i really like that kakashi parallels himself and sasuke with the third and orochimaru when he goes to put sasuke down because so much of kakashi’s life HAS been people trying to make him like the third or even just to be violent in general to the point that when he gets confronted with a situation like the third’s he DOES try the exact same thing despite the fact that he so vehemently DOESN’T want to like i just love how he goes to confront one of his kids resigned to the fact that his life has to follow some script that’s already happened before and that he couldn’t make any change but instead his kids love each other so much and love him so much that instead they all end up there together in a way so far outside of his expectations like god that moment healed so many wounds and fears in team seven but i just love how much of a turning point it was for kakashi specifically and how real it suddenly seemed to be for him that no neither you nor your kids have to end up the way the people before you did

I didn't get him (and I need to save my keys for Silver's birthday, sob) so I looked up his groovy, and I'm not over how incredibly dramatic and epic and cool it looks in direct contrast to the absolutely ridiculous context. just look at that dynamic action and his majestic sparkling tears and keep in mind that this is pretty much right after a bunch of characters have been dance battling for his soul.

and then even the actual moment of the groovy is just like

this is NOT a negative in the slightest, I love it all, this truly was an incredible update in so many ways

i truly commend and admire marisha ray to no end because someone with less confidence or thinner skin (probably myself included) would've shied away from these big character choices after the way keyleth was treated but following keyleth up with beau and then LAUDNA is a true feat. she has never once backed down or diluted herself to be more palatable or even to just avoid catching the brunt of completely misplaced and blind hate from many "fans" + baffling misinterpretations of her actions. sometimes i get really upset about how some viewers talk about her choices and characters and then i just have to remember that she literally doesn't give a single fuck and neither should i.

DC must not want money because if they did, they would have made a Batman & Robin movie or show centered on Bruce getting Dick. Currently, people are all about "disgruntled man suddenly has a child he is not blood related too and becomes a father", if DC just use the recipe with Bruce and Dick, people would eat that shit up. Especially because Batman's story is about hope, and what better way to deliver that than by giving him a kid?! Especially as it is the goal of the recipe, to give hope to the disgruntled man! Instead of trying again and again to sell Batman had this "misery 4ever" story (which it is not supposed to be) to please the edgelords.

the thing with being a book fan who watches the show, and also reads fics, is that i never know who the author is talking about until they namedrop. the other day, i was reading a fic where one of the hermes campers had blond hair and blue eyes and my first thought was "oh so they're using book!luke's description, it's been a while since i read one of those"
