickly? Maybe humans could forget that easily, but I couldn't. I could still feel her, hands on my controls, voice shouting in the neurolink...
"-mcrow! Stormcrow!"
"Huh?" I jolted to. Chronometer said several minutes had elapsed. Finn stood on the catwalk near me, holding her half-empty six-pack.
"I'm headin' out. Gonna take a walk, try and get my head on straight, before I get all maudlin on ya." She grinned ruefully. "Well, more maudlin."
I straightened myself up. Could at least keep things professional. "Good to see you, Finn. Take care." I held out my finger, and she shook it.
I turned to go back into my charging alcove, but she stopped me. "Hey, after the neurolink test next week, I want to bring the kid by. Have her meet you, hear your side of things."
I bristled. "I'm not gonna let some punk kid pilot me."
"No piloting. Just... remembering Abagail. So she knows."
I relaxed my alert level, sighed. "All right. See you around, Finn."
"Take care, Stormcrow."
I plugged myself in, and listened to the sound of the rain.

Jonathan is really being very clear about his survival strategy today.
I began to fear as I wrote in this book that I was getting too diffuse; but now I am glad that I went into detail from the first, for there is something so strange about this place and all in it that I cannot but feel uneasy. [...] Let me be prosaic so far as facts can be; it will help me to bear up, and imagination must not run riot with me. If it does I am lost. Let me say at once how I stand—or seem to.
Write everything down in detail so that he can confirm it later. Already, several odd instances have happened, as well as him noting multiple times on different days that "the Count himself did x" which then supported his theory, confirmed today, that there are no servants here.
I started, for it amazed me that I had not seen him, since the reflection of the glass covered the whole room behind me. In starting I had cut myself slightly, but did not notice it at the moment. Having answered the Count's salutation, I turned to the glass again to see how I had been mistaken. This time there could be no error, for the man was close to me, and I could see him over my shoulder. But there was no reflection of him in the mirror! The whole room behind me was displayed; but there was no sign of a man in it, except myself.
When something weird happens, double-check to make sure you observed it correctly. In this case he checked back in his mirror and yes, there really was no reflection.
When I found that I was a prisoner a sort of wild feeling came over me. I rushed up and down the stairs, trying every door and peering out of every window I could find; but after a little the conviction of my helplessness overpowered all other feelings. When I look back after a few hours I think I must have been mad for the time, for I behaved much as a rat does in a trap. When, however, the conviction had come to me that I was helpless I sat down quietly—as quietly as I have ever done anything in my life—and began to think over what was best to be done. I am thinking still, and as yet have come to no definite conclusion. Of one thing only am I certain; that it is no use making my ideas known to the Count. He knows well that I am imprisoned; and as he has done it himself, and has doubtless his own motives for it, he would only deceive me if I trusted him fully with the facts. So far as I can see, my only plan will be to keep my knowledge and my fears to myself, and my eyes open. I am, I know, either being deceived, like a baby, by my own fears, or else I am in desperate straits; and if the latter be so, I need, and shall need, all my brains to get through.
A whole bunch going on here. His instinctive reaction is panic, but a type of panic that actually matches his character really well: being thorough, checking every possible option. But as soon as he can, he calms down and tries to think things through logically. His solution: keep quiet about it.
We saw this the other day in the caleche ride actually. Jonathan specifically said that he if he was right that the driver was deliberately delaying, then asking about it wouldn't help in any case. It's the same thing here: his own observations make it clear that Dracula is acting against him, and confronting him about it would only prompt him to lie. Worse, he may get more openly aggressive. Better to stay quiet and observant. Try to think clearly.
He did not come at once into the library, so I went cautiously to my own room and found him making the bed. This was odd, but only confirmed what I had all along thought—that there were no servants in the house. When later I saw him through the chink of the hinges of the door laying the table in the dining-room, I was assured of it; for if he does himself all these menial offices, surely it is proof that there is no one else to do them. This is a terrible thought; for if so, what does it mean that he could control the wolves, as he did, by only holding up his hand in silence. How was it that all the people at Bistritz and on the coach had some terrible fear for me? What meant the giving of the crucifix, of the garlic, of the wild rose, of the mountain ash? Bless that good, good woman who hung the crucifix round my neck! for it is a comfort and a strength to me whenever I touch it. It is odd that a thing which I have been taught to regard with disfavour and as idolatrous should in a time of loneliness and trouble be of help. Is it that there is something in the essence of the thing itself, or that it is a medium, a tangible help, in conveying memories of sympathy and comfort? Some time, if it may be, I must examine this matter and try to make up my mind about it. In the meantime I must find out all I can about Count Dracula, as it may help me to understand. To-night he may talk of himself, if I turn the conversation that way. I must be very careful, however, not to awake his suspicion.
Jonathan recontextualizes earlier incidents based on his current knowledge, and builds hypotheses about what might be going on. He doesn't immediately jump to conclusions but he also doesn't dismiss seemingly supernatural or superstitious elements, both helpful and harmful. He uses the fact that Dracula likes to talk to him in order to subtly gather information. He also is clear here that he doesn't immediately write down his suspicions. He's thought since the beginning that Dracula was alone here, but has confined himself to mentioning direct observations until he had firm enough evidence to confirm his theory. I think this is especially interesting in the context of things like him not mention outright that Dracula could beat him in a physical confrontation, or stuff like him not wandering the castle too far yesterday. He may well be thinking about what 'locked doors' mean with great worry immediately, but he doesn't act right away and doesn't tell his entire chain of thought to his journal. Later on when he may seem to jump to conclusions at times it's very possible that he's had theories percolating for a long time before mentioning them.
Above all he tries to operate under facts, and to keep calm and amass as much information as possible, while staying under the radar as much as possible.
