SO I WAS THINKING.

It seems like a somewhat common hc that fugo doesn’t like being called “pannacotta”. And at face value, one might think it’s cus that’s like a really dumb name.

But fugo isn’t the only jojo character with a weird name ofc, not by a long shot. And he’s also not the only gw character with a food name (most of them do have food related names) but that’s obvious anyway.

What I’m getting at is, for that hc, why doesn’t he wanna be called pannacotta?

One option would be that he just doesn’t want to be called pannacotta because he doesn’t want people (the bucci gang) calling him by his first name.

Maybe it feels overly familiar? Which would be odd given the fact that they are ((at the very least in my mind)) very close.

Or, maybe he prefers it because people would talk to him condescendingly? Relatives, or other people he used to know. Being a young child (and then a teen) people are almost definitely not going to be calling him by his surname.

His family and people who know them specifically. “(Mr.) Fugo” would be only used for his father, or some other older man in his family.

So it could be that he prefers being called fugo because to him at least, it feels much more respectful?

Or it could be more that he gets to choose what people call him now.

Okay, so, I’m gonna be offering two ideas as to why Fugo might hate being called by her first name

number one is, obviously, looking at the headcannon with the idea that she’s trans, and is using her last name as a sort of chosen name. It explains why she doesn’t like being called Pannacotta, which acts as a deadname. As for the reason she might choose to go by Fugo specifically, there’s a couple options.

The one that’s easiest for me to explain is the idea that she only realized that she was trans some point after meeting Bucciaratti, maybe before the two got to know eachother very well. At this point, it’s around 1999-2000, and transphobia is much more common, so telling him that she wants to go by a different, more feminine name might be dangerous. instead of risking that, it would be much easier to go by her last name instead. It would be an odd request, but it could be brushed off as a formality, and it’s a name that Bucciaratti already knows.

my reasoning there was kinda weird, but it took me an hour to write, so I’m moving on to idea number two.

this one is focusing more on her past. One of the first things that we can pick up from Fugo’s backstory is that she was forced to grow up incredibly fast, and wasn’t given the chance to have a proper childhood. This sort of “don’t be childish” mentally has been forced onto her for her entire life, which is where the line “Being a young child (and then a teen) people are almost definitely not going to be calling him by his surname.” comes in. Since being called by her first name is informal/not as respectful, she could’ve just started going by Fugo at some point while she was in college to seem more like an adult. She wouldn’t like being called Pannacotta because to her, it would be insulting.

This one is a fun concept because it gives the opportunity for good character development. As she slowly lets go of the idea that she has to be mature and act like an adult, she gets more comfortable going by her first name, and she gets to be happy about being allowed to act like a teenager for once.

Law giving Luffy a piercing

I specifically have a highschool au in mind where law does his own piercings and one day Luffy asks him for one so they skip class to give luffy an ear piercing in the school bathroom

I think ace would just say "cool" and move on but Sabo would be pissed, who did this to his little brother? Did they even use a proper needle? Was the jewelry clean? Why didn't Luffy come to him so he could get it done at a proper place? He'd try to take it out too but Luffy wouldn't let him

And when the piercing heals law and Luffy buy matching jewelry, maybe law gives luffy even more piercings (I really want to see luffy with dimples it's been on my mind nonstop)

Mgmnn but also regular pirate universe where law gives luffy ear piercings but as a date of that makes sense?

Law bringing Luffy back to his room and the two of them just cuddling on the bed talking nonsense when piercings come up and law offers to give luffy one which Luffy is ecstatic about

So law starts getting everything set up. He gets the needle out and some extra jewelery he has and they pick out the earrings together ("which one do you like?" "It's your earring, pick which one you like the most" "but I want to know which one Torao likes the most" "why?" "Because I wanna be pretty to look at for Torao of course!" )

Law even holds Luffy's hand when he does the piercing. Luffy doesn't need the comforting, he just wants to hold laws hand and this is the perfect excuse, not that he ever needs an excuse to hold laws hand

It's a bit hard to do the piercing while holding hands but law made it work (he can be as clingy as Luffy if not even more clingy, he'd never admit it though)

Law then instructs Luffy on how to take care of the piercing but Luffy insists that he'll definitely need help so that just means they'll have to see each other more often

But also Luffy with a lip ring and law staring at Luffys lips and wanting to kiss him all the time, but more specifically law being the one to have given Luffy that piercing

Even before the piercing law was always staring at Luffy's lips and one day out of the blue just blurted out if Luffy had ever thought of getting a lip piercing which luffy says he hasn't but that it sounds cool and he'd be willing to get one (he also teases law about how he especially doesn't mind if it'd give law more to stare at but law chooses to ignore that part)

So law gets everything set up and before he even gets started and Luffy is just sitting on the chair law just kisses Luffy and they make out for a while before law remembers what he was supposed to do and gets everything in place again but can't help himself from kissing Luffy in between

Luffy says something about how affectionate law is being and law tells him that after he gets the piercing they won't be able to kiss while it's healing which is news to Luffy, and he immediately jumps law and kisses him

They don't get the piercing done that day ("Luffy we still need to do the pierci-" "there's still time, less talking more kissing" )

Then Luffy finds out he also won't be able to give blow jobs and the piercing gets delayed again

They eventually do get the piercing done and Luffy is whining within an hour of how it's so unfair he can't kiss Torao which law would tease him for if he wasn't feeling the same way, it felt especially unfair for him since the jewelry made Luffys lips looks even more appealing and he couldn't kiss him stupid

Wrote 203 words on "15 Minutes" chapter 11! Yeah, I'm absolutely celebrating those 203 little words because they're 203 words I was beginning to be afraid were never going to show up. 😬🤗

I think I figured out a way where I can go ahead and pre-order the Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster! This is also HUGE because I really, really want this thing but thought I couldn't try it because of my concerns about how Georgette will be able to handle the Denuvo Anti-Cheat. However, I realized I do have a way to test that without paying full price for the game: Dead Rising 4 (which I own already) still has Denuvo on it. So... I'm going to do a full backup for Georgette, pray super duper hard, then install and see if I can play DR4. Don't have to play the whole game or anything, of course, but I figure a couple of hours of play should give me all the info I need. If Georgette handles that okay, then I'd say that's the green light for DRDR! It has soooooo many awesome things in it, friends, and I've been dying on the inside at not being able to play it when it becomes available! (If Georgette returns to dying every 10 seconds, then I'll cry quite hard for a while but at least I'll know.)

The thing about "love is a sacrament that should be taken kneeling" is that it really doesn't fit marriage proposals because it is actually a sad and very catholic coded tbh sentence about humility and worthiness from someone who was at their lowest and it ressonates with me for the parts I agree but also for the parts that I don't and that make me think of an anxious teen on his knees doing one ot the most important rituals (the Confirmation) for a religion he doesn't really believe and that doesn't really accept or believe in him because he wants to make his mom proud and happy (De Profundis was hard for a lot of reasons but I was not expecting my catholic upbriging to be one of them).

The other thing about "love is a scrament that should be taken kneeling" is that everytime someone points out it's not actually about romance they complete it with "is tots about bjs" and like I can see why better than I can see romance but previous perfomance does not equal future results Wilde can write things that aren't puns nor inuendos (shocker I know). So it's not about blowjobs. But like if you want to use it as so, go wild, have fun. Just don't spread it as if it was intencional.
