ok so i’ve been obsessed with the idea of shanks visiting kuraigana over time skip cause like he and zoro would get along so well. hear me out. here’s this teenager who looks and acts like a baby mihawk, follows mihawk around like a lost little duckling, knows loves and protects his kid, is unbelievably blunt but also painfully earnest when it comes to his captain, and also an excellent drinking partner??? sorry that’s his kid now he don’t gaf. they’d be drinking and swapping luffy stories within the hour. shanks is showing zoro baby photos, zoro is telling shanks about all the times luffy accidentally launched himself off the ship. zoro would absolutely challenge shanks and shanks would definitely indulge him. idk about y’all but i got along so well with my ex’s mom and i feel like it would be like that with zoro and shanks, like zoro thinks shanks is a genuinely cool and fun person because he respects his strength and alcohol tolerance. shanks absolutely adores zoros protectiveness towards his crew and his ambition. they are drinking and gossip buddies now idk what to tell you ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Loses the plot a little #After having a massive argument with jack and Nurm over it he flees town and heads straight for the manor #And attempts to make the machine he used to revive grim again. But things don't go to plan #Because he's so frazzled and rushed it comes out quite sloppy. Plus he needs bones. And while Dan's bones ARE in the manor #So are a lot of zombie bones. He accidentally creates some freakish mindless bloodthirsty zombie that looks an awful lot like Dan...#Ofc it tried to kill him. But Tray is just so desperate to see Dan again that he ignores this and welcomes the creature with open arms #Before it could hurt him jack finds him and kills it though so he's good!! Tray is furious about this until Jack talks some sense into him #So yah 😝

I've reread the Abhorsen books for decades now, but I didn't know until this year that the audio books are read by Tim Curry?? I'm listening now and he's doing a great job. Every time I revisit Lirael I'm struck again how Nix understands the hearts of girls. Lirael has a bad birthday, decides to kill herself and gets teary-eyed when picturing how pretty she will be dead in the snow and how all the other girls will be SO SORRY when they find her beautiful broken body. Nothing has even been so true to the experience of being a 14 year old girl. Soon after, she gets a dagger and new color-ranked clothing, a clockwork mouse and a bracelet that lights up more and more as you get better with magic. He just gets it, you know?

and a dog she also gets Dog :) i did NOT know that about tim curry bc i always read them aloud to myself . im allergic to audio books bc i gotta hear it the way i would read it lkajsldkjfsalskj
