We talked and hugged and I gave him ALL the cards. Lol

THIS HAS BEEN SITTING UNFINISHED FOR ALMOST A FUCKING YEAR #and of course i get around to it right after making that stupid masterpost. well there's another one to add i guess #anyway. this was originally now that you're gone part 2. basically aryll's counterpart to their dad's perspective #botw #loz #skribbles #i will say ignoring this for so long was good actually because it confirmed my suspicions that my pen pressure no longer works #the way it used to. so if you see any weird inconsistencies between panels or pages it's not me it's my fucking tech #for some reason i need WAY more pressure than i used to to get the same level of opacity in sai which is. not great for my hands #but whatever ive gotten used to it by now. ignore the inconsistencies in this comic its fine

this is so important actually. the image and voice of dazai, one of the smartest people atsushi knows, manifested by atsushi's mind telling him that he knows something dazai doesn't. he can do what dazai can't. he's smart enough to save everyone, despite his doubts about himself. and he knows it, even if he needs a voice that isn't his own to say it to him.

The Hunt - Part 1

It's done!!!! Yippee. This took me four months to finish, six of which were finished in the last three days. I couldn't stand staring another second at this so line art only for the remaining two-thirds.

I blame Filbrick for my lack of motivation because I would stare at his face and instantly lose my will to draw. (Probably just being overwhelmed by how much I needed to do but ANYWAY-)

This part is done now. I'll start on part 2 eventually, but for now I'm resting. It won't be coloured, just cleaned up because damn I overestimated myself on this one. I believed in my ability do long-period tasks way too much.

But anyhow. Since it's been *four months* since I intentionally mentioned this comic, i should reexplain the premise. So I had been watching an animatic on yt, and I was reading the description when it mentioned Moral Orel. It inspired me on a what-if idea of Filbrick taking one of his sons on a camping trip to beat some toxic masculinity into them. I had a poll to decide whether this supposed son would be Stan or Shermie ( I hc Shermie as older) since I could honestly see either slotting into this scenario with Filbrick. Was leaning a bit more towards Shermie just because I figured he would be a more hands-on in dictating his life choices than the twins, y'know first born debuff and all. But Stan won, and who am I to deny, right?

I picture the twins being somewhere between 13-15 during this. Like a little after Filbrick had them doing boxing. Anyway, I am going to go take a break from thinking about this comic.

(there will still be a post tomorrow to keep on track)#The original 3 panel comic idea was fine but the point of this new schedule was to take time to push myself a bit more.#I was taking a look back through some comic artists I felt inspired by #and I really loved how Lynda Barry fills her gutters with patterns and doodles!#Obviously I'm not going as absolutely wild with it as she does but it was a great exercise!#I truly think the gutters are the most important and most overlooked part of any comic. There's lots going on in that space.#It's the same with timeskips. The implied movement between moments that we don't see changes depending on how wide that gap is #You're here for the funny tags so here's some that ties this time talk together:#I think LWJ was thinking about that second note from day 2 but it took him 7 days of hazing to commit it to paper.#I think he sends it a day later and immediately regrets it. Chasing down the messenger and everything.#You know if something actually happened to his brother he would never ever forgive himself for putting the bad vibes out there.#Third time skip was the hardest because there was so many possible flavours of jokes here. Day 8/9 was a personal favourite.#day 14 was also funny (week by week). I think the debate on 'how long does lwj take to catch feelings' is more or less:#'how long does it take for him to arrive at a particular stage of grief and yearning (and awareness of it all)#This is a symphony. There is an act by act structure. Every day he is fighting to keep his old sensibilities. He is losing so badly.#(I'll be returning to the main comic soon but there is more of this AU to come!)

Like I said in one of my previous posts i think abt this scene far too much. Wanted to interpret it outside of just the sprites

I especially wanted to point out Godpoke's part in it, because sure, Capo was the one who went too far, but they/you were the one to deliver the message to Razzma and she even kinda calls them/you out on it. Also from a standpoint of Godpoke as a character it could be a learning moment for them, the first time they accidentally genuiely hurt someone via their use of Megapon. Could make them think twice next time and such.

Also I'm still surprised at how Capo yelled this line out almost right away, no hesitation. I wonder how aware he was of this being self projection at that time. Shit's fucked up.

#Also the panelling on the 2nd page has further context #because in game capo switches from a more 'serious' face when he thinks about what he said to a more goofy one when he asks you-#-if he went too far #and i think while it can be genuine i also like the idea of this being like. him having a genuine moment where he thinks over what he said #but then he remembers you're standing there so he puts up the more goofy act #because as one of the notes from the artbook say he was told to 'play dumb'. so play dumb he will #that's more of a bonus trivia though and i think you can interpret this both ways. if you rrly wanna get into overanalyzing the sprites lma #fanart #great god grove #ggg #capochin ggg #razzmatazz ggg #razzma ggg #godpoke ggg
